He was extremely easy. I am a mom and remember my childhood etc. I only attended midterms & finals. The term projects were real easy & I turned them in at the beginning of the semester.I got straight A's both classes. If you go to him he will do his very best to help you in any way.

He is an extremely kind teacher and does his best to help students do well. He is funny, but goes off topic a lot. Only an hour of lectures are relevent and the rest are jokes that take up way too much time.

He may seem very talkative at first but if you listen you can learn a lot from his stories and examples. He is very fair and made the subject relate to everyone's lives! Read everything in your book and talk during the discussions as often as possible and you will get your A.

One of the best teachers at Mission. Very knowledgeable about the topics and applies own experiences, which keeps you interested and makes it a whole lot easier to understand the material. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Both classes were very easy. If you attend lectures, and skim through your book you will pass with no problem. The first day lecture made me a bit nervous that it would be very hard but no it was a walk in the park...if thats what you want

This online class was incredibly easy. There are a total of 3 online tests, each consisting of 50 multiple choice questions. There is really no Final since the 3rd test is basically considered the Final. You also need to submit 4 essays of about 500-700 words each. Also, each week we were required to make 1 post on the discussion forum. Easy A!!

A rarity in a teacher - can be interesting and LOL funny in the stories that he tells to illustrate points. Seems like a genuinely nice guy. Very clear about what's on his mult-choice tests. Do the basic work (take notes and read the 1-2 chapt/week) and you are almost assured a good grade. There's one research project due. Enjoyable class to take.

Very good teacher. He give the impression that he's tough/mean, but he's really not. He is very informative, funny, and just the teacher anybody would love to have. I recommend ANYONE to take a psych class from him. Be sure to enroll early so you can get him! :)

As long as you show up to class for his lectures and get the notes, you'll know what's gonna be on the test, so you know what you need to study. All his tests were multiple choice, and you only had to write one easy paper. Read the book for homework if you want a guaranteed A.

Jeff is an awsome teacher, I took his class in the fall, passed with a B+ and didn't even study or read the book. I do recomend reading and taking gooood notes though, because all of the test are based on part lecture/part book. I just signed up for one of his other Psychology classes this fall. I cant wait. He made me love Psycholgy.

I had Cormier over the Winter session online, so I can't give a good account on his actual teaching. I think he's a fair grader, maybe even a little easy. He seems to give extra pts sometimes. I got 100% for the midterms because of that! I did learn, but it's not comparable to a semester-long course.

He writes out all the notes you need to take on the overhead. I hardly ever touched my book. The tests are very easy if you have access to angel learning. He makes class very interesting. I strongly recommend taking him.

Jeff is a great teacher. The tests for his online tests are tough if you haven't read the chapters. He's great at explaining things and interesting to listen to. He is reasonable on the amount of homework he gives for class.

I never met him, just took his online class. It required a basic type homework posting. A research essay. And online tests. The tests were extremely hard to get a good grade without studying...so study the study guides! The essay was pretty hard, but I got 100% on it so I don't know how hard of grader he was on that. I got a B.

The most understanding teacher you will ever have. Even if you screw up in the worst ways possible (won't explain), he will listen you out and help you. Great teacher. Online class wasn't TOO demanding, just make sure you stay on top of all the deadlines and you will get an A. Online timed tests were a pain at times, though. (Really specific Qs)

Jeff is different from a lot of instructors in that he wants to see his students suceed, and will do what it takes for them to do so. He also wants you to understand the material and I think he secretly wants us all to change majors!

I took his online class. The textbook he recommended is great! Totally clear and useful, it's fun somehow. His tests contain 5 short questions but you need to make your answers clear and it should provide enough information such as definition, mechanism, and examples. Complete the required tasks and you'll get A!

I took jeff's online class over the summer. I have never worked so much for a class and enjoyed it. Jeff used an online website for lectures and gave us downloadable powerpoints. So much material was covered online. There were postings, essays, online exams and practice exams. Use the resources available and its an easy A+. Would take him again!

