Jeff is a tough teacher but knows his crap. Make sure you do all your homework or you'll be left behind. Id say take him if your good at math.

he is very formated, he has a b=plan and sticks to it. The perfect teaching style for math, you have to work but you will actually learn something. I would recomend.
dont take him in the evening.. he just wants to go home, and not teach, pretty funny, not too hard, lets you have notes on the tests which makes the class a lot easier.
Excellent. Easygoing, helpful, clear.
Teaches by examples, very easy to talk to. Always willing to help, has some jokes to keep it going, quizzes and tests every couple of weeks, tries to follow schedule.
Great teacher but far too meticulous about perfection with all work turned in. I think he might have OCD when it comes to homework format. Ever seen the show C.S.I.? Jeff Clark is "Grissom" to a T. (Gives group math quizzes, not fair to good
Jeff is an excellent teacher. He goes through the material slowly and shows you step by step on how to do a variety of problems. He'll help you anytime he can after class or before class. You'll definitly learn something out of any of his classes you take!
This teacher is sooo easy! He dumbs it all down to the point that u see pre calculus as being cake! He's a very approachable teacher and enjoys teaching. I wish I he would teach 1B for the fall semester!!!!
Jeff is in it just for us. Im sure he could be teaching at a big university. He wants his students to learn and always encourages students to come to him if they are stuck.
Excellent teacher!, Best I've ever had
Jeff did an excellent job. I was impressed with his eagerness to be helpful.
By far the easiest class i have ever taken.. I never went to class, missed 1/2 the quizzes... but still got a B!
good teacher. it had been a lot of years since I had Alg. but he was able to explain it so that most of it came back. Was fair on his grading.

He is a nice, friendly teacher who has been at the Petaluma campus as long as it's been open. He's always available to help students during his office hours and lets students know exactly what he expects. Thumbs up!
I really enjoy taking Jeff clark's classes. I have been lucky enough to have him for both of my math classes, and if I ever have to take any more at the JC, he is the first teacher I would look into taking them with. I wish my high school teachers had been as good as he is. He is very clear, and if you dont understand, he will explain until you do. He is very open about meeting for help in his office, and makes you feel totally comfortable going to see him. Very nice/good teacher!
Nice guy...does his best...doesnt overload on the work...wants to see you succeed and does his best to make it happen. Great math teacher. I got an A and I usually struggle with math.
I loved Jeff Clark. I took all my Math classes with him and always got at least a B. I never did well with math in high school, but once I started taking it with Clark, I actually started to enjoy Math...and years later, I never thought I would hear myself say this, "but I miss Algebra!!" I can't wait to help my kids and my husband do math.
I took him for Math 1B a year ago and it was clear that he did not know the material. He may be a good algebra teacher, but he should not be teaching Calculus (II). He did not know how to do many of the problems he assigned!! When confused, he sometimes talked about algebra!? I got an A, but I can only thank the book for that.
Great Guy.... Awesome Teacher
Jeff is hard but he is a great teacher. You have to go to class and pay attention. If you don't mind working in a class you should be fine. If you ever need help he's there. 4 major test and 4 GROUP quiz.
LOVE THIS TEACHER! First math class I've ever enjoyed, and understood! Taking him again for 155, even though it is at 7:30! It's worth it to know that I will actually understand the class. My only complaint is the group quizzes. When the other people don't really get the material it starts to confuse me with all of the opinions on the problems!
Very good teacher. Very helpful and fun... As long as you come to class he explains everything completly... couldn't be better.
Clark is great!!! I dropped another teachers class and went all the way to the Petaluma campus just to take him for Math1B. I would have taken the whole calc. series with him if he taught it. Take CLark if you can!!!
Jeff is a great guy! He moves at a steady pace but will take enough time to go over homework and answer questions. He grades fair and he makes the class interesting. Attendence is not a big grading factor so as long as your doing good in the class he doesn't care. I would definately recommend him!
hes a cool person i guess but he sucks at teaching, hard class, expects you to teach yourself with the book, doesnt even answer your questions, seems like he doesnt know the material himself. but you get to use book and notes on the tests with are done on computer, i still got c's and lower. beware.
