HIGHLY INTELLIGENT BEING. SHE IS VERY GOOD AT GIVING EXAMPLES AND IS A BIT HUMOROUS.HER CLASS ATMOSPHERE IS VERY PEACEFUL AND HER LECTURES ARE INFORMATIVE. HOWEVER, HER TESTS ARE CHALLENGING IF YOU DON'T DEDICATE TIME TO THE SUBJECT AND STUDY. WARNING TAKE CLASS IF YOUR IQ IS OVER 200.

Once of the very best profs. a person could ever have. The material is not the easiest, but she takes her time & never puts anything on the exams she does not teach !

She is the best! Never opened the book once in any of her classes. Her personnally written lecture notes and sample questions are all you need. Be in class because her way of explaing capillary action is quite humerous. Don't worry her sense of humor lightens up and up after the first chem.

Wonderful teacher. Her tests and quizzes may not be easy for everyone (I haven't had any problems), but they always cover EXACTLY what she goes over in class. I think that her lectures are very thorough and clear, and I'd definitely recommend her to anyone willing to make an effort.

If you believe the 2,3 and 4 comments, then you are a MORON! She is very helpful, only you show her that you are serious about learning. Her lectures are very interesting. She only get irritated with students who show up late to her class and leave cell phones on. If you need help, she will help.

Madea got me interested in Chemistry and i'm now a Chem Engineering major. I think she is awesome and highly recommend her. She is a very smart and sharp lady and also heads the Honor's Society at the campus. She takes the time to create note "packets" which are very helpful! Take her for Chem!!

She is the most wonderful professor at B.C.C. At times she can be difficult, however, I learned more than I expected. Furthermore, she made me love chemistry so much that I went on to study it at a university. I plan on attending grad school to study chemistry!

what i liked most about this prof is that she was truly interested in her subject.she likes what she's doing and it shows.if all teachers were like this,school would have been so much more fun.don't buy the book it is pointless.her notes & packets are good enough to get an A.

Test are given on what she discussed in class. You do not need the book because the informaiton is given in the handouts.

Great professor, knows the subject very well makes it interesting and clear. cares about the students. But she is very methodic.

I hated chemistry until I had her. She is very good at putting things in a simple form to understand. She's also very helpful. She's the best teacher I've ever had.

She teaches her own material and you do not have to purchase the book.Her tests are based on lecture and handouts.She can be tricky on the calculations,depending on her mood! She is a great professor that should have more accolades for the effort she puts forth. Her passion is teaching and reflects it. You will not look at chemistry the same way.

Dr Madea was one of the best professors Ive had at BCC. She is tough, but VERY fair. She does whatever she can to get her students to understand the material,and gives very good analogies to help understand, and not once did i see her teach from the book. She supplies her own packets of material which she speaks of plans to make into her own textbo

I could fill this whole comment with the word "Awesome" but that still might not get my point across. Don't take any chem. prof. except her even if you have to wait a semester or two, believe me she's worth it. She's also a great honors coordinator; she helped me a lot. Oh, and DON"T buy the book, save your money.

If you have to take Chemistry, TAKE HER. she gives great, organized, clear notes, does examples of every kind of problem. her tests and quizzes are easy if you study and definetly come to class. she also gives packets for the chapters. also, she is understanding outside of class. she's the best! Highly Recommended!

Good Professor! Take her, u won't regret. Best chemistry teacher that I had so far. I had to move from Broward county and currently am taking another teacher for Org. and I can tell u that Dr. Madea is the best! She's moody at times, but who isn't? Way to go Doc.

She a great professor for student who have a hard time with chemistry. As long as take good notes, study, and listen in class you wiil pass her class.

Dr.Madea is the greatest teachers ever. she is so thorough and clear in what she expects you to know. her exams reflect exactly what is given from her notes i didn't get an A in her class bec. i have 2 babys, single mom, work, and take a min of 12 credits per semester but any one easily can get an A in her class that can devote more time.

THIS IS A GREAT PROFESSOR! SHE WOULD HELP ANYONE TO UNDERSTAND THE MATERIAL. EASY TO TALK TO AND HER LECTURE WOULD COVER EXACTLY WHAT THE TEST WOULD BE. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS AND WRITE DOWN HER LECTURE, YOU WILL DEFINITELY GET AN "A" IN THE COURSE.

She is very clear in her explanations of things. Everything is based on packets she hands out. Reading the book is optional, but I found it helpful. Good instructor, respectful to students, and expects respect in return.

She was very thorough and is extremely knowledgeable. She spends the class period lecturing and will also hand out TONS of study material that will review everything you will need to know for the test. The subject is very difficult and moves along very fast. Know the study guides and take great notes and you'll do just fine.

I graduated last year,took all 3 classes with her.She is the best chemistry teacher.I personally thanked her for being such a good prof. However,as a person,she has attitude problems and does not have respect for her younger students, no communication skills.She is arogant,as well.Good thing she is not a doctor 'cuz she would just be broke.

