Professor Morgan is a great teacher. However, you do have to do all of your work and study. Not an easy A, but very helpful. I really learned grammer very well from her. I enjoyed her class.

Mrs. Morgan can be extremely helpful if you sincerely want to learn but you'll have to make a great effort on your part. She is very firm, sometimes to the point of being genuinely unfair, so make certain to stay on top of deadlines and material if you take her! Her tests are absurdly difficult. She is especially good with online classes.
I liked her class. First online course that I ever took. I learned a lot and she gives you enough extra credit that if you're willing to make the effort you can make a decent grade. The only thing I didn't care for was the last minute writing partners that you sometimes got. That had nothing to do with the teacher though
If you do what you are suppose to and do not wait until the last minute you will pass her class. One of the only proff. that goes by her syllabus day after day so you know exactly what is due, and when. Keep your portfolio in order. I learned so much from her. I was interested in going to her class everyday. Would take her again!!!! Worth the $$$
Did not meet her in person, but took her online liked her class and made a B in it. I also took this during the summer and I thought it was not that bad. You will need to do you essays or course and study for her grammar test because they are hard and she also gives extra credit.
Good teacher. She has hard, and I mean hard, tests, but offers a lot of extra credit. She is very clear about her expectations of her students. There is a timeline laid out at the beginning of class and it is followed very closely. Just do your work and turn it in on time. Easy as that. Will not accept late work, but why should she?
I took her online and I though she was very easy. You must turn things in on time since she is not flexible. The syllabus is to the tee so just follow the dates and you will be fine. If you do what you are supposed to do you will get a high b or an A. I took her twice and got an A both times.
I took her online class. Stay focused with the syllabus and the due dates. She is a little hard about you must be on time with your work. Breaking up into teams was not bad. Our team would meet at starbucks. You make new friends and English becomes more fun. She offers extra credit which will help those who do not enjoy English. Overall,Excellent!
My easiest class this semester. Taught grammar from the Bedford while making it clear, not redundant. Just do the journals, and be in class for essay editing sessions. I'd recommend her for anyone with an open mind and a positive attitude. I'm taking her again next semester for ENC 1102
If you rely upon flexible due dates, this teacher is not for you. She strictly adheres to due dates, NO EXCEPTIONS.
I took her for comp 1 and 2 and it was my favorite class for both semesters. she does have a very strict schedule, but it's necessary to keep everyone in check. research papers are not hard if you follow her due dates and ask questions if you're unsure. don't be ignorant or oblivious in lecture and it should be the easiest class.
I took her online. Very strict. Does not deviate from the syllabus at all. Unwilling to make exeptions regardless of situation (i.e. death of a family member). Whenever I emailed her, it took several days for a reply. I have taken 120+ credits, including an RN nursing degree and have maintained >3.8GPA, and I was forced to withdraw this class.

Professor Morgan gives ample time for Essays, she is very available to help, and the workload is not too intense, if you plan properly. She accepts NO late work, so planning is essential. Overall, a fantastic teacher.
Took this professor online - very unhelpful, sarcastic in her reponses to students when they ask questions and does not deviate from the schedule regardless of the situation. I made a B in this class but I put up with a lot and worked my butt off for it. If you have to take this class online, I highly suggest Prof. Bernstein otherwise try FCCJ.
This was a very intense online class. There is a lot of work and she is very strict on due dates. She is only available for a few hrs a day in the am and then you wait until the nxt bus. day to get a reply. There are group projects and 3 of the 5 in our group dropped the class. A 10 pg research paper and a presentation via video is required.
I personally didn't care for her. She is extremely nit- picky on EVERYTHING. Anytime you think you have written a good essay, think again. She will always have something that she finds wrong with it. She came across very sarcastic in her comments. I felt that if you needed help, she expected you to know. I wouldn't recommend her.
She is the worst teacher I have ever had.I took online Intro to Lit and I have NEVER had such a picky, heartless, rude teacher who never wants to help her students. I am shocked by how cold-hearted and ruthless she is!I wish I had taken a better teacher. She only grades grammar on LONG and thought-out literary essays!Never compliments good work!
She was by far the worst teacher I have had yet. She came off very rude and did not care about her students. She dosen't explain how she wants things done at all. We had to be in groups and my whole group dropped out. That shows what kind of teacher she is.

I have never had so much trouble getting an A! I was in honors and want to major in English and there is nothing that is good enough for this lady. I take hours and hours to write great papers and she finds the STUPIDEST thing wrong with it to bring it down to a B. I have never been so frustrated and tried so hard with no results!AVOID HER CLASS!!!
Wow! Seriously? I was excited about this class until I realized Morgan is making me hate literature. This class is so depressing. Not what I expected. I wonder, if I did not try so hard maybe I would get a better grade. She writes the worst haiku ever. Is she threatened by me? She never has anything good to say. Never encourages or compliments. :(
WOW! she is really tough and sometimes really rude. I wouldn't take her. The tests are hard and the essays she grades! she grades on everything! and isn't very helpful. I wouldn't take her!

