oh my is she easy, you have an almost indefinate time to turn in work...she reads exactly from the tests for the review but you must go to class because she takes roll
This class is fun and easy. Whoo-hoo, digestive bingo!
Such an easy class....she takes attendance but there's ways to get out of class if you need to, she takes any excuse. Class activities are dumb and you get magnets as prizes. tests are basic ans easy if you go to her review the class before the test.
Attend class; it is fun and you really learn. I loved this class, learned a lot. A lot I knew, but some I didn't. I liked it and you will too.
She may scare you at first with her attendance policies and such, but she's all bark and no bite. Very nice lady if you talk to her. Take her class for an easy A!
She's great, and she will deffinantly help you out, even if it means scheduling your make up exams a few times due to illness or family issues.
GREAT TEACHER, GREAT CLASS!! Its 2 hours 45 mintues long, but its fun and interesting. we usually get out early. She does the test review WORD FOR WORD. a lot of extra fun assignments in class to boost your grade. YOU CANT FAIL, just memorize. Great lady.
Very easy class and laid back professor. She gives VERY good reviews for each test and lets you make up any missed classwork, not matter what. Easiest class I've ever taken at UCF! :)
Very nice & very easy!
Very nice lady. Class can get very long and very boring, but you should go. The reviews basically explain the entire test. She is a very caring lady, and very smart, but it isn't a "fun" class. You learn a lot of valuable information though.
The class is not hard but is also not as easy as everyone is saying. It is mostly just boring. I wake up in a puddle of my own drool at least 3 times a class.
Easy class, but I warn you..it is a BORE! She practically gives you the answers on the tests, so be sure to take notes the class before the test. Piece of advice: drink some serious caffine before class...
A little too easy, you won't want to go to class because you will feel like ur in second grade, but it is an easy A...that is if you go to class. The tests are easy but the class is sooooo boring, she talks soooooo slow!! Otherwise, very nice lady!
BORING!!!!!!
She's super sweet and nice. Her tests are simple. You don't have to go to every class, even though she never kept us the full 4 hours of class. If you do the class activities and the group project you'll get an A.
Nice old lady! Gives reviews for tests day before. Takes attendance. Does activities so its not all boring lectures. Tests are easy if u pay attention in class. Beware of test on vititamins and minerals...MEMORIZE WHAT SHE SAYS!
She is a nice lady, but the class is really boring. She gives good reviews before the exams. She uses class activities and films, so it is more than just lecture.
nice lady class is boring though. hardly ever lasts the entire time. there is a group project and in class activities. tests are pretty easy just listen in class, take notes when she reviews and know the vitamins and you'll do fine.
This class is very easy. Go the class before the test and she will give a review of everything on the test. It's really easy to get an A if you turn everything in on time and go to the review...and do the in class projects.
Very sweet lady! Her class can be a bit boring.... but what can you expect, it Nutrition! Although I got a B, the class is a very easy A. :-)
The class is very easy and boring! Unfortunately, you have to go she takes attendance every class. The class before every test she reviews and tells you everything on the test. She also gives very easy in class assignments and projects, and you receive full credit for them if you just do them.
I like the subject, but I don't like her as a teacher. He makes it boring....She might tell you some kinda review, but you actually need and know the entire book b/c she doen't give you lecture notes and she does not tell you what to focus on. if you are nursing major, suck it up! study no a easy A.
Fairly simple class; in-class assignments are easy, tests aren't hard, and the group project is not difficult either. She knows her stuff, but relies on videos and the silly assignments for class time. She rarely actually teaches anything herself.
She doen't give you lecture notes and she does not tell you what to focus on a test. her reviews don't help. you actually need to know the entire book to pass her tests which are w/ a lot of info.if you are nursing major, she is the only one who teaches it, so just STUDY a lot. NO a easy A.
SUPER EASY! Don't listen to other people - if you go to the review for the test, she tells you EXACTLY what is on it. Everyone gets a 100 on their presentation and the inclass assignments are a joke. Very easy A and a great GPA booster!
This class was great! Tests are kinda long and u do need to study for them but if u get mostly Bs in them and do ur project, u'll do great! Always show up because bonus nights help your grade.
Not an easy A. You will get an A on the presentation. She is mean and thinks she is always right. If she makes a mistake grading your work she still will not change the grade. She treats her students like they are in middle school. Class is super boring. Class was OK, but did not like her as a person or teacher at all.
She's not a hard teacher at all. The first test is the hardest, but you can get a C on it and still pull an A in the class. She's a nice person. The class is pretty boring, but she takes attendence, so don't skip.
great teacher
She's a terrible teacher. She's boring, activities in class have no bearings on nutrition. She just wants to know she's in charge and she makes the rules. The presentations are a joke.