She is very helpful with materials and always ready for any question. She breaks down hard materials into easy steps and then brings all steps together finally. She makes tests from all she covers in the class, though the tests are not multiple choices and not easy ones! I, however, like them. They are making you think twice.

Great teacher. knows her stuff. She is the best chemistry teacher in the whol BCC campuses. She is happy during the summer semister and thats like the easy class time to take her. Good teacher..

AWESOME!!!!! No better word to describe her. BCC is lucky to have this woman in their faculty. She knows her stuff, loves to teach, and does it so well! If you are a lazy student looking for the easy way out of school, I don't recommend you take her. However, if you are serious about your education, you must take her. Relates subject to life.

She is a very good teacher. I did not understand chemistry at all in high school, but she made it very understandable. Her test can get hard, but that just means you have to study harder. She teaches at a nice speed too, and everything comes in a packet form. She also tells you what the test is going to cover, and its never to much to handle.

Shes a Great teacher. shes clear, precise, and straight to the point. If I wasnt changing my major I would have taken all her science courses to continue in Biology, but otherwise I highy recommend her anyone. She does give out extra credit occasionally, and tells small stories about her little quirks and passions for science. She PWNS!!

She is THE BEST! If you are not good in science, take her. She makes the subject very easy and takes time to answer questions. She knows how to explain and make you understand her. GREAT, AWESOME! I have taken all my general chemistry with her and wish she could teach organic!

Afraid of chemistry? Dont be!!! Take this professor and you'll learn alot, have fun, and you wont be overloaded.. Gives handouts, tests only on what she lectures about.. very professional.. kinda quirky.. doesnt like to be interrupted.. semi control freak.. but shes a science nerd.. they're all like that.. hehe.. take this class!!!

Make sure you remember what she mentioned in class or else she'll throw something on the test that you've never seen and you'll spend time working on it without reaching anywhere and if she makes this mistake bring it to her attention and if she doesn't fix it GO SEE THE DEAN ( he's had several complaints like this before) TRUST ME SHE DOES THIS!!

She's ok. Pay attention, study and you may just pass,however, please listen to all the things she's saying because she teaches other classes and gets confused as to where she has reached with each class, therefore, you may get a question on your test that you weren't taught.

Prof. Madea has a very quirky & fun teaching style. Attendance is not mandatory, but she can make sense out of things that seem like chinese in the book. She's a lot of fun & always has a story to go along with things. She loves teaching and it shows. Plus she hands out great materials to help you study.

Very good professor. She knows her stuff and you will learn if you are willing to show up to class, listen, take the notes and do the work she gives you. Very nice proffesor. She gives you notes and excercise practice for every chapter she's covering. If you feel you're not good in chemestry, she is the one for you. Take notes and dont miss classes, and you'll get an easy A.

Professor Madea knows her stuff. She can teach chemistry with her eyes closed and hands tied behind her back. If you want a solid foundation in general chem I highly reccommend her. Her tests are challenging but she goes over everything that will be on them and also gives out her own notes. Honestly, I never had to even open my book.

I thought she was a good teacher. Sometimes she would repeat something she taught us already. She started class right away and always stayed on topic.

clear, copy notes from board, don't buy textbook, lots of hand outs, nice lady if u obey her quidelines, follows the syllabus strictly, don't miss her tests or quizzes, nice teacher, teaches well

Dr. Madea is an exceptional chm professor . u don't need the text book she gives you hand outs and everything on the tests she goes over in class. she is very clear and makes class fun. i got 602 out of 600 possible points with not alot of grueling study time. show up and pay attention and you should do fine. i highly recommend.

amazing professor. everything is absolutly clear. the first time i ever understood every concept in chemistry! she answers e-mails right away and if you do better on the final then the entire course she will take the higher grade on the final over the rest! extremely fair grading!

Fabulous teacher! She has 100% control of her class. Everything you need to know for the tests is what she writes on the board and in the handouts. Tests are long. She starts lecturing exactly when class is supposed to start so show up on time and TURN OFF YOUR CELL PHONE! Do not take the summer session..grueling!

I would absolutely recommend this professor. She gives handouts, lectures clearly, and tells you what will be on the exams. She tells you exactyly what is covered on the exam, and grades exactly as she tells you she will. Absolutely fair and willing to help you learn. No surprises in her class. Very good teacher. Very serious about Chem. Need to study for tests, but everything is in her notes and what she teaches in class. And she gives extra credit. Pay attention, study, and you'll be fine. If your a good student, take this professor.

Great Professor this is the second class I had with her. If you take good notes and come to every class take her class. Probaly the best Professor Ive had.

She is GREAT. I got a 78 and received a B in the class. Very reasonable lady. She is the best teacher at BC. Always prepared and shows HIGH interest in students education. If she is late or doesnt come to class, she is alot more lenient towards YOUR final grade, showing much consideration. She gives what you deserved on top of what you earned.

