Before taking Mrs. Canham's class, I was scared of math. Although it is still not my favorite subject, I am no longer terrified of it. She makes sense of the directions and uses great teaching methods. She demands that students do not disturb the class which I did not find in other classes. Wanna learn math??? Take her class!

Ms. Canham is simply the best math teacher you'll ever have! She is super easy and gives you a good idea about what kind of problems to expect on tests and quizes. Explains everything very well and is willing to help you out with questions on homework. I'd definately recommend taking any of her math classes.

Mrs. Canhamn is a wonderful teacher. She is very clear and concise. If you do not understand something, she will explain it until you do and will not make you feel any less for not getting it right away. A true asset to Chandler-Gilbert Community College.

Excellent instructor. Mrs. Canham knows her math and knows how to teach. If you have any trouble with math, this is the teacher you need because she is kind and explains things so they are clear and easy to understand. You could not find a fairer teacher who actually roots for her students!

Mrs. Canham is a wonderful instructor! She is one of the best explainers of material I have seen. She even told me about different ways students learn (everyone is different) and she cares about you actually learning and retaining the information. She's even gotten awards for low amt. and no students dropping the class <-says something) TAKE HER!!

best instructor. give you test correction after taking each test to earn half credits. That way you'll learn what you did wrong on a math problem and also earn half points for each of the problems you missed to help bring your test scores up. Very helpful instructor! Must take !

VERY good teacher

There was a lot of homework in this class. However there are test corrections which are very helpful--if you can understand the material and do your work a good grade is very possible.

GREAT teacher. I drove past four other colleges just to get her as a teacher, and I'm so glad I did. She helped me actually understand the material, and if anyone needed help then she would address their questions (no matter how silly) without making them feel stupid or singled out. She was always very polite, and all in all, my favorite ever. (:

Good teacher, very nice too. There is homework due every class but she explains the material before and after. She doesn't grade the homework on accuracy, just whether or not you attempted it. You can correct some tests. Very good class, wish she taught my next math class.

Canham is a SOLID teacher, knows how to teach math, what she is talking about etc. The only 2 problems a student will run into in this class is the work involved(which is alot thats her style), that at times she moves a little to fast when talking about the work, which makes it kind of difficult to pass. Overall she is a lovable and solid teacher.

This teacher is by far one of my favorite teachers! She is a fun loving person with a good standard of teaching. Her class is not hard if you pay attention and go to class!

Totally awesome! Extremely helpful and supportive. You can tell she loves what she does. Good control of her classroom. I'm an English major and I normally hate math,I loved it this semester. She's an awesome teacher. Don't cross her though, she's not afraid to rip you up and throw you out! If you're looking for an easy A, you won't find it here.

I commuted 45 min. for this recommended teacher. Math became stress-free, concepts & formulas came alive. Technology & applicable math problems you will encounter in reality are used. Organized teaching in a non-lecture setting. There are strategies behind everything she does, so you grasp the material. The best teacher I think I've ever had.

One of my favorite college teachers by far. She is very helpful and clear on how to do problems. She helped me to understand math better than any other teacher I have had in the past. She takes time to go over homework and lets you do test corrections. Not hard to get an A if you do your homework and ask for help when you need it.

Great teacher! Explains things in multiple ways and she puts learning before anything else. She is easy going and i really recommend her.

I highly recommend this professor. She is helpful and patient with the students. You are likely to get an A or B, even if you aren't very skilled mathematically. There is a lot of homework, but if you complete it, it is very likely that you will pass the course.

Make sure to do every homework assignment, and when in doubt make up an answer. She gives points for simply trying. Math tests are math test, she doesnt try to trick you with questions and always gives you the chance of test corrections. Great teacher.

I high recommend taking Canham. Attending class is very important, take notes, DO all the homework! Also offers test corrections which are life savers if you struggle in math. This is definitely the best math class to take. very friend and enjoys teaching.

Mrs. Canham is THE BEST math teacher I have ever had. She actually uses the book that you pay for, and she explains everything so well. I would take her again in a heart beat. You can use a page of notes on your tests and she allows test corrections. Take her she is awesome!!!!

Mrs. Canham was very organized and structured. She did not accept laziness on the part of her students, but constantly urged and impressed her students with a willingness to study, work, and succeed at trigonometry. She gives you plenty of opportunities to maintain a high, rather easy, grade level. Easily a class I would recommend.

Mrs Canham was a dream math teacher for someone with a math disability. The organization and flow of her teaching style is amazing and wonderful. You will LEARN math in this class and be well prepared for your 141/151 or 187 class. DO the homework, study and participate in class and you will do well. Book required, mathlabs NOT needed but helpful

I failed this level five times before I took her, and I am so glad I did. I learned everything I needed, got an A in the class and definitely got a lot more confidence in math. All my other teachers were awful and belittled my abilities, before I finally realized I was dyslexic. She was excellent, and I excelled in this class. Do the work/attend=A!

Best math teacher I've ever had. wish she taught above 121. This class was the first math class i got an A in since elementary school. She's very helpful and fun.

She really is a great teacher. The tests are just like the quizes and the quizes are just like the homework. You do a bunch of group work for alot of points. If you miss a test question you can redo it for half credit so it is very easy to gain points. Extra credit is given. I got a 100% on the final and ended up with over 100% for the class.

She is the best math instructor I ever had. I hate math and struggled with it but she helped me a lot to understand and pass. Take her!!