She is a nice lady. the class is kind of boring, I made an A and barely opened my book...tests are long but not hard....1st test is the hardest b/c it has all the vitamins, but the other two tests were not that hard (in my opinion). just go to class because she does in class activities that count toward your grade. she is a stickler on attendance.
I earned an A by reading the book. Study the questions she gives you during her test reviews. Do not read into the questions on her tests. She gives you in class assignments to help boost your grade. Also, she doesn't hammer you on the group project. FYI - She's not an entertainer though.
Easy teacher but very boring. Most of her class is composed of outdated videos, and class activities that usually don't last more than 25min. Attendance is mandatory. I went over my review notes before the tests and got an A with ease. Simply... Easy, but boring.
Very nice lady! Just take good notes and you should be good on the tests. Very easy A.
Probably the sweetest lady ever, but it comes at the expense of her teaching. She teaches like it's an elementary school class. She really doesn't teach much and relies on out-dated videos and student presentations to teach for her. But it's easy, and she's the only person teaching it. But she is sweet, just not the best teacher.
Super sweet lady! She makes the tests simple and goes over *possible* test questions after every lecture. She gives many chances to bring up your grade. I would definitely take a class with her again!!!
She is very nice... but she doesn't make the class worth while. The in-class activities are useless. I took the class over the summer and it was impossible to fail. If you have the book and go to class... it is an easy A.
She is such a nice lady and will do anything to help you. But this class seems to not be an easy A anymore. We got a new textbook and never take notes. She just tells us to read b/c that is what we're tested on (and it's like 4-6 chapters per test). Most of class time spent on group presentations. Studying and reading are now a must for A or B!
Jean MaCuspie is nice, she has an older teaching style but a good sense of humor. She tells you what you need to know for tests and they aren't hard if you study.
She's so sweet & giving, but don't let it fool you. The tests are a beast: 100 hard questions. Make sure you write down every word she says, though it isn't really notes. What she says is what's on the tests, so the more you write, the more you have to study from, & the better you will do. You MUST study for tests, but not the final, it's very EASY!
I got an A in her class, pretty easily, but not without some level of stress. Everyone failed her first test.At first she tried to be a hardass about it, but ended up finding a way to give us 25pts EC,lol. She has an EXTREMELY dry personality. Just read the chapters thorougly in advance & the tests are easy. Don't read = fail.
She is really sweet and the class isn't hard at all. The most difficult thing is the vitamins, but if you make the cards like she tells you to, it'll be easy. She tells you what you need to know, so just take notes from what she says. The presentation is easy, and she gave my whole class 100s on it. If you study what she says, you'll get an A.
This was the worst class I have ever taken. The teacher and the tests were a joke. After the 1st one, i never even cracked the book and still aced the class.Tons of crappy, unrelated class assignments that dont related any real knowlegde of anything 2 the student.Very lacking in personality & treats class like children.take someone else& really learn
Great teacher, easy class. Just take notes of whatever she says, especially the class before the test. Memorize them, and you'll get an A guarenteed. The presentation is simple, everyone gets 100's as long as you do it and follow her intructstions. I'm a business major and took this as an elective. I recommend it to anyone.
Everyone here pretty much described her accurately. She's a sweet old lady. The videos she uses are outdated. The class was very boring, but it's an easy A.
Oh my. It's an easy A, but the woman doesn't teach. I don't know where these folks got "sweet little lady." Eeek. I learned nothing I didn't already know. It's a shame, in the right hands it's a useful class.
Easiest teacher ever, class is boring, I didnt learn anything in this class. You take 3 VERY EASY test, do one group presentation- which everyone gets an 100 on, and 4 class activites which if your in class you get full credit. Basically if you need an extra class thats and easy A, then take it, just dont expect to learn anything.
This was the worst class I have ever had, a waste of tutition. If the university is going to continue to allow this class to be taught is such a poor manner then they should allow you to test out of the course. I learned nothing and was required attend every class, it was a waste of my time and money. Only take if it is your only option. :(
If you need an A to boost up your GPA, I'd suggest this course. Didn't study for the exams and still managed to get an A.
This was the most boring class I have ever had. I begrudged giving up 3 hrs of my week to sit through it. Didn?t study got an A but what a snooze. No final. We had a reg exam the week before. Group presentation (everyone got 100%). Takes attendance. She was a mean old hag all semester until we got the assessment forms. Then she was sweet. Easy A
I learned very little. She should stick to being a Dietician, not a teacher. She treats you like a grandma... mean at first, then sweet as apple pie at end of semester.
