Hes pretty tough!
He's a really good, and more than fair professor. Tests are easy, assignments are too, and the final project not difficult at all. Very chill guy but don't bother him nor get late to class, gives many extra points, he doesn't want you to fail. If you fail his class than you are just plain lazy. 10/10
he's a really good professor. he does not want any one to fail his class, and gives lots of extra points and it can help you to increase your grade. he also grades the test very leniently. I would consider everyone to take his class.
Professor Bajah is a good professor. His tests reflects what we learned in class and from the slides! Just make sure to read from the textbook as well. His group project is also easy and really straight forward. Also gives tons of extra credit because he doesn't want to see you fail.
Prof. Bajah is a great professor. This was the second time that i took his class. He always makes sure that he's students are not been stressed. He creates a relaxed learning environment for his students. Overall, the tests are not that hard. He gives a lot of extra credit in class. As long as you put effort in it, you will get an A.
Class is about participation, turning in your homework on time and reading the chapters. He provides power points for every chapter & discusses them with you in class. Test are not as easy, sometimes things we did not discuss in class appear on the test but he give extra credit opportunities in class to discuss them. Not easy but you can get an A.
Honestly, College 1 sucks no matter who it's with. He was okay he just took things super seriously when the whole class is literally a joke. Seems like a nice guy. Just make sure your poster is really pretty and turn things in on time and you'll do fine.
Great professor. This was an online class so it's hard to get a real sense of his personality, but he graded things on a timely manner and makes sure to keep the class updated through announcements. He is also clear about assignments and gives you plenty of time to get things done. If you work hard you will do well in this class.
Took online class. Wasnt too bad I hated discussions that just me. I hate the idea of a group project for an online class, hard enough to get people to work together in class.
He is intimidating at first but truly cares and lectures well. Has a bit of an accent but didn't bother me at all. Just turn everything in and you'll pass.
Very slow to grade assignments. Puts online class on autopilot and disappears. Group work assignment is a big portion of grade. Way more work than the class is worth. Take the class from another prof.
This professor might seem very intimadating at first, but you don't have to worry about your grade. You might fail a test or two but he gives a lot of extra credit and is very reasonable. He has a slight accent but it's easy to understand him. Also, he has online assignment on MyMath Lab, do those and you should be fine.
Dr. Jeff is one of the best professors at PCC. Very easy class if you do your homework and the math lab. Almost guaranteed an A. Extra credit on homework. Gives example problems before tests. He is nice. He likes to help. He always said our job as teachers- to guide. The students success is our success.
Study, Pay attention in class and do the homework and you can do well.
Professor Bajah is an amazing Professor. He is willing to help any student who comes and asks from him and wants to help his students succeed. While working on a group project in his class, I came to him informing him that my group members were not doing their part. Professor Bajah took the time to give me the tools needed to finish the project.
He is very funny and helpful. He really wants you to learn. However I would not recommend taking stats as a hybrid if you are not strong with math in general. It is too hard to follow the homework on your own without meeting with the class more often. I knew it would be a lot of work but I had no idea what I got myself into.
Professor's instructions and exam questions are very hard to follow as they contain a multitude of not only grammar errors but sometimes were so poorly written that they did not make any sense. Professor doesn't seem to take much care into preparing his exams and they test more for recollection of the text vs. understanding of the material.
He is a really easy going person and a very helpful instructor. He is easy to reach and willing to make learning accomodations. Sometimes his online assignments will have typos but as long as you ask him about it, he will explain and correct it. He tries his best to teach and gives lots of real life examples. Easiest Stats professor in my opinion.
Good professor who really enjoys teaching. However his hybrid Business Statistics class is no joke. I took during summer and it was six weeks of living and breathing statistics. Not an easy A, but he does offer extra credit and will further explain if you ask. Although sometimes its so confusing you don't know what to ask. Requires calculator/excel
He was a good professor, although he did take a while to grade the homework, he is a busy man with kids and several classes. He encourages questions and helps us in any way he can. He requires us to participate and will get bothered if we don't. By the end he gave many extra credit opportunities and curved exams.
Prof. Bajah really made statistics very accessible to all of his students through his usually laid-back teaching style. He also makes the material really easy to understand, and if he doesn't make it clear, he's more than willing to clarify it during class or during his office hours. He also gives extra credit, so you're bound to pass his class!
He is really understanding and if you put in a good amount then you will do fine
Professor Bajah was very inconsistent. He didn't reply to discussions or teach material. He only provided course material given to him by the university. He was hard to reach and not compassionate. I worked hard all semester to receive a D from the final. This guy treats being a professor like it's a hobby, not a profession.
Really Great Professor, and knows what he's doing. Took him online in the summer. I really recommend him. You think you suck at math? have you seen me?