He's truly a nice and funny guy. But if it weren't for me taking Statistics in high school, I'd probably have an average grade in his class right now. He's not very good at explaining questions asked in class, and he only has you attempt the homework, so he doesn't care if you get the right answer or not. But he does have group quizes!
very personable. i like his class but math was never my strongest subject. he can sometimes not really understand the material and gets stuck but always finds his way through. he is very helpful and ALWAYS available if you need the help. i tried my best in his class but he is a well-spoken teacher with tons of helpful tips. HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED
very good teacher and very personable. 4 group quizzes, 4 chapter tests (+ final), 1 assignment every class. takes almost an hour every class to review homework and answer questions. always availible during office hours. I have taken him for 2 semesters now (151 + 155) and would continue if possible. HIGHLY RECOMMANDED

He was ok. Not my fave math teacher. He was kind of hard to understand. He was really impersonal and didn't care about you at all. For a lot of it, you have to pretty much teach yourself.
Greatest math teacher ever --> i've taken 151 twice already, and couldn't get through it with the proffs teaching them. But wow, Clark rocks. His pace is impeccable, and he's funny.
Overall, very fair. REALLY stupid jokes, but a nice guy. Organized point system--lets you know what to do to get by. Offers some extra credit. He is late EVERY single day.
Clark was extremely helpful and very easy to understand. He lets you know what he expects of you and is very approachable. Do the homework and go to calss and you will be fine, it is a hard class though so be prepared!
He is a great teacher. Very organized as far as assignments, due dates, and point system. He explains very clearly how to succeed in the class at the beginning of the semester and stays consistent throughout. Tests aren't easy, but he throws out the lowest test score, so that's helpful. HIghly recommend!
his stupid jokes were entertaining. he's a little crazy. it's cool. but DON'T MISS A CLASS or you'll get behind in the lectures... which are pretty boring by the way... but he tries, at least.
It's teachers like this that really make the J.C. a great school. He comes across as someone who is super strict, but if you get to know him, he's like more an M&M (hard shell on the outside, soft on the inside). He's there to help, so take advantage of it, and if you do, you'll pass. He was very accommodating while I had a family emergency.
he is awesome, wish he taught the whole series of calc
Great teacher, explains things really well. You turn in your homework the day of the test, so make sure you keep up with the hw and not wait till the last minute. He gives group test before you take the real test.
Remember the show Cheers? This guy looks like Sam, or you know the show Becker?! Looks like Becker, acts like Becker. Good class, waiting for the rest of the cast to show up.
He explains the problems well, gives a lot of examples. You turn in all of the homework the day of test, which in one way is good since there is no pressure to get done, but bad if you need to see you have been doing it wrong.
He is 10 minutes late, even when he left a note that class would start half an hour late, he was 10 minutes later after the time he said it would start.
He's so grrrreat. He's a super duper helpful, and an articulate instructor. He always encourages you to go to his office to ask questions; so make sure that you will do it. He has 4 group quizes, 4 tests and 1 cummulative exam. Try to cooperate with Jeff then you will have a great time. Have fun and good luck
Quick pace, late, laid back. Nice guy, trys to help, fun.
Great guy, very helpful and makes a difficult subject easy to learn. Highly recommend!
Nice enough at the start but quick to cool off. If you don't get the assignment he can get a bit condescending (Not Helpful). If you already get the subject or have LOADS of time to spend with a tutor his straight forward approach is for you. If your skills are slightly lacking and your time is spread out over a full schedule then skip it.
Super helpful and even made comments about certain formulas as to where in life (interesting to me!). Super helpful when I needed to take my final months later due to an illness. Always helpful when I needed to ask him questions about problems. Highly recommend him even if lectures are boring (what math lectures are really?).
Quick class, if you have trouble count on spending many hours with your book and if you can go to the tutor center. Fun class, there are group quizes, and you turn homework in night of tests. He doesn't check problems only if it is neat and tidy and you follow instructions. Easy, nice laid back class, take this teacher.BUT,fast-keep or be lost!