Cormier is funny and makes class interesting. I sometimes went to class but I did all the required work. Take my advice and study the practice quizzes!! He puts a lot of practice quiz questions on his exams. Be a good student and you'll get an A like me! Two papers, a short chapter summary about every week, and 3 exams.

As a SJSU alumni with 2 BACHELORS. Came back to school for 1 more bachelors degree. This is my first time at a community college. Cormier has a great sense of humor which makes showing up to class entertaining, plus he always lets you know some of the major things that will be on the test. Online assignments such as weekly Angel Activity and the Online Quizzes help to prepare you for the test. Reading the chapters help you easily A's all his exams. Do the work & you'll pass.

Mr. Cormier brightens up the auditorium with his easy smile and openness. He seems to truly enjoy delivering his lectures and comes to class prepared with the day's topics. I took social psych online with Mr. Cormier. He replied to all of my questions within a day of submission. Do all of the discussion questions, 2 essays, 3 midterms, and extra credit and you will get an A. I highly recommend this class, it was interesting and an easy A.

Took Daniel Guich before Cormier. This guy is alright! Guich never took my response too seriously but this guy he made some helpful and encouraging comment on your essays. He makes you want to try harder.

Great professor! Attendance is not mandatory, but it helps to take notes and listen to his lectures for the tests. He likes to use the Angel site for much of his easy assignments. NO HOMEWORK! Reading book is recommended, but can still pass if you do not. Two midterms and a final, with two easy research essays.

Jeff Cormier was GREAT! Jeff is so personable, I honestly have no idea what the person below me is taking about..if you think cormiers class is hard you shouldn't be in college. I have taken Mr Cormier for 2 psychology classes and one sociology..He is a great teacher and he is not easy because school is not meant to be easy but he will def work with you in getting the A . Do not slack off and ask for help

I took his online class. He is very well organized and prepared for the class. Everything is made clear and well explained. He provides extra credit, and also gives some links just for fun. I really enjoy to take class with him.He treats you as individual, not just ''every semester student''.

Jeff is awesome. I took him for two psych classes and earned an A for both. Once I learned the style of his class, I stopped attending his class altogether except for tests. His online quizzes are basically his tests, and as long as you follow the powerpoint you can easily get an A. I never even opened my book.

I like Jeff's lectures because he applies the reading material with his own life a lot. It's not just a repeat of what you read in the book. If you are interested in Psychology, you will like the book he uses and his class. Just read, do assignments, follow directions, and most importantly, ENJOY. The material is great and Jeff is awesome!

Nice professor. Willing to help if you ask. His practice quizzes are VERY helpful. Some of the questions are on the midterms. Go to the lectures. He tells you whats on the exam. Do the essay ahead because he will let you rewrite for better grade. Read the book because this is how you'll get an A in the class. Doesn't curve any exams though.

Was expecting an easy A based on what others said. This class is NOT an easy A. The exams are really difficult, especially for students used to getting A's in Psych classes. I did get an A but that's just because the professor is understandable and offers about 15 pts EC. Easy B class but if you're aiming for an A, wouldn't recommend 925

This teacher is great. He has an awesome sense of humor, great examples and good relating. Doesn't make attendance mandatory or shun you for using your phone. I clearly understood the material and loved coming to this class. Class is lecture based as well.

Took him online in the summer. Really good and detailed video lectures and powerpoints. His 3 exams are all online. Video discussions per week which are just your summary or perspectives of the video or a topic. Having the book is a plus because his powerpoints are full of info. Fairly easy if you do the studying and work.

OMG TAKE HIM!! He is so passionate at what he does. He is super chill and very funny. Attendance is not mandatory, all of the notes are on Angel anyways. He never made class boring, and you don't really need to buy a textbook, everything on the FinalMidterm is from his notes, which are on ANGEL.