Best math teacher I ever had. She really explains all the equations. Test and quiz are bases off the material and you get to use a sheet of notes (very hard to cram all the notes on one sheet though). Too bad she only teaches 121 and below, I would take her again if I could.

I have nothing but good things to say. First if you struggle with math she is the one to help you. Please help yourself, because your the one that ultimatley decides your fate. She is my Favorite all time teacher. Do your homework and your fine.

She was awesome. You get homework every day but only 10-20 questions. You get to use notes on tests. She always went over any questions you had. She nice fun, and very helpful.

She was one of the best math teachers I've had. I HATE math with a passion but she really helped me understand a lot better. I was getting good scores on my test, which usually never happened. She really takes the time to make sure you understand. She is overall a great teacher. I wish she taught higher math classes. I would take her again!

I took her a few years ago but I still remember her. That says something right? She is nice and she knows her stuff. She isnt a particularly strict grader or anything so if you do the work (or make it look like you were trying) you will be fine. I liked her a lot and I wish she taught other math classes.

She was an amazing teacher. I failed the same math class the semester before and took it again with her and got A's on every test and ended the class with a 98%. You get to use notes on the test and the next day you do test corrections which boosts your test grade if you fix the problems you missed. She is an awesome and extremely helpful teacher.

When I made the leap of faith to go back to school after so many years I especially DREADED math! Mrs. Canham however made things so clear and understandable. She loves what she does, and takes time to answer any and all questions, which is great! She will push you to be a great college student, and genuinely wants her students to succeed.

Hands down the best Math teacher at CGCC. Doesn't assign too much homework; just enough for you to understand the subject. She makes it so easy, explaining everything on the test. If you fail this class it would be sad.

She has been my favorite math teacher at cgcc. I'm so glad I picked her for 121. She truly wants her students to succeed. if you can take her class. Mrs. Canham gives you homework and worksheets that are related to everything on quiz's and exams. DO NOT MISS A SINGLE DAY! every point you miss it adds up trust me on that.

She is a great teacher and person, I missed a lot of days of school due to work and she went the extra mile to help me and didn't penalize me for it. As long as I accomplished what she required. I struggle with math severely, and she managed to help me understand it and actually want to learn math.

She is such a sweet lady who made me actually enjoy math, which I never have before. She explains every concept clearly and is extremely helpful and will answer your questions if you have any. If you pay attention and do your homework you will get through the class with no problems! I highly reccommend her as your teacher!

Coolest teacher to have! Conceder yourself lucky to have her. She gives you plenty of opportunities for extra credit. Had to have been my easiest class here. Super sweet, all you have to do to ace this class is term your stuff in.

Mrs. Canham is a really good instructor. I missed three classes and still managed to get a B for the semester. There are a lot of group projects but as long as you sit with the right people you're guarantee to pass. Tests aren't hard and she gives only one extra credit assignment. I would recommend her if you need MAT121.

I'm in her class right now. She is the best instructor I've had so far in college. She makes me understand math and is super helpful when she explains it. I couldn't ask for a better teacher. I wish I had her for every class. I could go on alday about how great she is.

She was great. She explains everything very well and even though there are quite a bit of tests she makes it easier for you. Even if you miss some days she will save the work for you, making up work and catching up is easy with her.

This lady is awesome. First time I've ever understood math. She does test corrections and goes over the homework before you turn it in so it's really hard to do badly in this class. She sends stuff to you to help you with your administration, too. It's obvious she wants students to succeed.

Mrs. Canham is a very sweet woman and a great professor. She explains things in multiple ways so that she can reach students who have different learning styles. If you are respectful to her, she will be respectful to you. She allows one page of handwritten notes on tests and quizzes and also allows you to do test corrections for half the points.

Mrs. Canham is an incredibly sweet teacher. She lectures through most of class, but is willing to answer questions until everyone gets it and everyone. Every activity she does has a purpose and it's always with the intention of making sure you gain a better understanding. Her tests are open note and she does retakes for half credit on every test.

Ms Canham is very good at what she does and explains everything in good detail. I personally have a little more of a difficult time catching on to new things, but didn't have any issues whatsoever taking this class. She is always more than happy to answer any questions you have during class. I highly recommend taking this class.

Mrs. Canham was excellent! I wish I could take her for all of my math courses! She makes mathematical concepts easy to understand. Tests were easy, and homework isn't too difficult you just need to do it and turn it in on time. FAVORITE MATH TEACHER!

Very good instructor if you need to complete intermediate Algebra. Just show and and do your homework. Make sure to remember (after she shows you) the proper steps to make a graph on a calculator and analyze it. Do your homework and you should be able to pass.

Recommend! 100/10 I have always been a C first semester and D second semester type student, until this semester, i got a 95%!! No purchasing of book!Her class is SO well organized. Gives helpful notes. Gives you the tools you need to get good grades. There is hw, quizzes and tests like all math classes. I wish she could teach higher level classes.

I loved Mrs. Canham so much! I am a lazy student and usually prefer laid-back teachers however she was not and yet she is still my favorite professor. She is the most fair teacher I have ever had, and was soooo motivational and helpful. I highly recommend!!

I took her class years ago, after failing numerous math classes. I hated math, and thought I was stupid. This professor was incredible, and inspired me so much. She was the first person who helped me understand math and even enjoy it! I ended up becoming an accountant, which never would have happened without her. So thankful for her and her impact!