Good instructor with easy to follow, no-nonsense teaching style. He is willing to remediate to a certain extent, but if you are chronically clueless then expect to get slightly embarrassed. The class moves at a brisk pace, missing a class could leave you slightly confused if you just don't get the textbook. He is anal about homework formatting.
Easy to understand, not that hard and offers extra credit. He's really anal about homework format and he can be rude at times. Don't let your cell ring or he'll kick you out of class (eventhough his has gone off before)... But I still recommend this instructor
I've had Mr. Clark for 4 math classes and I can tell you I woulnd't have passed math if it wasn't for him! He is extreamly helpful and easy to talk to. He is just a generally nice and good hearted teacher who wants you to pass math with many ops. to get extra credit. I wish I could take him for Math 15 next semester... I adore him !
Very good teacher! i cant wait to have him for math 27. Explains concepts very well, and is always helpful. Easy tests, lengthy homework but its not due until the test. Tests are easy 15 questions. So my only advice would to do the homework the night it is assigned to prevent cramming. sickk teacher, hella funny and knows what hes talk about!
Jeff is by far the best math instructor I have ever had! I definitely recommend taking him. He is always available to help both inside and outside of class and offers quit a bit of extra credit opportunities.
Jeff is a great teacher whom is fair and willing to go over questions any student may have. He wants you to do well and it shows in his lectures, he makes everything easily understandable but its on you to pay attention and retain the information. Great professor! Take him.
Jeff is an awesome teacher. He lets you do group quizzes, note cards on the tests, offers extra credit and goes over anything you have questions to. Makes math easy for any student. He also takes interest in his students. Highly recommend him.
Jeff is an awesome teacher. The class is fun and he has a real interest in his students. If you have an interest in math then this class if for you, he makes things quick so you don't have to spend forever reviewing and he's a really funny guy. Pulled a prank on the next door teacher during our class just for fun. I'll be taking his classes again!
Great teacher! I've had him for 3 different math classes and he's hands down the best there is. always helpful. if you want to try to get an answer a different way, he'll work it out with you to make sure it works. Easy hw, tests and quizzes.
Great teacher, very helpful. fair amount of homework with ample extra credit to fill in weak areas. Sets you up for success.
I'd have to say that Clark is one of the best math teachers I've ever had! He's able entertain his students with his awesome sense of humor, while also teaching them the necessary material. I took him for math 27 and although the class is a bit demanding when it comes to the homework, it's certainly doable! I ended up getting a B in his class :)
Very helpful. He would stay after class if you needed clarification with any math problems you did not understand. Easy extra credit points are allowed to be made up just by going into the tutoring centers. Group quizzes are very essaintial. Tests are a little tough, but assigments are simply graded on completness rather than accuracy.
Jeff is a great teacher! He is a students teacher. you are very likely to succeed in his class
Good teacher. Very focused on making sure you understand. Class was a breeze!
Jeff is awesome! encourages you to use the resources available to you (ie math lab, tutorial center) fair on tests, always willing to help. Apparently he taught middle/high school math, so he is VERY clear in his instructions - HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
He is an amazing Math teacher! Always helpful, very clear and helps you until you get it. Hands down the best teacher! Don't hesitate to take Jeff!
One of the best teachers I have had at the SRJC! He is really interesting and I rarely find myself bored in class. I'm more often tired then bored. I am taking Math 1a with him right now and I fixed my schedule three times just so that I could have him for Math 15 next semester.
biggest joke of a teacher... really nice but honestly confused the whole class more than anything and just got some guy on youtube to teach us! RIDICULOUS if you want to really understand calculus then take a different teacher but if you want an easy a take clark
I really struggle on the whole subject of math, but clark made it doable. He is very approachable and his classes arent boring. He is well organized and is true to the syllabus. I completely lack math skills but I am managing to get an A in his class, although I have been working very hard for it. Overall great experience.