A really solid professor, really. During his class, Professor Bajah would often stop and ask if everyone is following along. I found that he understood that everyone works at their own pace, so he makes sure everyone is on the same page before he moves onto the next section. I took him partly online and partly in-class due to COVID. Good professor
Took him Summer 2020 while not having any other options for others profs. He wasn't terrible but his style of teaching wasn't my forte. Fortunately, BUS14A is a mixture of econ, stats, algebra, and stuff I learned in precalc so I was able to teach myself and get a B. He uses MyLab for his assignments
Bit of an accent, hard to understand what he was saying. 2+ hour lectures twice a week, non-mandatory. One mid-term, one final. Extra credit if you did classwork.
I took BUS14A with Dr. Bajah over the summer and passed with an A. The guy is hilarious and offers extra credit. His accent and teaching style can be a little hard to keep up with at times but you get used to it. He likes to call on everyone so be ready to participate.
From my experience and others who reached out, they had absolutely no idea what was happening in this class. Lectures felt drawn out and went on tangents. Not a bad teacher but probably better in person than online.
Online classes that have discussions are so inanely stupid. In this class, they are worth I think close to 25% of your grade. Easy right? Wrong, it is nearly impossible to get a perfect score for seemingly no reason whatsoever. He offers feedback and on one occasion said "very good engaging and responsive - 23/25." That's just the type of ass he is
DO NOT TAKE THIS MAN. He is not specific at all for his projects and doesn't give specific feedback on what you did wrong either. This is not just coming from me but from a few other students I've heard taking this class as well. This man grades discussions like we are in the military. Worst professor I've had at PCC.
Profesor Bajah is an amazing teacher. Im horrible at stats but he really helped me during office hours. This is a very difficult class with weekly quizzes. Studying is a must. The discussion are not difficult you just need to follow instructions.
Professor Bajah is amazing! Everything he gives is very good structured. A lot to work on, but if you give yourself enough time reviewing the lectures and doing assignments, you will be good. I like that Mr. Bajah offers very cool topics for discussions and materials based on real situations. He also offers a lot of extra credit opportunities.
He really makes an effort to help students understand the subject which i think is the most important thing for math. he also helped make the material easy to understand. I recommend taking his class.
He is amazing. He is the best.
His style of teaching is one of a kind. He is the best teacher I have ever met.
The hardest professor I've ever taken.
Professor Bajah is caring and pretty helpful. Excel heavy, but he'll guide you through the each process. Gives a ton of extra credit opportunities that can easily help increase a grade. Nothing really to comment, but I highly recommend this class if you are taking it for credit. Honestly, an easy A!
Bajah grades pretty toughly on midterms and finals and doesn't tell you exactly what you did wrong. He also tends to make things more difficult than necessary. He gives opportunities extra credit though. It's NOT an easy A. You'll need to check other resources to understand the work. I learned mostly through Knewton, not his lectures.
Bajah is literally the best professor ever! He gives tons of extra credits and those credits are counted towards your midterm and final, which are kinda easy because everything is open book. Both Bajah and his TA are very nice and caring. It's very hard to fail or get a B in his class, you can miss 2 assignments and still get a 90%.
The class I took was asynchronous, and lectures are recorded and posted. The assignments are generally easy if you pay attention to the lectures. Professor Bajah explains the steps clearly, he is humble and funny. Extra credit is offered, and his TA makes frequent announcements to ensure you stay on top of things.
Bajah's class is not easy. The only reason I will take the class again is because the extra credit and the TA.
I do like Prof. Bajah but his grading for discussions irked me. You have to make your initial response before Thursday and can only reply to two people AFTER Thursday before Sunday. You also always need to include a reference even if he doesn't say or else he takes points off. I made my post and replies on the same day and got marked off points.
Best Math class I have taken. The help they offer in this class to help you succeed is unbelievable. Thank you, professor Bajah and Ms. Lina, for making me love math again.
I am lucky to have had a chance to take my 4th class with Dr. Bajah. He still amazed me with the quality of his teaching every time. I wish there are many teachers like him. My favorite teacher all the time!! Thank you Dr. Bajah for everything you did for us I'm these 8 weeks. Can't wait for the next class.
I have always been scarred of maths and waited until my last term to take this class. I was also worried since I had no experience using Excel but Prof Bajah was patient, helpful and we had a chance at extra credit in every class. He explains the topics very clearly. I ended with an A! If you are worried about maths, you would love his class.
I finished another class with Dr. Bajah. I can't find a word to describe how grateful I am. Dr. Bajah is an amazing teacher who cares about students' success. I asked many times for help outside office hours and he helped me immediately even on Sundays. I am lucky that I have a chance to learn from him. Thank you Dr. Bajah for everything !!!
My favorite math class I've ever taken, it was all pretty easy and he offered extra credit every single day. Beware of skipping though, he drops people who don't show up.
