He insults his students and tells them they aren't cut out for chemistry. He makes fun of his students and compares us to what his 5th grader is learning. Class average is C/D
His 11 year old sun is given an answer key and grades our exams. You can show your work, get the the correct answer, with the correct units and he is still willing to take off up to 45%. Also if he enters a grade wrong in the grade book, he won't fix it
His lectures are incredibly boring and his personality isn't much better. Class average is a C/D with 2 weeks left to go. I got an A/B in CHM 103 and am at a D right now in his class. Do not take this professor!

Despite what everyone else thinks about him, i thought bryan was a great teacher, and definitely related info to what we needed to know and understand. funny sense of humor.
If you expect chemistry to be an easy A you shouldn't be in chemistry. I have had him for two classes in both lecture and lab and thought he was a great professor who's expectations were clear. If you worked hard for the grade you got what you wanted.
Always takes away points, rather than giving them..what a silly little ****! don't take him for this course, but for Nuclear Medicine he is really saucy!
Presents everything clearly. Makes study guides and his power points available. Funny and smart.
Dr.Bryan is an excellent teacher, especially for Nuclear Chemistry. He is extremely helpful when you don't understand what is going on. He is very personable and understanding. The bad remarks seen above should be ignored, CHM 104 is just a hard class.
Dr. Bryan was by far, the best professor I have ever had. He is more then willing to help a student out and a very personably and kind man. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
Good class! Lots of fun and was definitely easier than most other chemistry class I've taken!
Extremely helpful and very nice. Challenges the students, but retention rate of info is very high.
He is always available for help when needed, and explains things soooooo well! He seems to have real compassion for students and their GRADES and understanding!
The worst chem teacher i have ever had
Had him last semeseter, was really ****! Will never take him again! EVER!!!
Dr. Bryon is the best instructor I have ever had. He is very helpful and very clear to understand during lectures. I recommend him highly.
Dr. Bryan is one of the best teachers i have ever had. He never makes u think u don't know anything. He is always wanting to clarify any problems you have.
Dr. Bryan is the greatest prof. ever! I want to marry him! Well, maybe not marry him. But he is always helpful and hilarious. Chem isn't an easy course, but he does a great job trying to make it enjoyable. What a stud
Dr. Bryan is so so nice. He actually cares about the students-even though it is a large lecture. He tries to get to know the students and allows us to know him too. Very personable! Gave out candy for Easter and always has some nerdy jokes! Love him!
he is really nice and funny, but the tests are really challenging. if you're looking for an easy professor, i would not recommend him. pop quizes every week unless there is an exam.
Not an easy class...but hey it's chem! He does an excellent job teaching it and has a quirky sense of humor. I would recommend him but make sure you study for those exams!
The Man!
He's a great lecturer, if I like chem, it'd be a great class. Quizzes are random and they suck, as do the tests, but it's chem, so what do you expect?
Great Teacher
He has a great sense of humor, which makes it more fun to go to class.
Nice and funny guy.. but HARD CLASS!!! He is not clear, and isnt good at explaining things.. he's always rambling off the subject. Id recoment someone else
He is super nice and funny! Really hard class though!
His lecture exams are very difficult, lab quizes are even worse. Dr. Miller is a little easier and Dr. Hassinger for lab is excellent.
He's just a really good teacher and a really cool person. Very easy to talk to.
Dr. Bryan is a great professor. His sense of humor really makes the class more fun. The lecture part of the class is relatively easy, as he hands out his notes, but the lab is what hurts. Be prepared to write many formal professional reports. I was definitely challenged by his class.
Dr. Bryan is AWESOME!!! I loved the guy. He is very good at explaining what he is teaching and if you go in for help outside of class, he is always willing to put down his coffee & doughnut to help you. He tells interesting off-the-subject stories to keep you laughing in class. I recommend him!!
Very helpful but his tests are a little hard. He throws pop-quizzes so you have to go to every class almost.
He is an awesome professor. He is extremely helpful and very clear in what he is teaching. If you go to class and do the homework and ask questions, its an easy grade...but it is chemistry.
I really liked him as a prof. He tells some dumb jokes, but it makes class more interesting. He's also very helpful in lab and will answer any questions you have. He also puts his slides on D2L for you to print off!
I recommend him to anyone.
He is a great guy and he is always willing to help you when you don't understand the material. His tests are challenging but if you try hard and you don't really get Chem like I don't you should still walk away with a B/C from the class.
