Mr. Cleveland is one of the best professors I've had in college. Being that I've been to quite a few that's saying a lot. He responded well to students' questions and made topics relatable to everyone. It was easy to be involved with class discussions because of his energy and dedication to the subject. Take a class with him and see!

Great Professor, just one paper during summer semester, lot of quizzes (but they are all open book and pretty easy), he is VERY easy to understand, fun, passionate about subject, definitely take him for this course.

Jeff is a great Professor I had him for Micro and Macro passed but classes, he keeps it interesting and fun the whole semester.

This was my teacher for both Micro and Macro Economics. I would rate him as one of the best professors I've had to date. He presented economics in an engaging, well structured manor. He emphasized critical thinking while incorporates real-world examples into the curriculum.

Best Professor I had so far. Macro economics is a hard course, however his lectures really do help you understand the course. The teacher gives 200% effort when we're having problems or if we need a few more points.

Professor Cleveland is hands down the most chill and fun professor at HCC. Wonderfull professor, very reasonable, and a fun to talk to about anything.

Pretty laid back teacher, and is willing to help. Expect two 1500 word papers, 12 discussion post, multiple choice test,quizzes,practice sets, and final. He takes points off for attendance as well. All tests are open notes, but are not crystal clear as far as finding the answers. I suggest making a friend to conquer the tests.

Was there every time I needed him, made lectures very understandable, gave plenty of time to do homework and was never late. Great professor looking forward to having him again.

Had Professor Cleveland for five week summer course. The class was a fairly easy A if you did the work and came to class. He was willing to help you whenever you needed it (before class, after class, online). All of the tests were online, which took some of the pressure off because you could take them anytime or anywhere. Overall a great class.

Professor Cleveland was probably one of the best teachers I have ever had! He thoroughly understands the content he teaches, is always there for you when in need, and most importantly, he is fun! The text book is completely free and can be downloaded. There are only open note quizzes and one paper. Taking a course with him is a must! Easy 'A'

Cleveland is a great professor! Super friendly and always willing to answer your questions and help. His summer course was fun although there is a good amount of material crammed in every day since it is only 5 weeks. The textbook is free and online. HW and online quizzestests are not bad as long as you read material. Definitely take his class!!!!

Professor Cleveland is one of my favorite professors I've had. He was willing to help you in any way possible, very understanding. I took Econ 101 over the summer, and I did not feel overwhelmed by the amount of work in the short period of time. The content of the course was well-explained and I would most definitely take one of his courses again.

Best overall teacher ever. Get this teacher for both Econs. This class will go for just another boring required course to something your glad you took. PS on first day of class take between 15-20 sheets of toilet paper. You will thank me later!!! (He passes it around start of class)

Professor Cleveland is one of the best professors at HCC. Initially, I was very intimidated by Econ as I had heard how rigorous the subject is. Professor Cleveland made everything very easy to understand and was always willing to help you out if you're struggling. His lectures were interesting, as well! He's passionate about teaching and it shows!

I took Cleveland over the summer. He's one of those professors that really wants you to learn and puts a lot into his lectures. The class was an easy A once you understood the lecture. Uses a free online textbook and his own powerpoints as well. Overall great class great teacher.

Good dude. Some of the quiz and test questions are worded really strangely, but are still mostly pretty easy. Textbook required is a free online text book. Thank you Jesus Christ I wish more professors did this.

This professor teaches with such passion, each lecture is great. He really love Economics in general. Text book is used but it's created by one of the professors so it's free. There will be online quizzes and homework and two papers and a final exam. Class was fun, not too difficult if you get things done on time. There is something due every week!

This professor truly enjoys teaching students, he goes the extra mile in trying to get students involved and attentive during class. The textbook for his macroeconomics was and free and easy to access as well. I had no problem showing up for almost every class because each class was engaging

Took this class in the summer. One of my favorite professors, really goes above and beyond to make sure students understand material. Provides very good explanations to topics that may have seemed tricky to some (or me). The slides he posts are really what the class is based off of, I particularly didn't use the book much but it is free!!

One of the best professors I've had. He is very knowledgeable and you can tell that he thoroughly enjoys the material. Furthermore, he is extremely accommodating of busy schedules. When an unexpected, extended work trip came up, he allowed me to finish the semester remotely. He was very easy to contact with questions or concerns.

Professor Cleveland was actually a sub for me because my teacher got sick and ended up becoming my main professor for the rest of the semester. He is super chill and funny and will help you out in any way possible to succeed in the class. Overall amazing guy and Id totally take his class again!

It was online class. He had a video that explains the lectures. Also, he had a zoom meeting for more support (COVID-19). He gives us good feedback with his thoughts for discussions. He was very clearly explained for each unit and nicely talk to the students. It was great to have professor Cleveland for Econ.