Can't be more grateful for having a chance to learn statistics from Dr. Bajah. His Stats lectures are amazing and you will never get bored listening to him.
I finished my statistics class and I didn't only get an A, I got lots of knowledge about every topic in statistics that I can use in my daily life. Amazing teacher!
Professor Bajah's class is not easy, he offers plenty of extra credit
I want to say that the class TA for this course was really amazing. She was always there to help and made a big difference in my learning. She replied quickly to my emails and was willing to meet on Zoom to answer my questions. Her help meant a lot to me, and I'm thankful for all she did. Thank you for being such a great TA!
Dr. Bajah is simply fantastic! His knowledge and teaching style in bus math and statistics are top-notch. I was struggling with math, but his clear explanations and support made a world of difference. I can't recommend Dr. Bajah enough for anyone looking to excel in bus math. He's truly a game-changer!
Professor Bajah made learning statistics with excel super fun and easy. He provides real life examples from his experiences and incorporates them into his lectures. Make sure you ALWAYS do the extra credit. And if you ever have a question, either ask him at the end of class or at office hours. He is a very down to earth person.
The course felt like an Excel training program which made it difficult for us to fully understand the material. The exams mainly assessed our proficiency in Excel and the strict grading system with bad feedback left us feeling confused and frustrated. It was like the focus was on testing our Excel abilities than evaluating our statistics abilitys
Took his 6 wk winter class and class grade consisted of 3 quizzes (multi-choice), 6 discussions, 2 small assignments, midterm, final, and final project. You NEED to watch his lecture vids if you want to pass this class. I practiced on his provided Excel worksheets while watching his vids. Sample midterm and final were similar to the actual ones.
Dr. Bajah's passion for teaching is both exceptional and inspiring, setting a high standard for educators. His dedication to his students' learning journeys is evident in his innovative teaching methods that have fostered my academic growth and deepened my appreciation for the subject. His commitment to student success makes him truly outstanding.
I took 4 courses with Dr. Bajah. He is kind, hardworking, and supportive. He grades on time, provides feedback, and allows you to resubmit. He records helpful videos for us to practice. His exams align with the videos. Do not copy answers from online sources because it is easy to detect, and then you will complain about him being a tough grader.
If you want to pass his class make sure you watch his lectures and follow along, do the extra credits, and write all the examples he shows. This is more of an Excel course, so if you are proficient in excel you won't find it hard. The professor does not give enough time for exams since most of the time is trying to figure out Excel.
The best math class ever. You will never find a better teacher than him. There are lots of extra credit opportunities and the exams are easy.
This statistics class was fantastic! The material was presented in a way that made it easy to understand, and the professor recorded helpful videos for us to watch. The extra credit opportunities were plentiful, and the professor was always available for assistance outside of class. It was definitely an easy A!
Dr. Bajah is an awesome statistics teacher! He makes learning fun and easy with his engaging teaching style. I really appreciate his support and dedication to our success.
Dr. Bajah is nice. His vast knowledge and helpful nature make learning a breeze. He is kind and approachable and always willing to assist us. I am grateful for his support and guidance.
This is the simplest math class I've ever attended. All I need to do is watch the instructor's 20 to 30-minute recordings, identify the extra credit, and practice it. The exams and quizzes are similar to the extra credit tasks. There's no reason not to earn an A in this class.
I never imagined that learning statistics could be this enjoyable. Delving into every detail using Excel feels like magic. This class is the easiest A+ grade I've ever achieved.
Professor Bajah is a skilled statistics teacher who simplifies complex concepts effectively. I will take any course he teaches because enrolling in Professor Bajah's course is not just an academic choice but a gateway to a transformative learning journey.
I would choose Professor Bajah again any time, any day. He is a great teacher, and you will have his support till the end.
He offers office hours, but if you try to find him, is never there.
Dr. Bajah's Statistics class was a game-changer! His clear explanations and engaging teaching style really helped me grasp complex concepts with ease. Highly recommend!
Taking Dr. Bajah's Statistics class was a fantastic decision. His passion for the subject shines through in every lecture, making learning enjoyable and understandable.
Dr. Bajah is a gem of a professor! His Statistics class was not only informative but also incredibly engaging. He truly cares about his students' understanding and success.
I can't say enough good things about Dr. Bajah's Statistics class. He breaks down tough topics in a way that is easy to follow and creates a positive learning environment. A must-take course!
Dr. Bajah's Statistics class exceeded all my expectations. His expertise and dedication to teaching are evident in every lesson. If you have the chance to enroll in his class don't hesitate!
I had the pleasure of taking Bus 14 with Dr. Bajah for an easy math class. His approachable teaching style and patience made learning math a breeze. Highly recommend his class for a stress-free!
