She's really really really NICE! She's easy, too. She lets us use as many notes as we want on our exam. You have 2 exams, a research paper, and a final. She's very funny, intelligent, and laid back. Doesn't take attendance, very laid back, and a breeze. Make sure you get her for your Govt 2301-2302!

I love this teacher. For a person that know nothing in Govt, she is cool> And she lets u use all ur note. Unlimited amount of pages. And on the exams. But you have to come to class. and you have to do your paper and you have to show efffor. Overall. I wish she is teaching any Govt or history class.

This teacher is what i needs. She teaches but at the same time in like a high school level so noone is left behind. She clarifies things, and she helps you to get things done right.. And when in need of legal advising, she is even there to help you.. I wish she taught all my classes.

This instructor is cool as hell she is just really laid back and does not pesture about little**** like tardies. She has a really easy to understand way of teaching and her lectures are interesting. What makes me admire her is that she loves teaching and u can tell, she's not biased and she is very open to ALL of her students...highly recommended

This teacher often goes off topic, but she is extremely informative about current events, and although biased, she tries to present information so that you can draw your own opinion.

You seriously have to be stupid not to pass her class. She gives you terms at the beginning of the semester to every test. and its your job to take notes on it and then on the test you can use your notes, even on the final. Shes a good teacher she talks alot about current events which make the class interesting! Shes never there on time,U can b LAT

Mrs. Sutter is very nice teacher, her tests are open notes and i is overall a easy class, just study lil bit and you are fine.

I took her for both govt 2301 & 2302. She doesn't relate to the book, so don't bother. Just go to class take notes so you can use them on the test. If you attend and take notes, you will get a good grade.

Ok first of all...any student who wants to read the text books and do only whatever the book says..shouldn't take this class... anyone who want to know about how the practical govt works..i recomend this class... She's an awsome, laidback teacher...., If you take anyone else..your out of your mind!!!

shes very laid back (sometimes too laid back). if you have a problem she'll help you. Exam questions come from the back of the book and all the exams (even the final) is open notes. her lectures aren't that long but can be kind of dull(but how interesting can american/texas govt be?)

Prof. Sutter is an awesome professor. I do admit this fall sememster she dealt with a lot of personal issues, this is understandable. However, book has been updated so the study guide was a little hard to follow after you started taking the test it wouldn't be what you have read. For the most part 4 test, that is it. perfect for working students.

She was okay her test were if you took good notes. She always gave you what you needed to study it's a lot but keep your book handy so you can look up the terms. I would recommend.

Professor Sutter is a great teacher, she obviously loves her subject and it shows. Her tests though open book were challenging, you earn your grade in this class. If you are seeking a passionate instructor, who will open your mind to government please take this class. Whinny babies still in diapers need not apply. This is a mature persons class.

Wow this teacher is the bomb in the online class. She's so easy. Four exams and 1 term paper. drops lowest out of 5 grades so avg is out of 4 grades. gives very comprehensive notes for the tests. only used textbook for the terms she didn't define. max hours of studying per week is 5. even if you don't study you're sure to make a passing grade

Took online class, very easy i hate govt. but her tests come straight from her reviews and are open notes as well as the final! non- comprehensive final. Drops lowest test grade and 1 research paper due but very easy i wrote it in one day and made an A on it

She's a fairly easy teacher. Most of the material she presents are either from the textbook or already posted online on her reviews, so you don't really have to show up for class. Even though she made the class seems easy, but the material in her tests are very challenging and they require you to actually know your stuffs. Good teacher!

Class lecture covered very little of test content, however teacher was very helpful in finding necessary information for test. Gave reviews for all 4 exam and dropped the lowest exam grade. Once when I was working in the middle of the night and something went wrong the teacher responded to my request at 4:00AM.

Prof Sutter was EASY!I took her Sp 2012 online and I made a B only because I failed one test. That was due to lack of studying. She practically gives you the test but, you have to read and do the review. Her class wasn't too time consuming for me I work ft and I still passed. It truly depends on you!

