Seems scary and strict at first but loosens up as the class progresses. Difficult subject matter but he organizes and presents the material in a very clear manner.Tests are difficult but not impossible if you pay attention and study. Sometimes funny.

Great class: informative/interesting/fun. Eichold tests directly from his preprinted notes and emphasizes only the impt info from the text. Lab exams were pretty easy. You'll need to study (of course) but with only moderate effort, you should do well in this class.

Mr Eicold is very knowledgeable about what it is that he is teaching. He isgood at what he does. He should have remained director over the science department.

Wonderful prof, even though the material is complicated... he breaks it down and makes it very clear and simple. This class takes alot of studying on your own part b/c the concepts are difficult. He is very down to earth and knows his stuff. I would recommend him.

Jeff makes the class very easy. Quizzes are announced and unannounced. Pretty much everything on the tests is in the lecture outlines. There is a lot of terminology to learn though. Only tests/quizzes turned in for grades...no homework. Just study.

jeff is one of the fairest instructors i have had in a long time, especially at o.c.c. the material is not easy, you do have to study but it is doable. it is important to attend class lecture and lab, i would reccomend him to anyone who needs to take a&p one or two.

Uncle Jeff was a great prof. Be in class on time, he locks the door. Storytime. VERY fair. Tends to disapear during lab. Check his office first, then the library. If not in these places he has left the floor and you have to wait. Exam 1 easy, 2,3 HARD, study notes and BOOK!! 4,5 are easier. Lab exams, no torso models are brought in for the 1 on 1

What a great professor. Mr. Eichold's class is difficult, but he is very fair. This is a topic you have to keep on top of and he gives plenty of opportunity for success through test, quizzes, attendance. Don't take him if you do not take the subject seriously.

Jeff is a great teacher! I loved story time! The lecture notes are given to you. You have to be in class & listen to the lectures. Test are a lil tricky but, with different test styles. SI mtgs are great! Lab quizzes are taken verbally by yourself or with a partner. Don't sleep on this class b/c its far from easy but, u will learn a lot!

Honestly, I did not like him at first. He seemed very distant and unconnected with his students, but he explained to us why we're just an attendance # to him. He grows on you; very easygoing, and funny. He's very good in lectures but you have to do your part by studying a lot. I wish I had him for every class!

Took BIO 2630 & 2640 with him last fall & winter this year. The subject is not that easy but he's such a great, smart, humorous, & versatile instructor. He's very helpful that he bombards you with lots of pictures & materials in D2L just so you'll learn. Study hard, ask questions - I reaped my harvest, I learned a lot from him.

Jeff is amazing. He is so dedicated to making sure his student learn the material. He will go out of his way for a student why truly wants to learn. With that being said he is not necessarily an easy A but an A is absolutely possible.

Mr. Eichold is the most helpful instructor I've had thus far in college. He is helpful, clear, kind, and truly cares about his students. He is ready to answer questions and is on time each day. The material can be difficult but he explains it well. He is very personable and easy to talk to.

Jeff's lectures are long but interesting. He really takes the time to explain the abbreviated notes packet he provides and you need to attend class in order to get a good grade. When he says memorize, memorize. The problem I had is if you miss class the day of an exam, you cannot make it up, you have to take that as your one dropped exam grade.

I loved Jeff! I took him for both I and II A&P. He is very helpful, very fair, and outlines very clearly what he expects from you in class and on the exams. The class material in general is somewhat difficult but he does a good job thoroughly explaining it. If you put in the effort, you will get an A and actually learn some information.

I took A&P I and II with Eichold and I loved him. He's highly intelligent and honest. He's taught for a long time and doesn't take any crap from students. You'll have to work hard but you'll learn. He puts SO much work into the class, he truly cares. I'm sure you're reading this Eichold: "A monocyte is a macrophage outside of circulation!"