Jeff is a great teacher, I have taken 3 different math classes at the JC and he is hands down the best. He is extremely clear in all of his lessons and goes slow to make sure everybody is understanding. He gives partial credit on exams if you make a simple math error and get the answer wrong. I would take him again!
Amazing teacher!! Best Math teacher I have ever had! He cares so much about his students, and helps you if you need help, gives a lot of extra credit, and is usually easy on the grading for exams (partial credit). Overall I will definitely be taking him again for Calc :)
weather you like math or not- TAKE THIS TEACHER! he is even tempered, focused, polite, and extremely helpful. i really enjoyed and understood his teaching style, & most students agree. hmwk wasn't too much (like 4hrs wkly), tests a little on the challenging side, but he offers a ton of extra credit, i found it easy to pass.
If u r looking to learn do not take clark. too laid back, makes concepts confusing, does not challenge you to think except on tests. unless u r looking to retake the class or want to just take this class for requirements i would not suggest this class. he is very cool, laid back and easy but his teaching style makes it hard to learn
Great teacher. but if math isnt your cup of tea, than his way of teaching could be confusing. I was confused but tutorial centers helped a lot. either way he is a great fun teacher!
Jeff is an awesome teacher. Very laid back and a funny guy. Sometimes he can get off track talking about random things, but other than that I was able to understand all the subject matter. He doesn't always go by the book, so pay attention. You can also lose points for minor details on tests and hw, so be careful! Other than that, GREAT class!
Super awesome instructor. keeps course interesting, sense of humor, nice guy. he is there for you.
HORRIBLE TEACHER!!! Didn't show up to most of the classes, or let us go early. If you need to get a good grade he is REALLY easy but if you need to advance in math don't do it...
He is one of the best Math instructors I have found. I have had three and all of them I have failed because the weren’t clear or didn’t help. He is very clear and if you don’t understand something, he is willing to stay after class to help you. The way his point system works no one fails unless you never do your hw and never do test.Great Teacher!
Super easy class, very slow, so if youre good in math might be too boring. tests are easy, do the hw and itll make sense, tutorial center doesnt know about how he wants it but you can get extra credit by going. Way to slow for me, but works for people who are confused, gets on many tangents, but whatever, easy class. easy tests.
Jeff is THE best teacher I had. He is funny, super explanatory of Stats, helpful, nice, and easy going. It is a hard class, so pay attention and do your work. It's easy to get extra credit and you can always go to the tutoring center and meet with him for extra help. The only reason I understood this class was because of his awesome teaching!
Best math instructor I've ever had. I've struggled with math since fifth grade, but he makes concepts clear and comprehensible, and is a very nice guy as well. I expected to struggle through this course with a C if I really applied myself, but I got an A in the end. Would take him again for 155, but he's on sabbatical in Hawaii this semester.
This guy is the BEST!!! he is so helpful, and has very good communication skills. It's hard to find a math teacher that communicates well, and I would recommend every student to take his class (and ask questions!!!) he is very helpful to anyone with a question.
Jeff is an awesome teacher. He is vey helpful and he makes sure everyone gets it before moving on. Long story short, I HIGHLY recommend taking him.
Jeff is a great teacher, I highly recommend him. He is very clear on everything and will not leave you with any question. He also loves people asking questions! He is hilarious too. He likes to crack jokes which lightens things up.
I have learning disabilities that make math classes extremely difficult. Clark made it relatively easy, even for me, to understand.
I would definitely recommend taking Jeff Clark if possible. He is very helpful and will try to help you get a better grade in anything if you are concerned. He also gives a good amount of extra credit!
Take him! He is so funny and very helpful. As long as you show up to class its hard not to pass the class. Everything he goes over in class is what is on the tests. You also get a note card of notes. Super clear with instructions. Great teacher
Jeff makes class entertaining for his students. He understands the struggle to excel in math, and makes it clear that he is always available. He gives partial credit on tests for attempting and gives lots of extra credit. Take him for any math class...
Jeff was great. He truly cares about our learning. I love that he made packets for us and went over homework every class. I highly recommend him. Make sure you turn your cell phone OFF.