Dr. Bajah's Business Analytics class was a game-changer for me. His real-world examples and practical approach to teaching made complex analytics concepts easy to understand. If you have the opportunity to take his class,'t miss out!
I wish I could take this class again, I learned a ton! For me, Dr. Bajah speaks and moves quickly during lectures- so I was super grateful to have access to his youtube vids too. I could pause them and take better notes that way. I particularly like that since it was Bus. Stats, the class was EXCEL heavy (my happy place).
This is the worst class to be in. His accent is terrible. You will only understand one word out of every ten he says
Had not taken Stats in HS so I was kinda nervous, he made it easy to understand and definitely did not have bland boring lectures. Has a great sense of humor and teaches everything you need to know in class while stopping every time for questions. Only thing is you will fall behind if you miss a class, and take good notes.
Taking him will be a waste of your time, and it will hurt you GPA. He is not a good teacher, and he has a heavy accent. I had to withdraw from the course.
Not all smart people should become teachers. I am confident that Jeff knows statistics on a deeply personal level; his ability to teach it is another story. Lecture videos were recorded with little to no effort with poor audio quality and visuals. He is an unreasonably strict grader given that a lot of deductions were based on his poor instructions
First of all, this was an introductory Excel class instead of one in statistics. For a math class, the concept of weekly discussion posts with long mathematical explanations does not make any sense. His lectures are low effort zoom recordings with no helpful explanations. His grading is confusing and his exams are formatted horribly. Avoid him!!!
The teacher helped us and gave many information, and the class is so organized and well structured. TA responded to questions quickly. He graded every start of each week, so we can correct mistakes fast and try to fix it in the next work. Though the class was short and covered a lot, making it a little hard. Overall great learning experience.
Everything you need to pass is available. office hours, tutoring hours, organized materials, extra credit, announcements, and videos to watch and rewatch until you understand how to solve the questions. Grades are posted the next day of due dates, he or his t-aid answers emails, and whoever sees it first replies. I'll take any class he teaches.
I took this class in the summer, if you are looking for an "easy" class this class is definitely doable, but you need to put in the work. Do the extra credit homework problems because the lectures guide you through them and they are EXTREMELY helpful during midterms and final exams because they are very similar formats. Don't skip lectures!!
Loved this class!! Easy A
Great class, great teacher. Dr. Bajah is the best teacher at PCC
If you're taking STAT015 just to fulfill requirement, I'd suggest you consider other professors. He's not a good professor in terms of teaching quality and grading difficulty.I know you checked him out because of the high ratings, trust me, don't be fooled!I barely got a B with a lot of self-study.
Easy to BS and get an A. So, know that. However, he doesn't use a textbook, his teaching materials and lecture quality were far below average, he was hard to reach (his TA responds), and he disobeyed his own syllabus (I had to get school admin involved). Thoroughly disliked his course, found this class irksome and unhelpful, but again, easy A.
Jeff makes students feel stupid when they ask questions but he knows statistics. Ta Lina is always available on Zoom. She is patient, funny, and genuinely cares about the students. Overall, it's a great class, and I highly recommend reaching out to Lina if you have any questions.
Honestly not worth it. Assignments were alright and a lot of discussion posts and excel however the grading was off at times and I can't tell what the criteria's were. Also did not answer emails much and hard to reach
Took the class in fall 2024 and I was scared of statistics. While the class contains lecture recordings and uses Excel, I found that doing the extra credit helps a whole LOT. Do them from week 1 as you cannot go back and do after the week has passed.
Terrible, terrible, terrible. DO NOT take his classes. Nothing help for your grade. Severe accents and the bad videos. Want your GPA to be good? Don't take his classes. GOD BLESS!
Do not take this Professor for any class he was extremely difficult and he teaches with old zoom videos with glitches with a very thick accent. He is an extreme grader and took points off assignments for tiny mistakes also uses excel for every single homework assignment. He is inconsiderate and rude making students feel bad about of themselves.
honestly, he wasn't that bad. i have had worst professors and he doesn't come close. he uses excel for everything which is good cuz it's a skill u can put on ur resume. the exams/midterms are basically the same thing we do in class. plus they are open note. he also offers extra credit after every class which helps ALOT
The videos uploaded in canvas were very helpful, if you follow the videos and do the practice homework in excel the class is much easier to follow. The textbook was a good reference for the discussions. The Professor really makes himself available for questions outside of class. The excel practice can be applied to real world scenarios.
This class was really clear as long as you followed his videos. The only thing about some of his videos though was that they were zoomed out so it was hard to see at times. You are guaranteed a good grade by just watching his videos and doing the discussions. Excel was tough, but his videos got me through it. Never did extra credit, still got an A.
very test heavy but the tests are open notebook (I took him at a different community college). I ended the class with over 100% because of the extra credit he offers. Explains topics well but is quite lecture heavy. overall I would recommend solely because of how easy it was.
