interesting lecture because it includes discussion, cares about students and just a really nice guy. tests are difficult, but if you just read the book and pay attention to the details, you can do fine--I've gotten over 90% on all of them

I think his tests are very hard, too many chapters to remember, if you read you should do half way decent, very nice to look at and makes class fun! Too bad he is married:(

This guy is a hottie! He is quite helpful and nice but his tests are really hard, you have to memorize a lot of material. He does make the class fun & interesting though. Just make sure you read the chapters if you want to do well on exams...

Definately eye candy! He is a really great teacher, very willing to help you out. His tests are pretty hard. Must read all the material and study class notes if you want an A. Lectures are very interesting and likes to involve personal opinions.

Dr. Angera made this class very interesting. He pushed for a lot of classroom participation, which was great. You can tell he loves what he does. The test were somewhat hard but you'll do fine if you study. He's not bad to look at either.

This man is very into his teaching. He is a great teacher and willing to help anyone! His tests are hard, but he does curve them. Not an easy A, but also very hard to fail. Interesting and keeps you involved. Take him for this class!

This class was a lot harder than I expected it to be. Sex Ed, who woulda thought?? Anyway, I took the class online, during the summer, so the workload was A LOT. This class is well worth it tho, and he is a really good teacher.

Jeff is a good Prof. His class discussions are easy to pay attention to and he makes the info preety interesting. The exams are long and you have to study to do well. He id willing to help you, so if you study your likely to get a A- or B+

Dr. Angera is a nice guy & makes this class interesting. Lectures are not bad & you MUST read the book for tests. Overall pretty easy to get an A. (Also- go to class! for in-class points and test ?s taken right from the lectures)

For me the tests were hard, but then again I suck at testing. He is a good professor though, the class periods were fun and he tells funny jokes.

He was an amazing professor. He made the material really clear and he made the class interesting and fun. For me, the tests weren't that easy, but if you go to class and actually read, you shouldn't have too hard of a time. Be sure to go to the website designed for the textbook. That'll help a lot.

This is the best class I've ever taken! Lectures are very interesting and exams are a little tough. I didn't do too well on the first one but I did a lot better on the second, once I knew what he wanted. He's just a really nice guy who is very passionate about his career and being a father.

Tests were tough. You need to know specific information on the assumptions of theories for the tests. One group project is required. He offers no study guide and you have to read the textto pass the tests. He's nice guy but it's a tough class. Sometimes it's hard to pay attention because he is hot!

Dr. A is awesome! His tests are VERY hard, but he makes the material interesting to learn about. Loves to tell jokes and create a more laid back learning environment.Dont let the tests scare you,the marriage interview and inclass assignments will help your grade!(that means make sure to go to class)

Jeff Angera was a great prof and even though the tests were a little difficult, the class was fun! You learn a lot about dating, yourself, marriage, and other need to know things for life!

I loved this guy. I took him in the summer and got an A. I didn't think the tests were that difficult, just a lot of information. Definately needed to study. Also, use the online stuff for the books, sometimes the same questions are on the test.

I loved Dr. A's classes! He loves what he does and he made everything interesting. I enjoyed both 211 and 291. Study for his exams and if you need help just ask! He's more than willing to meet with you and help you out. He even helped me out for another class! Take Dr. A if you can! He's by far my favorite professor at CMU!

Definitely take the class if you are interested and ready to read and study a lot. Don't take the class just because you heard he's hot. Tests are very difficult so don't go into it thinking you're going to slack off because it's any easy topic. Groups are the best part.

Great prof., hard class. That about sums it up. Dr. A is very outgoing and helpful, although the material on the tests is very difficult. Take the class, but be prepared to recieve the grade you work for.

I miss this class. One of the best Prof in the HEV Dep. Friendly, helpful and he's easy to understand. He's Respectful of everyones veiws and that's hard to find in most CMU Profs. It's a great class too.

This class was a lot of fun. Professor Angera is so interesting and teaches the class very well. However, his tests aren't easy, but if you use the book's website it helps a lot and there is usually a curve on them. Be open-minded if you are taking this class. P.S. He is super cute:)

Dr. Angera is an exceptional professor and a wonderful man. He brings a certain charm to the narrow field of Human Development - he is highly respectful, yet still likes playing the devil's advocate. IF you study the ?? activities from the website, read the text and attend class you should get a high grade on exams. Highly recommended class!!

