The worst teacher I ever had at SJSU.I did not learn a thing from him. He is very prejudice about grades.He does not keep a record of all the hard work students do. I put in 20+ hours a week. Very insensitive! The most horrible experience I've ever had!!!

This is the worst class I have taken at SJSU. I went to every single class and did the reading, yet I failed. The professor does not help at all. If you ask him for help, he says read the book. HARD HARD HARD.

Complete waste of time! He's completely in love w/ himself and his position of power and authority. That's all you learn in his class. He refused to tell me y I recieved the grade I did & wouldn't tell me what I was doing wrong so I could improve it.

This guy is a joke I don't know how he got a job teaching. He was by far the worst teacher I have ever had. He has no concern for his students at all and seems to be in it for the money and to force people to listen to him talk about himself.

Agree with what everyone says. His exam is soley based on essay which is more like an opionated essay and if, it doesnt agree with his thoughts it's wrong and.All he does is talk abt himself and his sister.There many other better mrkt teachers

The easiest "A" i ever got! All you have to do is read the darn book. On his tests, make sure you refer to the terms in the book and relate it to the essay questions he assigns for the midterms.

This professor has no actual grading system he gives you essay exams and grades them without any explanation. I feel that this teacher is unfair, and too involved in his other careers to be a good professor

WORST TEACHER EVER! Never had a teacher base your entire grade on four test alone! If you are NOT a Bus Major and are required to take this class you should find a better teacher. Rarely discusses the topics need to pass the class instead talks about his life. Wants his students to be over educated like him. He will drop your GPA without a care.

don't take my rating in consideration as I took him a few semesters back. Just wanted to let you all know his advice on DUI works!! Got away with it twice already. Back then, there was only 2 exams (method by consensus). During class, ask questions;when you run out of questions, he starts asking questions. If you don't know the answer: Minus 1

Do not take him... confusing teacher and he does not teaches on related topic. 4 midterms (2 multiple choice/2 essays). You are able to replace a midterm with a 5 page essay. I found the essay to be easier. His essays are unclear therefore always clarify it with him. He also never lectures about the class but more about his life, useless!!!!

Evil teacher - avoid him. Runs a law practice from his office and thinks he is all that. Hands out copies of his resume to show how good he is. Lectures have nothing to do with exams. He enjoys giving out F grades and making fun of people. Did I say he's boring?

Do yourself a favor and take the course from another professor. He enjoys dumping on students during class, thinks he's God's gift to the human race, and has a terrible attitude. He's the worst professor I've had.

Kallis is bad news. He's hostile, makes fun of students in his classes, and enjoys handing out Fs. This guy is so full of hate that he's always looking for an excuse to attack someone. Don't take his class!

Don’t take his class. He is mean & weird! He is off topic. If u comes late to class during exam then u got to take a make up exam which is essay. Personally I didn’t learn anything from this class.

Extremely arbitrary grading on essay exams. Poorly worded questions you find out later meant something else. He uses this to prove you are "not thinking like a Marketer". Lectures ramble and are unfocused. Nebulous 10% of grade based on "attitude". No one knows how this is evaluated.

I have never felt compelled to rate any professors before, but he is THE WORST professor I have ever had. His grading is unfair and even if you get A's on everything, he will still give you a B as your overall grade due to how he "feels" about you. You do not learn anything and is sad because this is an intro to marketing class. DO NOT TAKE!!!!!!!!

This is the worst professor in the college of business. He doesn't teach the stuff in the syllabus, he hands out his resume to students to show how good he is, his lectures are boring and he's a real SOB - makes fun of students in class and always lets you know that he thinks you're a piece of trash.

JERK. Disrespects students; believes he is superior and "overeducated." Syllabus is biased; gives him upper hand; w/o compromise. 10% arbitrary portion of grade. Nonresponsive to emails. Most of class did poorly on essay test; he blamed students - had to add points to the test scores to get the curve he wanted. AVOID IF POSSIBLE!

Okay, i'll admit: his lectures are interesting. But other than that, he's a total jerk. He plays around with peoples grades. 10% is participation, and another 10% is his "subjective opinion of your attitude" which is, whether you walk out on class, are late, stuff like that. Study the chapter summaries, key terms, and bring a laptop to take notes

Arrogant, Egotistical and an outright jerk. Teaches 2 sections of the same class differently, and unfairly, because one section gets an easier exam than the other. Completely unhelpful and malicious to students at times. Not willing to help students that need it. The guy couldn't teach his way out of a wet paper bag. Take it with anyone else.

This is the worst professor I have ever taken classes from. If you do not want to learn any thing and pay to get bored for 2 hours every week, take his class. there is not a single handout, PP slide, team project or presentation in his class. He grades students based on tests which just need memorization.

Prof class has no presentations,nothing useful. He continuously talks in a graduate class and he barely allows any student to express their ideas.Its a total waste to take a Marketing class from this Professor. You will not gain any knowledge. You will be better off by reading some Marketing text books that wasting your time in this class.

Kallis or DR. as he wants to be called is one of the worst teachers I have ever taken. He never showed to class, he has an ugly attitude. He brings his stinky dogs to class and we learned absolutely nothing. His class is worthless. Completely a waste of time and money. Take Sibley he is the man.

