Excellent teacher. Makes learning fun, build students self esteem, makes sure you know your stuff! Its important to her that students succeed. Wonderful!!!
A great teacher who really cares that you learn. Makes the class interesting and makes herself available to students who need help.
Very personable, tries to make learning fun with demonstrations and games to remember key tearms. All and all a great teacher! A joy to be with in class. I had a great time and learned a lot. Thank you Ms. Adams!
She was cool!! She always had an answer for my questions : ) Very good teacher, I recommend her, definetly : )
dont care for the lecture'n style
Her tests are extremely difficult, ques. that are not on the study guides.
This was a fun class and I actually retained some knowledge.
Her accent sucks.
A great experience. She knows the material well, but also understands that you are learning. Tries to give tips and hints to help you learn. Very approachable and helpful.
she really isn't bad. i think she is really sweet. and I think her tests are pretty easy

she's nice, her tests are relatively easy, and she's fun to listen to...she kinda sounds like harry karry from SNL. I like to watch her facial expressions too she looks like she has to take a crap whenever she asks a questions she's just about to tell us the answer to. I also like that she walks like she doesn't have knees.......Overall I think she's a good teacher and she's humorous to watch. I expect to get an A in her class.
she is very good at what she does and very nice
Class is fairly easy if you go to class and pay attention. She is very nice. Not the greatest teaching style, but gets the point across.
Very good teacher! Explains everything clearly and makes sure you understand. She's a very nice person and veeery understanding! Class is tough. Studying 75475747 hours is a must! Also doing the Objectives in the beg. of the chapter helps a lot on tests! STUDY STUDY STUDY
she is hard. Definitely don't recommend taking her class
Beware of her accent. The tests are tough.
Ms. Adams was class was not hard if you did the work.
great!
you can pass her class but it takes some effort. she teaches with death by powerpoint. it takes awhile to get use to and she'll probably drive you crazy but shes not the hardest teacher in the world.
I had her as a telecourse instructor and thought she was very good. She had very well-structured reviews for both the midterm and final and made the material easy to understand. The exams weren't too difficult if you study the studyguide that accompanies the textbook. As long as you do all of the work and study the studyguide, you'll get an A.
She was pretty hard. Her lectures were borning, but the notes where helpful. I swear the tests got progressivly harder. Her speech pattern is a littl unusual, but you get used to it. I wouldn't take her again, but if your stuck with her she's not to bad. If you try and make the effort to go, she will go out of her way to help you.
Shes an ok teacher but she talks to you like ur kindergarteners.. i still haven't gotten used ot her speach patters. Her whole class is powerpoints.. every day... powerpoints. but she gives you test review questions to do and goes over them before the test which is helpful. If you try you'll get an A. All you really have to do is the reviews.
Awesome teacher... Had her for a year and I learned so much valuable information to continue my career goals..I recommend taking her over anyone else..
ANNOYING!!! I can not stand her voice. I dropped her class after the first day b/c she was so annoying, she gave me a headache.
Print out all of the power points and study them. All of the tests are taken right from them. She can be boring, but she does know the material. You can't go wrong with that.
Ok teacher, grade is based off of 5 exams and 10 or so quizs. Tells you date for the exams but not the dates for the quizes. Country accent she slows down her words when she talks, cant pronounce the terms correctly. Answers any questions, shows slides for her lecture. Print the slides; study them and the book and you'll be fine.
HARD HARD teacher! I had her for A&P and she would stick a bone in a box and have you stick your hand in the box and then you had to tell her what kind of bone it was and all the points on it. I re-took the class with another instructor after getting a D and passed with an A+ with the other teacher. I have know many people who have failed her class
Recommended.
I liked her, but she is a bit boring. The class was easy enough, but there was too much busy work! Looking up definitions and writing them down as an assignment is for elementary school.
This is a VERY hard teacher! Be prepared
This is one of the hardest classes I have ever taken. You have to STUDY, STUDY, STUDY. Pay attention to what is said in the lectures, but it is kinda hard to with the way Mrs. Adams talks.
It's hard material..therefore she teaches hard things! I loved her class though. She did anything she could for you if you showed effort and talked to her if you needed help. She was a good teacher and i'll miss her.
Proffesor Adams gives the greatest lab lectures ever. Extremely helpfull and approachable her knowledge of the material is OUTSTANDING. I couldnt wait to attend lab once a week. Material is hard but so is the career choice that lead you there be prepared to study you tookus off and memorize, memorize, meorize. Proffessor Adams will help.
It's a difficult subject for me, but she is a good teacher.
