Homework isn't mandatory, but she does give daily quizzes being identical to the homework. She gives you the answers most of the time. Overall the best math professor I've taken, explains everything clearly and is there for help when you need it! Also takes attendance for points so don't plan on not going.

She is a must-take professor! Be sure to print out lecture outlines that she provides on moodle to ensure that you keep up with the notes and to stay organized. Her lectures are extremely clear and she's super engaged with a sarcastic sense of humor. The tests are 50% of your grade but she gives a practice exam that is basically identical. Easy A-B

Mrs. Linker is the best math professor at UNCC! She will help you in any way possible and it very nice and respectable. The homework is optional, but very helpful in preparing for the exams. There are daily quizzed which are also how she takes attendance. The tests are never hard and she typically gives a curve. 10/10 would recommend!

She is so awesome. She is hilarious and the class is so easy. She really explained it in a way that made me understand Calculus. She does interactive quizzes during class which really help out! She has 5 tests plus final but it is way nicer because there is less material on tests.

Even though attendance isn't technically mandatory, effort towards "group work" is a portion of your grade and basically counts as an attendance grade. Wish she taught an online section because seriously her materials are so good that you could teach yourself the course using what she's provided.

I love love love Linker. I took calculus once with a Russian professor who supposedly had good reviews (idk how) and I failed because he wrote on a chalkboard and mumbled and didn't care. I took Linker and passed with an A. She cares so much about her students and actually makes calculus something easy to learn. She deserves nothing but praise!

I've taken Linker for both STAT 1220 and CALC 1120 and got an A+ in both. Hands down the best math teacher I've ever had! Ms. Linker gets to know all of her students' names (even in an 80 person lecture class). She genuinely cares about the success of her students and will adjust course materials/tests based on how her students are doing.

She is such an amazing professor! I took her class, MATH 1120 (Business Calculus) during the first semester of my freshman year. Although I initially didn't fee well about taking a math class, all my fears were dissolved very soon. Mrs. Linker is an extremely gifted instructor, and a kind person, too! Highly recommended for Intro to Stats. She goes fast but delivers the material in an easy-to-understand way and fully explains the objectives. For many reasons, it is in your best interest to attend every class. I also recommend forming study groups that meet regularly to tackle the material. With hard work and diligence, you will make an A.

I have never had a more caring professor than Linker during my 4 years at UNCC. She will respond to any email you send her and is more than happy to help. If you have the chance to take her, you are the lucky one. One of the reasons I got my math major is because of the way she taught calc 1.

She has a printout on Canvas every semester that you should print out and bring to class with you. She'll walk you through every problem in the printout and that's basically what the exam will be. Never did a single homework problem and I got relatively easy A.

She was an amazing STATS professor. She made sure you understood the material and even had study guides for the test and final exam. If you show up to all the classes, pay attention and participate, this should be an easy B or A.

Dr. Linker is THE. BEST. PROFESSOR. AT. UNCC. Goes through guided notes every class slowly so that everyone can understand. Make sure you do the test review on Canvas before every test, it is extremely similar to the actual tests. It was the first class I've had that I actually wanted to show up even though I thought it was slow. She was that good.

I was really nervous to take statistics because I suck at math. Linker makes the class so easy to understand and is super helpful. She is funny and understanding. She teaches stats in a modern way that is in my opinion, much easier than learning the traditional way. We used excel a lot and it was quite easy. You do have to do work but it's doable.

There is a lot of homework (only because it is statistics lol) but I seriously could not recommend her more! I don't like statistics (at all) but I loved the way she taught this class!

AMAZING! We used RealizeIt for this class which was a bit of a pain at times but she made the class simple and straightforward. Explained things clearly and was VERY helpful. I would take her again for sure! The content could get difficult if you slack off, but as long as you are on top of it you can pass with a good grade.

There is sometimes a lot of homework, but she gives plenty of time to do all of it! I got a 95% with barely any effort. Let us have a formula sheet on each exam and three formula sheets on the final! If you can take her for stat, even if it's at 8:30 in the morning, I recommend it!

I can not recommend Linker enough. You have weekly homework, practice tests and group projects on Thursdays. You have the chance to do homework as many times to get a 100. So the only things that affect your grade are tests and final. She allows 1 cheat sheet handwritten/typed on all tests as well as all previous cheat sheets for final. Take her!!!