Not recommended. I admit his lectures were interesting sometimes, but he doesn't treat students with respect. His exams were totally unexpected/hard, and he seemed to be pleased when he knew students were having hard times. Very educated person but not great at teaching..

I'm sitting here in class and all I can say is that I HATE HIM!! He is sarcastic, snide, unhelpful, unapproachable, does NOT teach, goes off on tangents about his life, does not repeat answers/info if you ask him to -- AWFUL instructor. Totally regret taking his class & when you leave early, you're berated and class laughs at you. Take at own risk!

On Some Real... i did all my work... and was in class everyday to listen to his pointless lectures and he still game me a D.. i have never got a D or an F in my college life and im about to be in my fourth year.. this guy has to be the worst teacher i have ever taken... 1 100? mideterm and a take home bogus final... beware of this teacher...

Extremely lazy. He's a ten year; he makes it clear as well as takes advantage of it. Thinks he knows everything. Doesn't do anything besides talks. Doesn't give homework, assigned a random group paper with ridiculous guidelines, and the questions on the exam are exactly what are on the practice exams. Overall, don't take him.

I?ve now graduated from SJSU, and in retrospect can definitely say Kallis was the worst professor I had. He doesn't cover what's on exams; you must memorize the book. He loves to hear his own voice, which wouldn?t be bad if he actually covered class material. I did not pay tuition to hear semi-amusing, off-topic stories. Inexplicit grader.

I regret taking his class. I studied hard but got a B. He did not understand that some students are whack; they're not even serious about group papers, which affect so bad other good students in their group. I don't think it's fair. "A" in midterm doesn't ensure that you're gonna get an A for the whole semester.

Horrible teacher, I wanted to fill out his SOAT student teacher evaluation thing, and he refused. Never wrote a thing on the board behind him, rarely said anything that was in the book or even quote the book, he just used his "real world examples" to somewhat relate to the material. his final was 4 essay questions. he acts like he knows everything

Exams and test are very very very hard, 15 questions but if you get 11 out of 15 its an F

One of the most apathetic and arrogant people you will ever come across. Not helpful and don't think going to him for help. 8 test multiple choice all on book and and a three question written Q/A final.

He is such a bad teacher. I didn't get anything from his lecture. His quizzes are extremely hard~and the average was so low. For our final grade, only 2 people got As, few people got Bs, most of the people(30 out of 40 people) got Cs!!!

Please avoid taking this professor!!! He is one of the most arrogant person I've ever come across, seriously. He is not sympathetic to his students at all and thinks his opinion are the only ones that matters. Going to his class is a complete joke. He is not passionate about the subject at all, he should just teach law!

His lectures are unstructured and are based on whatever he feels like talking about for that day. So, textbook usage is very high since he does not cover much in class. His final exam is retarded- He gives you 3 essay questions to answer and he is extremely harsh in grading it. There are no midterms but instead 7 quizes.Avoid him!!!

The class is not hard at all, but the professor is horrible. Students are required to subscribe to the Wall Street Journal. I think that is BS. We could get free news online-(GOOGLE)!!!. Don't even bother subscribing, it's a waste of money. 7 quizzes in place of midterms and a final exam. Easy class, but you'll have to learn on your own.

SJSU should give students the option to take this class online instead of cram packing everyone into a class with over 100 students. I personally didn't get anything from the lectures in Prof Kallis class. However, I got a good grade through reading the entire book.

SJSU does offer this class online and I agree with everyone here. I believe if you are lazy and don't want to sit in class, just take this class online. The class itself is easy, but Kallis lectures are useless.

I don't think he put any time into planning out his lectures. His schedule is also confusing. He'll change the date around a lot during the semester. Dr Kallis should quit teaching and focus on his law business, because it just seems like he does not care about the students.

Glad that he is retiring, so he can't hurt anyone's grade. Boring class. But exams are easy. I average 95%+ after 5 exams. It turns out he gave me a 80% B which made me mad. FROM 95% prior final to 80% after final. Final exam is a stupid take home essay exam, but the subject is totally unrelated to marketing.

This guy was a former cop. and he acts like it. his lectures are COMPLETELY composed of his life experiances and tastes. has NOTHING to do with whats on the test. take my advice. instead of wasting your time by going to class, simply use that time to read the chapter and you will do great on the test. this guy will not help you, the book will.

This guy does not care about his students. I dont even know why he is teaching. He was gone for 2 months and then came back. He lost one of my quizzes and when I told him he did not give a crap. Horrible instructor.

He is a horrible teacher. When I took his class, only one student got an A, about 8 students got B, B+ or B-, the rest of the students got the grades lower than B-. HORRIBLE!!

Assigned 15 page single space paper for final. Did not have fun in the class. Did not teach us anything just talked about cop career prior to teaching. Would slap myself in the face for choosing this professor if I could go back in time.

Terrible Professor. No continuity in his class. He doesn't update anything on canvas so you cannot tell what assignments you've completed. He is super rude in correspondence. I hated this course with a passion. Believe what everyone else says. Take this course elsewhere.
