He was a beyond awesome professor! Honestly he was the professor that made the college experience better. As long as your engaged and pay attention you will be perfectly fine! He is hilarious and loves students feedback! He teaches in different ways like showing videos of jimmy fallon playing games and group activities ASK FOR HIM! HES AWESOME!

The professor is quite engaging and enlightening. Participation and attendance are required, but don't fear the word "required," I believe that like many students, you will want to participate and enjoy attending class. You will read, and you will take something out of class.

I wasn't so good in government, but his the way he taught his lessons and got us engaged in group activities helped me learn a lot better. He is the best professor I have taken for government and I highly recommend him. He is very understandable and helps out in any way possible.

If you have to take any government class, TAKE HIM!!! He's an amazing professor, and very straight forward. You will actually want to go to class. He's pretty lenient. If you do your work, you should have no problem with your grades. Classes actually get pretty intense!

I was lucky taking this class because I didn't research any of my professors first. But Prof. Crissien is an awesome professor and isn't overwhelming with assignments. I would take his class agai. and recommend him if you take government.

The professor is really cool and his classes were pretty amazing. you can easily get an A in his class just make sure to read. Readings are not much. Classes are fun too. I mean jokes here and there are quite often.

Dr. Crissien is a great professor. He makes lecture very relevant and enjoyable. He is very clear with directives and his assignments are not a burden. You actually learn a lot in his lectures, I recommend taking him.

Profesor Crissien is a great professor. At the beginning seems like is really hard, but it is not if you put effort on it.

He is a great teacher. Had him for American Government. I learned a lot from him. He is an understanging professor but if you want to skip yeahhhh make sure your have a doctures note. He ralates to his classes.

I took GOVT 2305 online summer session 2 and it was a lot of assignments. We had to do two assignments three time a week and one exam a week. He is also a tough grader and be prepared to read .Overall the class was pretty interesting. Hes really good with reminders and posting announcements.

EASIEST CLASS EVER. It was an online class and there was homework and quizzes every other day and they were only five questions each. The homework activities were very engaging and interesting. I learned lot and enjoyed the class. The tests were straight out of the book and he gives you a guide to fill and if you fill it you will for sure get an A.

Dr. Crissien does a fantastic job of teaching the material in a way that makes his students think and learn well, while creating an open classroom atmosphere that allows all students to speak with confidence and feel included and validated. He goes the extra mile to help and teach his students on an individual level. I learned so much in his class.

You will NEED the textbook, without it you won't be able to do most of the assignments/understand the work. He is very considerate if there's an emergency. Try not to miss any days, he will count it against your grade. Super easy if you just PAY ATTENTION. Over all the class is easy if you just follow the syllabus.

I learned so much in this course! The course was kept interesting and current through assignments. Prof. Crissien provides a reading guide which targets the key areas of the chapter and helps tremendously with the reading quiz. There is a alot of work especially during a Wintermester(assignments daily M-F) with a 24 hr window to complete, worth it!

I took this class over wintermester, only 3 weeks! That being said, there was a lot of work but fairly easy. Quizzes and tests are straight from the book pretty much!!! You will not pass without the book. He is very responsive. Do EVERY assignment! Easy short term class!

It took me until the last semester of my time at Mountain View to find my favorite professor, and it's this guy. He makes himself very clear of what he expects from you so there is no confusion. He makes you work for it, but as long as you do the work, you will do well. Very understanding but no pushover.

took crissean for govt 2305 and 2306. He is very blunt about what he wants in the assignments and responds to emails quickly. He is a tough grader, but if you put in the work there shouldn't be a problem. text book- yes! 3 exams. 12 quizzes. 3 critical thinking assign. +extra credit. great professor and not bad to look at

There's other work too & he can be quite a tough grader if you slack off in your responses. Otherwise, effort grade. Responsive, will work with you.

i never really liked government and this class made it interesting to me, if you do the study guides you should be fine and you should be able to get at least a C in this class by reading and answering the guides. test are open notes, you can retake quizzes, and earn points during class.

One of the best experiences in my college life thus far. This professor is outstanding and if you do the work and put in the effort, youll be in good shape. He truly is a teacher that I recommend for everyone to take.

I just loved watching him talk ever class period. This guy is down to earth and lays he law on day 1. Do the reading, section quizzes, discovering politics assignments and you wil be just fine! His class is no hard AT ALL. Take good notes during lecture you will need them for the test. I wish he taught all my courses. Keep up the good work Doc!

Lots of quizzes (at least one per week), he makes/ uses his power points and there is a lot of points for participation. Very nice professor and great personality. As long as you fill out the guides and watch the videos the class is pretty easy.