Before taking this class, I was scared, but looking back, Dr. Bryan was one of the best profs i've had thus far. He is always willing to go out of his way to help his students! His tests were tricky, but he really teaches you to think critically...highly recommended!!! Kept me awake at 7:45:)
He is a one of a kind professor. Highly recommend him to those who have difficulty in chemistry. He articulates and provides humorous experiences that help you relate to the subject at matter. He is able to grasp your attention even at 745 am.
Dr. Bryan was an excellent teacher. He is very helpful and wants his students to succeed. I would recommend him to anyone, especially if you're nervous about taking chemistry. He will make it interesting.
I did not learn a thing in this class. He would have us do a worksheet each week but would not help us on it and the tutors he recruited to help us study were told by him to NOT help us in any way on the worksheets. When asked how to do a question in class that he hadn't done yet he couldn't answer it cuz he hadn't worked it out yet! TERRIBLE!!!!
Awesome prof, but just keep in mind that its CHEM, so it won't be easy if thats not your thing. If you make an effort in class he's always more than happy to help :-)
Dr. Bryan is a good professor and keeps you interested with his funny comments. The class was a tough course but he did the best at making it clear. Study his notes very well in order to prepare for the tests. Advice just keep looking over the notes and ask questiongs.
his lectures are kind of boring and the homework isnt that hard. He does have extra discussion sections before a test and he makes them very interesting with his humor. I recommend him.
Best Chem 103 Prof. He is helpful all the time and awnsers all of your questions. Tests are not tricky if you know the lecture material. He even helped me get into chem 104 when it was full. Overall a great guy and great professor.
Very good teacher. He keeps me awake with his humor even at 7:45 am. Read his notes and know how to do the practice questions and you'll be fine for the test. He also hold review sessions and is a lot of help during discussions.
very good teacher, 7:45 lectures sucked, but he is very helpful, and i thought his jokes were hilarious even though most other people didnt!
He is a good professor and explains the material very well in class but his tests are pretty hard, especially if you aren't very good at chem. He likes to give pop quizzes so make sure and attend lectures and discussions. Don't take him if Chemistry doesn't come easy for you
I think he was a good teacher, and he did hes best to keep you awake at 7:45. He assigns a lot of homeowork and if you learn that and understand the notes you will probably do well in the class because the tests are pretty hard. Discussion helps so you should porbably go -not to mention he likes to throw in pop quizes.
doesnt go over the material on the test in class really just an overview. classes were boring and homework is due everyday. not much to say about him
Tough grader, but good teacher...expect to work hard and learn a lot. Really good about grading and handing stuff back, usually the next class period. Probably the best professor I've had, in terms of learning new material, but his exams are hard, so be prepared for a challenge.
I had him my freshman year and I love Chemistry. He gave me a challege but was always there to help you out when you need it. He is always reachable from AOL or in person. He is my favorite professor ever! He is an amazing guy, but can be tricky if you dont like Chem. He will always help you out tho. Nicest teacher ever!!!
what do electron domains have to deal with marshmellows?! just a heads up, questions are often related to marshmellows.
Best professor i've had, made me really like chemistry. yes, it's really really hard but he's really good at explaining it and keeps you awake at 7:45. tells funny stories, tries to get to know you even though there were a hundred kids, he knew most of their names. really helpful if you go in. AWESOME guy and professor!!!!
I really like him as a teacher. He explains well and what he lectures on is on his tests.
He's a good teacher. He knows what he's talking about and portrays it well. He's always willing to help. His exams were somewhat difficult and VERY consistent. The only thing I hated was how often our exams were...I always felt rushed and that didn't help on the exams...
I really liked him as a professor. He was always willing to help and his discussions were very useful. I liked how we had a lot of exams, about seven, then you would forget what you learned from the previous chapter. I would definitely recommend taking him if you get the chance.
Very fun class because he keeps the mood light with is korny/funny jokes. Very willing to help out of class. You do have to study for his tests quite a bit, but you learn a ton from the class, and he is the best chem teacher I have ever had.
Dr. Bryan is not very accomodating to the needs of his students. He moves VERY quickly, and covers more chapters than the other professors. He also gives one test every two weeks.
He was a great teacher. His lectures made perfect sense and he provided great examples (usually with marshmallow's). His class was not all that hard but he will challenge you, so if you work hard you will do well. You should defiantly take him.
Very good teacher. If you are looking for an easy professor, this is not him. However, he helps out a lot, and his lectures are pretty straight forward. He adds a lot of humor to the class to keep it interesting. I really learned a lot and would recommend him to anyone looking to really get a good foundation in chemistry.