Long lectures, but they're very interesting. I took this class in the morning (starting at 7:45am) and the lectures never failed to keep my interest. Cormier comes to class on time, except for a few times in which case he made up for it. Good introductory class, definitely an easy A.

I took his course online. Very easy. For his test, make sure you read the book, listen to his lectures, and take good notes. His tests are a bit confusing but not that hard. For the homework, you post on a discussion forum and write out your opinion about a video. I would have taken his class in person but didn't have the time. Overall, 5 stars!

Prof. Cormier is by far one of my favorite Psychology teachers I've had throughout my college career. He is very helpful when needed and is very clear on what you have to do. I took 2 online classes and they were pretty much straightforward, easy discussions and tests weren't that hard. i would definitely take him again!

Doesn't take in person attendance - you just have to log into angel to count as attendance. I use a notebook for lectures, but I would suggest you use a laptop to take notes so you can keep up. Do the extra credit &angel activities. Super nice &funny! I'm a psych major &love his lectures - so interesting! Multiple choice exams. REP studies.

Awesome and honest lectures. He tells it like it is and is very good with giving feedback. Lectures are humorous and not boring. Show up to class, do the assignments (which are usually on Angel), do good on tests and you will get the grade you deserve! Very good instructor

Cormier is the best psych teacher there is. He gives you a lot of real life experiences of his and he is so funny. He is a very understanding teacher and loves to help his students. He sets you to pass his class. His tests are not hard at all. Put his practice test on notecards and study those. There is no way you can't pass his class.

His tests aren't super easy because they contain many conceptual problems. However, if you do the reading and take the practice quizzes, you should do well. I wouldn't say it's an easy A, but definitely an easy B. Homework is minimal. However, you definitely have to read the book to get an A on the test. I had to read the book twice.

My 2nd class with Professor Cormier and I highly recommend him. He makes lectures relevant and entertaining. Workload very manageable. Stanford REP (4 hrs), 3 exams, 4 Angel activities. Very student focused; genuinely wants his students to succeed. If you want to do really well, read the book. Taking the practice quizzes also really helps on exams!

I never rate professors on here but Jeff Cormier is the best teacher I've every came across while attending Mission college. He truly wants his students to be great. He truly cares. I took this class in Summer 2016. As long as you complete all assignments in a timely fashion this class is an easy A. There were 2 midterms, 1 final, about 10 discussion questions and a REP study project (not very time consuming). The tests are fairly easy.

If you put in a little effort into studying for the exams, you will most definitely receive an A. Read the textbook and do the practice quizzes. There are weekly discussion posts based on videos. You must also respond to another persons discussion post. He does not grade written work harshly. There are no essays.

Amazing guy and teacher. Highly recommend for developing a solid perspective of psych and fantastic potential life skills.

He's an amazing professor. All you have to do is show up to class, pay attention to his lectures, and take notes. Done. His lectures are also SUPER entertaining! There's only about 6 assignments outside of class, and they all are super simple. His tests are really straightforward and he's an overall amazing professor.

Hands down the funniest professor I've ever had. I took Jeff's Psych012 class at 9:20am, and he honestly made waking up early and going through all the traffic worth it. He's respected and experienced in his field. The exams were fairly easy. As long as you attend lectures and do the online assignments, earning an "A" is very possible. Take him!!

Jeff is a great professor! His lectures are awesome and he does his best to make them relatable. There isn't a lot of homework and the few that he assigns are very easy and are not that time consuming. He does leave us study guides for each section, so do take advantage of that; you need the textbook though. If you need any help, talk to him!

Jeff Is an awesome Professor! He makes the topic interesting and fun. It's like coming to watch a comedy show. Had a great time. He uses personal experiences to link the topic to be more realistic. Come to class everyday because he gives extra credit sometimes for those who were in class only. Had a great time taking this class. I recommend him.

I have taking his 3 Psychological courses and will transfer to SCU for the Master of Counseling in fall. He is a great encourager and warm coach to me. Without his confirmation and support, I don't think I have a courage to pursue Psychology as my life time major. He has rich experience for working at Juvenile center, many fun stories to tell.