His class is a bit overwhelming as I think all A&P classes are likely to be. Best part he tells you almost exactly what to expect on his exams. If he didn't have his SI Eric before and after every lecture it would be so much more challenging. He gives hand outs that some up most of the challening info and even makes it kind of fun!

Jeff really knows how to teach effectively. Great professor. If he has his SI instructor Eric, take advantage of it! He seriously rocks!! Anatomy can be difficult but his lectures are very enjoyable, "feeling" how hard he should press a particular subject. Very knowlageable, respecting students' questions. I took him only for II and had an A in class, most of it bc of his style of teaching. Huge difference between him and other instructors that I had in the past.

Its a tough class, but if you stick it out until the end... he really hooks you up. Most people don't take the class' last test. Its a hard class though, time consuming, but he really cares about the students. He's harder than his colleagues, but his education is far superior.

I took this class knowing that I was not the best with Biology in general. However, after a few months I began loving this subject. This is mostly in part to the professor. he did an awesome job explaining the material and a very good job explain what needs to be done to pass with flying colors! Prof Eichold is a solid choice for HAP if you are moving on in the middle field. You will learn a lot. His lecture exams are straightforward. Warning, his lab exams are oral exams. You will need to study extra because of that. But, they weren't bad. 4 lecture exams, 4 lab, and several quizzes with one test grade dropped. Be prepared to work.

I have never felt so sad that a class ended until today. A great professor makes all the difference. The class won't be easy, nothing in life is, especially if you're going into the nursing program you shouldn't want easy things otherwise you're in the wrong field. He genuinely cares that you actually learn something. I Loved his stories.

He is a fair professor and wants you to succeed. He gives out chapter objectives, which is your study guide for the tests. The tests are mostly off of the note outline that you must purchase at the beginning of the semester. He references the book, but you never really need to use it. The lab tests are extremely easy if you know the material.

THE BEST professor I've taken at OCC. This is not an easy class and he is not an easy teacher so you have to really work for your grade. I've learned so much in this class and it was actually enjoyable and Jeff makes you really love what your studying. Highly recommend him. 3 oral lab exams(easy) and 6 lecture tests and can drop 1.

A&P is known to be very difficult, but Jeff made lectures understandable, interesting& helped us to retain the information presented w/ photos and diagrams. Im a very average student and I truly put in the bare minimum of effort and got a high B. he doesnt let you get off too easy and you do have to do the work but anyone who has complaints is probably not a good student. His grading scale is percentage based which is SO EASY compared to point based. Take him!! also, labs are barely any work

Best class of my life. Uncle Jeff is an amazing teacher. He teaches you so many ways to understand a single concept over and over until you have it ingrained in your mind. AP 1 starts off intimidating, he's just trying to wake you up. Hang in there, and you will find a passing grade. An A is super manageable, but you'll need to dig for it.

Has clear grading criteria and tells you exactly whats going to be on the exams. Caters to every type of learner. Lab exams are verbal and only about 15 questions but can still be tricky

First, this is not an easy class. However, Jeff is so intelligent that he makes everything so clear to understand IF YOU PAY ATTENTION. He makes it very clear what you have to know for the test, even gives answers during his lectures so TAKE NOTES. He was wonderful and this class was wonderful, YOU WILL NOT REGRET TAKING HIS CLASS!!!

Do yourself a favor and take "Uncle Jeff". He'll start off tough to get you on the right track, but he's a very caring person. He is the best teacher I've encountered at OCC. I truly learned during my time with him and I know that it will help me in my program. I did much better on his lab tests vs written. Extra credit is offered a few times.

When I say this man is hands down one of the best and most fun teachers I have ever had the pleasure of taking. Its college, so you have to try, but he does everything in his power to provide you with a good shot at passing with a good grade. He cares that you understand what he teaches and go on to be successful in your practice. Highly recommend

If you record his lectures and study the note pack you should do well. Reading the book will put you over the top. Must study diligently for labs, if you do, those are easy A's. I would highly recommend taking this professor based of my experience with him in A&P I & II

Professor Eichold is the best professor I ever had. He is passionate about what he teaches and clearly wants his students to succeed. He offers a TON of information for you so it's almost impossible not to leave his class without a good grade. You have to put in the work. If you have the chance, take Professor Eichold.