I took her online class and I'm glad I did. Very easy, just follow her instructions.

I took this class online she is not that easy, you must read every page of the book for some answers, her reviews for the chapters were okay, the other reivew was okay, honestly though I thought she was going to be easier. I got a B and I worked at it. But her reviews are over 20 pages. Do not take her! She is a waste of money.

Her reviews are long and time consuming. But if you do them and actually study them you will do really good in her class. Overall I would say she was pretty entertaining in her lectures and a good teacher

If you are self motivated, you read the chapters and answer the study questions she gives, you will make an A. She allows ample time (too much in my opinion) for tests. Sometimes 3 hours for only 50 questions. All tests are open notes and open book.

With this teacher there's a lot of reading. Take good notes on the chapters in the book and type up the review on your computer so you can quickly search (ctrl+f) through it during exams. This is the reason I got a good grade in her class. She's also really communicative and will respond pretty quickly.

The class was very easy. 4 tests, lowest grade dropped...including the final so I did not have to take the final at all. However, she needs to stop with her blatant political bias. She needs to teach government, not her ideology.

Don't take this professor! Makes an easy class so difficult! she gives us review sheets before an exam, but there is a lot of reading to do! 4 exams total and a writing assignment. She drops the lowest grade. Exams are long and hard (about 100 questions), and she gives us about 3 hours to finish them. No retakes. cant even review exams after done.

Easy A! There is no homework, only tests, and the tests are open note and internet. She does give HUGE packets to prepare for the tests but I honestly haven't even used them; I just use the internet to find the answers. She is a pretty straight-forward teacher.

Somewhat easy. 4 exams and 1 essay (she drops the lowest). No FE. She provides test reviews and gives alot of time for you to take the exams. 1st & 3rd exams were 100Qs and 2nd & 4th were 50Qs. I took her for both GOVT 2305 & 2306 no quizzes or papers all tests are online drop lowest test grade. Her tests are long but she gives a 3 hour window to complete. Read on your own she doesn't do much teaching in class more on current events. Her test reviews are long but read the book and use the internet when doing tests. Easy A.

Very friendly, there for help, and sweet nature. 4 assignments and 1 research paper work hard on test and make sure you read her notes she is amazing

Professor Sutter is an incredibly helpful professor, who's always willing to answer any questions. She drops the lowest test grade and practically everything is online. She assigns outlines that can be used during tests so having the book to complete them is ideal but you can also just find information to complete them online (mostly definitions)

4 tests and 1 essay which was easy. As long as you read the chapters and complete the notes she hands out youll pass the class. She gives plenty of time to take the tests. Be careful though and read each question thoroughly. sometimes you'll think you've seen the same question twice or thrice but its slightly altered so answers may be different

I highly recommend this professor. She gives very helpful reviews and outlines to supplement the textbook. Exams are long (100 questions) but she gives plenty of time and they are straight from the material so if you read the textbook, filled in the notes and studied them, you will be completely fine.

This class will be easy if you prepare ahead of time for test. Download her materials, type up your own notes and have them ready for (4) online test. She gives 3-5 hours for each test 50 to 100 questions, that will be easy IF YOU PREPARED. You will not find answers online. She drops lowest test score. Paper is easy min 600 word. Highly recommend!

This is one of the easiest online courses I have ever had. I did the 5wk Summer session. 4 quizzes, 1 essay, and the lowest score is dropped. There are tight deadlines and only was given 3 days to write the essay but could be worse

Took her GOVT 2306 5 wk online summer class. 4 Test, one each week and you get 3-4 hours to do 50-100 questions. I used the lecture notes and only referred to the book if the notes didn't have the info. One writing assignment 1000 word min only gave us 4 days to write but she made it quite easy to complete. Drops lowest test grade! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I took her online course & overall it went very well, not difficult at all. 4 exams online, and she allows 2 attempts and will keep the higher score from each exam. Drops the lowest exam grade. no homework, no extra credit. The paper was only 1000 words on an article that was sent to us & a little about our political view. I HIGHLY recommend her!!

