Great class, Interesting
Best teacher I have ever had. Made me feel like I was worth something and that was enough in itself. I learned so much from this teacher but most importantly, I realized I could be successful through my own hard work. I will never forget this experience.
Dr. Bianchi is amazing. Lectures are in-depth and engaging, and she's a tough but fair grader. Given the chance, I would definitely take another class with her.
Super nice professor with very interesting lectures. Material is never dull and is explained very thoroughly.
Very lecture based but she made it less boring and always ready to jump into action. Bianche and her TA's are very accessible and she always comes to class prepared. Needs a clicker!
Bianchi's class is one of the hardest classes I've taken at UA, but I learned a ton about the human brain. Tests are really difficult, but reading the textbook and taking notes helps a lot. Clicker points help your grade, so attendance is important. Grade is three short papers, four exams, attendance, and a final term paper.
Really easy A, as long as you show up and meet deadlines. Not a lot of work, a weekly online quiz and some short writting assignments. I'm terrible and writing and have gotten 100% on each assignment too, not a hard grader.
This class has no tests, just online quizzes once a week and writing assignments. The writing assignments don't require much work (1-2 pages double spaced) and the quizzes are open book. I ended the semester with a 99.4 and I did not put much time into this class. Dr. Bianchi also gives extra credit opportunities in class.
This class was super interesting and very easy. There is one weekly quiz in which you can access the online textbook at the same time while taking. There are four writing assignments but they are only two pages double spaced and are SUPER easy. There are no exams. I would take PSY150 with Dr. Bianchi as the class is stress free and fascinating.
She has a dry humor which made lectures fun. The clicker participation is extra credit. She is also not lying when she says she will not give you make up points. My clicker wasn't working and even with UITS help I missed out on 4 days of points and spoke to her after class those days but she makes no expectations.
Professor Bianchi, was one of the best professor Ive had yet. Everythings organized, you know what to expect each week & therefore can relax & learn in lectures/ work ahead if needed!
Shes young but shes very knowledgeable. Mind and Brain is a neurology course, so its bound to be a bit difficult. Still, getting an A isnt that hard. Her lectures are clear, and she gives you all the material you need for the exam. I didnt need to read the book. The reflections are easy, and she gives extra credit often. I really liked her!
Clicker points are a vital every day thing in this class. If you leave 10 minutes early with a handful of people, she will assign another question to make you not get the points. Weekly online quizzes through the online textbook; answers right in front of your face, even has a search bar. Very easy A, no final or midterm just an overall synopsis!
Invest in a clicker because clicker points are a big chuck of your grade. Lectures are sometimes interesting and allows students to say what they think even with such a huge class.
Professor Bianchi has all grading criteria clearly outlined. Class is set-up for entire semester, making it easy to work ahead. Very caring & polite teacher.
Dr. Bianchi is one of my favorite professors at the U of A. Her lectures are useful for the tests, and you're allowed to bring in physical notes/the textbook to use for them. She offers a lot of extra credit too. Attendance is taken with clickers by answering questions but lectures aren't boring to sit through so they don't feel like a waste.
Cool class. Just dont take her class specifically.
Dr. Bianchi was a cool professor. She knows a lot about psychology and loves to teach. She is very passionate in her lectures and tries to include everyone. She gave a ton of extra credit, but at the end of the semester, she is not very lenient on giving anyone a break on grades. So make sure you put in the work during the semester.
Hybrid class that's super easy and convenient for people who don't want to be on campus as often as other students. Buy the online textbook, you'll need it for everything! Stay on top of deadlines, go to EVERY in-class meeting bc they're worth a lot, and participate. Your final grade depends on the work you put in. A stress free class.
Easiest class I've ever taken. Didn't need the text book, all quizzes are on quizlet. There are three papers and are super super easily graded. Exams are easy if you have common sense. Lots of extra credit
or this class it was all online beside 7 in person meeting which were very interesting and fun.
Second time taking a class with her and I loved every second. She cares about her students and presents info in many formats (videos, crosswords, powerpoint, etc.) to aid all learning styles. Two tries on every exam. Material is hard because it's Cognitive Neuroscience (duh.), but the class is made for your success. Easy A. I didn't buy the book.
Disrespectful, not understanding, rude
Great hybrid course. The teacher is very passionate and will do what she can to help you succeed. Make sure to go to the meetings because they are worth a lot of points.
If you do the research requirement (do it early it does not take that long) then this class is a breeze. The essay grading is super relaxed, and the chapters were actually really interesting. This was a nice intro to psychology, and an easy A if you just show up to class and do the work. No extra studying really required.