He is a bit scattered when is comes to teaching class, however, he is nice and tries hard to convey ideas. Class had a lot of extra credit opportunities and was pretty easy if you studied and were prepared. Attendance is fairly mandatory. He may have been a better instrutor for a lower level class that wasn't 5-units, but he was OK.
I learned so much in Jeff's class. He always taught very clearly to prevent any confusion. He had an efficient teaching style/routine which most of my class liked. If you do the homework and pay attention, you will pass!
Jeff is my all time favorite teacher. He is so helpful, funny, and wants to see you succeed. I wouldn't say he is really easy, but not too hard. TAKE HIM, you won't be sorry at all. 1510
Even though I enjoyed Jeff as a person, he was inadequate at teaching pre calculus. I think it was out of his realm of capability. We didn't cover all of the required material and I ended the class unprepared for upper level calculus. It was very deceiving bc I received an A+ in Jeff's class, but now I'm hardly passing calculus I.
great teacher really helps
Took math 155 with jeff and he is my favorite teacher! not usually a huge fan of math but if you pay attention in class he is a very good teacher. he always goes over the homework questions that you don't understand and you will only have 4 tests the whole semester. I really enjoyed his humor i definitely recommend him!!!!!
He has packets for you to follow along with in class so you don't waste time winning down definitions and example problems, which is not only great during class, but it's awesome to refer to later! Grading is very clear and generous. Notes on the tests and final. Group quizzes and homework(not much) are easy points too! I recommend Jeff for sure!!
Best math teacher I've taken, gives you Extra credit which can bring up your grade by 10%(From using tutorial center) Quiz's are done in groups and are open notes. For exams, if you got a couple of wrong problems go to him individually and he'll let you redo that problem for extra points
Jeff is an excellent math professor. I have taken 3 different math classes with him in the past and all were good experiences. He gives extra credit and will go over any problems from homework during class, his notes are also very detailed. Math 27 prepared me well for calculus 1.
After taking math two times, I was on my last strike and desperatly needed a miracle to get through Math 155. Jeff was awesome and I passed the class with a B! He is awesome take him!!!
Seriously, I took math 27 TWICE, and I finally passed with an A . It could be his teaching style or maybe his herd of extra credit opportunities. I enjoyed his class he gave everyone these packets on the first day to take notesfill in the blanks so we could follow along faster. FRUGAL ppl he chooses the CHEAPEST book available yee yee
Jeff has to be the best teacher I've taken at the JC so far. He helps you when you need it, is very funny, and is a very nice person. He gives plenty of EC which is awesome. STUDY THE GROUP QUIZ. It is almost always like the exam he gives out, only different numbers. I've taken him for three semesters, so trust me.
I took this in the Summer 2015. If you want an easy A or B then he is the teacher for you. He has notes all ready for you to fill in during class & if you miss a class he lets you take pictures of the notes he has. He allows you a TON of notes on exams, most quizzes, & the final. Textbook is cheap. Do the homework & go to class & it'll be easy.
When i took jeff for 27 i had an easy time. I scored a 70 on my first test and was able to raise it to a high B after test correction. I took his class spring 2014 so im not sure if he is still doing the same. His test are from the examples and homework. hes not a hard grader. he will give extra credit. if you talk and ask questions he will like u
Clark is the man! He lectures and takes breaks here and there to crack some jokes. Really makes math enjoyable. One time we all guessed how many Hawaiian shirts he has... I don't remember the exact number but it's a lot! Cares about students!
Excellent teacher. He'll explain the concepts very thoroughly, and is very willing to talk outside of class if you need extra help. Jeff is a great guy who really cares about seeing you succeed. You can only show up for tests and still pass, but I would not recommend doing that unless you completely grasp the material.
Great lass, especially if you struggle with Math. Jeff allows a notecard (both sides) of notes for exams, plus a page (both sides) of notes for the final. Do good on the final exam and it'll double count, final exam plus he'll replace your lowest exam with final score. Gives EC for going to tutoring. Group quizzes. Participated with PALS. TAKE HIM!