Dr. Bryan is a great professor, very helpful! But it is a tough class and you will have to put a lot of work outside the class to get a good grade. I highly recommend.
Dr Bryan is an amazing professor. I have had him for 2 courses and will have him again this semester. He is not easy, but teaches so well that you learn the material. I didn't study much for the final because i had learned most of the material well throuhout the semester. He's VERY helpful outside of class too. Don't be shy in his class.
I would like to say that this professor is the man. He is really one of the coolest professor's, he use's funny CHM jokes that no one laughs at and then he laughs and the whole class cracks. Very helpful guy and will make you earn your grade. I would take Dr. Bryan for any CHM class. TAKE HIM!! (wrong rating below)
This guys is awesome! He's great at answering questions and explaining things in multiple ways if you don't get it the first time! He will definitely challenge you, but he's also very encouraging. I wish ALL of my professors were like him!
Picks his favorites early and is an impossible grader for those that aren't. I barely passed and spent hours studying and working on the problem sets. Not as nice/great as everyone makes him out to be.
One of thee funniest teacher i have EVER had at UWL! His book is what he mainly teaches out of so make sure to read it along with each lecture! It also is REALLY helpful with the crazy hard problem sets. He usually never directly answers your questions since he wants you to reason it out yourself..but really thats the best way for you to learn!
one of the best prof. i had in UWLAX and in Saudi. Great personality, clarity, but a hard grader. He knows his area very well and always keep the lecture very interesting. if you EVER have to take Nuke Chem there is no doubt the best to teach it.
HE is the best chem teacher i have had or known at UWLax. I would take him over every chem teacher, explains things very well. He makes lectures funny and i want to attend them every time. HE even danced one time (awesome)
Take him! He is super funny, which generally keeps me awake in the morning, and I am not a morning person! He even takes the time to learn everyone's name. You have to study for his exams, but it is worth it! I wouldn't want to take this class with any other professor! Great guy!
Dr. Bryan is THE best professor I've had at UW-LAX. He takes the time to know everyones names and truly cares about his students. He makes lectures fun and knows how to teach. His tests are hard but what do you expect? Overall he is a super nice and fun professor who I HIGHLY recommend taking!
Dr. Bryan was a very tough teacher when it came to tests, but he taught the material so well I still didn't need to study as much as I did for prior chemistry tests. As everyone else, he is very fun and keeps a 745am class pretty entertaining!
I don't think I got the same Dr. Bryan everyone is raving about. Tests are near impossible, with new material being introduced on exams. Had to study more than any other class before.
He is a great professor and wants to make sure you understand the material. He will meet with you to go over anything. There are homework assignments and pop quizzes, so you need to attend. His exams are pretty difficult but study hard and ask question and you will be fine. He was my favorite professor yet.
Bryan is a good professor, but gets easily sidetracked. He tells many stories that pertain to his home life and tries to make jokes. His presenting of class material is not very good, and you will have to use the book a LOT. Its a tough class and he doesn't make it much easier
In the dry topic of chem 104, Bryan's stories were helpful in keeping me awake at 7:45. He is also extremely dedicated to his students. He teaches out of the book which I found extremely helpful, instead of only having one source of information, you have 2.I would not hesitate to take him in another chem class and I highly recommend him to others.
He's a good guy but not necessarily the best professor. Class is always interesting, but also always very hard. He expects you to figure a lot out on your own. You have to put all of your focus on his class otherwise you're not going to do well.
Byran is honestly one of the worst teachers Ive ever had. He does this stupid thing where he gives pop quizes in the first 5 minutes of class so even if your a few minutes late your grade gets goes down the drain. Also nobody cares about your stupid personal stories they dont help me. You make me hate chemistry.
Professor Bryan is a great professor, if you keep up with the homework and study hard for tests! Take advantage of office hours and do ALL of the assignments...even the ones labeled as not mandatory! He sometimes puts exact book problems on the graded homework, quizzes, and tests. If you do all of this, you will be just fine!
Dr. Bryan is a great dude! His nerdy jokes are really funny and keep you interested. His lectures go straight by the book and are actually pretty cool. He does a lot of examples so learning the material isn't too bad either. As with any chem class though you have to put in work outside of class. I definitely recommend Dr. B. He's a boss.
Jeff is a really down to earth kind of guy. Keeps thing interesting and his stories help a lot.