I am taking her for a&p summer class. It is fast pase due to it being a summer course. She is always willing to help and accomadate students. You can tell she likes teaching, which is nice to see. This isnt an easy A class.
usually im not to the point but i will by saying DONT TAKE HER! I was a straight A student till i took her class. In my class 60% of the students dropped out of the 40% that remained the class average was a 51%. I took her in the summer maybe she's easier during the fall or spring but I HIGHLY recommend someone else! *no extra credit *no curves
I hated this teacher so much. I took her for marine biology because i loved that class in high school and got an A. When I took her class I wanted to drop out after the first test. You have about 5 exams and a couple assignments and reviews. The reviews for the test have NOTHING to do with the test and you end up studying the wrong things DONOTTAKE
The Class Was Exactly What I expected. Don't Just Rely On The Test Reviews, You'll Need To Attend Class To Get An A Or B. No Other Homework, class Assignments Are easy. She Will Help You If You Need It.
I took her for both A&P l and A&P ll with the labs and received an A in each. Definitely attend the class, read the material and use the online resource tools. She's helpful and nice but not easy. I liked the classes being difficult, I feel those of us that made it through learned a lot.
I hated this teacher but i will admit that she does know what she is talking about. its an easy class if you attend and study very very hard the only bad thing about her is just the way she talks its annoying and puts you to sleep at the same time.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! She does not explain a single thing and acts like we should know everything that she is talking about already. She talks off a slideshow everyday and all you do is take notes. Almost fell asleep everyday. Unclear of whats going to be on the test and got a D on almost every one. TAKE MY ADVICE.
Extremely hard/boring. Lectures, and nothing else. Normal boring academic science teacher. Start studying a month before a test or you will fail.
A&P is a hard class in general but Prof Adams was a good lab teacher. She didnt take points off for spelling, which most professors do, so that helped a lot. And if you needed help, she was pretty good about that. She did give around 7 pop quizes after lecture but they werent that difficult. She doesnt take attendence nor give homework.
Very hard class. Very friendly helpful professor. You will have to study your butt off to get a good grade. Took both lab and lecture with this professor and learned alot. Lecture has multiple choice exams(4-5), lab has 50 question exams that you answer as you move around stations(3-4).
You must attend class due to many graded class assignments. Her class is not easy, but if you attend and pay attention you will do fine. Pr. Adams is very helpful and understanding. I would definitely take another class with her.
I really enjoyed having P Adams as an instructor. A&P is not an easy class so dont expect it to be. She gives a great deal of help and support. Follow her power points, and take advantage of the study guids that she gives and you will do fine. she really prepares you for future classes....
Dry, monotone, boring
I always loved Marine Biology til I had this clas. Was a straight A student all throughout high school. After attending this class I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Lectures all class, not visual. Test and online assignments had nothing to do with notes taken in class. Overall not a very fun class to be in.
Professor Adams is AMAZING! You have to study for the tests. However, she gives her students study guides, helpful online assignments as well as test reviews in class. Overall she is knowledgable and very helpful!
This rating is for Anatomy and Phisiology I.
Hard working professor. Good at what she does! Study, study, study!
Professor Adams is wonderful!! You have to study to earn a good grade, and she was always willing to help! I took her for both, a&p I and a&p II.. Wish she was teaching the core nursing courses!!
Prof. Adams is a really good teacher. She is very thorough and nice. Pay attention in class; she writes her own test questions. She gives out study guides for lab tests; she posts(online)"Questions that you should think about" for theory tests. If you're too lazy to study, you'll fail. Good luck!
Not a bad class really. The only problem I have is that some of the test questions are unclear/misleading.
Took her for A and P 2 lecture and lab. She always uses power points that are confusing to understand and the mastering homework really isn't 10 percent of your grade. I studied hours on end for this class and still failed. She doesn't offer make-up tests or extra credit either. If you can, take a different instructor. Unless you feel like failing.
Dry, not helpful, check your test scores some of the questions marked wrong are actually right, no extra credit and not much of a personality in her emails
Dry personality who has a hard time answering emails. Tests where often exercises in obscure references from the textbook purely for trivia versus the determination of knowledge gained. Find another instructor
It's my second science class in college and I would never expect my success in A&P class. Class itself is not easy at all. You will study a lot. But, she gives you EVERYTHING you need to know:all materials, videos, excellent lectures, amazing and consistent explanation, endless examples for your understanding. I am taking her for A&P 2! LOVED IT
Just don't do it
Her class isn't very insightful. She lectures for most of the class and isn't very clear on what she puts on the exams, not to mention the exams are 80% of your grade. If you study you might do well, however be advised she throws more trick questions on tests than any professor i've ever had. No extra credit opportunities.
Not helpful. Lecture every class. No extra credit. 4 test total and A&P Lab online. Asked professor Adams her opinion on if I should drop the class because I can't afford to fail. She reassured me (twice) not to drop the class, because she "may do something to help our grades". That never happened and ended up with a D.
Her lecture class is very difficult, half the class withdrew. 90% of her grade is exams and all she does is PowerPoint and also throws in trick questions that weren't even on the PowerPoint for the test. I would recommend her lab class because she doesn't count spelling and other teachers I know do. She's a nice person but she is a horrible teacher
She gives you a study guide and stresses on using it (which is nice). The problem is, nothing on the study guide is in her exams. Most questions are very obscure. She'll put questions that she never really stressed on or really got into much detail in her lectures on the exams.
