Jean is very approachable, patient, and knowledgable. We can tell by the way she teaches, that she really loves teaching. I would strongly recommend her as an instructor.

She believes in learning through involvement. The gist of the class was the field trip and research. She does accept late work! This is the best way to satisfy your physical science with a lab!

GREAT TEACHER... she makes sure everyone understands the material before moving on. I think the only thing really wrong, is the AMOUNT of time she spends on waiting for everyone to get each concept. It wasted alot of class time.

Excellent teacher. There is a lot of work but it is all so interesting you enjoy doing it. 80% of the class if field trip work. I will probably take her tropical ecology class just as a vacation. Best way to get your science credit.

This is an excellent class, fun, well organized, nice group working experience, it made my Summer special this year! It is probably one of the most enjoyable classes I have taken. I had lots of fun and learned a lot! Will recommend it highly.

I took Jean three years ago, and if I could, I'd take her over again. She is probably one of the nicest teachers I've ever had. Any questions that I had, she answered. Her lectures were clear and she was very organized. If you pay attention and enjoy the class, you'll pass.

She is a good teacher. Her class is kinda medium hard because of tests. I got me a B i hope. I would take her again though. It's an alrite class

Great teacher! Easy going. I took the online class with her; As long as you followed up with the class, you should get a easy A. Her power points and notes are really helpful. She gave out 100 points for extra credits. She's easy going on the homework, you can still turn in the homework late, and she'll still accepted.

Professor Replicon's intro to bio class is extremely fun and easy. Easy in the sense that if you do what you're supposed to, you'll get a good grade. She gives extra credit, and I advise you do all she gives you. Field trip labs are the best! She's always willing to help too!

She gives good,clarity information for the quizzes and exames,so you dont need book for this.A good way to study this bio class is going to labs, take note for lad exam,take good notes on her online lectures to study for lecture exam,draw picture to undertand concepts and mechanisms.You will be fine with this.She makes Biology easy for you.

I took Mrs. Replicons online intro to biology class. It's a really easy class if you dont fall behind in reading. other than that its a real easy class. she also got really interested in the daily issues of global warming and stem cell research. shes also really nice and understanding TAKE HER CLASS!!! IT'S SOOOO EASY!!!!

Took her for Microbio in the summer semester. Easy class - study powerpoints. Pop quizzes based on hw, but you can still pass with just ppt... Jean has an oddball but friendly personality -- seems a bit selective with her students, but still manageable. If you are good about studying, and want that A, then her class is good.

She is a great teacher. I took her Intro to bio summer class. Very easy if you keep up with the readings and pay attention to her powerpoints. You had to do quizes on each chapter...not that hard( mine was online so you can use everything, books, google, notes.) She gives extra credit. In our class you can raise your grade up to 5%. Very good teacher. Made the subject more interesting. I took online class, easy to follow but you got to keep up with the work/reading. Lots of extra credit opportunity. I like that you can do all or some of the extra credit.

I don't remember any of this from high school, but professor Replicon makes the subject fun and easy to learn. You should read the book in order to better understand the lectures. Book: Essentials of the living world (3rd edition) by George Johnson. Gives extra credit. Quizes, midterm, final, 2 lab exams, and NO HW! She is a great teacher.

LOVE HER!!! She is very nice and helpful. A lot of extra credit opportunities are offered. Her online class videos and lectures are extremely helpful and lab is actually fun, time flies by when you attend this class. The only difficult part of this class is the lab exam. Overall a GREAT teacher.

She's a great teacher. I took her once before for Marine Bio, loved her class so I decided to take another course under her name. She makes every study, exam, quiz, etc do-able for her entire class. Just be sure to stay within the same pace or you could get quite behind. Not because it's hard, but b/c she knows how to make it easy to understand.

pretty easy class if your willing to put some effort into it. the 50 extra credit points really helped as well. take her!

One of my favorites! She is very helpful and makes Bio so much fun. I had a great time in her class. She loves the environment and that rubs off on to you. You should get an A, a for sure B.

Dr. Replicon is very responsive. She listens to students' need and works on it diligently. I took her online class in the fast-paced summer session. She is super helpful by not only answering each of my questions, but also providing a study schedule at the very beginning. She cares about nature and pass the message to students. Highly recommend!

I took her online class and she's very well organized! She recorded every lecture for each chapter in the book which are available to you anytime. You can watch lectures as if you're in the classroom and pause, rewind, fast forward to whichever part you want! If only every professor taught online classes the way she did.

I signed up based on ratings below, she completely changed. Expect quizzes on 3 chapters every 2 weeks, a midterm on 10 chapters 75 Qs and much more. I do my work, im not rating her low because i slacked. I put more time in this class than my calculus. Take at your own risk but im warning you guys, not as easy as previosu raters make her seem. :/

Professor Replicon is AMAZING!! She is sooo nice, helpful and extremely understanding! I will definitely take her again (as a matter of fact next semester!). I highly recommend her! She is always willing to help and her lectures are very VERY clear!

Took both her Bio 10 lecture and Lab. Awesome teacher, super clear. Gives a generous extra credit. Her tests are easy if you have a general foundation of biology or pay attention in class. Got an A in both of her courses. Recommended~!

Took this class based on the good ratings below.... DEFINITELY NOT WHAT I READ ABOUT. Lectures are just power points and are pretty boring, but she's really nice and is willing to answer all questions. She gave us study guides to fill out and use during quizzes, but it doesn't even help! *REALLY TOUGH CLASS (only take if your up for a challenge)

If you can teach yourself, and memorize study guides then take her. Other than that she is easy and nice, Its just the fact that you have to do good on the exams.. *HAVE TO* the exams make up 60% of your grade. Lectures are just powerpoint, attendance is a must since she does bluebook. DO NOT TAKE IF YOUR LOOKING FOR AN EASY A!!!! :(

She is a great teacher! She is organized & knows her stuff. She enjoys teaching & it shows & that makes me want to go to class everyday. She keeps you on track with the quizzes. And you can use the study guides on the quizzes so the answers are right in front of you. Her Midterms are easy if you study. And she gives out a bunch of extra credits!