He's a very understanding professor. He grades clearly and gives great feedback. He also emails frequently to remind students of upcoming papers and gives more information and how to successfully pass his class. He allows for easy extra credit often too. 10/10 would take again, he will be having a large class in spring for the upcoming class.

Took the class over Wintermester, very well structured class makes it simple to learn in a quick amount of time. He gives you daily reminders to keep you on task and gave great feedback. Read the chapter, fill out the guides, watch the videos, this class is easy to pass. Max, 1-2 hours a day.

Doctor Crissien was a very fun & charismatic teacher. He both gave good feedback & was willing to take it from students. He opened topics up to discussion, & managed to get the class just as passionate about government as he is. He gave lots of quizzes, but it's no problem if you read the chapters & do the study guides. I recommend him to anyone.

Honestly, This course is how I wish most courses were. One reading assignment per week. Professor Crissien is nice enough to photocopy the chapter for those that dont but the text book. Gives a Reading guide. I mean they practically give you the A if you just do your work. 10/10 would recommend.

He was honestly a good teacher. He did require reading and a 5 question quiz to take within 4 min. He also gave you question to answer during the readings to help with quizzes. If you do the reading and the question you should be fine!!

I took Professor Crissien for both GOVT 2305 and 2306, one in person and the other online. He is very good and clear on due dates. As long as you read the chapters thoroughly, fill out the guides, you should be fine. There are quizzes and finals throughout the course but you should make a good grade as long as the guides are filled out.

I took Professor Crissiens online Government class during the pandemic his class has been by far my favorite. Reading is mandatory, it is certain you will learn in his class. Dr. Crissien is humorous and his enthusiasm makes the class enjoyable. He replies to emails in a timely manner and is very clear and professional about his work.

Professor Crissien was an amazing Government teacher. He gives note pages that tell you what to take notes on so that you don't have to take notes on everything in the textbook, and his quizzes and tests are based on those note pages. If you take good notes and study them, you will pass the quizzes and tests.

I took Prof. Crissian online GOVT class & enjoyed it. He is very clear on due dates, does not allow makeup work. He provide note pages - if you take good notes from the textbook and the video clips he provides and study them, you should do well. His quizzes are timed so prepare, and tests were based what are in his notes.

I took professor Crissien for GOVT 2305 in the fall semester and GOVT 2306 in the winter term. Both semesters went great. His class is very easy and organized. He sends daily emails to remind us what assignments are due. To pass this class reviewing the guides are key!! If you take good notes then you will pass the tests.

This Professors amazing, funny and caring! On paper it seems like a hard class to take but Id take it again. You have to read but he has guides that make the reading easy and effective. His lectures are amazing and the class made me care for politics in a way I never did or thought I could. Test are based on reading and lectures but easy

She cares about her students and her class is incredibly easy if you follow along in the textbook. YOU HAVE TO WATCH THE VIDEOS or else you will fail the video quizzes. She also gives really good feedback on your essays!

Wonderful professor. Provides detailed guides on what to focus on when reading/watching provided videos. Quizzes are timed but easy if you read and fill out the guides. One written assignment halfway through with clear instructions; gave great feedback. Very organized. Class is at your own pace with set due dates every week. Comprehensive syllabus.

Okay, hear me out! if you are not into government and you think it's boring and that it has nothing to do with you. Just give Professor Jean a chance to change your mind. He is amazing! You will 100% learn in this class. He is very straightforward with his syllabus (and very funny). Read, study, and do the guides and you will succeed.

i hate government but professor jean was amazing the work is easy and the instructions were easy to follow along. Fill out the reading guides and everything will be alright. this prof was amazing, just make sure you actually fill out the reading guides for the quizzes, they're not due but they def help you remember the info that'll be on the quizzes. quizzes are mcq, but major assignments + exams are written. late assignments are half credit. easy grader, but make sure you do everything he asks for, and you're all set

just make sure you fully read all the articles/watch all the videos and fill out the guide. the only grades are 5-10Q but 2 attempt mcq quizzes, open book exams, and a writing assignment. grades fairly, just make sure you actually answer the question directly and explain.

For this class you will read a lot of articles and some are very long. That being said the only assignments are mainly Exams/Quizzes that you take once you are ready after you are done with the readings. This class also includes one major writing assignment, each test also uses lockdown browser, no tolerance for AI or cheating at all

You will have one major writing assignment that you will write on your own with no help from outside sources, 0 tolerance for AI, he will give you the sources you can use to write.