Great teacher and I really enjoyed the course!
She is an amazing professor! Her class is a hard class so just know you'll have to study... A TON! Don't take the material being hard to learn out on her. You really get what you earn in her class. No curving tests besides maybe a couple points here and there. Study her power points that she has on canvas and you'll be good.
Hardest class I've taken. Studied so much off power points and review sheet. Nothing was on the test! Dry personality. Was excited for feild trip but it was cancelled. The class was very boring.
Hardest class I've taken. Studied so much off power points and review sheet. Nothing was on the test! Dry personality. Was excited for feild trip but it was cancelled. The class was very boring!
Proff. Adams gave amazing lectures for her Anatomy 1 and 2 courses. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to take the class. Beware though, that it is a tough course and if you're lazy and choose to not study, you simply will NOT pass.
Every day was an absolute pounding of information. Get ready to have a few mental breakdowns. I withdrew from her class after a month. Absolutely could not handle it. She is a solid teacher but the amount of information was insane. Coupled with the A&P Lab, which is a required co-requisite to A&P, I almost lost my mind. I am a 4.0 student.
I enjoyed Mrs Adams, it was easy to learn and understand the concepts. All I had to do is study what she told us would be on the exam and I got all As
Adams is a great professor! She cares about your education and wants you to understand the material. She's there if you need help. The lab tests are all fill in the blank and her lecture tests are pretty tough. Study and don't wait 2 days before the test to start.
I had her for Marine Biology in person and failed, it was a terrible class. For online Biology, It was good and I am not the best at science. For the most part it is easy just there is a lot of work! I finished my other 2 classes a month early but not this one.
She spends a lot of time just reading from a powerpoint and picks and chooses what to talk about. The things that are not on the exam she spends excessive amounts of time covering and covers very little on what is actually tested. Would not take again! Be prepared to basically teach yourself the material :(
I would not recommend this professor. She does not seem like she really cares about her students and is not willing to make any efforts to help them.
For A&P 1 & 2: If you come to her class, take notes while following along with power points & read the textbook you will do well on her multiple choice lecture exams and fill in the blank lab exams. Lots of material so do not wait to the last minute to study. Professor Adams will definitely work with you when needed. Would take her classes again!
Took her for AP 1 and 2. You will have to work to get an A in this class. I learned a lot! Long lectures. You don't necessarily need the textbook, she provides powerpoints for all modules.
If you like a teacher who gives you unnecessary work like a 6th grade science class, then this is one for you. You'll have to do quizzes, discussion posts, "activities" that include labs and papers, and exams covering multiple chapters of the required-to-read textbook. Don't take this class if you were expecting an easy summer class/ A.
Great professor. The material can be difficult to learn, especially in the lab. Study EVERYTHING!
Professor Adams is a great instructor. You can tell that she truly cares about her students and wants her students to pass. She does teach from her Power Points BUT everything she teaches is on her exams. I look forward to taking her for A&P2.
Professor Adams class in lecture and lab are super easy if you put the time in if you do all the assignments and readings, you will pass this class with flying colors If you choose to skip class and what not you will fail or fall behind and get left behind
Best teacher to take for A&P hands down
This class looks so ridiculous since its supposed to be more fun and relaxed. We have 6 exams, 17 quizzes, 9 critical thinking discussions, 16 my lab activities, there's also a lot of reading to be done and research as well. She also doesn't seem to help her students out in any way. It's not worth taking her class.
I wouldnt recommend this proffessor. She is nice both in email and in person but doesn't explain things very well at all. Also she will give you outlines and they are terible. I had to use outlines in class and write my own notes at home so I could understand it. You have to teach yourself and for grades you only on 5 big tests along with mastering
Don't take her. She doesn't know how to teach, and almost turned me away from my career choice. She's condescending and mean.
I clicked lots of homework but pretty much you watch the videos read the section and take the quizzes and tests. there are a few discussions which was kind of annoying because i finished the class early and a lot of the other students waited til the last minute to complete the discussion and made it difficult to do the response portion.
Not too bad, I thought it would be harder in the beginning, ended up getting an 87 for a final grade. About 6 exams, quizzes after each lesson and like 5 discussions total. All the answers are online.
I thought her lectures were pretty good, but she can be very strict/ stubborn and doesn't give much wiggle room. She is a tough grader. She also assigns a good amount of homework but most of it can be done quickly.
Very nice Professor. The class was a zoom course and she was very helpful and was willing to have personal meetings when the students ran into problems. Very sweet but can be strict. Have to do a lot of reading and studying notes for lecture and lab, proctored exams. Was pretty interactive and engaging during lectures. Really knows the material.
Professor Adams would give us a focused review for an exam, but everything on that focused review would not be on the exam. Very frustrating, failed this class with a D and took it from another college and passed with a A.