Dr. Bryan is a really down to earth guy. He understands that chemistry is a hard topic for most students and it willing to work with you if you are struggling. His lectures are very good and he follows along with the book. I would definitely take his class again.
Dr. Bryan is a great man. He cares about his students. He explains things very well in lecture and makes it fun to be in class. He makes you want to come to class eager to learn ( I had his class at 7:45). His jokes are awesome. Best professor on campus.
Dr. Bryan is one of the most intelligent people that I have ever met. Definitely makes you work for your grade, tests are difficult. Extremely helpful in office hours if you are having trouble. Do what he suggests and you will do decent. Very funny in lecture and makes it very personable. I also loved how he learned all his students' names.
Very good professor, difficult class
Keeps class interesting, loves what he does. I feel very prepared for CHM 104
This prof is very straight forward about what he wants and expects from you. He has last minute reviews the night before tests so you can ask your final questions. His power points are on D2L but he says some stuff only in class so don't skip! Tests could be kind of rough but overall good prof!
Dr. Bryan was an excellent teacher. I loved his stories and jokes, they helped me stay awake for his 745 class, which I suggest going to. I struggled through this semester because of some things in my personal life and he was there to help me as best as he could.
Great guy. very funny. loves m&ms and nuclear chem
Dr. Bryan is a great guy, funny as hell, but his tests will fry you alive. Despite my best efforts I received a C in the class. I would recommend trying someone else if you can help it, if not, listen. To survive, do the cumulative problems at the end of the chapters, the old exams, and any book or online quiz available. Do them and know them.
Dr. Bryan is one of the funniest prof I have ever had. He definitely tried to make lectures fun when none of us were awake at 7:45. Yes, the class is tough but just make sure to understand the homework well and they are not as bad... also if you have him in lab read over the lab for that week very well and look over your work from last lab.
Dr. Bryan was such a wonderful professor. I would suggest going into as many office hours as you can even if you only have small questions. They were so helpful to me. He is a great guy that is always there to help you out. The tests are very similar to the for-practice problems, conceptual connections, in book quizes, and online quizes.
Everyone seems to hate taking Chem. If you have Dr. Bryan, you won't. His frequent, dumb jokes make a boring lecture much more manageable. There are short homework assignments after every lecture(similar to a high school science class) that are worth few point. i would recommend doing them as he often uses the SAME EXACT questions for exams.
Overall great guy and knows his material, however he is too intelligent to be teaching an introductory chemistry course. Read and understand the book inside and out or you will struggle with exams.
Funny (albeit strange) guy, kept lecture interesting. Does a lot of little things to keep students working hard and paying attention in class like lab report of the week or showing random star trek clips. He REALLY expects you to work for your grade- so be prepared to put in work. Very knowledgable. Generally approachable.
Really great at teaching, I learned more in this class than almost any other, and he makes lots of jokes and references to keep class interesting. His grading policy is a little outdated, often he'll dock points for things you didn't even know were being graded, so you have to put insane amounts of detail into every answer. Still take him though.
Really great professor. He knows what he's talking about. He will make you work for you're grade, but he's also very willing to help get you there. He genuinely cares about you passing the class and has a strong interest and actually enjoys what he's teaching. His lectures are interesting and you can see his passion for chem which is inspiring!
Doctor Bryan, or DB as he calls himself is a nice guy with a very strange sense of humor. Uses great analogies and his previous work within the chemistry field makes him a solid professor. He has quizzes for most discussions and every once and a while has a pop quiz in lecture. Book problems are due almost every class and 4 questions are graded.
Funny guy, he likes marshmallows way too much. His jokes make the lectures more interesting.
Very nice professor that cares about his students and their grades. Likes to crack up jokes in class and talk to students to get to know them. He gives out quizzes every discussion but if you study, they are easy. Exams are difficult but he tells you what to study for and helps you prepare for them. If you don't go to class, you won't pass.
Dr. Bryan is a very weird man and the stereotypical "mad scientist." he has no regard for missing quizzes/class for personal reasons no matter how good that reason is so be prepared to give your all to this class. You will definitely have to study hard for exams as he likes to use the exams not to test basic knowledge but to trick you. good luck.
Dr. Bryan was one of the best professors I've ever had! His dry humor and star wars references add fun at an early 7:45 class. His homework is graded for credit every class so make sure you do it. Tests are a lot harder and require more thought than the homework, but he is always willing to help. Great professor!