Linker is a very good math professor and really understands the material. The homework can take a while some weeks but none of its too hard and the tests are basically the same as the practice tests so if you understand those you will be fine.

One of the best if not the best prof. I've had. Realize-it is time-consuming, but if you watch the videos while doing the modules, you can get it done in time only took an hour at most to study for tests by just doing and reviewing the practice exams and got a 100 on all of them you get an extra point to your test grade if you do the practice exams

I came in with very weak foundations and she was able to help me get caught up and eventually have confidence in the course. She is very accessible during her office hours or by email and she has many online videos to help with every topic covered in class.

Great calc professor, as someone who is not good at math I actually really grasped calc because of this professor.

I struggled with math tremendously up until Professor Linker's class. She explains things clearly and the tests are the only grades where you aren't almost guaranteed a 100. I will say she has a tendency to talk fast during her lectures, but if you point that out to her then she'll make an effort to slow down. Overall an amazing professor.

Awesome professor to have if you need to learn precalc! I am a transfer student so I have taken calc already but since my credits did not transfer, I had to start over again and by this time, I have forgotten all of precalc but she made it super easy to understand and homeworks/quizzes are not too difficult if you pay attention during lectures.

class is straightforward for calc 1, but fast paced. not too much homework. she explains material during lectures but i found i had to go back and teach myself most of the work. gives plenty of review for tests which is a plus.

Amazing professor! The criteria taught in this class moves at a pretty fast pace, so I would pay close attention and attend class accordingly so you don't miss a beat. Other than that, her teaching style has helped me tremendously and she cares a lot about her students so don't be afraid to ask questions and connect with her!

Professor Linker is super helpful and makes the material easy to understand. She offers lots of opportunities to boost your grade and is always willing to provide extra support. unstuck ai was a great study tool alongside the practice exams. Definitely worth taking her class!

Absolute best professor I have ever taken. I entered Calculus having not taken a math class in a long time, and she went out of her way to help me gather the foundations I needed but was missing. She is super responsive to the needs of the class and is a very fair grader. I hated math, and she has me about to switch out of my major to study it.

Professor Linker is AMAZING at teaching, especially for someone who's not fond of math. She is very keen on your success and accessible. As long as you keep up with pre-class videos, homework, and class lectures, you will learn the material well enough to pass the class. Homework is a large part of your grade but it's very possible to get 100 on it

I liked how she would go through the book with you and I also liked that she posted videos for extra help.

She's easygoing, great personality, will help you when you need it. Calc is hard but she teaches in a way that makes it easy to learn.

One of THE BEST professors I've had. She offered more than 5 extra credit opportunities and will increase a low test grade as if you show great progress. She gives a lot of homework and quizzes online so test grades don't have a great impact on your grade. My first test grade was a 59. She's very kind, personable, and really wants you to succeed.

Professor Linker was an outstanding professor! As someone who struggles with math, she made things very easy to understand. There are multiple homework assignments due weekly, but they aren't terrible. Actually watch the pre-class videos before class; it will make such a difference in class. You can tell she cares about making the class better.

She is an amazing and easygoing professor. She explains topics very well and will take the time to answer any questions during class.

I took Calc 1120 with professor Linker and she was great! The class had 3 tests and a final. There is a lot of homework but almost all of it is online on Hawkes. There is also a few 3 to 6 extra credit opportunities during the semester so take advantage of those.

Very nice and helpful professor. Her lectures are clear and easy to understand. There's one or two assignments per week through an online system, which isn't too bad.

I recommend taking her class. I'm taking it this Fall, 2025. She's a good teacher overall, but her teaching style was a bit harsh. If you have a strong foundation, like from College Allgebra, you will ACE with her class easily.

One of the best college professors you will ever have. She cares very much about her students, and sets them up for success. Tests are very straight-forward and similar to practice tests. If you struggle with math, there are a lot of resources and chances to improve your grade outside of just your test grades.

If you don't know anything about calc, she's gonna be your saviour. It's really hard to fail her class tbh. Her teaching style is amazing. She makes 8 am worthy!!