Jeff is a very down to earth professor and gets along great with college students. You can talk to him like he's your friend and he'll probably do anything in his power to help you succeed. A very kind and respectful man. He tries to make class as easy as possible.

best professor i've had at central so far, very nice guy and willing to help no matter what. the content of his tests are detailed and you have to study, but i would reccommend the class to anyone.

Professor Angera is wonderful! He is so helpful and encouraging. The tests can be tricky and difficult if you don't study your notes enough or read the book...so make sure you do both. This is a great class and I'd recommend it to anybody!

Very nice guy and leinant. Tries to understand and be helpful. Not much homework, and he appreciates others being respectful and he loves participation. Become somewhat involved in this class, do what he asks-which isn't much, and you will definitely be rewarded. Take Jeff for one of your classes... he's a great professor!

I loved Dr. Angera. Information was all very staight forward and very well taught. Created a very comfortable environment so it was very easy to talk about different topics. Did funny little jokes before every class. Very laid back. Would suggest this class and professor for anybody. Get the book. Very interesting to read.

Really enjoyed this class! Lots of reading tho. In class is really helpful for general need to know knowledge. One textbook I have never fallen asleep to. Tests can be tricky but if you study the notes and read the assigned chapters you should be fine. One night a week sex groups basically which are really fun and informational!

Angera was awesome with this class. He and Chris Latty taught it togehter, and they definitely made a comfortable environment. The book is used a lot, but it is so interesting, i'm thinking about keeping it and not returning it for money! Tests are hard, study and read and you should do fine! Very fun professor. He made it interesting and was very approachable. You can miss some classes but there is in class activities that can kill your grade. I barely used the book except for study guides and when I had missed class. Overall, I would recommend taking this class with him.

Good Professor. He is nice, but his test are tough. You need to study and make sure you at least skim the book. Lecture isn't mandatory, but it is helpful in clarifying ideas and topics you're tested on. He's a good prof, you just have to work to do well.

This is a really interesting class. It is hard to do good on the exams without reading. Come to class for the attendance points and don't wait until the last minute to study. Use the online resource they give because sometimes they take questions directly off of the site.

His jokes are really corny, but he tries :) dont really need the book, just show up to class, take the notes, and you'll be fine! plus, he's rather easy on the eyes :)

Love this class! READ. As long as you read you shouldn't have trouble with the tests. Use the online resources. A lot of questions will show up on the test. Go to class. Small in class assignments. No big deal but you can't make them up.

Dr. Angera is great! Go to class, read and youll do fine. The tests are pretty tough but you get a ton of points for going to class and lab. Use the book and the online quizzes, the questions show up on tests. I looked forward to this class every week. Really interesting and never boring. Definitely take this with Angera if you can!

Attend class at all times, you need to get the notes for the exams. Exams are kind of hard and require a lot of studying. You have to do discussion questions every week and are graded on being there or not. You have one paper which is really easy. Overall, very interesting class if you love Family Studies.

If you can even stop concentrating on how HOTT Dr. Angera is, you'll learn a lot in this class. Everything is extremely interesting. I strongly recommend going to class, taking notes, and reading the book. Don't miss a second of class. I went to get water and I came back and was lost. Amazing class, amazing professor! TAKE THIS CLASS!!!

absolutely loved this class! he explains everything very well and tells jokes to keep you awake. my only complaint is that the class is too short. 50 minutes goes by way too fast. you should DEFINITELY take this class!! (but make sure you read the book!)

Such a good professor! I had him for 213 and took this class just because he was teaching it. Has stories and jokes that go along with lecture to keep you interested, and does a lot of class discussion which is helpful on understanding the material. You do have questions from each chapter of the book, but they aren't hard. Deff take it with him!

Jeff was great! Just know that you have to read the book. No homework assignments or papers to write, so reading the book is really not a lot to ask for. Jeff is a well-spoken man with a great understanding of how students need information presented to them in order to see multiple perspectives. Truly a great class and great professor

He is a great professor. The class has to do critical thinking questions from each chapter, but they are super easy. I did a whole grade letter better on the exams when I read the book. He provides a pretty good study guide as long as you complete it in its entirety. I would highly recommend him for any class. He has stories and great lectures!

Angera is an excellent teacher. He really cares about the topic and it's obvious. The exams are hard, but the class is definitely worth it. You HAVE to read the book. I would take this class again.

Angera is a good teacher, and the class is very interesting. Don't worry about deciding between Angera and Latty, though, because they teach it together so it doesn't matter what section you take. The tests are hard but easier if you do all of the online practice quizzes and read the chapter reviews in the book.

