Dr.Wenger is a wonderful teacher. His topics are clear and lessons are well planned. If you buy a new book it comes with a CD and study guide which is EXTREMELY helpful. The course covers a lot of material, but if you study, you should do well. He grades on a curve for exams and will email results.

Wenger keeps every class interesting and varied, and it hardly seems like a lecture. He used to be a math teacher, and so he loves to curve all the exams and give extra points. He's honest, and doesn't push any opinions on students.

Wenger is extremely nice and outgoing. He will really bend over backwards to help you out one on one. As a lecturer, he is sometimes confusing in an absent-minded sort of way. LOTS of book use, homework every week.Study for his tests, they're not the easiest, but he curves bigtime, so it usually evens out. Stats is not the most exciting subject.

This guy is a pro at teaching. There are so many bad professors at HACC, but he's one of the best. He made me want to read my book. The people who do badly are the people who don't read the assigned pages. I will seriously consider majoring in Psych BECAUSE of him.

You must complete a 16 week experiment, and Dr. Wenger is extremely helpful. He curves his test, and doesn't mind working with a student outside of class. This man is VERY energenic, you won't fall asleep in this class;)

He was a great teacher! In class he does not go from the book at all. He uses his own notes class and also examples to help you to better understand. His tests come from mainly his in class lectures, however there is a percentage from the book readings. If u need PSYC and want to have a fun time in class take Jay Wenger!

He is entertaining to listen to. which makes tests not so hard since what he says in lecture is on the test. Interesting class, I took a 3 hour night class and he held my attention!

He was such a great prof. He is enthusiastic and loves his job. You don't need to talk in class (infact, no one does) but just show up. If you pay attention you'll do great, and there are extra credit assignments if you fail a test. tests are curved!!! There is only ONE graded assignment for his class, you can't beat it. He is my favorite professor at HACC. I've learned more in the two classes I've taken from him than all my other classes at HACC combined. My only complaint would be that he uses ALOT of sports analogies, but you get used to it. I recommend everyone take him if they can. He's very smart and is a born teacher.

Great Prof. If you attend classes and make notes from assigned readings, you can get an A. Keeps class interesting and is funny. Plenty of extra credit offered and curves tests. Lots of textbook based questions and it was about 60-70 textbook pages per test so you gotta work but its doable! I got an A! Would take him again!

I would totally recommend taking his class. Study for his tests. Take notes. Pay attention and don't text on your cell phone during the class(he will take points off of your grade). He uses video clips, cartoons and stories to help the students remember the material. I passed with an A and I would love to take a class of his again.

Take his class if you can! Very interesting. The best tip I can give you is to read the information (from the textbook) before he goes over it in class. ALSO~ Pay attention to his onine study guides. He downplays them, but they are vital. AGAIN, GREAT prof.

He comes of as very arrogant, often referring to his own research and papers he did when sometimes they seem irrelevant. He talks about how people in psychology work "under" him. He also seems to brag about the fact that he taught in Tunisia and now he is going to Kenya. It's impressive but sometimes he seems like he brags about it.

Very, very good. I really enjoyed being in his class. There are many opportunities for extra credit and he is very helpful. Sometimes he can be a little all over the place, but he tells good stories to help remember information. If you read the book, pay attention during class, and study you will do well.

Great teacher but hard class! He's right when he says to get a good grade on his test just read the chapters twice.. but the chapters happen to be really long! Gives xtra credit, 1 paper, and 4 tests.. Tests are multiple choice but don't have blantly obvious answers... He gives a lot of "example" questions which u have to figure out the answers

Loved his class. He's so enthusiastic about his classes and loves to give anecdotes. He wants you to succeed and if enough people do badly on the test he usually curves it a bit. He encourages question and likes to make sure you know what is going on. His tests are pretty simple if you are there. Overall, just awesome Prof! Would take again!

I was very nervous because it was my first year at college but I can say he is one of the best teachers at HACC!! He told you right off the bat when you needed to do to get a good grade in his class and gave a whole list of extra credit and there was only two written assignments the whole semester. His exams were really easy to understand.

I would definitely take classes with Dr.Wenger again! He's got experience teaching in Kenya and Estonia, as well as other places, so he knows his stuff. He's also done lots of studies, and he shares the results with the class to show the application of concepts. He certainly knows his stuff!

He's such a thorough professor. At first I thought he was just going through the motions; I realized soon that he knew what he was doing to get the points across. You have to go to class in order to get at least two test answers right, as he likes to see if you're paying attention. Study vocab words and the ITALIC words.

The exams are all Psych 241 material. Literally. The lecture part of class is repeat of 241. The bulk of the class, though, is the research project. GO SMALL & EASY on your research project because SPSS sucks and the teacher doesn't really have the program memorized that he can tell you exactly what to do. If you've made it this far, it's easy.

In his class, he lectures the entire time, which can be tedious at points, but his lectures are usually interesting and filled with unique stories and examples of the material. His tests can throw you at first, but once you get used to them, they're easy, you just have to read your book. Very nice and funny person, I recommend him for psych classes

i had dr wenger for 241 an 242 the courses are hard but he is very helpful. some of the last chapters in 242 are a review of 241.