Easiest class in the world. Seriously it is a guaranteed A. I don't understand how she was approved as a teacher (although she is really nice) I felt as if I was in elementary school, doing activities such as drawing on balloons and playing bingo. I walked away from the class with an A but learned nothing. Not your typical college course but so ea
She is very sweet. Doesn't do much teaching. She literally tells you everything on the test the class before you take it. There is a group project that is easily accomplished (just go early on and get it over with) I would study the day of and get an A every single time!
Everyone's reviews are correct, and its been like this for ages! She looks mean at 1st, then turns into a sweet little grandma. 3 exams (very simple), 1 presentation(everyone passes with an A, even on the crappiest presentation), and class assignments (which you have to be there to get all the points)...all of this = A! :)
Very... very boring. You will sit there and endure an incredibly monotonous voice telling you page by page what you need to remember. Just bring your book and highlight what she tells you. That's the test. Presentations are easy - we all got 100%. Assignments are stupid, but you have to be there. A tiny bit of work and you get this one in the bag.
She is very boring and she doesn't teach anything so be ready to learn it yourself. The chapters are kinda long, she tells you what to "focus" on but it's still not that helpful. The tests are long 100 Qs, but everyone usually does well on the assignments and class activities and presentations. Yes you have to go to class.
Easiest class I've ever taken in my life. I felt like I was back in elementary school. Professor doesn't actually teach, but puts on nutrition videos from the 1980's & makes class do group presentations on topics. to get an A on the tests, just read all the chapters the test is on; it takes like 3 hours. So boring, but definitely and easy A!!!
The most boring class you will ever take, but also the easiest. Mandatory attendance is annoying but all assignments and tests are easy if you read the chapters. She does not like to use tecnology, which is also frustrating. The way she runs class is more appropriate for high school than college. Overall she is a pretty nice lady. Easy A.
dont buy syllabus! she makes you spend $2. buy old version of the book for a penny on amazon! attendance required. you must read the chapters in the book to get an A. she gives everybody an 100% on the presentation. some easy class assignments. interesting class!!
This class is so easy! She is sooo sweet. At first comes off very strict and mean but she changes after a few weeks. Attendance is mandatory, but so easy to attend. No cell phones (as long as she can't see them). She tells you exactly what is on the test just flipping through the chapters. So you do need a textbook. Easy A :)
This class is soo easy. You do need to buy the book and bring it to each class, you use it alot especially to study for tests. She gives homework assignents every week that are very easy and mostly just take up time. Easy A!
Very easy class, tells you what to study for tests. I never read the book. As long as you do hw and group project you get full credit. Got a B, if I would have put effort in this class would have got an A easily. Only thing I didn't like is she reminded me of a high school teacher.
The professor is very easy but she is strict in class, No computers, phones, etc but that's not a problem, test are ok as long as study, and you will read every chapter in the textbook. You have one project but everyone gets full credit on it, a few class activities are given. Take her to get a passing grade.
Super easy class. May seem strict but she really cares about her students and wants to teach. tests and assignments are easy, let us out of class at least an hour early each week
Very sweet lady. One presentation that is a piece of cake, and four tests that she basically gives you the answers to. She tries to make class time fun and interactive, and I applaud her on her teaching style.
Easy class. The professor comes across as strict at first but is very sweet and wants her students to succeed. She basically gives you the answers to the tests and is very helpful when you talk to her one on one. Class attendance is mandatory but she tries to make it enjoyable. 4 tests and 1 group project that she basically gives everyone an A on.
This class was the easiest I've ever taken. She is extremely strict about EVERYTHING, but if you just do what she says, it is the easiest A you will get. No electronics, no talking, mandatory sign in for attendance but again, the easiest A ever! Minimal homework and tests you don't have to study for. She's sweet but tired of young students.
EASY A. If you take notes/highlight when she reviews the chapters she's basically giving you the test. Strict about electronic use, so don't use them. Loved this class, thought I wasn't learning much but I actually learned a ton.
Easy A. Attend lecture and take notes. She basically gives you the exam answers. She appears strict initially but you will see she is a very sweet lady and is genuinely interested in nutrition and teaching. Really shocked myself as to the amount of material I actually learned from her. Took it Summer A working FT and still got an A. Easy but fun!
You will hate her the first day of class bc she likes to scare people, but then you'll realize how sweet she is and how easy the class is. One group project. A few little "homework assignments" that you can do during class the day they're due. She looks through the chapters & highlights important things with you. Can't use your phonecomp at all.