Great online class!! I took it during a summer mini sesh. She is amazing!! Very reasonable ! Read and study and you will pass!!!! Very reading heavy!! But its all manageable if you take school seriously, which everyone should! Its a gift!

I would definitely take this class again. This class is an easy A but you really have to work for it. There are 4 online open note test and one final paper which she gave us notice about 15 days in advance. Every test question can be found somewhere in the notes/book and as long as you do the work you should make a solid A.

Took it online, easy A if you fill out the notes. Only 4 unit exams with open notes and multiple attempts allowed and one writing assignment. Only downside to the exams is there's no way to know what you got wrong unless you asked after the fact. A lot of things had to be found online so idk if the book is mandatory

Before you finish reading the rest of these ratemyprofessor reviews, I suggest you add her class right now because I guarantee you that the last seat is about to be taken. Majority of people find GOVT class to be a drag & heavy, but this prof will prove the opposite. She's vibrant and brings a whole new light to GOVT. All exams open-note!

I took her class RT online and consisted of 4 tests and 1 mandatory essay of 1000 words. She dropped the lowest grade of the 4 tests. Her unit study guides are helpful. You can basically find all the answers to the tests on there. Allows various attempts to take the tests. Easy A, cant say it was effortless bc come on, college requires effort.

Easy A if you read the assigned text and complete the two written assignments on time. There are four unit exams, the lowest score of which is dropped. There is an introductory essay and an essay due toward the end of the semester on a current government/political issue/event. That's is.

Great Teacher

I took this class in Spring 2019. Although this class was a hybrid class after a few weeks it turned up to an online class. Everything including exams was online. If you want to have an Easy A/B definitely take this class. I would recommend to everyone.

This online class is straight forward, there are four tests and whichever you score the lowest on, gets dropped and one mandatory research paper. If you prepare by using the lecture notes, you will do fine.

4 exams and 1 essay. Each test she gives a study guide that is from her lecture notes and with a bit of googling, you can use it for the test. She also gives you 3 attempts to do each test and drops the lowest test at the end. Really easy class if you fill in the study guide ahead of time

Great teacher, you can tell she cares about the well being of her students. There's no homework per se, just quizzes that are like 50 questions. We had two essays in the entire class. It was an online anytime class, so you would watch the pre-recorded lectures. Highly recommend, I would take her again.

There are 4 tests and 1 writing assignment. No midterm or final. Her class was fairly easy without reading the textbook or looking over the many resources she posted. If you take her, make sure to do all your work. Not doing one thing affects you bad.I didn't turn in the writing assignment in time and nearly failed. No late work at all is accepted.

I took her while the pandemic was still horrid during the fall of 2020, and I am glad I did. She had 4 tests (drops 1 of the lowest), 2 essays (1 for participation that was easy, and 1 that was the term project but was graded leniently). Allowed a total of 3 attempts for the tests. Almost impossible to fail, take the class!

Super nice. Haven't talked with her 1 on 1 but through her announcements, she's very understanding. Forgiving for things other professors I've had wouldn't budge at all on. Follow syllabus & read her reviews and you'll do fine. 3 exams & an easy essay for final. She's not an English patrol-type professor either so she grades fair.

I took an online anytime 5 week summer Gov 2306 class with professor Sutter and it was the easiest class Ive ever taken. 5 or so non proctored exams with 50-100 questions each and one 1200 essay. Each exam had 3 attempts with 3 or 4 hours to take them. You dont even need to read the textbook or watch her videos; Google will be your best friend.

Do not get behind on the reading. I enjoyed her class, and she cared. When I was having issues she always was patient (especially because of online covid classes) and did her best to help.

One thing I loved about Professor Sutter is her kindness, she always understood when we were going through a rough time in our life and ways very lenient. The exams were easy as she would provide notes and also the free textbook, just make sure you read and you should be good!