The discussion board was the best experience I have ever had with an online course. I actually felt as if I was a part of a face-to-face classroom. Great online experience and I am sure it is even better in-seat. The only factor that I did not care for was that the tests were timed. Do your work properly and on time and you will get an A.

Love this class! Angera and Latty taught together for my section and they do a good job. They both try to relate as much as they can to students or themselves that we could see a connection with. The discussions are interesting because most people open up. Tests are hard. Read the chapters and the answers are all there.

He's awesome. He's funny, very knowledgeable about the subject and you can tell he loves what he's teaching. The tests can be difficult, but long as you study, actually study, not skim, you should be fine. I'd recommend taking this with him and Angera. I learned a lot and the material is pretty interesting.

Difficult class, large exam and semester long group project. However, I don't feel I learned as much information as I did group work skills, which is okay. I learned how to plan a program, what is take to coordinate a program, and how to work with different types of people. Okay class, required for the Family Studies major.

I went into this class terrified, because of all of the rumors I heard about it. There is a semester long project but if you actually work on it, it will pay off in the end. Big exam half way through the semester. Dr. A works with you to really help you succeed. I learned a lot and it helped me prepare for the real world. Don't be afraid to ask ?'s

This class is as difficult as you make it. The only exam is half way through and isn't difficult if you review all your notes and review the reading prior to it. The group project is ALOT of work, so don't wait to work on it. He gives pop quizzes occasionally, and those points add up so always do the readings!

Genuinely cares about students and wants you to do well. The class is super interesting - take it if you can fit it in, no matter what your major is!

I took his Sexuality class online and it was interesting. I was a tad bit nervous about taking this class but he was great. He also really cared about every student in his class and welcomed our opinions on things. We had four exams that were pretty tough, you definitely need to study and read all the materials online. I definitely recommend him!!

Tough class overall, but I love Dr. Angera and his teaching style. He's very kind, empathetic, and great at explaining things and running the class. There's only one test but follow the study guide to a T and you'll get an A. Make sure you pick a good group that works hard to do your program with cause there is a crazy big project.

This is a very tough class just because you are pretty much on your own. It challenged me and made me work for my grade. He wants you to do as much of the final project on you own as possible to get you ready for the internship/ your future job. There is a group project in this class that is really intense. Get started on it as soon as you have your group assigned and expect to meet with them each week for about 3-4 hours. Angera seems like the kind of prof who grades based on your potential, not your actual work; if he thinks you can do better, expect to be disappointed. Does pop quizzes

Online class where you did weekly DQ questions to get class involved. 4 exams (sort of easy if you read chapters in book). Opens 5 pts EC each week that isn't on lockdown browser so that helped A LOT. 1 six page sexuality report reviewing two websites. Graded very easily. Glad I took it online. Definitely would recommend.

He can ramble on sometimes with lectures. You design a DETAILED FLE program in groups (50 pages). Get a good group of people!! It is a lot of work, plus he makes you read (pop quizzes) and have an exam along with designing the program. Don't take it unless you're required to. Be self motivated and get it done or you'll be stressed at the end!!

Dr. Angera is a great professor when it comes to internship. He is very caring and hands on and keeps up with every little detail of his intern's internship experiences. He is very helpful when you are struggling with your internship and is a good sounding board if you need advice. This class is graded mostly on your internship hours & evaluations.

Jeff is literally the best professor I have ever had. Take him for literally any class and he will blow your mind. Easy on the eyes which made going to class bearable.

Jeff was one of my favorite professors this semester. He is really funny, passionate about what he teaches, and it good looking too. The exams have a lot of content straight from the book but some of it is common sense. Take this class to fill your UP!!!

Jeff was great the class was a lot of busywork, he's a talker, and lectures run to the last minute. Lectures require participation, group break-out sessions, after-class assignments, and weekly quizzes in addition to 60 unpaid internship hours. The class was good but it eats into your time heavily when you add all the components together. -HDF 219

I enjoyed taking this class with Angera, but the exams were difficult. There aren't any study guides, so you are pretty much on your own when studying. It was an online class, but I still felt like I learned a lot from taking this course. He also gives extra credit quizzes before the exams, so those help boost your grade as well.

One of the best professors I've had. You find your own placement but they give you a list of sites to choose from. What you put into the class is what you'll get out of it make sure you chose your site wisely. The course isn't academically challenging. There was quite a few times we would do an in-class activities that were due by 11:59 that night

Angera was very kind and approachable in this class. Has a strong understanding of the topic and sets students up well for the next class in the series.