Professor Jeff always gives you very clear direction in his class. His class makes me never feel boring. If you really want to learn math, take his class and don't miss his class during the semster. I think he is one of the best professor in SRJC.
Jeff is a really awesome teacher. He really wants his students to do well and will go out of his way to help you in any extra ways he can. Homework assignments are included in the syllabus on the first day of class, each section of homework(usually around 8 assignments) is due on the day of the exam, must stay on top of HW.. take Jeff!!!
Kinda boring (he's a talker). But a good guy with very clear instructions and grading.
He offers extra credit that can boost exam up 20%. He likes it when students visit him during his office hours; in the end, that borderline grade will be bumped up if youre close. His exams are very straight forward, no trick questions. Has study guides/group quiz helps for exam. Drops one Hw and quiz. lowest test score replace by half exam grade
Grades homework&exam based on if you tried, not if you are correct. Drops lowest homework of 4, and quiz of 4, but not exams. He will stop class if a student is on their phone, it's more distracting than them using the phone. Lets you listen to music on exam days though. Has 4 group quizzes where YOUR grade depends on other students work.
Great guy, clear lectures, fair exams. Very approachable in OH. Would have been happy to take again.
I took his summer Math 155 class. It was fast-paced but if you make sure to catch up with hw assignments and understand the material at the same pace as him you'll be good as gold. Just don't get lazy, you'll sabotage yourself that way trust me!!! He's a clear, detailed and knows what he's doing. Taking his Math 15 this fall!!
Jeff really wants all of his students to succeed. If you're doing really well or struggling he treats you with the same respect and works equally hard to make sure you understand the material. Don't be afraid to utilize the office hours and get help whenever you need it.
He does give extra credit, however I took him for MATH155 and he handled the class a lot differently (easier) in that. Math27 is a hard class, and I ended up having to take it with a different professor.
I had him for 155 and now Stats and he's been great. He's very good on giving feedback for tests and will even give you points back if you see him about it. Make sure you do your hw when it's assigned! They back up really quickly if you don't! Very accommodating for DRD students, let's you listen to music quietly during tests
AMAZING HE'S THE BEST
LOVED HIM
HE'S GREAT
awesome dude
simply amazing. so caring, kind, thoughtful, willing, and helpful. 4 group quizzes; can use all notes and textbook. 3 tests + notes on each. gives points back if you show him you know how to do it. clear and concise notes. 10 hours in math lab equals out to 20 extra credit points. he wants his students to pass, he care a lot. Genuinely a great guy
He is an amazing teacher,I am going to take a class with him on summar for math 15,he is very helpful for international student.
Professor Clark truly cares, and if you put your effort into learning, he notices. He is inspiring, and makes you enjoy mathematics!
He is a great professor, he is very clear on what he wants to see in the homework and must turn in before class starts. Does let you use a note card for your test and a full page of notes for your final. Has a pal that was very helpful for me to understand the material. He is a very caring person and will to help you understand the material as well
Going in to this class being bad in math was already tough, I worked hard all semester trying to get a good grade. I visited the math lab for numerous hours, met with the PAL tutor, and even worked with him. It was not easy by any means. In the end I had a 79.12 and he couldn't even have the decency to round it up after all I struggled in the class
I've had Jeff for Math 155, 15, 25, 58 & 1A (3 classes simultaneously in fall 16). He has a genuine passion for teaching. He wants to see his students succeed and grow intellectually. He'll give you all of the resources necessary for an A; it's essential to work hard, however. Extra credit, 3 exams and 1 final, 4 group quizzes, Hw due before exams.
This class makes you understand mathematics on a clear way without hating it.
Jeff is one of the best professors I have had at SRJC. He explains the material in such an easy way that it becomes very easy to digest and understand. Without Jeff's clarity in his lectures and explanations of the different topics, I would be completely lost. He is very friendly and gives sets all his student's up for success. Amazing professor.