She comes off as very rude and condescending but, you can look past that for the sake of an easy A. There are a few easy HW and class assignments. She basically gives you the test the class prior. She also takes attendance every class. If you talk to her she is lenient with make-ups. Oh and 1 group project everyone gets an A on.
You have 53 pts to spare in this class for you to not get an A. She basically gives you an a on: final, group project, class activies. the only thing you may not get an A on is your exams. Highlight what she says when she goes over the chapter and study that only. That's your exams. Her exams are super easy. She wants you to pass. SUPER EASY A.
Very easy class. 3 exams and an essay final. She gives a few little homework assignments and does a couple class activities that are easy 100s for participation. There is a group presentation portion, but everyone got a 100. Write down what she says when your going over the chapter, and that's the test. Easy A
On the first day she makes it seem like the class will be tough, but as you go through the semester you'll find it is super easy! Overall awesome class to take, esecially if you need a GPA booster! 3 exams with essay final exam. Little homework assignments (Super easy 100's) and one group project, which everyone receives 100's. Her Any other prof
Easiest class ever! She is very old school. No electronic devices at all during class. She tells you exactly what is on the tests and there are some homework assignments. Take this class to learn a lot and get an easy A!
Like what everyone else here says, her class is definitely easy. She just basically gives you the answer to the tests. Easy assignments too.
She's not into technology, and if you use it in class be prepared to be called out. Hand written notes are expected, I used an electronic copy of the book and had to sit in a specific row. If you pay attention in lecture, you don't need the book. The best test grade I got was from studying what she said in class.
She will try to scare you at the beginning of the class, it is a really easy class. Do all the assignments in class for credit and the tests are almost word for word exactly what she says in class. She basically reads from the textbook.
The most caring professor at UCF hands down! She really wants all her students to succeed and pass. She will let you know exactly what you need to know and study. Her exams are very easy if you come to every single class and listen. I really learned a lot in this class and she made it very interesting with fun hands-on class activities.
Easiest A ever, great for a GPA boost! Study for 30 minutes before each test what she tells you to highlight in the book. Easy HW assignments every few weeks. She usually lets class out an hour early & really wants her students to do well!
This class was a breeze! A very easy A! Everything is straight out of the textbook and the tests are very easy. You have to show up to class because she does in class assignments (all of which are graded on participation) and there is one group project but it is not much work at all. HIGHLY recommend taking her!
Sweet little professor :) Write down everything she says because it will be on exam. No need to study anything else. There are 3 MC exams, an essay final, group project, 3 short writing HW, and participation assignments in class. All very easy. You need to hand-write your notes so don't bring your tablets or other devices. Highly recommend!
Sweetest lady ever. Seems intimidating on day 1 but super nice. Go to every class. Assigns maybe 3 activities to do at home. Rest are in class and super easy. She won't even take points off if you forget to bring in what she asked you to for the activity. Tests are easy enough, study exactly what she tells you to, no trick questions. Easy A.
Took this class for summer A and got an A. This class is so easy, because she makes it easy and interesting. Class never went the full length and test were always true to her reviews. I didn't buy the book and did most of my studying on quizlet. Just make sure you do the homework and papers and study for 30 minutes before each test.
This class is so easy, it's ridiculous. You don't really need the book but she does-+ tells you to memorize certain things from it. The week before each test she goes over what's going to be on it and it's basically the test. Do all the assignments and attendance is mandatory but it's impossible to fail this class.
Go to class and you will do fine. She tells you exactly what is on the tests. She usually has assignments after every class so stay and make sure you do them. All of the work is easy it's just boring but she tries to make it somewhat fun. She's really quiet so sit near the front.
Very boring and long classes but she genuinely cares about people. She is super understanding on assignments and tests. Extremely fair with grades. Great person. Do your work and you can succeed.
During the first week, she comes off as intimidating and tries to scare away anyone who is not serious. By the end of the class, you really learn how caring and sweet she is. She has helped me a lot and I have even learned a lot of life advice from her class.
I really warmed up to her and she proved herself to be a very caring and sweet woman. There's a group presentation that is super easy. I didn't buy the textbook, myself, but my group all pitched in a few bucks for a community textbook amongst us ($20 5). Attendance is graded so go to every class, it's once a week so its not hard. Test are easy
Super easy class. The notes she gives you are LITERALLY her tests. Don't let her scare you in the beginning bc the class really isn't that bad. She says there's no phones allowed but everyone still discreetly uses them. There's one group presentation and class activities that are really easy. Literally just show up to class and you'll do fine
As long as you show up to lecture and write notes on her key points it is an easy A.