He's a really good teacher, his lectures are really funny and even though he goes on a tangent, he still makes his connection. His assignments are are fairly easy, just the most important one of the experiment towards the end of the semester. Highly recommend taking this class or any of his classes.

Online Social Psych class is easy. Watch the videos, read the book, and do the discussion posts/exams. That's it. If you need help, he responds to emails quickly and is easy to understand. Just be sure to ask help if you need it. This is a cool class too!!!

All you have to do is look at all his reviews. Everything that is said about Prof. Cormier is true. Class is straight-forward. He has recorded lectures for some of the chapters or units, around half and hour long, and he's great to listen to. The videos you have to write about are sometimes boring, but you'll live.

If you're looking to raise your GPA, take his online class. Discussion forums and test determine your grade. The lecture videos he send online are good references. Easy and relaxing class.

He's a great guy. His lectures were relatable to everyone and really great to listen to. What's on his test is straight from the book so do the reading. If you're a psychology major, take his class.

This class is easy. Discussion forums are from the videos that is easy to respond. The exams are based on the textbook. Want to raise your GPA, take this class.

Very easy online class. If you're a psych major, I recommend taking him IN PERSON. This is only recommended for people who need this GE requirement.

I took Psych at another school and failed it twice due to unforeseen circumstances both times, but luckily, a friend told me about Jeff and wow... I loved his class! If only I could've taken his class in-person! His web lectures made sense and his stories are funny! If you do all the work, you'll be fine!

Social Psychology was such an interesting class. I was never bored and I enjoyed the content. Prof. Cormier was great as well! He responded to every email and made sure there was never any confusion. Hes really kind to students and tries to be unthreatening and gentle. His lecture is interesting and his tests are easy. Hes also chill about grading and late assignments. Overall, hes absolutely the best!

If you plan on taking a Psychology class, take him if possible. His online class was well organized. I enjoyed all the discussion topics. The research project was very easy. There are quizzes, midterms, and final. They are all reasonably timed.

He can be absolutely hilarious during his lectures. The class is designed for you to pass as long as you do the assignments on canvas (which is insanely easy) and pay enough attention to his lectures for the exams. When it comes to bumping your grade up at the end of the semester, he's very generous as well.

Took his online class in the winter. Great discussions and relatable. No research paper, just do the discussions and study for your exams and you're guaranteed an A if you put the effort.

Great teacher! Took him online. Follow directions and do discussions that are really not hard. watch the videos or read the reading and respond thoughtfully, following directions and its an easy 10/10. Test answers easy to find online or in the book. lots of Extra credit options. He is helpful, straight forward and makes the class easy.

My favorite professor in the entire mission college. So understanding and easy to approach, always available for help. If your going to take a psychology class only take it with Cormier. He is the absolute best at teaching and is always accomadating. You actually benefit from his class even if youre only taking it for credit.

Jeff is a great teacher! His experience out in the field really inspired the lectures, imo. One of the best psych teachers at Mission, 10 discussions, 3 exams, and an REP. Totally doable, finished the course in a breeze this past summer. Provided lectures and powerpoints for students to follow along! Clear instructions, will take again for psych12!

He gives so many opportunities for extra credit, all of the quizes are on quizlet, his lectures are engaging and he's overall a fantastic professor. Take him for every psych class you can!

He is really understanding, available & approachable. It was a really rough semester for me personally and he made time for me to help me work through a personal matter, so that I could get my head back in the game and save my semester. Honestly, just show up to class, take notes, do the weekly quizzes and reading and you will do well in the class.

Cormier is such a great professor! He wants every person in his class to pass with an A. There was one discussion post and one quiz every week. You have an hour to take the quiz and they're all open-book. There are no midterms, just a final at the end of the semester. For the honors section, we just had to type up an annotated bibliography.