I was nervous about Econ before taking the class but Professor Cleveland delivered the content in a clear and digestible way! I took the online class over the summer. He made great lecture videos that we had to watch and then you just take quizzes, tests, and then the exam. He gives you multiple tries though and he was honestly so understanding. I totally recommend him even if you hate the idea of econ because he makes you think very differently Take his class if you can!

I was scared to take Econ 102 online over the summer but Professor Cleveland made it so EASY! He made great lectures that were easy to follow. He is just the best when it comes to microeconomics so take him if you can!

Prof. Cleveland was great. He had online pre-recorded lectures that took you through each unit we learned. They covered everything on his quizzes. There were a few projects that were imo easy and fun to do. We had weekly discussions that made me feel interactive with the class despite being online. He gave fair grades and always left good feedback

This was my second time taking a class with him. Last semester I took macro then I took micro. Hes a great professor as usual and grades everything ok time. I would 100000000/10 recommend his class to anyone. P.s micro is a little bit harder.

Ive taken Professor Cleveland for both macro and micro economics. His classes are structured amazingly. Theres one quiz and one discussion a week, the quizzes he prepares you well for through his recorded lectures, and he responds quickly to any questions you may have. Theres only two big assignments and hes a very fair grader on those.

Prof Cleveland was probably one of the most laid-back prof this semester for me. Even though he has weekly discussion boards they aren't too bad. In general his practice quizzes and real quizzes were also not too bad. He does have like 3 essays you have to do in like spam of 1 month (finals week) that's the only negative other than that he's great

Professor Cleveland is the best professors I have ever had. He is very knowledgeable and takes the time to break everything down making the material easy to understand. I took one of his classes a year ago and I liked his class so much I took a second class taught by him.

I took Prof. C at the beginning of the COVID pandemic. I want to be clear though, the class was HARD, but the professor made it bearable. I enjoyed MACRO much better and found MICRO quite difficult, but Prof. C was understanding and was always there to help. Pay attention to due dates, but most things are due at the end of the semester.

This class was not difficult at all. As long as you listened to his lectures or read the material, you'd be good for the practice question assignments and quizzes. Professor Cleveland gives great feedback as well. Not too much workload.

He is a nice guy. His powerpoint lectures are really great and helpful. You barely need to reference the textbook. Overall, he's an easy grader. It's mostly participation-focused. There's one annoying assignment that is worth a lot of points, makes zero sense, and is dripping with his political opinion. (Class as a whole agreed.) Only complaint.

Professor Cleveland is always available outside of class to help. He also gives really good lectures that are clear and easy to understand. Assignments are clear and the Professor gives good critiques on each assignment.

Take Professor Cleveland's class he actually knows how to make course material in such a way that is easy going for students. He was also tremendously impactful in helping me in the final week of the semester when I had a lot going on. His course work actually helps you utilize critical thinking in correlation with real world economics.

Honestly this guy is really engaging and interesting. His personal takes and experience is evident in how extremely knowledgeable he is. ALSO, if you are a busy person who works, has kids, etc. this guy will go OUT OF HIS WAY to help you succeed in his class, as long as you show him respect and put effort into your work.

This was my last class of my undergraduate career and I'm so glad it was with Professor Cleveland. I struggled a lot with health problems this past summer and even though this five week course was extremely fast paced and overwhelming, Professor Cleveland was extremely understanding and flexible about due dates. Amazing professor all around!

It really was a pleasure taking Macroeconomics with Professor Cleveland. He made some of the otherwise difficult material easy to manage, quite fun, and memorable. He is very knowledgeable when it comes to Economics and just overall a good guy- if you need to take ECON, definitely make sure to take it with him.

He has fun games he plays with students to get them understand the course better (stapler game, cush ball game, international trade game) he's a great professor

My favorite professor. He gives good feedback, and if your ever stuck on a certain topic (which you wont be) he'll help you understand. He makes learning about econ fun. The class is very enjoyable and I wish I could take his class again.

Great teacher! Geniunely motivated to go to every class, was clear and transparent while being respectful and mindful. Hes funny, he knows how to make a lecture interactive, and he understands others. He was actually a subsitutre for our professor at the beginning of the semester, but ended up teaching the whole course and I am very happy with it!

He is very easygoing and fun to learn from. All of his lectures were well taught, easy to understand, and made note-taking straightforward. The games were also enjoyable and helped me learn many of the concepts from a first-person point of view. Overall, he is fair with grading and always provides helpful feedback and good critiques on assignments.

Professor Cleveland is a Great Professor!

He was very a great professor. He normally teaches 7 week classes but when I had him I was in a 15 week, however I believe their was plenty of time to get all the material done in 7 weeks. He's a pretty chill grader and lenient on late submissions. I would definitely recommend taking this course with him!