AVOID! I was super excited about this class. But she is the worst teacher I have ever had. No matter how much time I would spend writing my research papers, which I had my English major friends help with.. I didn't get more than a 60. She is Rude and rarely responses to messages. Absolutely horrible. I have to retake it with a better teacher now :
I know everyone hates her but I took her online and I thought she was great. You cannot be afraid to ask questions. At first I felt overwhelmed and didn't understand but I emailed her several times and she was very helpful. Even let me email her a rough draft of my essay for her to critique. I found once I figured out what she wanted it was easy.
This was a tough class. Grading scale is very strict when you do this class online. I was in honors throughout high school and managed to finish with a B. However, I know there were a lot of people with c's and d's. If you value your GPA, I wouldn't recommend taking her online class. If you are up for a challenge, Good Luck!
Oh my god! I thought english was easy. She makes it so tough. If you miss the first essay you are basically screwed.
Prof.Morgan is tough, but her high expectations are not unreasonable. Very firm with deadlines; your future employer will be, too. Plan out your homework & study schedule. Her tests are tough. She is not a warm & fuzzy person, but is willing to give help IF YOU ASK. I learned a lot of valuable information in her on-line class.

Professor Morgan is very strict but fair. All deadlines must be met; however, she provides this information on the first day.I do not like English, but I did well in this class.
I took her online class during the summer. This class was ver difficult. I like english, but she was way to hard. I missed the first essay assignment and from then on out I was doomed. If you miss the first assignment you can't do the rest!
Took her for comp 2 and I was really scared my first class because she lays down the law! She will love you as long as you do the work! Also ask questions the research paper is all about detail so don't worry about asking to many! I also took LIT online it was really easy! she is a fair teacher! <3 her!
Very strict if you miss it forget it she wont pass you and even if your post was an A she will still give u and F Becareful I wish I knew this beforehand I would of drop the class. Very demanding for an online class.
Very very strict and she never forgive. I have never stressed out for any other class like this.
Coursework is too demanding for 6wks. Unforgiving of personal issues under any circumstances. Does NOT respond to email quickly, and has nothing constructive to post in discussion topics or in the feedback on assignments. Grades unfairly, based on grammar, when her own lecture notes have glaring mechanical errors and misspelled words. Not Good!!!
Coursework is ridiculous! She gives an astronomical amount of homework. She will give you a week to complete 13 worksheet packets (at least 20 questions per worksheet), write a journal entry, study for a test, and to complete an essay! It is hard to get over a “C” on anything, and I had a 4.0 GPA last semester.
This is a teacher that gives a lot of work. She sticks with the syllabus and due dates(no exceptions)Do the work and you can make a decent grade and pass.I received a b in her class and that was because of the grammar section of the course.I have learned a lot because of all the work involved in her class.I can now write better essays than before.
Mediocre experience. Work wasn't too difficult, but lots of it. Expects you to keep up with the syllabus and due dates,will not remind you in class. Homework or reading assignments every class.

strict to syllabus. do the work=A. The big paper takes time and effort, but is not hard-just time consuming. once you finish the paper its movies.

I wouldn't describe her as a "people person", that's for sure. She struggles to explain exactly what she wants, then takes it out on the class when students struggle to understand her. I hope she finds a career that suits her, because she isn't a good teacher.
Professor Morgan is an instructor who expects her students to act like adults. She does not accept late work, but she will help out any way she can. She wants you to work to your fullest potential. I took this class online, but also took the time to go see her during office hours. She helped me out when I needed it and gave me the support to excel
This lady has been teaching for many years and does not want to hear excuses. She does not appreciate repeating herself. She is better at lecturing than at answering questions. She does not entertain questions that are not directly related to that day's lesson, even after class. Strict to syllabus. She writes her own prompts, and they're awful.

I took Professor Morgan for two classes. One online and one in the classroom. I knew what to expect when I had her for LIT2000. She is tough but fair with students. She had high expectations for students and she was straight to the point with assignments and classwork. I guess I can understand her ways of teaching since I am 45 years old.
As a person majoring in English, I found her to be a nice professor and I did well in her class, but I definitely recommend you have a strong foundation in English when taking her classes as it makes the course a little easier.

This teacher is horrible. I took her online LIT class and it was a big mistake. She doesn't explain her assignments that well and you can't email her directly you have to post in the discussion board and she gives horrible feedback and expects you to know how to do stuff already. My class had lots of issues with her.

Her assignments are confusing ! She likes everything turned into Smart Thinking, Blackboard, and learning curve. Computer ! Computer ! Computer ! As far as personality, she is cheery. But her test are dreary. My G.P.A. is headed for the guillotine. I am still in her class..... Those who pray; pray for me !
The papers are alright, as long as you can write decently you will get good grades on them. Grammar tests are awful, she gives a easy practice test and then the actual test is several times harder. Assignments are across BlackBoard, Discussions, Bedford Online, SmartThinking, and TurnItIn. LOTS of assignments and LOTS of books.
Assignments are spread over around 4 different websites, even if you are in class with her. And she's not very clear on what needs to be done in each assignment. But she is very good about getting grades in fairly quickly.
This professor is easily the worst I've had up-to-date. Don't expect passing the class if you miss a single assignment. You will never have any break time with this coursework. Not only does she give insane amounts of (not very relevant) work, you're not able to contact her easily. I'm withdrawing from this class so I can take a better one.

