He is a great Professor because his lecture is always clear to understand as well as he is always taking care of students. His quiz was kind of difficult but it is very useful for the exam. I am so happy to have him at NJIT. I will take his Cal II next semester. Amazing Prof. ever. I will pass this course great grade. I like it.

Great professor, goes out of his way to help you pass the course. Wants you to understand the material. Like the other comment said he does give a lot of quizzes, however, these quizzes do help you for common exams. Many of the questions on these quizes are taken from prevous exam years. Highly reccomended if you want to have fun and learn as well.

I am taking 19 credits this semester and I have almost gave up this course but Ro helped me out to focus on the main subject of Cal II. Calculus 2 is really hard but Ro made it easy to learn and understand.

Prof. Ro explained the concepts of linear algebra really well and the ways of his explanation are funny. I liked to attend his class because lectures was great and felt so comfortable in class. However (not sure if because of covid and NJIT's different math grade percenteges for exam and quiz) he grades extremly heavy on quizes. After having a few terrible Math teachers, Ro was a breath of fresh air. While his class was hard, he always too the time to explain everything and was always open to questions. Professor Ro's class is great, quizzes are a great way to review things you learn in the past week and give out plenty of extra credit opportunities, he makes sure to give out and thoroughly review all past material when exams come up. It really helped me to go over problems I was having trouble with.

He said that if we weren't going to try for an A, we should drop the course. This is a hard class with lots of content. He explains the content well, but he is strict. He can be funny. It's a lot of homework. He gives a weekly quiz. He has a clear Korean accent, and his English is fragmented. However, his speech is not hard to understand.

Ro is the best math professor I have ever had. No other teacher has ever taught me math as well as Ro, and although the course is fairly difficult, if you study hard and pay attention in class you should be able to "Pass with a great grade!" Known to have "repeat after me" when trying to get students to memorize concepts, this professors teaching tactics have helped me understand what I'm learning well. The BEST math professor at NJIT to be honest. He had lots of office hours and genuinely cares about his students. Every class starts with positive affirmations and he is genuinely the sweetest person. The course is extremely difficult, so trust me and take it with someone nice like Ro!

Do all of his extra credits, period. I withdrew calc 2 last sem. and retook it with him. He might be the reason I was able to pass calc II (with a GREAT GRADE)! Take his class.

I would take a bullet for this man. He does a great job teaching and reviewing content. He keeps classes at a manageable pace. Weekly quizzes. Plenty of extra credit to recover from poor performance.

For Math 309. He's such a funny professor who explains all the complicated calculus topics in simple terms. He also makes you remember the concepts with his memorable acts. His funny nature also makes night classes a breeze to go through. Would 100% recommend anyone to take him for a Math Course.

Prof Ro makes Calc 2 surprisingly engaging with his charismatic teaching style. He cares deeply about student success and offers plenty of extra credit. Combine his instruction with unstuckstudy and you'll be set up for a great grade.

Professor Ro is honestly one of the most caring professors ive had at NJIT. He keeps lectures engaging and makes really funny jokes throughout class. I'm awful at math but he was a great teacher and made class enjoyable. Even if you're awful at calculus, take Ro he will make you understand and you will have fun doing so. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT ON QUIZ

you remember in hs when your teachers actually cared about you and your success -- yeah Ro is one of those rare NJIT profs like that. his quizzes are no joke but they 100% prepare you for the exams. the class itself is hard but go to every office hours and class and you can defff get an A!best professor at NJIT i was actually sad to leave his class

Very nice and funny. Seems tough at the start but is a really great teacher and mentor.

Easily one of the best prof at NJIT with super engaging lectures and has great explanations on already hard enough topics. He can sometimes target you if your not paying attention but he truly just wants you to participate and learn. He also gives extra credit on quizzes which are amazing practice for the tests. If you put in the work you'll pass.

gives a lot of practice problems through quizzes and old common exams, but makes it extra credit so you get a big grade boost towards your average. as long as you pay attention and do all his practice problems he assigns, you are guaranteed a good grade for this class that is known to weed out NJIT students

This man is the GOAT. He teaches one of the more difficult classes here and explains concepts thoroughly so anyone can understand it. He teaches at a nice pace compared to the other professors. His quizzes are hard as they're ripped from the exams but he gives plenty of extra credit to recover. He's a great guy and I highly recommend.

Only needed class for a program req; professor let me leave after every quiz without the need to attend classes since I already took it in HS. Other than that, great professor that loves teaching and does a great job conveying the material.

i love him so much i actually look forward going to class. not to mention his sections have the highest average out of everyone please take him if u ever have the chance!! the quizzes are very hard though but they prepare you very well

I could not rate him higher,I took calc 2 with ro and I would happily take it again. Although the course is notoriously hard, Ro made it simple and straight forward. He has a quiz every week on the material learned from the previous week, and although I didnt like it at first, it becomes handy as it allows for you to remember and maintain knowledge

Probably the best teacher I've had. The weekly quizzes were hard, but very fair. He gives a very short amount of time on quizzes, which I really disliked at first. However, in adjusting to this fast pace the exams felt way easier than the quizzes, as we had way more time per question on the exam than on the quizzes. He made calc 2 easy.

Everything everyone says is true, and then some. Withdrew from Calc 2 last semester with almost no chance to pass. Coming into this semester, I just wanted to pass. Going into the final, I'm positive I will get an A. It's really incredible how having a good professor can change your entire view on the class. I will remember this class for life.

Professor Ro is amazing. I am 100% sure that I ended with an A and so did my friends in his class. He teaches in a way that anyone can understand and really tests you on your knowledge with his weekly quizzes. He is harsh on them but it is for your own good so the exams seem easy. He provides a lot of extra credit as well. 10/10 professor

The best professor ever. He keeps lecture fun and interesting and cares more that students understand what he is teaching rather than us just copying the bored. Office hours are very helpful. But listen to his advice and study every day because it is a hard course. He helps as much as he can to help his students succeed.

An absolute legend. Even if the timing isn't ideal, make sure you take him. I wore a thobe (Arab dress for men) to class once and he made me model in front of the class!

I am completely braindead in regards to math and was able to get a B+ thanks to Ro. Obviously, I myself worked super hard the semester I took this course, but Professor Ro was much of the inspiration for me to continue studying. Just amazing!

He is the chosen one when it comes to Calculus II. No matter your proficiency in math, Ro will make your time in Calc 2 easier, memorable, and hilarious. He uses a lot of mnemonic devices to help you remember concepts. He makes difficult concepts as easy as possible to understand. I love this professor.

Do yourself a favor and take him.

Best professor to teach Calc 2. Calc 2 is very hard, but he taught it very well and was understandable. You have to study at least 4 hours a day to get an A just like he recommended. Once he teaches the lecture you should go home and redo all the problems and practice the problems from past commons. Trust me if you do that, you'll get an A.
