Good teacher. She is not a tough teacher, but does make you work for your grade. Just keep up with the lectures/notes and you should do fine. Do not fall behind! She is a fair grader, too.

She's a very clear and helpful teacher who I had for 131, 203, and 204. Tests are easy as long as you understand the material. However, the level that Chem is taught at Moraine will leave you "dead in the wind" if you take MCAT, PCAT, DAT.

I had this professor for an online Chemistry, and she was very helpful. Anytime I had a question, she was very responsive and was always there for me! I would even contact her via out the day, and she would always call me right back with ways explaining the problems. I started off rocky, but recieved a "b" in her class.

she was extremely helpful - i took the online course and she helped me almost every day during her office hours because i had trouble understanding the material. she was a great teacher & i would definitely take her again.

Once you really get to know this teacher, she is really as nice as you think. She always got mad b/c a student always corrected her. Also, once she makes a decision for something, she doesn't change it. Very uncaring when you're in time of need. Yes she taught well, but no heart!

I loved Mrs. Christensen. She was the nicest teacher I've ever had. She is very smart, caring, gives you easy take-home quizes to help your grade, extremely helpful, responds to emails quickly... I cannot think about one aspect that I did not like about her class. She has a great personality. I would recommend her class to everybody.

She's an awesome professor! I had her for Chm 203 and 204 and I loved it! Not only is she a professor, but she becomes your friend too. She explains things very well and wants you to understand. Trust me if you study the material, ask her questions and put effort into it you can get anywhere between an A or a B in ORGANIC CHEMISTRY!

I had her for both organic chem classes, and she makes the class pretty easy. She's very nice and always goes over things enough so that everyone understands. She tells you everything you need to know for each exam, so just make sure you know those things and you're good to go. The labs can be tedious, but they're easy points. Almost never any HW.

She is a good teacher. This was an online course so you really have to rely on the book. If you need help (which I frequently did), go to her office hours and you'll get it and then some. Doesn't always respond to email but that is because Moraine's emails system literally eats them as spam. I would recommend her.

She is always there to help you when you need it. She makes class interesting, and fun. She is always doing what she can to make orgainc easier for her class. She gives out practice tests/quizzes, and objectives to be sure you know exactly what to expect for the test and quiz. She is ALWAYS there to help you during a lab and her office hours!!!

All you have to do is keeep up with the work and do the work she gives you days before the test. Test number 3 is the hardest so prepare for it. Labs are exteremly easy.

Professor Christensen was very helpful and responded quickly to my concerns. The online summer course is very intense but that is because you are cramming 17 weeks into 8. Professor Christensen was very attentive and professional. I would recommend her but you have to do your part and be prepared to work hard and study.

Best teacher I have ever had in my entire life. I took her for 203 in the spring and 204 over the summer. I constantly find myself comparing my teachers to her and none ever measure up. She is absolutely hilarious and a chemistry genius! Don't forget "Experiment with Chemists!"

Best teacher EVER at Moraine! I was sad to graduate because I doubt that I will ever have another teacher as helpful, kind and fun as her! Don't kid yourself, Organic 1 & 2 are extremely difficult, but she definitely does everything in her ability to help you understand it and succeed. If you still do badly or struggle, then I suggest you study!

You won't find a better Chem teacher!Professor Christensen goes out of her way to make sure you understand the material. I have emailed her often with questions and she is always polite and helpful. Had I taken her a few years earlier I may have changed my major from Bio to Chem because she inspires interest and confidence.

Christiensen is the best teacher at Moraine Valley. Organic chemistry is a very difficult subject, but she makes it understandable! She gives a lot of practice packets before each exam that will help you do well on the exams. Attendance is MANDATORY! Come to class, do ALL her practice packets, read notes, and you'll do good! Prof C. is absolutely the most kind hearted person I have ever met, she is willing to help at any time, just ask :D Unfortunely she is EXTREMELY HARD.!! Her teaching is excellent but her EXAMS ARE IMPOSSIBLE...! I would not recommend her, you have to put 150% of time studying to get a B or C.

Prof. Christensen has some great teaching qualities, but some very frustrating ones as well. Tests are HARD! You MUST know the info in and out, but she teaches well. She is kind and compassionate and give tons of practice. I liked her personally but she is VERY CUT THROAT.89.5 is a B even if you're there every day and have a good rapport!

She is a very nice and helpful teacher. But, as you have read she is extremely proud of how tests her hard can be...so if you do not do well in sciences, or struggle with tests do NOT take her. On the otherhand, if you enjoy chemistry or catch on easily to the subject, you will enjoy her as a professor.

When I first took CHM-111 I thought I was going to be horrible at it. Christensen answers emails and had a ton of resources on blackboard. Glad I took her online class. With three kids under age of 5 yrs, this class fit well. Looking forward to taking her CHM-203 in fall

Great teacher/person! If you are pre-med/pharmacy and you find her class difficult please rethink your career choice. It takes some work but she makes it relatively easy. If you're smart you will get an A. I would highly recommend her to anyone. I hated chemistry before I took organic with her and now I'm considering majoring in it! Take her class.