Lectures start to feel very repetitive, the instructor has so much to cover within the semester she often has to rush. Quizzes twice a month at least, study guides allowed (quizzes only) but almost useless. Attendance mandatory due to blue book. Exams very broad, again study guides almost useless. Intro to bio has a ridiculous amount of info.

I really enjoyed taking this professor for biology. I normally hate science, but she was very friendly and helpful if I had a question for anything. She's open to questions and there are lectures online and she provides practice tests that will help on exams. You can definitely get an A as long as you study and do the work. Take this professor!

Great teacher, really cares about the subject. Clear, lectures about whats on the test, allows half a page cheat sheet for quizzes and 3x5 card for tests. 1 pt question opportunity at beginning of class so come on time if you want it. Bio lab tests are open note and labs are easy if you do the work. it corresponds with the lectures.

One of the best teachers I have ever taken. I have taken 3 classes with her and she is knowledgeable, cares about her students success and generally just an awesome professor! Take every class you can with her! You will be wowed!

I took her online class and was very pleased with the amount of interaction she had with the students. She was constantly checking up on us to make sure we were understanding the material. There was a TON of reading to do but that's what happens when you take a BIO class online.

Amazing, helps out, always there for you. Not a super easy class, but no excuse not to pass.

Standard Prof-clear expectations-helpful. Read the chapter before class (or in my case online). I've taken her before and there's no good reason other than internal for you to get a bad grade. Cool Labs/fieldtrips. She's accessible and cares so talk to her if you're having trouble. Get an older ed textbook or go to library. Would recommend

My favorite professor at Mission, absolutely love her. She cares deeply about her subject and her students, and is super friendly and kind. She's almost more like a friend than a professor. She made me want to change my major to biology, but I couldn't because I am not good enough at math. I wish I could take more classes with her.

Hands down one of the most caring teachers I've ever had. She makes sure to make herself accessible if students need help, and she is clearly very passionate and knowledgable about the material she teaches.

Professor Replicon is an amazing teacher. I just completed her Tropical Ecology class. she is one of my favorite teachers. She will go out of her way to help you. She gives great lectures and is caring. I highly recommend her.

She may provide you with a lot of assignments. If I were you, watch all the lectures one day, finish the chapter study guide and quiz the next day, and key thing: MEMORIZE THE LECTURE SLIDES. For the textbook, don't read the whole chapter. If you are able to answer its concept Qs, ur good. If you weekly do this, you are prepared for her tests.

She is fantastic. I took her online course and it was the BEST online course I have taken at Mission. Her lecture videos were comprehensive and interesting. She answered questions very quickly. Her review sessions and web conferences really helped. She WANTS you to do well and will help you get there.

Very caring and devoted to her students I took her for marine biology and had such a great experience especially on the field trips. Make sure you do well on her notebook and don't wait until the last minute because its worth 30% of the total grade.

Lecture from beginning to end of class w/out breaks. Lectures are her w/ slideshows that you can find online. Lot of extra cred. Adorable--she always thanked us for showing up at the end of class and stayed after to answer questions. Quiz about every other week, 3 exams, no final, and some study guides. Will not pass if you have bad work ethic.

Took Bio 10 a second time, didn't need it take it though because I had completed Bio 11 Human Biology. I expected to finish the first time, but that didn't happen! Class wasn't hard, was enjoyable, and I had fun along the way! So it was good!

For the online Biology class, it is pretty much made of one quiz a week, about 4-5 discussions, and three exams. The exams were most of the grade and were somewhat difficult. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT. The extra credit boosted my grade heavily and is not that time-consuming.

She was an overall good teacher. Her tests were somewhat easy and even though it was an online class, she really cared whether or not you were able to retain the information. She also gave a lot of extra credit which was awesome.

I took Professor Replicon as my first instructor in college, and she was amazing! Shes so sweet and her lectures are helpful. The tests arent too bad, just make sure you study it all well. She gives a very helpful study guide you need to turn in, and reviews any doubts before the test. Shes so sweet and an excellent teacher. I miss her class.

I'm not a Biology major, so understanding and comprehending the terms and lectures weren't easy for me. It's a lot of memorization!! Make sure to stay on track because it's very easy to fall behind. Your exams can consist of 4-6 chapters, depending. Jean is really wonderful, but this class isn't an easy A if you don't really pay attention.

An absolute gem - caring, funny, & wants you to succeed. Amazing prerecorded lectures plus she provides printable notes ahead of time to make your life easier. Hosts biweekly study sessions to test your knowledge & interact with the class (attend these! They are super helpful!) She made difficult material easy to understand and retain. LOTS of EC!

Replicon is an easy A for BIO10L. She has pre and post quizzes but it's everything from the lab. She does drop two of your lowest grades, on from assignments and another from pre/post quiz. You have a midterm and a final but open book and NO limit of cheat sheets. You can use almost anything except for the textbook. Lecture are boring

truly the best professor i have had during my time at mission college. truly is passionate about what she teaches. take marine biology with her! there are about 8 field trips you get to go on, and you will truly fall in love with the subject. replicon is so caring and amazing! the class is easy, keep up with the notebook, do the study guides!

Get ready to read and take weekly quizzes. 3 exams overall and heavy on the work. Has field trips which is nice and you can get to know your classmates better. It's also a very long class so be prepared. One nice thing about the exams is that it is open book. No limit on the cheat sheets. Overall, fun class but a long and hard one.