I am a C math student normally and I received an A in this class! I was terrified of Statistics and am much more confident now! I appreciate Jeff! His lectures are clear and precise, he is funny (makes Hawaiian shirt jokes) and explains everything clearly. He is accessible outside of class! He allows 20 xc points! Take him if you want to pass!
I took him for Math 15 in the summer. Math is extremely hard for me, so I went in really nervous. Clark immediately made me feel better. He's super relaxed and easy to understand. He geniunley cares about his students and wants you to do well. He goes above and beyond to help you understand the content. Utilize his office hours, it's super helpful.
He's a great teacher and explains the concepts well.
Was a bit particular on trivial things, but beyond that was fantastic. Lectures were clear with multiple examples. Would stay on a certain topic until all understood. Very available outside of class for more in depth material questions. Tough grader, but willing to work with you on tests to help bump your grade up.
Gives extra credit, and provides a sheet of paper for you to use on tests. By far the most clear-cut criteria for any math 27 class. He is a very straight to the point teacher and won't beat around the bush to teach you any irrelevant facts. Despite the extra credit and sheet of paper, for an A expect to spend at least 10hr/wk studying for exams.
Great math teacher and person overall. Cares about your success. 4 homework packets (20 points each, lowest score dropped). 20 points extra credit for doing your homework at the tutorial center/math lab. 4 group quizzes which prep you for the exam. Lets you use calculator and front page of notes during exams, front and back on final.
Best math teacher you will get!!! Jeff has such amazing energy and intelligence. Sadly, Jeff took a leave of absence in the middle of the semester for personal reasons. I really hope he comes back to the JC soon; he is just absolutely amazing, and he cares so deeply about his students. If you put in the work, he will help you succeed.
Jeff was an amazing professor. His teaching style met my learning style and after not taking math for about 6 years, I felt encouraged and supported as I learned. He unfortunately left half way through the semester for personal reasons so we got a replacement instructor who wasnt nearly as clear and great as Jeff. But I will be taking Jeff again!
Jeff is the best! You have to take him!! Hawaiian shirts, hilarious, and extra credit is given. What else can you ask for in a teacher? Honestly, his grading system is great and he is really understanding if you just talk to him. If you don't talk to him he won't know how to help you.
Jeff was awesome. His grading system is so awesome, offers extra credit, and is genuinely invested in your success. I am terrible at math and I passed with a B. Show up to class, or you'll be lost. Overall, Jeff was AMAZING! Wish he was teaching 155 this next semester.
Best professer I have had. Easy A if you do the work, homework collected on exam days. He allows 20 points extra credit which can be earned by doing homework in tutorial areas on campus. Answers all questions and explains until you understand. Very funny, respecting and easygoing. Tests are moderate, group quizzes are easy.
Jeff is the best math teacher I have ever had. He is really good at teaching the material in an easy way to understand. He doesn't overload you with hw, but gives enough for you to really learn the material. We had 3 exams and a final and he gave extra credit for going to the math lab.
I would highly recommend
Lots of homework, lots of Extra Credit, hard classes but he was always really kind and helpful. Nicest professor I've had at SRJC!
Lots of extra credit. Seriously one of my favorite professors ive had at SRJC. He is very supportive. I suck at math and got a B. He gives group quizzes. Homeowork as well and his test are ok but hell give you points back if you meet with him during Office Hours. I highly recommend.
I loathed math until I took it with Professor Clark. He is incredibly organized, and well prepared. I took him a few semesters back and still think about his fantastic teaching ability. I wish he taught every subject. Show up to class, turn your phone off, and do the work and you will do great. Thanks Jeff!!
Great teacher would take again but not teaching the class I need next fall.
Clark gives good feedback and will help you through the topics best he can. He Is not a bad grader and will hear you out if you think something is off on a grade. His class reader is extremely thorough and definitely helps your understanding of the topics.
Prof Clark is awesome. I found him to be clear in his lectures even though we moved fast, approachable with questions, very fair in grading quizzes and exams, and genuinely caring toward his students. I'm not a math person and had to work very hard to get the concepts down, but it's possible to get an A!