I work nights 11pm to 8am. I had to stay up until 11am for this 2 hour and 40 min class. I would literally be dying to go to sleep but the professor made the class so interesting. She always had a way to keep you involved. One of the best teachers I have ever had.

89.9 is a B . You earn the grade . But some students earned 87.9 and got an A . Overall fair . Wonderful resources on blackboard . Office hours good . They are packed with students so go early to office to wIt in line for help. She emails you back quickly. If you keep up with the work , study you will be fine for mcats or pacts. Taking her for 204

Only negative thing her office is full of chm-203 students hard to get chm 204 help. Plus she teaches another class right after class on Wednesday = lose office hours. I actually MISS chemistry now. They aren't kidding when they say that she's the best teacher. Very easy going, straight to the point, funny and extremely helpful. Ofc it's gonna be hard - it's freaking Orgo 2. This class is like a part-time job. If you want A study at least 2h every day.

Hands down best organic chemistry teacher ever! She explained the material in a way that I will forever understand and use in my future studies. If you do the note packets and study the practice exams, your guaranteed at least a B in the class . Final exam replaces lowest test score which is a bonus. Labs are easy points. Highly recommend her!!!!!

Professor Christensen is the BEST! Being a ChemE major, I already like chem, but she makes the long lectures fun because she is so funny. She is the nicest teacher, cares about her students and will help in any way she can. The exam criteria is clear but they are still tough. She makes sure that you actually have to learn the material to do well.

Dr. Christensen is a genius! I personally didn't like her way of teaching the class (hands out packets so you don't have to write--it feels like reading a textbook again). She is incredibly helpful. Organic chemistry is hard, but she makes it pretty fun.

This class can only be described as an extended bullying. Orgo is not easy, and professor Christensen does her best to teach the students very well. The test are tough, there are pop quizzes, and the lab reports are no joke. If you're looking for an easy A, this is not the class. If you want to go into upper-level science, take her to be toughened

Took Orgo 1 with her. Register asap because seats will fill fast. I've heard horror stories from students who have taken other professors. 4 exams + 1 final + lab quizzes + lab reports. You will have to study everyday and then some If you want the A. Do the entire practice exam before the exam. Respect the chemistry and study your ass off no excuse

Christensen makes Chemistry so much bearable of a class. This Chem111 was a hybrid summer class, so we had no lectures at all. We had to self learn the material, but even then it wasn't bad at all. Tests are difficult, but everything is on the practice quizzes. Theres also an E.C. practice final, which helps a lot. She tops every other professor!

You can never go wrong with taking Professor Christensen! You doesn't require you to get the textbook but it's very useful when you combine it with her notes. Oh yeah her notes are incredibly good! She gives practices, take-home quizzes etc. Take her asap class fills up super fast.

The best science teacher at MVCC. She breaks everything down for you in Orgo 1 but you have to put time and effort into this 5 credit class. Her exams are pretty difficult but she hands out packets and study guides weeks before the exams. Responds to email quickly. The nicest human being you'll ever meet and her jokes will get you thru the class.

Professor Christensen is legitimately the best professor I've had for a science class, she keeps things light and quick very understanding if you have any issues and will genuinely do anything to help you but YOU HAVE TO PUT IN EFFORT ask questions be attentive she's great!

I struggled in Chem 100 at JJC and needed a second chem for my dental hygiene degree. I found Professor Christensen's online/summer class option. She answered some questions before I ever registered! She answers questions and gives guidance/feedback and gives clear expectations. It is overwhelming the first week but stick with it!!

Christensen was awesome. I took CHM 111 during the summer and it was rough! Very accelerated but she gave fantastic feedback and made it very clear at the beginning of the course what you needed to do to pass.

If you need to take chemistry take her! I needed this class for nursing so I took it in the summer. I'm so glad I did. Great professor. I had the pleasure of being in her chem 203 and 204 class. I was able to earn an A in both of them with a lot of hard work and determination. She really prepares you for upper level courses. She would joke that she was our mama bear but honestly she treats everyone with a great amount of kindness. Definitely will miss her classes.

Professor Christensen is a very good teacher. Her lab quizzes are easy if you prepare all required information. Tests are not bad if you study all her notes. No extra credit, and participation is important (when you have 89% in a class, she will give you an A if you attend all lectures and labs). Very fair grader, and nice person.

Exams are straight forward and A is possible if you study. Do the practice problems and you will be fine. I took 203 and 204 with her, and got above 100% in both. Highly recommend taking her :)

This was the hardest class I have ever taken online, I recommend people to study thoroughly and go to the tutor. I did bad at all the exams except for the first one. And yet amazingly I ended up with a C. Do all the labs and quizzes. The study guides do not match the exam, do not try to memorize it, you HAVE to understand the subject completely.

Chemistry is a hard class in general, add to that being online and also an accelerated summer class it is extremely hard and you must be committed to doing what is assigned. The tests are very hard but are capable of passing if you do the practice quizzes and exams. DO NOT FALL BEHIND! This professor is extremely caring and wants the best for you.

