Dr. Jeff made summer classes enjoyable. That was just amazing to me. He made cramming 4 credits into seven weeks seem almost easy. This was because he has such a way of getting through to everyone and making things interesting.

I tend to fall asleep in a lot of classes, but Prof Dykhuizen kept me awake. He made psych a fun class, way better than in high school. The quizes are straight from the notes. Word to the wise: don't ask dumb questions, he might single you out if you are dumb.

Dr. Dykhuizen is always willing to help. He is a really well rounded person which makes his classes very interesting. The first class I took of his was psychology and I loved his teaching style. Now I have him for world religions and it's equally as intersting. Not much homework and tests are fairly easy. I suggest you take him!

very knowledgable about the subject. makes class fun, the quizzes are fairly easy, they come right from the notes. i did not read one page from the book and still got a good grade, just pay attention. sometimes he singles you out if you ask a question that seems "to easy", it makes you feel somewhat stupid. tests are easy.

Made Psychology fun, very helpful real world examples- as to help remember the material. I at least read the chapter summary, and used books website to take practice tests. Quiz almost every week- would recommend this prof.

This teacher was the best teacher! He is very intelligent, non-judgemental,and understanding. I think one of the best things about this class is that he brings some knowledge of some of these religions from personal experiences. Oh yeah and he is very, very attractive.

He is a very good professor. He has a doctorate so he knows what he's talking about. It can be a lot of work at times. There are quizzes each week but they're only 10 points and they help you learn the material. We watch a lot of short movies, like 10 minutes. I highly recommend him.

The writing assignment was fairly easy as well as long as you kept up on the different parts and listened to his suggestions, then the final paper was an easy A.

I had Jeff for psyc and world religions. This man is the best teacher I've ever had. He was extremely thoughtful. He brought worldly experience to his lectures to help students have a fuller understanding of the material, expecially in the WR class. He just seems like a great guy with some wonderful stories. I'd like to just hang out with him.

Nothing much to say other than Jeff is a great professor! I would suggest taking his World Religions class. You learn a lot in that class, and the assignments are actually pretty fun. The guy knows what he's talking about.

This guy is the most amazing, thought provoking teacher ever. He brings a lot of personal experience to the classroom. Very funny, understanding and one of the most humble guys I have ever met. I have had three classes with Prof. Dykhuizen and I wish he taught more so I could learn more from him. Take this class it's amazing!!

I'm not sure about how he got the hotness factor, but he is by far the best professor I have had here at Delta. Very easy to get along with and is funny and helpful. You will take a lot of notes, but he makes every thing easy to understand. Mid-term was fairly difficult, but he makes the final easy. I would definitely recommend him to others!

Great Professor. Lectures are completely what's on the tests. Weekly quizzes are exactly what's on the final. Explains things to the best of his knowledge. Encourages you to participate in class discussions and really makes the subject interesting. Definitely take him for an easy A and to enjoy going to class. Makes 2 hours fly by.

Jeff was an awesome teacher, probably the best I've had outside of the English department. He was very engaged with the class and was clearly passionate about the subject of psychology. Jeff is a great teacher. He is very thoughtful when preparing the materials for class and if there is anything that you don't understand, he makes it clear that he is available to help you. He seems like a really sweet guy and I agree with the wantingg to hang out with him outside of class. He comes across very down to earth and I learned a lot.

One of the best teachers I have had the privilege to learn from. The class is heavily focused on the lectures (which are excellent). Course notes and study guides are provided. The unit application papers only need to show you can logically apply concepts from class. He will usually tell you exactly what he wants to see in each paper.

HE is an amazing teacher, you need to come to class to fully understand his concepts, but come to class and read the book and you will pass. Its not just basic defintions, its really understanding the material you are presented! Excellent Professor!

Wonderful teacher! Very enthusiastic! I liked the subject of the class to begin with but I think he made it very straight forward and easy for everyone. Learn new material one day, review the next day and have a quiz. Repetitive but simple. A few papers, graded well but not to hard. Final was also a breeze. The teacher is what made the class! :)

Amazing teacher. Always lets the class know when tests are. Final was not cumulative of entire semester. All tests were very easy and so were the papers.

Jeff is such a GREAT professor. if your debating between anyone TAKE HIM its a no brainer. He makes everything so clear and if you don't understand it will take not only a couple minutes to explain to you he will explain it to you until you DO understand. I absolutly loved him and would take him AGAIN.

Make sure you take notes and you'll pass the class with an A. Makes jokes and tells stories to make the lecture less boring. Will call on you if you're not paying attention though. I highly recommend taking him!

Professor Dykhuizen has been one of my favorite college professors so far. He communicates clearly, and when I had questions he was more than willing to answer them both in and out of class. He can be a bit of a tough grader, but he is willing to work with you. You can tell that he really wants his students to learn.

There are no tests in this class which is also a plus. He enjoys what he does and it shows because he is damn good at it. I would recommend him to anyone!

Jeff gave amazing lectures. He is always willing to help students. Theres not a lot of work in this class as long as you attend lectures. His exams can be finished within a half and hour, and he reviews all the material on his quizzes right before you take the quiz. If you attend class, you don't have to open the textbook.

I love him as a teacher! I was so uninterested in taking psychology but he made me want to learn more. He's extremely great as a teacher and honestly the best teacher I've ever had. Just make sure you take notes and look off of the ones online. Quiz's are based off of the online notes. You never use your book at all. Greatest teacher ever!