I hate math. I have never been good at it. Professor Linker made it easy to understand and was so helpful during and outside of class. I also had a fantastic TA. I absolutely adore her and she genuinely wants you to succeed. I also recommend going to the math learning center if you know you struggle with math. This certainly helped me.

Super sweet and really easy. It was my fault for not paying attention much during class or taking out of class notes, but gives great extra credit which is super easy and very often. SAVED MY GPA!!!

I loved professor Linker's lectures. They were fun and easy to understand. Attendance is mandatory however the deadline for homework is more of a suggestion and will not lower your grade for submitting work late. Prepare to study a lot. Her tests can be difficult but nothing she hasn't already shown in class before.

Professor Linker was amazing! She takes the time to know her students even in a lecture of 150 people! She also wants you to pass the class and is always very encouraging of any questions you might have. I was nervous about taking calculus but professor Linker made it easy. Take her class if you can!!

She is absolutely amazing! I would definitely recommend her as a calc teacher. If you're wanting to succeed in her class do the homework, show up to class, and do the practice problems she gives you. She's great at teaching and going to her lectures will definitely help you understand what you're learning. Go to office hours if ever lost/confused.

As others have mentioned, she is amazing!! Very easy to understand and there were extra credit ever so often. Attendance is taken, but is not a very big grade.

Genuinely amazing professor

Although there is a lot of homework, they are fairly easy and you can be done with all of it within 1.5 hours. The lectures are so helpful, she works out all the problems in our guided notes and she will stop and help you figure it out if you ask. She gives plenty of practice problems to go over to study before a test. She also does practice tests.

10/10 best math teacher i have ever had, super understanding if you fall behind, also gives many opportunities to boost your grade throughout the semester.

She is an amazing calculus professor. She is so easy to speak to if or when you need help. She will easily move a homework/quiz due date further back if needed. The class itself is not easy material, but if you have Linker, you should succeed. S/N there will be a lot of homework due each week.

I loveeddd this class, she made it soooo easy to me. I never found math that easy until I took calculus with her. She broke it down and explained things very clearly. Attendance is averaged so missing class will drop your grade by not much. The textbook is the physical one that has our homework in it. She's also fun, not too serious!

very easygoing. let's you retake your lowest test at the end of the semester if you're attendance isn't too crazy. The extra credit is really easy, but once it closes it closes so I would recommend doing them. You get homework -10pts everyday its late until the 3rd day so you can't get worse than a 70 and test are way easier than hw/class work

This professor was overall pretty good. I really can't say anything bad about her. She gave good lectures and many good examples of how to do the different concepts. The main advice I'd give is don't skip class. If you aren't in class and aren't good at math, you will do poorly. She is extremely helpful and will do her best to make you succeed.

All you need to know about Ms.Linker is that she is an amazing teacher. She so genuine and respectful. She makes time for you for extra practice too. Just do your work, learn the material, and pay attention in class. There's extra credit opportunities, but no curve or notes on the final exam. You can retake1 test though!

She is such an incredible professor. Not only is she really caring but she really explains things in a way that makes it easy to understand. The majority of the work is on Hawkes and she offers a lot of extra credit throughout the semester. I really recommend if you have questions to ask her, she is funny and relaxed and will help you.

One of, if not the best, math instructors I've ever had. Very, very outgoing personality, and you can tell she loves what she does. Plenty of extra credit opportunities and occasional in-class review sessions. My only advice would be to actually watch the pre-class videos; she goes over the basics and then goes over the harder stuff in class.

One of the best professors I have ever had. I was super nervous to take calculus because of horror stories I have heard but I thrived with her. She truly cares about you and wants to see you succeed. I hate math but enjoyed learning from her. If you need to take calculus, TAKE IT WITH HER AND HER ONLY!!!!!!

Professor Linker is the GOAT. she does a great job of explaining complex topics. She cares about you and so if you are confused, you can ask and she will slow down and explain it again. She is the best. TAKE HER

She's absolutely amazing. I have nothing negative to say about her. I'm not one to be good at math but as long as you go to class and pay attention you will be great. Always practice she gives plenty of opportunities. I always knew what was coming. Also the amount of extra credit she gives is amazing. Easy A if you study !