His remote lectures are awesome! They're split into smaller videos so you can watch them at your own pace. He explains things in various ways to help you understand. The whole remote class was very clear and organized.

Re-took this class to change major& he is amazing!! Makes things VERY easy to understand. No textbook needed. Listen to lectures& take notes, you will get the 4.0 you need for this class. 5 exams, 3 practicals, lowest dropped. No hmwk/XC. Keeps material straightfwd, no tricks. Wish I could've had him in person! He is passionate about what he does!

This professor is amazing!! His lectures are very interesting to watch. He posts outlines for lectures and labs that help tremendously. Have never been an A student in BIO's until I took him. Definitely knows his stuff and how to teach. He has 8 tests, 4 lab, 4 lectures. If you watch his videos and study this should NOT be a problem.

Great professor! Dont skip, you wont pass. Honestly his teaching style isn't for everyone, but if you like "colorful" examples and a teaching style that requires practical application, this is your guy. Loved the class. Taking A&P 2 with him as well.

Mr. Eichold, in my opinion is an amazing instructor. He knows his stuff and willing to help those who help themselves. I believe he prepares you for a program beyond his class. There are no shortcuts, you have to study. There is no excuse he gives lots of visual aids. If your serious about your future medical career take Jeff Eichold.

the class is hard so keep that in mind. Make sure you read the syllabus before asking him questions! He challenges you to learn in different ways, he has standard scantron tests, written and verbal. He is also fair, if he sees you're really trying and improving he'll work with you to get the best grade you can

Uncle Jeff is the best AP professor to me. I learned so much from him. He made hard things easier to understand. I love his lectures. He provides good and helpful lecture outlines. If you memorize them all, you should get A. I definitely recommend him~

Professor Eichold is my favorite proffesor I've had at OCC. I am NOT a science person, but I got an A in A&P 1 and 2 with him. His lectures are clear and he tells you EXACTLY what to study to do well on his exams. If you truly study what he tells you to, you will do well. He is very caring and he genuinely wants his students to succeed!

Uncle Jeff is a professor that knows his material! He puts everything in relatable terms and teaches for all learners. He does not give out busy work. Course is strictly based on exams and quizzes; he drops 1 of the lowest scores. He gives very detailed lecture outlines. Study/memorize and you will pass. Do NOT miss class

I took him for A&P 1 and took him again for 2. He is my favorite. He cares a lot about his students, very personable. Has clear grading criteria, he may seem tough but it's cause he wants all his students to succeed. If he sees you care and are putting in effort he will go the extra mile to help you. Would definitely recommend him!

Professor Eichold wants all of his students to succeed and he sets them up for success. Not only does he provide multiple resources online such as previous lab/ lecture videos and images, but he teaches for all different learning styles. He is extremely professional and deeply cares about his students. He is an amazing professor.

This class is only tests, it's helpful for people that don't have homework time, but you need to have study time. The class can be hard, Mr. Eichold makes it as easy to succeed as possible. I would recommend anyone serious about their program taking his class. His sense of humor can be off key, but if you lean into it the stories help you learn.

Mr. Eichold is an amazing teacher! He wants all of his students to pass & understand what he is teaching. I took him for A&P I and got an A after taking it 2 times previously with a different teacher. He explains things very thoroughly and connects stories from his life to what we are learning. I highly recommend taking Uncle Jeff for A&P I and II!

I enjoyed his lectures and labs. He will tell you the style and coverage of the exam but its on you if you want to pass. All his lecture exams are all in his lecture outlines if you listen and study there shouldn't be a problem passing this class. Overall he is by far the best teacher I've ever had. Highly Recommended.