This class is great for what it was. I would highly recommend this class to anyone who needs an A to boost their GPA but doesn't want to put in a lot of work to achieve it. The class is primarily online with a biweekly in-class section. Just go to the sessions and take the online quizzes and you will have your A.
The hybrid Psy150 course was insanely easy. There are weekly assignments online, 4 papers, and 4 exams which are all online. Professor Bianchi's grading is super easy its almost impossible not to get an A.
The hybrid course is extremely easy and a easy way to help your gpa. You meet seven times and receive extra credit for attending all seven classes. There are four papers which are all easy and very self-explainable. Theres also four exams that are online and not proctored as well as open book.
Professor Bianchi is an amazing professor. I've taken two of her classes and they both have been interesting and super easy. As long as you put in the work it's an easy A. She is super caring and wants all of her students to do well and pass so don't be afraid to ask her any questions or get help on your assignments!
The class was definitely a lot of work, but that was because it was only a 7.5-week course. The class is easy though if you do the work and study. I do recommend the textbook because although I didn't read the chapters, it was super useful for the vocab. Bianchi did well in teaching and providing info with it be an online science course. Loved it!
Mandatory attendance because its a hybrid and you only meet every other week. There a 3 essays that are simple 2 page double space. Online homework is due every Sunday which doesnt take long. Exams are online and open book/note. Fun gen ed and can give you time to focus on your other classes, I fully recommend. Take this class!
This class is interesting and fun. As long as you go to class and do the assignments youll pass. Theres a lot of extra credit for students who dont miss a class. You meet every other week because its a hybrid course. Start the research experience early and get it done, so its out the way early.
I loved this online/hybrid course. So easy to complete every week online. An easy A. Professor is SO NICE and emails back super quickly if you have questions. The in-class meetings were actually fun to attend and they weren't boring. She also gives a good chunk of extra credit if you attend all meetings.
She is a great professor at the University of Arizona, rare!! Had her for a gen ed class and not only was she a great teacher but she really enjoyed teaching others!
She taught the material in a simple way even for such a complex subject. She also provided a lot of material to help studying for the exams that helped a lot!
Lectures were mandatory but very insightful. Most on the work done online including test and finals. Course work was easy. Research study was easy as well but time consuming. I recommend getting it done as soon as you can
Her class is set up very well and its very easy to pass.
Really enjoyed her lectures (even though they too closely mirrored the book), and the workload was fair. The only major problem is that there were errors throughout all of the quiz questions. That's not her fault, though: she just uses the pre-populated quiz questions. More care from the entire Psychology department about that would be good.
Dr. Bianchi was an amazing professor. The material was challenging personally but she did everything to mke sure it was understood by the class. Exams were through examity and along with weekly quizzes, you were givne two attempts. She even had videos of her going through the lectures that I found very helpful. Would definitely take her again!
I took this class as a hybrid, and we met seven times over the semester. Dr. Bianchi was very thorough in all of the information given to us, and explained the chapters very well. It is best to attend the lectures because you will get a lot of help from her as to how to write the essays.
I took the hybrid class and theres 7 bi-weekly meetings that only last 50 mins. All the online homework is on quizlet. 4 exams but theyre on D2L so you can find things online. 3 essays that you can easily get 100s on if you pay attention to the rubric, easy A would take again
Because I took 230 with Bianchi I now signed up to take a few more of my psych classes with her this coming semester. She is great and her course work is straight forward do what is asked and you will get the grade you want. She lets you take tests two times if you do not like your original score. There is a semester project but it is not hard.
Definitely a lot of work in the online course, but you can find most of the textbook "quiz" answers on Quizlet. Tons of textbook reading. Lots of busy work in the Learning 2 Learn module especially, and she's not forgiving at all if you miss an assignment. The papers are insanely easy if you understand the basic format of an essay.
Bianchi is an amazing professor. PSY150 was an online course already but with the class discussions every other week online, she did a great job with the videos. Video assignments arent too hard, a couple papers throughout the semester, 4 exams, chapter assignments every week. Overall a very easy course and would 10/10 recommend.
Bianchi is passionate about psychology and has clear requirements to get an A. The repetitive course structure of reading, taking notes, taking quizzes, and taking exams gets very boring by the end of the semester, but the information is interesting.