Jeff is an amazing professor. I took him for Intro to Global Peace. He was always understanding and helpful whenever I needed anything. His lectures can go on and on sometimes but what he says is usually interesting where you don't mind. Participation is a must, and so is attendance. Absolutely loved this class and would recommend.

Great professor, loved his class! You don't need the book, but it's helpful. I would take any class he taught. Great lectures, lots of experience. He brings a passion to his job that most professors don't.

Jeff is wonderful. He gives excellent real life applications of the ideas you're learning. Lectures can be long, but not dull- sometimes even very moving. He will challenge you to be able to support your ideas, but not to the point of making you feel silly. The few papers are simple and interesting, and quizzes, though frequent, aren't difficult.

Great Psych teacher. Be ready to take a quiz almost every week that is worth 10 points and to write 3 papers. Two of the papers are 3-4 pages and the last one is an Application Project that is 5-6 pages. His quizzes are easy as long as you pay attention and is willing to go over anything you do not understand before the quiz. Highly recommended.

I loved Dykhuizen as a professor! Expect quizzes about every week though. His lectures are very interesting and the papers correlate with the class really well.

He is pretty easy going and passionate about the subject which makes for interesting lectures. Gives real world examples which I found very helpful. Three papers and quizzes over most of the chapters but not all. Offers clarification on information before quizzes and exams. I wouldn't bother with buying the book if you are a diligent note taker.

Great professor, seems to really care about student's success, no matter what field they are going into. Overall a very intelligent man. Gave great help when it was asked for and let's you know when your'e doing good, and will help when you're not. One of the best professors.

Has gotten to be one of the best teachers I've ever had. Makes the lectures inspirational and worthwhile. Made classes enjoyable and interesting. The class wasn't too easy and not too hard. He made sure everyone understood the criteria and didn't leave anyone out. Absolutely an amazing teacher.

Super easy class. He goes over a ton of slides which can be pretty boring, but he also has really good class discussions. Only time I used the book was before the test when I was prepping. You write 4 very short 1 page essays which go along with a short story that you read. Definatly take this class with Jeff

This class was a great class for those not going into psychology. He was very considerate and helped answer your questions whenever you had one. There was a quiz just about once a week, but as long as you study the notes, all of the questions make sense. There are also a few papers. A great teacher that is passionate about the subject.

Best professor I've had.

Hands down the best teacher I've EVER had. I was working three jobs and going to school full time, and the way he lectured made it so easy to remember what he taught, that I barely had to study. I learned more in his class than almost any college class I've ever taken. He is seriously the best. If I could take his classes for fun, I would!

Jeff was an amazing psych professor. He understood how people learned and it truly showed in his lessons. Never was I ever lost in his lectures and when you did, he helped you catch up very well. Although I wasn't a fan of the essays we had to write, but I could see the points he was making with them. His lectures always covered his tests.

This guy LOVES psychology. His passion shines. I had him for a two hour block but his lectures were so interesting and engaging that it only felt like an hour. Three papers, but he had a guide on what exactly he wanted from each of them.

DEFINITELY TAKE! Jeff was great, he was funny and made the class bearable to be in. We would go over a chapter in 2 class periods then have a 10 point quiz. There are up to 10 quizzes, but one gets dropped. Also if you're punctual and on time you get a bonus 30 points for participation. We only had 2 exams (midterm and final, 70 ?s) and 3 papers.

Jeff made a two hour class fly by in an enjoyable and fun way. Easily understandable topics because of the way he lectures, helping everyone get involved in the conversation. Would definitely take again.

Dr. Dykhuizen was phenomenal. I didn't need the book most of his quiz and tests came from the notes he reads from and he has them available on e learning. Three papers all with content that is interesting to write on and easy to accomplish. He gives good feedback on the papers as well. Jeff is a great person and is extremely passionate in his area.

Professor Dykhuizen is very enthusiastic about what he does, which makes the class extra interesting. He was open to answer any question that anyone had. There were less than a handful of papers due throughout the entire semester & only a few tests - all with clear instructions. This was my all-time favorite class; The assignments were very helpful

I took his class in the winter and loved it. Be ready to take a lot of notes though. His lectures and notes that are also provided online is everything you need to know for quizzes. It isn't that hard to pass this class even if you give minimal effort. Great professor!

Dr. Dykhuizen is an exceptional instructor, and amazingly knowledgeable. He uses real examples to show the relevance of what he is teaching, and not a second is ever wasted in his class. His grading is very clear and fair, and hes willing to have intelligent lectures and discussions. I loved every class, and I was always on the edge of my seat.

Very nice teacher. Took during the spring semester and made learning during the semester a little fun. The class was fun and used a little bit of life experience. I would definitely retake if I had to retake the class.

There were occasionally weekly discussion boards and assignments. The exams reflect the notes given by the professor so they weren't too difficult. There are 5 exams in total that will impact your grade heavily. I think that he grades tough, so be prepared for that.

He was one of the best professors I've ever had! He is very kind and willing to help his students with anything. Very lecture heavy and quiz once a week, but his quizzes are based off of lecture, so just make sure you come to class.

Jeff was fantastic. He knew his stuff and was ready for just about any question you could think of. We took a ton of notes but they were interesting and engaging for the class. There was a quiz over every section we talked about, roughly 12 or so, but the quizzes were not hard if you took notes and paid attention to his lectures in class.

If he is one of your first professors then that's great, but whenever you get other professors they might not meet your expectations of quality like he did. Overall I really loved him as a professor and it was a very engaging class as most of the people in there wanted to learn.
