He's absolutely adorable!!!! And for his first time teaching he's pretty clear on what he's teaching. Some jokes throughout the lecture making it not overly boring. Some people said that he didn't explain things very clearly but so far I understood everything he's taught. Posts slides online as well.

He provides practice midterms 2 weeks before the exam and posts all his slides online immediately. He is also extremely funny and it is obvious he wants his students to do well in his class.

Breaks down a math problem from a Korean zombie movie (Kingdom from Netflix). Lots of examples and clear explanation. Easy access through email. Go take him even if you hate math.

This man is a gem. He gives very clear explanations, does lots of examples in class, doesn't give a lot of homework but gives lots of resources to practice, he's hilarious and will host review sessions himself. Take as many of his courses as possible.

The instructor Jeewon Yoo was an amazing experience and made a subject which I felt I was lacking in turn into one I felt I could handle. His enthusiasm and love of math help create an amazing atmosphere even in a large lecture hall. Along with his jokes come a learning atmosphere which was clear and effective.

Jeewon is by far the best prof i've had at UBCO. He teaches all the concepts so well, the midterms are very fair as he goes over almost the exact questions he will be testing prior to the exam, and he is very helpful in office hours. If you can get in his class, DO IT! You won't regret it, he is amazing.

jeewon cares so much about his students it's insane. on the 2nd day some ppl complained about the speed of the lecture so he switched his lecture style to make sure everyone could keep up. his midterms are basically the same as the problems from the lecture slides. he's so sweet and loves to crack jokes. best uni prof you could ever ask for.

Jeewon is a beauty and is a great lecturer. He's young and easy to understand. his lecture notes are good and he goes fast but you can follow. There's online assignments due every week so its easier to do it in a group. The tests are fair in respect to the practice midterm and studying those concepts well.

Once before a midterm, I was super stressed and he took half an hour before the midterm began to sit down with me and help me understand concepts i was having troubles with. BEST MATH TEACHER YOU I EVER HAD.

He can sense when the class needs a break and sometimes let us out a few minutes early for a coffee. He is always so kind and gives us updates on how his FIFA games go the first minute of class and everyone laughs so we always start on a positive note.

I was in the alternative lecture class, but occasionally i was able to attend his class when i had a break from lab weeks. This professor i the best teacher i've ever met. Really knows how to build difficult concepts of basic fundamentals. He doesn't skip easy steps which is nice for first years.

He had so many office hours, I always found myself available to attend most of them throughout a week and they were really beneficial! Probably the best professor I have ever had, even though I did not actually pass the class, the notes I have will actually allow me to pass the second time. And he is such a funny guy and never wins FIFA, makes class entertaining and cares about his students' success.

I was in an alternative section, but I always attended his open "office hours." I have also attended some of his lectures when I was able, and he definitely makes the class more engaging than other professors. That said, students with no calculus knowledge in the other class would have had it more difficult. Jeewon is a great PROF for first-years!

LEGEND. I failed the course because I failed the exam but that was not because Jeewon didn't teach the content well enough. Now I can use his notes to pass the course this time around. 10/10 recommend.

Jeewon is a great professor. He made the course fun by relating it to topics we cared about. This made the lectures clear and engaging. Lots of examples given in lectures and not much theory. He teaches what you are expected to know and the tests well reflect the in class examples.

Prof. Yoo was the best math teacher I've had. He hand-wrote all of his notes and was very helpful throughout class. Make sure to show up for tutorial as there is a graded quiz each week, but overall he seemed very nice and intelligent. Definitely recommend over Prof. Butz.

I thought his class was easy because I had already taken it in high school, however I felt sorry for those who hadn't taken the class before. Great guy, but I found that only about 50% of his lectures actually helped my understanding. Better choice than Hare from what I've heard.

This prof made my first year enjoyable. I usually hate math, but Jeewon made me enjoy it. Tests are extremely similar to practice tests so you're not left confused on questions you didn't know. I seriously emphasize this. If you have to take calculus seriously chose him, you will not regret it. However his TA's are no help.

Jeewon is an amazing professor. I cannot explain enough how much he wants all his students to succeed and pass the class. He extended his office hours to four times a week just because students needed that extra help. The material taught was definitely hard to grasp at some points but he always made everything easier to understand. Literally a gem.

I was hesitant about taking math online cuz of corona but professor yoo is an AMAZING teacher. He sounds very passionate and excited to teach. He also finds a way of keeping students engaged during long lectures (idk how but i look forward to math now). Yoos very clear and even goes through each step with detail to make sure were not confused.

You can tell that he genuinely cares about every student. If all of my profs were as encouraging as him I'd be so confident. He knows what he's talking about, and is amazing at relaying the info in ways everyone can understand. He makes fun analogies for everything, which makes even calculus easy. He should be showing the other profs how to teach!

Jeewon is my favourite first year prof. it was a bit easy because ive already taken caclulus but his lessons were super simply but still informative.

Absolute best prof I've ever had. He's super diligent his explanations and in making sure that his students understand the work as he is teaching it. He's super sweet as well. I'd say there's a perfect workload for this class. Enough to make sure you are thoroughly learning and understanding content but still very manageable. :)

The lab tests were quite a bit different from learnt material (in my opinion) but the other professor wrote them, just be ware. Jeewon was hands down, my best prof this semester. You can definitely tell that he wants you to do well in his class. His tests are fair and if you pay attention in the lectures, you will do well on them. His final was hard but he adjusted it so it ended up being really nice. If you pay attention, you WILL do well in his class.

Jeewon is about the only professor who cared about students stress and cared for us enjoying class instead of just doing assignments and going through the content. Im not a math person, and let me say no one has the ability to make class this engaging. It was a lot of work and the final was HARD, but he was incredibly forgiving about it.

Do the assignments and notes and you'll be totally fine. All I did to study for the midterms and final was redo the assignments (never opened the textbook). 10/10 protect jeewon at all costs.

I'm not typically a huge calc fan, but Jeewon was so delightful that Math 100 was my favourite class. Absolutely hilarious, explained things very well, set clear work expectations, and deliberately built his lectures and practice problems around the class' needs. Plus, he always posted all the material right on time. Would HIGHLY recommend.

He was a great prof! His pre-recorded lectures were clear and concise with a lot of examples too, making it easy to follow along. The final was a little tough but not too bad.

Professor Jeewon has easily been one of my favorite prof's this semester, he has office hours every week where he reviews the previous week which was very helpful. He also gave very fair exams with really good practice exams. Would recommend him to every student.

I've had him for a second time now, he is the best prof you can ask for. He clearly explains everything, anything he does is accessible anytime anywhere, the exams are very fair (if you do the practice exam you will for sure pass). He is a great example for a top-notch professor.