Dr. Bryan is a great professor! He uses a powerpoint for a majority of it, but then does math examples on the whiteboard that are not found on the powerpoint. So if you would miss lecture it may make the homework a little difficult. He likes to crack some dark humor jokes that are pretty funny sometimes.
Dr. Bryan is an awesome choice for Chem 103 whether you're new to chemistry, or you just need a refresher. In high school, I took two Chemistry classes and passed the AP test so at times class with Dr. Bryan was really easy. But he's really funny and I felt like he made an effort to connect with me as a student. Great to have if you're a freshmen!
Lectures are so interesting - I managed to stay awake even at 7:45. He really wants you to succeed and if you ask for his help, he will give it to you. Requires a lot of effort.. homework for almost every class and a lot of studying. But you'll get out what you put in. Exams are very straightforward. Quizzes are tough but most are group quizzes.
Dr. Bryan is a great lab instructor, but he's an incredibly difficult grader. It is extremely rare for anyone in the class to get full points on quizzes and labs. However, he does a good job of explaining labs and is great at answering questions. He will not round up your grade under any circumstance, so don't bother asking.
Best professor I've ever had! There is graded homework due every lecture and usually a three point quiz each week. The exams are similar to the practice exams and usually include homework problems. Very straight forward and easy, also funny and genuine guy. Don't take him if you wont do the homework!
Dr. Bryan is the best professor I've had so far! He cares for his students so much and really wants them to succeed. Everything covered in lecture is fair game for the exam so I advise showing up. Read the text book, do the homework, and go to office hours regularly with any questions or just to get to know him and you'll do great! 10/10 recommend!
Dr. Bryan is an amazing professor. He is very clear in his lectures and is very helpful outside of class. He make everything interesting. The class is tough but he makes it better.
Dr. Bryan is an amazing professor. He made an effort to learn everyone's name in our large lecture. You can tell he is passionate about what he does, he has a great sense of humor and is helpful and informative in his lectures and review sessions. He also made an effort to tell me when I did well on a test or quiz which really shows he cares.
Considering I took this at 7:45 I enjoyed being there. He had a great sense of humor and is really passionate about chemistry. He knew everyones name and will help you if you go to office hours. Also he grades hard on tests so make sure to know your significant figures. I recommend him for Chem 103.
When I first started the semester, Dr. Bryan seemed a little offputting, but through the semester I grew to love him. He gives very well put together lectures with clear information, and he is very entertaining too. He assigns homework for most days, and his exams can be tough, but he's always there to help when you need it. This is a must take!!
My favorite professor by far. He loves his students, classes are entertaining and funny. He gives small homework assignments every night, but they usually took like 20 minutes max (get lots of easy points). He also does 4-question "pop quizzes" almost every discussion BUT you work in groups and can talk w other groups (more easy points). MUST TAKE
Though this was one of the hardest classes I have ever taken, Prof. Bryan is very good. He cares about his students, is good at explaining when you have questions, and makes lectures fun. This was a very hard class (maybe more because of COVID?), so be ready for a lot of hw and heavy material. Though it was hard, I feel like I did learn a lot.
Dr. Bryan truly cares about his students and makes an effort to help them in anyway he can. I took the course fully online so we had video lectures with associated Canvas homework assignments, a group quiz each week during discussion, and 4 exams in addition. It was a challenging course but I had what I needed to succeed and learned a lot!
For online classes, Dr Bryan was the best professor I have had. His lectures are entertaining and he really cares about his students. He prepares you well for tests too
Chemistry is hard so do the hw and pay attention, but Dr. Bryan made it fun and interesting. He TRULY wants to teach students and share his love for chem. He spent a TON of time creating his lecture recordings, and it shows. He is happy to answer questions and is very easy to reach. Great online class set up, quick grader, and clear expectations :)
Dr. Bryan is an amazing lecture professor. He definitely cares about chemistry (and marshmallows), and makes lectures fun. His tests can be challenging, but he listens to students' feedback and will change exams or times as much as he can to help the students. Chem is a hard class, so definitely attend class and discussion.
WORST PROFESSOR IN ALL MY YEARS OF TAKING SCIENCES!!! There is no point in showing up to lecture because you are teaching yourself the whole year. You must read every chapter which is 40 pages because if you don't you won't understand the concept. Tests don't have anything to do with the material you learned and everything is guessing.
This dude rocks, there's no doubt about it. Chemistry is still very, very hard, but he really tries to make things easier. He cracks the occasional jokes, grades exams within 24 hours of you taking it, and knows his students by name, even though he has clearly had hundreds in his career. Like I said, this dude rocks.