She is truly a great psychology professor. All the quizzes you can access through Quizlet and everything you need is on MindTap. The 3-4 essays she gives are actually interesting and enjoyable to type (2 pages, double spaced). Also the videos she provides as lectures are interesting as well. No complaints and would enjoy taking it again :)
She is such a caring professor who wants everyone to succeed. There is SO much work with readings but if you do it, youre guaranteed an A in the class. Theres also a lot of papers but the prompts are super easy so youre good.
This class is pretty chill , professor is really nice and responds to emails fast . It is a lot of reading but not too bad , this class if you focus is definitely an easy A
easy A class. one set of online assignments a week which normally take less than an hour, plus 3 short papers and 4 exams, which are pretty simple if you fill out the study guide. Every other week discussion section with assignment, pretty simple
There are 7 modules, each consist of 2 quizzes and you can take them over as much as you like. You do take each module test on examity and they're cumulative as well as the final, but as long as you retake the module quizzes you will do great. Lots of material provided to study diagrams. Meet deadlines and memorize quiz questions & diagrams!
I'm not great with anatomy but there was a lot of study material that helped me have an A. Unlimited attempts on quizzes, test are cumulative on examity but you have 2 times to take it. There is "Labs" in each module but their small writing assignments on course content. I had a pdf of the book but rarely used, busy work but do able with Bianchi!
I had previously taken Dr. Bianchi for PSY230 and thought she had been pretty chill. Upon taking for PSY300 I completely changed my mind. She provided a course load much heavier than usual. I retook this class with another professor and couldnt believe how much better I grasped the concept, with a fair/ doable amount of work.
Dr. Bianchi is friendly but very formal. The structure is set and the work stacked up. I got a 95 on one paper and a 70 on another and they were written similarly. It wasn't bad but I did not enjoy it as much as I wanted to.
I really enjoyed this class. There were 6 in-person meetings every other week, and the weekly readings and assignments took about an hour max. 3 short papers and 4 exams that are open note. Interesting material, too.
-go to the on campus meetings they're worth a lot -homework is easy -essays are an easy A as long as you do it -online studies for the research requirement are simple -overall a really easy A and a good choice for a 150 gen ed
Dr. Bianchi was a good teacher and her lectures were engaging. This class only met once every other week, but you have to go because you have to turn in the notes you take for credit. The workload was manageable, but quite a lot of reading. She is a fair grader and this class is definitely an easy A (not in a bad way though! I learned a bunch!)
I love Professor Bianchi! Definitely take this class if you need a 150, the homework is easy and interesting, and there was in-person class only 1 day every 2 weeks. The work is very manageable, the only reason I didn't get an A was because I forgot to take an exam and I didn't show up to 3 classes. She is so sweet and cute I love her.
Probably one of the easiest and most straightforward classes I've taken. The class is super manageable, with a lecture, assignment, and quiz for every unit so you know what to expect and are able to keep up as long as you do it every week.Bianchi is also a great professor who is engaging when it comes to the material and is easy on grading
Overall this was not a very difficult class. Dr. Bianchi is a very sweet professor and Id love to have her again.
Dr. Bianchi is passionate about psychology and tries her best to instill that passion in all of her students. She is not the best when it comes to communication/feedback. However, the class is not difficult so long as you do the work in a reasonable time. Don't forget about the research experience as the deadline has screwed multiple people over.
SUper awesome teacher for what was kind of a mediocre subject. Loved her lectures, she was both funny and thorough, and I didn't need tor read the textbook because she was so thorough.
The class was mostly online with a bit of textbook reading, but it was an interactive textbook which made it much better. Dr. Bianchi's lectures were interesting, engaging and delivered well. The class was not too difficult and there was lots of extra credit along the way.
Very easy-- lectures once every two weeks and all assignments were online, including "exams". Total of three papers and very easy to get an A if u do the assignments
She is the sweetest and her class is so interesting! The class has a lot of reading but honestly I never read anything and I still got great grades. Just pay attention to the lectures and youll be fine. Plus she gives lots of extra credit.
Lots of reading and note taking to prepare for the in-person meetings. She's really easy to talk to outside of class and answers all questions thoroughly and kindly. It's a really large class, which she handles well compared to some other lecturers
This is my second online class with Dr.Bianchi and I enjoyed them! The reading is vast and tough but lectures help to solidify the content. She provides a bunch of materials to help seal knowledge and succeed. Easy to reach and I would highly recommend taking her classes.
a few quiz, a assignment, and test a week. you DON'T need to buy the textbook just watch lectures and you will be fine! very easy to email and reach when needed. there is extra credit. overall really good class and would take more with her in the future!