Basically go to class and you'll get an A. I did not buy the textbook, I just wrote down everything she said during the chapter reviews and that was the literal exam. Your grade consists of class activities, a group project, exams, and a couple homework assignments. Very easy class. She's a very nice lady, but class is incredibly boring.
Mrs MacCuspie seems intimidating at first, but she is a very kind lady. She gives out homework assignments, but she is a lenient grader. Read the textbooks for the tests and listen to her when she's telling you what is going to be on the test. The test questions are usually straight from the book.
Professor MacCuspie is so sweet and truly cares about her students. She makes it seem like this class is going to be so difficult when in fact it is the easiest thing in the world as long as you go to class and do what she asks. Her classes are boring but theyre only once a week so its doable.
She is super sweet; however, she is very old school. No grades will be posted on web courses and you have to sign in at the end of class for your attendance to count.
Prof MacCuspie is definitely one of my new favorite professors. She goes over the chapters in detail and everything she says out loud is the tests. She does easy but informative in class assignments. There is also one group project. She does attendance every single class so I recommend going.
Really nice older lady. She doesnt ever put grades into webcourses but the 3 tests are pretty much the only thing you need to worry about. she pretty much tells you what is going to be on the tests the class before you just need to study it. Youll also have to do a group presentation in front of the class.
Wonderful Professor! She truly enjoys teaching Human Nutrition and wants to share her knowledge and experience with her students. Shes definitely old school; she does not use canvas and requires handwritten notes. You will do well if you show up to class and write down what she goes over in class. Super glad I took her class!
Professor MacCuspie is the sweetest professor I've ever had. She's a cute little grandma that really wants her students to succeed. She counts attendance so please, go to class. She makes the class seem way harder than it is, so don't be scared. Just read the book, write down what she says is going to be on the exams, and you'll have a great time.
I really enjoyed Professor MacCuspie. She is so sweet and genuinely wants her students to do well. She gives so many opportunities to fix your grade or to improve it. Go to class because she tells you what is specifically on the test. The quizlets are pretty much the tests as well, so make sure you study what she says and the quizlets too.
She is an exceptional professor in terms of her caring attitude and approachability. She is a very forgiving grader, and her assignments and tests are both generally very easy.
This professor really does want you to do well in her class even if it doesn't seem like it at first. Its a very simple course with a few class activities, tests, and a group project. Only negative thing is that she doesn't use web courses or email so you must attend class to know whats going on. also cant use laptops or phones in classroom
The sweetest old lady who really cares for her students. If you didn't turn in an assignment, she lets you turn it in late for full credit. 3 exams all on quizlet so the book wasn't necessary, 6 assignments, 1 easy group presentation and an opinion-based essay final. The only bad thing is she doesn't use webcourses. No phones or laptops in class.
Professor Maccuspie is seriously so amazing and sweet. This class was very easy and informative! The exams are all based off of quizlets and she basically gives you the answers when she reviews them prior. This professor is like a sweet grandmother and she genuinely cares about her students & wants you to succeed in life. Take this class!!!!
Out of all the professors I have had in college, Professor Maccuspie cared the most about her students grades and well being. The class is so incredibly easy to do well in and requires very little studying. On top of that she makes the class fun and is very adorable and funny.
TEXTBOOK IS NOT USED WHATSOEVER! Like every professor, she will stand up there and tell you that the textbook is necessary for every lecture. I bought the online textbook version. She is very much like a high school teacher, hates phones, laptops, etc. I bought the textbook prior to knowing that and she flipped out. Allhertestsyoucanstudyonquizlet!
Professor Maccusspie is such a sweet human being. Her humor makes the class a very memorable experience. She made teaching Nutrition fun with plenty of interactive assignments and easy exams. Yeah, her exams were cake! So don't stress as much. There is a group presentation as well and it was super cake as well. Overall, an easy A!
Sweetest professor ever! Old-fashioned though - no phones or laptops allowed. Only graded by class assignments, 1 group presentation, 3 tests (very straightforward, used Quizlet and studied the day before), and an opinion based final. Tells you word for word what's on the test. Does not require much studying. Very easy A!
She's the sweetest. Super old school but it didn't bother me because she's super nice and caring and would help you with whatever. You need to show up for the class activities and have 1 group presentation. She tells you what'll be on each exam so if you're fast enough to write everything down (no laptops) you don't need to get the book. Easy exams
Txtbk isn't required but I learned a lot from it. Syllabus tells you all about the assignments. She tells you everything that will be on exams the class before-write it down. There are a lot of quizlets out there that are basically the test. Very easygoing, attendance is mandatory because there are class assignments. We never stayed the full 3 hrs.