Her class was probably one of the easiest courses I have taken in my college career. There were 4 exams. All open book, open note. And had 3 attempts. Most of the questions answers can be found in her notes. Textbook is also free, but I found it hard to navigate, so I used her provided notes. She is very caring and wants everyone to succeed.

Great class if you want to self-pace. Four exams throughout the semester (lowest grade of these four is dropped) and one writing assigment. That's it, other than preparing for the exams, which just involves reading the textbook. The exams are open book and open note. Absolutely recommend if you're looking for a less rigorous class.

Proffesor Sutter is an excellent patient and caring professor. Ive had her for 2 classes and its like a breath of fresh air to have something so easy. She does cancel class quite often but I don't think thats a downside.

Class is made up of 4 tests and one essay (discussion), no other assignments. Every test has about 3 retakes and gives you a lot of time, highly recommend this professor if you want to learn at your own pace.

If you spend a lot of time reading and taking notes you will get a high score like 90. 100 questions for 1 test and 4 tasks, you can find answers from Quizlet and other places but only 10-20%, the remaining 80% is in course hero. 4 tests and 1 long discussion (it's like short essay with 600 words)

Professor Ramsey-Sutter is amazing! If you spend time reading and taking notes, you will get a high score. 4 tests where you can find answers from studying the review sheets and other great resources she provides for each unit. Also, check out her YT channel for great notes. 1 short essay (600 word) in the end. Highly, highly recommend taking her!

This class was the least demanding out of the courses that I had taken in the spring, with that being said you have to read a lot in order to cover the questions on the exams. The time frame given on the exams was great (3 hours), with 3 attempts to cap your final score, and there was no LDB. Overall, if I had to I would take this class again.

Honestly, she was super organized, made us buy the wrong book(70$ worth) and had to ask for a refund and she canceled class very often. However, I didn't care about government because I focused on my calc class, therefore I didn't mind. My advice to you is that if you rely on this class for your major then take another professor.

His class is intense in lecture but must be a great test taker and note taker, over all i loved the class!

I would take again just know the only grades are 3 tests and 1 discussion grade. Tbh didn't really take notes or anything and still passed. Its open note/book/everything so theres no reason you shouldn't pass the class.

Took her online class. The class only had like 5 tests including the final. I think we did discussions too but they were fairly easy. She's pretty funny. God bless her heart. Just take her if you want an easy class.

She was great, friendly and responsive! There is a textbook and she gives a link to access it online for free. There are no prerecorded lessons or PowerPoints but she provides handouts and clear instructions. It is reading intensive. Tests are open notes, book, internet. 4 Tests & an intensive discussion post. Final is not cumulative.

Only 3 exams and 1 discussion so this class is easy. The only reason I got a C was because I turned in the discussion late and got a 0 (turned my A to a C real quick so make sure to turn everything ON TIME). I took her for 2306 and got a B (I was one point from an A lol). Would highly recommend to get it out of the way.

Easiest class ever. Had this class in Fall 2022 and it was super easy and I was able to manage my time well. I had 4 exams, and a mini essay (about 3 paragraphs) and that was all my assignments. Dr. Sutter also opened the exams again at the end of the semester for a retake. I HIGHLY recommend taking her.

The test are all online and there is no essays or discussions !! you have 3 hours to take the test and its 50 questions, but trust me its super easy she even lets you use online sources. 100 percent recommend !!

I took this professor for Government. The class is primarily test-based, so it is essential to study the notes and lectures thoroughly. No lockdown browser or proctoring, which makes testing less stressful. Everything is clearly explained, and grading is fast. Straightforward and fair. I'd take this class again.

Took this class over the summer, so we had an exam everyweek. Also had one discussion. Most materials are taught through the textbook and lecture notes. An exam review sheet is provided. Doesn't provide feedback for the discussion though. Overall, class was pretty simple. Read the notes/textbook and take the exam. Really recommend this class.

GREAT PROFESSOR. 10/10. Her course was very easy if you like something very simple. You are mostly graded on tests and one discussion. Very few assignments. She is a late grader but overall I would highly recommend.