She was amazing, I took PSY 150 hybrid and her lectures were very interesting and the videos were entertaining. Each week, there's a chapter reading due and it honestly not too bad. The quizzes were online and fairly easy if you did the readings and participated in class.
Super easy A. Lots of quizzes and tests but they're all easy. It says in the syllabus that you have to read the textbook to pass the class but I did not read a single word of that book and got 100% in the class. Content was super interesting and she provides lots of study materials.
Very lenient and nice professor. I did the honors course and it was still very easy. Just make sure to attend the in-person meetings and do the assignments for each. She has a lot of office hours where you can go over tests. Also, do not forget the launchpad homework.
Dr. Bianchi is a caring, smart professor who wants to secure the welfare of her students. The class was very easy and straightforward. 2 quizzes and 1 short reflection/activity each week with one exam every other week. I highly recommend reading the textbook and/or other required materials to get the most out of what you're learning!
Prof. Bianchi was the absolute sweetest thing and always cared and gave her best advice when I was in a tough situation class or grade-wise, which helped me succeed. Every homework assignment was super simple and took about 30 minutes, sometimes even a little more. TAKE THIS CLASS IF NEEDED!!!!
She was super nice and understanding of the material. The only difficult part was keeping up with the readings.
Prof. JB was overall a good professor. She was thrown into the class right before it started but she has clear and helpful lectures, extra credit for attending lectures, Q&A days before exams and she only uses 6-8 assignments. This class is definitely quiz heavy as each chapter has a quiz (3 attempts). She drops the lowest exam score (take home)
This is an easy A class. Every assignment, test and quiz is online. Attendance is extra credit.
Pretty easy class, attendance was extra credit
Professor Bianchi was a welcome break in my packed schedule this semester. Most work was conducted online, and the quizzes actually got me to read the textbook. Not a hard class at all, but I did learn quite a bit. In-person lecture attendance for extra credit. Very nice professor :)
Stay away from this course if you cannot attend all meetings, a loved one dies, and you miss assignments or something special happens in which you cannot make up assignments. I couldn't get a round-up of less than .7%. The dept of Psych doesn't allow for special exceptions. I wish I knew this. Other than that, if you have a stable life, you are ok.
This course was made very interesting by Bianchi. She had a great way of moving along the in-person lectures and keeping people engaged. The hybrid format takes some getting used to, but I really enjoyed it and felt I benefitted from it. DONT PUT OFF YOUR EXPERIMENT CREDITS, they are really important! I really loved this teacher and this class!
I had her for both research methods and advanced research methods, the two classes are definitely different in the amount of work you have to do but the research project was super fun
I had taken a class with Dr. B prior to this but I find that this course is one she truly finds passion in. There are a lot of provided resources from the textbook to coloring pages and each week is roughly the same in workload. I spent roughly 2-3 hours each week on notes and find that the notes are crucial for this course. It is VERY test heavy.
The hybrid style is nice and you can front load the course pretty easily. Discussion is pretty boring until the last few lectures/its slow and low level. For the experiment credits if you look at SONA often you can do them all online. Don't forget to check D2L and achieve for assignments.
Dr.Bianchi was one of the best instructors that I have had. The course is hybrid and attendance isn't mandatory but is advised for getting a good grade in the class. All of the work is done online besides the in person sessions where you take notes and hand them in.
Dr. Bianchi is a great teacher. The course was hybrid, with 7 in-person lectures, each with its own assignment, and that's how attendance was counted. Everything else was done on the e-book or D2L. This course had tons of teaching hours posted throughout the week, and Dr. Bianchi always reminded us through email about due dates for assignments.
Was a great class, very accessible for busy students and was organized very well. You get one excused absence, and is very strict on that and one unexcused absence can drop your grade by almost an entire letter so plan accordingly
Had Dr. Bianchi for a separate psych course at PCC a few years back, super thrilled to have her again, this time at the U of A. Her work ethic has remained the same- very informative lectures and does a great job answering any questions. Studying is important and exams/quizzes are frequent, if you're on top of it all you'll do just fine.
I've had Professor Bianchi for PSY150 as well as PSY300, and she has demonstrated in both that she is incredibly knowledgable and thoroughly understands the topics and concepts she teaches. There are a lot of additional resources that she provides for studying, which makes the frequent exams much more bearable.
Dr. Bianchi was great to have for PSY 300 because she is really knowledgeable and makes all content very easy to understand. As long as you go to class you will literally ace every exam, quiz, and assignment.