I took Professor Morgan my first semester of college and while I am majoring in the classes she teaches, and ended up doing well in her class, she is wonderful for people who are geniuses in English.
Do not take a class with this teacher. Have to write 2 papers and she is not clear with the directions. Group work sometimes. A lot of very unnecessary homework. There are only 2 tests- the midterm and final. Expect to read the whole semester
She's good at explaining things when asked but you're pretty much teaching yourself off of the BedFord handbook. She's nice and all but a bit unorganized. I wouldn't recommend her if you aren't already good in grammar. Be prepared to write A LOT of essays and pointless work. This class is very time consuming, so much unnecessary work.
I took Professor Morgan for American Literature I thoroughly enjoyed the class. Professor Morgan does ask us to post online for help but, I fully understand the reasoning, often many of us have the same question. However, she was very helpful anytime I called or went by her office. Do all of your homework, but there are many grade opportunities.
So much work. It's almost as if she doesn't take into consideration that some students are working full time AND this isn't the only class they're taking. I almost dropped, but I was too deep into the assignments to back-out. DON'T TAKE THIS PROFESSOR if you have a life.

I have taken multiple English classes before and none of them required the amount of work she did. She gave such a broad area for the final it was almost impossible to prepare for.
I WISH I would have done my research on this instructor before I signed up for her class. She was the most impossible, condescending instructor I have ever encountered. This wasn't my first time taking an English class and I am an "A" student and will be getting a "C". Ive never taken an online class with 100+ help posts. Workload UNREALISTIC!
Unrealistic deadlines for an online class. This was a very heavy work load and I'm upset I missed the drop date and had to endure it until the end.
This is the second class I have taken from Professor Morgan. Professor Morgan is looking for very specific things in your writing. If you follow the instructions like she asks you will do fine. It is a lot of reading and writing. My biggest complaint is the lack of feedback. Slow grader!!!!!!
Do not recommend this professor. Although it was organized and she gave us calendar and due dates, she is late with grading and grades her own way-to me unfair. This is the third time she has give me 0 for assignments I have turned in, when contacted she fails to answer back or takes years. TAKE ANOTHER PROFESSOR PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF SOME SANITY!!!
Definitely never taking a class with this professor again. Online class was very unorganized. Assignments were not numbered correctly and went missing before due dates. Help forum was always full of questions, often that were not answered for a few days. Due dates were not clear. Essays instructions were often a full page of details to be included
American Literature I online "mini-mester". I'm a good student and a hard worker but wow this class was way too much work, even for a short class. Discussion boards, papers, quizzes, tests, all require too much. If you dare to take this professor, make sure you have plenty of free time and love to read and write.
I have never had a bad grade in my life. I've always been a straight A student and yet with this class, I was failing. I took Comp. 1 online and had Ms Morgan as my professor. Her directions for the work she would assign was unclear and difficult to follow and take weeks before she addressed my question. She is unresponsive, difficult, & unorganize
Online she organizes in modules and you can't see anything until you get there. There are 2-4 assignments a week and generally, 2/3 of them include some reading. For workshops, the due date is usually missing and isn't where she claims. She's unorganized and I really dislike the way she laid out the class, I don't recommend her for online at all
A lot of homework. It is expected that you read almost your entire textbook. Expect to write a lot. Do not recommend as a professor. She grades assignments about a month after they are turned in.
While Professor Morgan is a sweet woman, her lack of organization and clarity was apparent in the first few weeks of classes. She was constantly behind in grading assignments and was never on track with the course and keeping up with her own syllabus. As a result, I am struggling very much in another course because she did not teach well.
Before submitting essays, we would submit them to a tutor for review on Tutor .com. The tutors always commented that I had a solid essay, so I would confidently turn it in. However, Professor Morgan always managed to take off points for things that no Tutor or anyone else ever had a problem with. She was nice enough but way too harsh of a grader.
This professor gives out a lot of work and requires a lot of little things. I do not recommend taking this professor for a 7 week course.
She is not clear with textbook work. If you take her classes make sure you check in the external websites due dates she doesnt put that much in canvas. Her grading criteria fluctuates. She is not helpful, classes are repetitive and she is not that accessible outside of class so be prepared to wait several days for a responses.
I loved having this prof. The reading material was pretty heavy but come on y'all it's an English class, you're not really gonna get out of reading entirely. She kept me engaged and interested and as long as you pay attention in class you really don't have to read it word for word, you just need a general understanding of the readings.
Writing is hard enough but she has some academic template you have to follow for every post that makes it annoying and then you have to post replies to classmates and even that has a word count that equal to the essay. I was devasted to hear im stuck in this class and i dont even need it
About "Professor" Morgan. She had worse attendance than any student and rarely warned any of us. None of her lectures related to graded assignments. Everything in class was busy work. She never gave feedback on work; graded with no explanation. Gave us two finals to be done outside class and were timed with the material being given after starting.