AMAZING professor. Note taking is easy because he lectures along with a power point. he provides funny and relatable stories to remember material for tests. Tests are a combination of his lectures and material from the book, so like any class you must read the text book assignments to pass. tests are harder material but curved generously.

Nicest, funniest guy. His tests are mainly based on what's in the book so it's quite a bit of reading but if you read the tests are so easy. He also takes the pressure off you by curving the test grades generously so you don't fail. There are only TWO assignments in his class and they are so easy I got an A on both of them. Easy A. This professor make it easy to understand the material. He curves his test which is nice even if you don't need it. His test are a combination of what is in the text book and what he goes over in lectures. Only two homework assignments and they are easy. He is overall a pretty easy professor if you pay a little attention.

Dr. Wenger is an enthusiastic and clear lecturer with a wealth of knowledge in psychology. His tests can be difficult because you cover a lot of material, however if you show up to class and take notes as well as read the required textbook pages, you will not have a problem here. The best teacher I have had at hacc. Hes kind a bit on the corky side but that make a not only his personality but his lectures extremely interested. He interests and intrigues me on actually learning and wanting to learn the material then just learn for a credit. I wish I could take more classes with him.

One of the best teachers Ive ever had. His lectures definitely keeps ones interest in the class. During lectures, he uses a lot of real life examples which helps you to remember important concepts for chapters and overall the test. If you dont understand something or just need clarification, he has no problem helping you. Great professor.

Has 4 exams besides the Final as well as 3 papers. As long as you genuinely pay attention and read the book youll get an easy A or B. He is super energetic and loves what he teaches. LOTS OF NOTES. But he makes it interesting and fun. I cant wait to have him as a prof the third time next semester!!

Class helped me learn a lot about myself and problems I have

Professor Wenger is such a blast to take. He can be a little quirky but he really holds your attention. I'm sure you can skip class, but you will definitely miss a lot of information. A good portion of the information for exams are from the book, from the lectures and from what he verbally says (example wise).

The class I took was a summer course, which moved very fast. There was a lot of reading and homework assignments. As hard as it sounds, it was all helpful when it came to exams. He is always willing to help and if you are having problems understanding class material or outside school, talk to him because he is understanding.

Great lectures with humor, fantatic examples, very nice guy. If you have an option, I would NOT take this course at the Harrisburg Campus with the woman professor! Take this class with him instead! He helps u understand what u need to while not making you feel dumb 4 ?s asked. Don't be afraid to take this course in the summer with him, hes great!

He was excellent at presenting material. Examples that helped you relate. READ your text twice. I saw the extra time he put into classmates that struggled, he wants you to succeed, but even more he wants you to understand the material. So you can apply it outside the classroom. He is very passionate about research and the topic he teaches.

Wenger is AMAZING, you do need to be in class because he teaches lectures based on things we wont read so the exams are 50 % lecture material and 50% textbook material. He is great in breaking the material down. Stay on top of your reading and you got this.

Very energetic and entertaining during lectures. Gave my class breaks every hour. Textbook is required about 60-90 pages to read for each exam. Easy grader, only had to write two papers which required at least one page.

He is very lively and energetic while instructing, he makes his classes engaging and enjoyable. His grading criteria is always very clear and he isn't a tough grader, he's more than willing to help if you need it. The tests revolve around a lot of information from the book and he will tell you what will be on exams. Good notes + memory will help.

dr Wenger is a great professor he really teaches you the information. if you want feedback ask him and you'll receive it. this was a stats class so it was hard, so practice if you want to pass. we had 6 exams excluding the final that's CUMULATIVE. the textbook is easy to understand and that's where the exams and homework come from.

Dr. Wenger was a great professor. The class was composed of 6 tests (1 test every two weeks) and 1 cumulative final exam. Also, three big projects that are really easy if you pay attention. It was a statistics class so it was tough, but he made sure everyone understood everything. He was also an easy grader which helped with my anxiety!

I was impressed with how well Dr. Wenger conducted such a challenging course, all the while being totally virtual! he is very kind and a terrific professor for psychology especially for online. make sure to pay attention because attendance quizzes will be given throughout the slides. 35% percent of whats on the test will be in the text book, 35% in the notes and the rest of what he says in class. the study guides will help you more for the final.

Wenger was a very entertaining professor! Attend lectures, as his tests include things that were only said in class, not in the textbook (which is given by the way). They consisted of m/c and two s/a questions. He only had 2 assignments; each 1 pagers. Take notes and read! You can get an A every test, even on the final! He curves every test too!

Wenger is a great and humble professor who really wants the best for his students. He makes class interesting and does attendance checks during his online classes to make sure you're paying attention and are understanding the material. I enjoyed his class so much that I decided to take Psych 242 with him as well.

He is a really fair guy, lecture was engaging even though it was an 8:00 am. Tests are curved, but honestly if you just pay attention in class and read the pages in the textbook once you will be good. He has lots of stories and examples in the lectures relating to the topics so the information is easy to retain. I 100% recommend his class.