He ruined every dream and hope I had for college. The worst class I have ever taken in my life with the worst teaching I have ever seen. He does not explain anything good, the exams are ten times harder than the actual course. None of the content taught relates to the exams and without reading everyday in the textbook you will fail the course.
I highly recommend taking Dr. Bryan for chem 103. He knows what he's talking about & he's super encouraging. Recorded lectures are available for students to review with or watch if they can't come to class and he has zoom office hours every week. He'll also give out optional book homework for practice. DO IT. IT HELPS!
Dr. Bryan is very knowledgeable in his field and and he genuinely cares about his students. Nuclear chemistry is a very tough class, but he explains topics clearly and his office hours are usually before homework assignments, lab reports, and exams so you can get in last minute questions. Pay attention and study and you'll be fine.
I honestly loved Dr. Bryan's class. He always livens lecture up with jokes and analogies; he's always kind and respectful of students; he's quick with email responses and always available for questions in discussion or online discussions; he's very smart and knowledgeable when it comes to chemistry. He makes his class fun and easy
Chem's difficult, but Dr. Bryan makes it fun. Lots of jokes. Prioritizes students' understanding. Consistent with lectures, assignments, and pace/schedule. Office hours 4 times in the week on zoom so very accessible. Never made me feel bad for asking questions. Practice exams given, but specific grader & no late work. 10/10 recommend for chem103
As a person Dr. Bryan is great, he is funny and very caring. As a professor however, he is very tough. If you don't read the textbook you will fail. There are so many things are you graded on and the exams are very difficult. He loves to put twists on word play in questions just to mess you up and really make you think. Don't take his class.
A very good professor who cares about his students and the content. He is quite funny, and knew most of the classes names even in a large lecture. There is a lot of homework, but I can help your grade. The quizzes you can work with your classmates on. The tests can be tough, but he gives the possibility of bonus points.
Dr Bryan is a great educator that cares about his students. He wrote the text book used in the class so you have a great resource to prepare you for the exams, which are very difficult. Lab covers interesting topics but lab reports can be difficult and it's almost impossible to get a perfect score. Sometimes Mrs Dr Bryan bakes cookies for the class
Dr. Bryan has been my favorite science professor thus far. I only had him for lab; however, he made it so enjoyable. He's funny, plays music, and makes you feel comfortable enough to ask any question you may have. Only thing is that he can be a tough grader, so make sure you study the post-labs a good amount before the quiz next lab period.
I had a great time in class. He kept us laughing even at 7:45 and was great at explaining. I was really scared to take chem, but he was a great professor and was very knowledgeable about what he taught. He grades things so quickly and you can tell he is dedicated to his students. Very accessible and approachable. Ask questions! It really helps.
One of the least sympathetic people I have met. Makes tests literally impossible, even for himself sometimes. He is a funny man but one slip up sometimes and you cannot recover. There is no extra credit or even any way to regain points. He takes large amounts off for small things oftentimes.
I took Dr. Bryan for lab because his reviews seemed decent. He genuinely is such a sweet person but I would not recommend ANYONE to take him for lab. I ask him questions on nearly everything for every lab assignment, and still end up getting terrible grades. I feel it extremely unfair and a terrible representation of my knowledge.
Such a nice professor. Make sure to read the book and do all practice problems. It is a hard class either way
Professor Bryan is a great lecturer who makes chemistry engaging. While the class is challenging, his recorded lectures, Zoom office hours, and optional homework help make it manageable. I found Unstuckstudy useful for quick study prep too.
Good professor overall but I only had him for lecture. Makes 7:45 class not so boring. Funny guy but he gives quizzes every discussion. Make sure you do well on homework and quizzes because those points add up. If you want to do well read the book, do practice problems, and actually listen in lecture. If you skip class, you'll be behind.
Dr. Bryan was a great professor. It was a hard class and he is kind of a hard grader, but he is super funny and very nice. Attendance isn't really mandatory but missing a lecture makes you feel behind he doesn't record the lectures and the slides don't have everything you need to know.
Dr. Bryan was a great professor, it was clear he cared about his students and wanted each of us to do as well as possible. He was readily available throughout various online office hours and through email. The class is difficult, an assignment was due every weekday before lecture and the exams were graded pretty stiff.
I had to drop this class and switch majors because he went so fast and didn't explain anything. I would go to office hours and try to get help but it was almost impossible
Great dude that's very passionate about his teacher. Sad to see him retire!