Professor Madea must be some kind of magican. She makes what looks like chiness in chemistry english. She is the BEST, her teaching method is amazing. I will take chm 1041 and 1046e with her. I can understand and learn and love chemistry with Professor Madea.

Excellent professor. First time taking her and before her I had another professor twice in a row thinking he was good but yet barely passing my test and receiving a C in his class. Thought I was the one who couldn't comprehend chemistry but with this lady the lowest test grade I got with her was a 79. I soo recommend her!

Wonderful professor! She makes chemistry fun and understandable. She is very knowledgable and passionate about chemistry that makes her students WANT to learn. Very few professors have that. She has a great sense of (dry) humor that make her lectures fun. I have recommended her to EVERYONE!

I took Prof. Madea for chm1040 and 1045. I love this woman. She is an amazing professor. I took her for lab as well. In all honesty, she's a tough grader when it comes to the lab. But at least she curves the grades. She makes things interesting and fun. Writes everything you need to know on the board while explaining it, and makes sure it's clear.

Not a bad professor, had her for 2 terms. Her tests are just really hard. Personally I would try and find someone else if you're not that into chemistry. Don't take her lab, I've seen her lab tests and they are just crazy.

Excellent teacher, straight forward, likes dealing with ADULTS so leave the immaturity outside class. I thought the subject was entertaining, I felt like every day I learned something, she gives packages, make sure u read them at home, do ur homework even though its not required, it will help lots! Gosh I love this Teacher. I knew nothing about Chemistry but she broke it down so everyone could understand. I drive all the way from Miramar just to take her. Im taking her again in the upcoming semester for 1041 and im going to take her for 1046 as well. I highly recommend her.

If you want to learn CHM, this teacher will teach you everything there is to know about CHM. She is so knowledgeable about CHM; she does not use a book or read from Power Points, like most teachers. Her lectures are extremely interesting, which makes you look forward to attend class. Study her package and notes and you will be fine. Study!!! Study!

Amazing teacher. She knows exactly what she's talking about and knows exactly how to dumb it down for us. Her metaphors are usually spot on and she's funny. I had absolutely no interest in chemistry before taking her class. However, after taking CHM1040 with her, I seriously taught about changing my major. She is the best chemistry teacher ever!!!!

She is the most amazing professor ever! I've grown to love chemistry so much, i'm thinking about changing my major. She will make sure you understand it, and is very clear. She's also very funny. I had for her for CHM!040 and CHM1041 and am taking her for CHM1046. You won't regret it.

She makes everything so easy to understand. If you're going to take CHM1045/1046, take it with her. She explains everything in such detail, and she even teaches you fun facts about everyday things. And she gives xtra credit work on every exam!

she is one of the best. explains extremely clear. give practice problems to take home. gives a lot of examples in class. her tests are very fair. she even puts an extra credit page they could be tricky but she makes it so that you earn it. this is my second time taking 1046 and i feel like Ive learned way more this time around

G.O.A.T. chemistry teacher. Has some downright hilarious moments and makes it easy to understand for people that don't fully understand it. Grade is off 4 Quizzes, and 4 Exams. No surprises, she'll tell you exactly(to the T!) what you need to know for the exam/quizzes the class or two beforehand. You can't really ask for much more from a teacher.

I took every chemistry class with her 1040, 1041, 1045, lab too, and couldn't be happier. Best Chemistry teacher ever. I used to hate this subject, now I am knowledgeable and confident. Thank you Professor Madea. (I've got A by the way:)). Take her classes, don't be lazy, study well and you will do great.

Prof. Madea is the best! She explains the material very well and tells hilarious stories! You don't need the text; everything comes DIRECTLY from the notes you take in class. Dr. Madea is one of the best teachers/professors I have ever had the pleasure of getting to know. Her class and tests are pretty straight forward so you can pass with an high B or A with no problem. It's a shame that she will be retiring after the Fall 2013 semester. I hope that I can get a spot in her last 1046 class during the fall!

i must say i got up very early in the morning to take her, and it was the best decision i ever made, no need for the texbook, she has review packets that has notes and sample questions that will be just like the test, it's meant to help you succeed, however she only teaches her own problems and subject, so thats all you will know for chem .

Professor Madea is the BEST chemistry teacher I have ever had. She explains everything and gives you stories to help you remember the material. Her class is NOT an easy A, you have to work hard and earn it but at the same time its not impossible. Her review packet is probably the best thing EVER! It has alot of notes and practice questions.

Professor Madea is the best chemistry teacher ever! at first i was a little scare to take chemistry but after having it with this amazing teacher i ended up actually liking chemistry. she teaches everything so clear and her love for the subject makes the students understand it even more. sad that this will be her last semester.

she is as clear as day! I wish I was aware of this great kept secret of a professor a few semesters back. unfortunately I only got to experience her for chm1040, as she is getting ready to retire