Math is definitely not my strongest subject but Jeff made me enjoy it! He truly cares about the success of his students. I took Jeff over the summer so yes, it was extremely fast-paced. But, he offers extra points if you correct your mistakes on the test/team test. Also, he deducts your lowest scores on homework, quizzes, and test.
First Math teacher I took that NEVER took notes in class. I wrote about 1 full page of "notes" that took me 3 class lectures to do. He made a joke at the beginning of the semester that two of his students spent over 150 hrs in the math lab, I thought he was joking. If you take his course be prepared to learn on your own. math is my strong suit too.
Clark is probably the best math professor at the SRJC. When I first joined the class, there were tons of people trying to sit in the class for an add code. The class consisted of mostly lecture. There were group tests and individual tests in the class and he graded leniently. The final exam was a cakewalk. Just an overall good professor.
Mr. Clark was a good calculus teacher. He seemed like a really relatable guy and was always very understanding of our difficult circumstances (fires and wuhan virus) and changed his teaching plan accordingly. The homework was easy and only graded on completion. For tests, he would drop the lowest exam score and there were also group tests.
Prof. Clark was by far the best math professor I ever had. The class itself was not challenging for me, but I felt like I was always engaged. Everything we do in class is straightforward. He has a generous policy regarding grading his tests and quizzes. The tests are not hard and he sometimes allows us to take the tests together in groups.
Mr. Clark was the G.O.A.T. No bones about it! Class was super chill and he was relaxed about everything. The grind never stops with this guy.
On the first day of class, there were around 25 people that were sitting on the floor trying to get 5 add codes for the class. At that moment, I knew Mr. Clark was a well respected professor. His lectures are very straightforward. His homework is fine and answers are in the back of the book. The tests are hard, but there is so much extra credit
Mr. Clark was probably one of the fairest teachers I've ever had. Seriously, if you have a question about your grade or anything else, just ask him! He's super approachable and always makes sure you understand the information expected of you. Overall, wonderful teacher and awesome class!
Clark was a really fun guy. He seemed very personable and I always felt comfortable asking him questions. My lasting memory of his class were the group tests. I really liked them because we could get together in groups of 4 and all do the problems together and correct each other. He wanted us to learn and earn high marks in his class!
Jeff is awesome! Took this class online after putting it off for YEARS, because I was so afraid of statistics. He gives you plenty of opportunities to succeed- show up for class, do the homework, quizzes are taken in group form, and exams aren't too bad at all. Wish I had taken it a long time ago, actually having fun.. and still have my "A!"
Left Math at the end because I have always thought I wasn't good at it. Well this professor changed my perspective in math. HE TRULY CARES. He wants to help, he wants you to succeed. It really motivated to try and I am so glad I had him as a math teacher. I am sad he is retiring, he will be missed! I feel ready for Math 156 thanks to him!!!
Jeff is a great guy, big heart, great math ability. But there is just ALLOT OF REPETITIVE HOMEWORK
Jeff was such an amazing teacher! Hes very organized and his teaching style actually worked extremely well for me. I left his class actually learning a lot which is big for me because math hasnt been my strong subject ever.
Solid, solid math teacher. Sets you up for long term success in your math journey. Nice man.
The best math teacher I've ever had. I took this class during a summer semester so it was faster paced, but he still was able to teach the material in a way which I could keep up with.
Incredible math teacher with a clear grading criteria. Jeff offers a lot of extra credit opportunities and genuinely wants everyone in the class to pass. Homework almost every night, but not collected until day of exams. Textbook required for sure. Group quizzes are involved, but he drops lowest group quiz score and exam score. Would take it again.
I highly recommend taking Jeff for your math courses! He is super helpful and very clear on what he expects from you. I've always had trouble with math and passed his class with an A. 10/10 recommend!
Amazing teacher! At the start of the course, he makes you purchase his manual( for like $20-30), but that manual has all of the notes and information you need to pass the class easily. He goes over each section directly from this manual so you can follow along. Tests are extremely easy if you can do what is on the manual, lowest test I got was 98.