Christensen is an amazing professor and woman in general, she is great and i love her lectures. The class is not easy, you will have to work hard. Tests are extremely difficult but she does make herself as available as possible if you ever need clarification. Show up to every lab because she gives you free points for showing up on top of the lab.

she does not give extra credit, she is so funny. very caring, however, makes you work for every tiny bit of grade you could ever earn. i got an A, but i went through blood and tears to get it. she explains very well. she would round only if you were a good student, so work hard to earn the grade you want. her exams are tough, they are hard.

Studied straight off the notes she gave us- no textbook unless you want more practice. Quizzes online almost weekly (hybrid class). Labs were super easy and prof. is HILARIOUS and super helpful, one of my favorites at Moraine! The exams were easy too (much easier than the quizzes) and she allows cheat sheets for them. Final was SO EASY! Take her!

Dr. Christensen is the BEST teacher, thru 5 semester at mvcc she tops my list. If you need orgo TAKE HER! Excellent teacher, answers all questions, always strives to help you. She can teach you in class but you must be time outside of class or youre screwed. Shes a wonderful lady, i wish she taught more classes other than chem. SHE IS THE BEST!

i took this class fully online. the labs were done at home and for the most part fairly easy to do- some more time consuming then others. Quizzes were weekly and the practices quizzes/exams do not reflect the actual exams and all of them are done using Honorlock. class was tough but she did offer extra labs to do for extra credit.

I am so glad I met Professor Christensen. I worked very hard in her class. On the day of our final exam I told her how my father had passed away the night before and that I did not know if I could sit down for an exam. She was very understanding and allowed me not to take it. She even came to my father's funeral. She truly cares about her students.

DR. &Ccedil;hristensen is amazing, you have to study like any upper level course. Available after or before class to tutor. She makes her own study classroom book this is gold! Took her for Organic 1 &amp; 2.

Professor C is a great teacher and is hilarious. It is a freaking hard course but she does a great job of making things easier to understand. Totally take her.

the class is hard like any Orgo you will take but the professor really tries to make it understandable. the 2 and 3 test will probably be your worse but you can still pass by doing good on 1 and 4th. the labs are relatively easy and she explains everything before hand. Homework is a little tricky as you only get two attempts on each question.

Had to take chemistry, so I took this class. Prof C organized the class in units which is easy to go through with recorded lectures. I like that I get to watch them whenever. The labs are at home and are alright. if I have questions, she emails back quickly. I do not like chemistry, but she makes it bearable.

Prof C is awesome. I had her awhile back and was helping my sister choose classes for fall. She is a great prof who prepared me well for dental school and just finished my second year. Lectures are long, but she is funny. Ochem is hard, but she really helped me whenever I had questions. Take her, but you have to work to be successful.

Not an easy class, it's def. challenging but Dr. C tries to make it fun and helps us understand the concepts. I am preparing to take the MCAT and know that what I learn in the class will help me. I'd rather have a challenging class than an easy class that won't help me in the future. Good luck to all.

What an amazing, kind professor. She's a gem and she's a must for Orgo 1 and 2. Her exams are straightforward and she gives a breakdown on canvas (so you know what to study). She'll also show a preview of the exam so you don't get nervous. Exams are straightforward and have extra credit. Best teacher I've ever had, take her.

I actually took her for CAN-100-300 and I was worried at first with the low ratings of her but I took a chance. Nicest teacher ever. For class as long as you take notes for the quizzes, youll pass. Just do the assignments (you get a week) and you will pass. Great class to take ! :)

Overall a great professor. There are 4 exams then the final. She allowed us to use a front/back paper of any notes for the exams until someone got caught using multiple notes and ruined it for all of us. Her lecture videos are very helpful. Be ready to be dedicated 10-20 hours a week in this class.

Not an easy class but the teacher is understanding and took time to meet with me to answer any questions that I've had. She helped me understand the materials better. She's tough but fair. I will be well prepared for the MCAT, that's for sure. Not an easy A, I had to work my butt off for the B - it's not an easy subject so I was thrilled with it.

A lot of people hate on her and I totally get the frustrations but she is tough with tough love. Prepares you for the harsh reality of the MCAT and the difficulties of what will be to come but remember that she has office hours and will always be there to provide help. She geninuely wants you to succeed as tough as her exams are.

Professor Christensen is by far one of the best professors at Moraine Valley. She is super caring and willing to help you whenever you need it. She tells you exactly what you need to know when studying for the exams and is super funny. Just know that the content is not easy, but it's organic chemistry so you should be ready to put the work in.

Prepare for an intense but rewarding experience with Professor Christensen. The material is challenging, but she genuinely wants you to succeed. Consistent study with unstuck study and the textbook can really help.

It's organic chemistry. Not everything will make sense right away. Expect to study outside of class. I spent 10-20 hours a week studying. That's how you learn lol. She can't magically make you understand it all during lecture. No teacher can. You can do well if you do the practice sheets and make sure you understand everything on the note packets.