Prof. Cormier has been nothing but helpful this semester even though everything is online. You get weekly unit discussions and weekly quizzes in the unit. REP through stanford is very fun and easy credit. You get 3 essays as well. Very easy and straightforward. Easy A!!!

I absolutely love this professor. He really cares about you being successful and wants you to learn the topics, instead of having it be all about the grade. You have weekly discussions that are easy and fun, weekly quizzes you can find on Quizlet to help you study, and a few optional videos. He is my favorite teacher so far.

Weekly quiz and discussion, the final, 2 papers, and the REP are the only things this class is graded on. There are also several extra credit opportunities available along the way. Prof Cormier's class is simple and easy, and he is a very understanding professor. I highly recommend him if you are taking PSY001.

My class was online, and all lectures were recorded and posted. He is pretty lenient when it comes to turning in assignments, so if anything is late he marks it as full credit. All that matters is if you understand the material. He also gives off generally good vibes :)

Professor Cormier cares about you. The material was interesting to learn, although he uses really outdated videos to do the discussion posts. I do recommend this class for G.E. About 12 discussion posts, 12 multiple-choice quizzes, no midterm, one essay at the end of the semester, and one final.

He is super nice and gives a ton of extra credit. He is open to questions and is super approachable. He gives you a lot of chances to get an A in the class, and just tells a lot of stories! His stories help us understand the topic. He also gives videos to watch to help us learn so we don't have to just read the book. Quiz every week, but super easy

He is one of the best professors I have had at mission college. I took this course in winter 23 for around 3 weeks; He is organized and knowledgeable. I do recommend this class for general education. this class had 13 discussion posts. 13 multiple-choice quizzes, no midterm and one essay at the end of the semester, and 1 final exam.

Professor Cormier has been one of my favorite teachers/professors throughout my educational journey thus far. I've taken his general psychology and social psychology classes. He made both classes very enjoyable and insightful. I wouldn't second guess taking one of Professor Cormier's classes again!

took this class during winter quarter. everything was fast paced but easily doable with time management. responds within a day if you ever reach out, at least in my post. there are discussion posts and quizzes for every chapter but as long as you put in the effort you can easily get an a!

There was a quiz (extremely easy) and a discussion post every week. His lectures were good but the discussion posts could boring considering a few of them you have to watch 1 hour documentaries. He's extremely caring and the assignments are a free A if you just do them. Always full points for discussions and averages for quizzes were around 90%.

I wrote the May 29th review for PSY001H and also took his CJ class. I'd have to say I'd enjoyed this class much better. It seems like he's just slightly more passionate about these topics compared to PSY001. There's a weekly discussion post (full points if you do them) and 3 big SAQ exams (averages were 90). Again, he's super kind and considerate.

Good and caring professor who always give feedback on work. As long as you do the weekly discussions forms, quizzes, and the expository paper adequately and on time, you can get a good grade in the class. Do the chapter readings and watch videos to help you prep. Also has students participate in REP which is amazing and has REP alternative too

Jeff is a great professor who cares about his student's health and personal life. He's been at Mission for a long time and before that at SJSU. He knows his material and gives thorough lectures. He is very flexible with due dates and lets you turn in things late if you let him know.

I like his discussion session the most.Very intriguing topics. He cares more about what you learn really instead of the scores. There is no final exam. Easy A.

Jeff is an excellent teacher who extends beyond his profound knowledge of psychology. His engaging teaching style, which emphasizes practical learning and research methods, makes him an exceptional instructor. I am eager to enroll in Jeff's classes again. Excellent instructor with very informational lectures. Attendance is not mandatory, but I recommend attending since he does expand on the material by giving lots of real life examples. Almost switched my major to Psychology! Definitely recommend for future students.

Mr. Cormier's style is very relaxed and flexible. Attendance is not mandatory, but if you go, you will just see him explaining the material. Very great teacher! Will always give out extensions even last minute, just don't take advantage of it and be respectful! Only get graded mostly on discussions and quizzes. Fun to listen to but sadly it's not the most engaging and easy to get distracted.
