Professor Knapp is awesome. Very down to Earth and, shall we say, "hip" guy. He'll keep you entertained while he teaches. Two big (and easy) tests, two essays, and a few in-class writing assignments. You don't even need to show up (though you get points for doing so). This was my favorite class this semester.

The tests are take home so no reason for a wrong one. Also you dont have to take notes, you dont even have to show up, he could really care less. Chill as hell annnnd besides the take home test we just watched movies that was it. The second day of class we watched the gladiator.. too easy

He is really excited about what he teaches about which makes it easier to be in his class. He is also extremely obsessed with Rome so dont say anything bad about it. Overall it was my favorite class this semester

Knapp isn't just an academic; he understands and appreciates what he teaches, which is one of the best qualities to have in a professor. The exams are take-home, but contain a lot of material. If you make it a point to pay attention during class and retain he information, you'll do fine.

This class is very easy if you keep up with your notes and tuen in your work on time. We watch movies and all exams are take home, so make sure you all you notes. The lectures are pretty educational-his first hand experience also adds to the class. The book is pretty key for his exams as well as some things from his lectures but overall it's a pretty easy class if you pay attention.

The subject matter he talks about (art, poetry, literature) could easily become boring in the wrong hands, but he does a good job making it fun. HUM2020:ROME was great!!!! Pro.Knapp made is so interesting and fun. I did not know what to expect, but it was good. Watched alot of movies in reference to Rome, which really helped bring the lectures to life. Would def reccommend to anyone who need a HUM class.

Professor Knapp is intelligent in his field, and makes class fun. There's not tons of hw, but it is expected to listen and keep notes. The exams are challenging but as long as you study and listen, an A is definitely possible. Everyday, listening to Knapp and learning more about Europe made me want to go there more and more! Professor Knapp is a great professor who is clear on what he expects from you. This class is not hard, nor is it easy, You are graded on 2 midterms with 2 essays going along with each midterm. There are 5 quizes and a final with 3 essays. I found this class to be fair and I received an A. If you study your study guide, you will get an A or a B

Great Teacher!! I loved how he taught the class. I had taken Humanities previously, and I hated it. Knapp made the class actually fun to attend. We had 3 tests based on class lectures and movies which we watched. We also had a couple of quizzes. I would definitely recommend him to any student!

He makes the class very interesting by adding to it with his own humor and jokes. On the tests, you do 50 multiple choice and write two essays at HOME, then bring it to class the day of the test. You watch movies such The Gladiator in this class... Take it!

Never used the textbook. Didn't need to, the man is full of knowledge. A couple of quizzes, 1 midterm, 1 final. As long as you pay attention during class (maybe) take some notes, then studying should be minimal. No homework except for the essays that are required with the midterm/final.

The favorite professor I have had the pleasure of encountering at FSCJ so far. I learned more in this class than I did in any other class. Professor Knapp makes a three hour lecture actually interesting, and I didn't struggle to stay awake. And he was more than willing to stay after class and answer questions. Best professor ever.

***LATIN REVIEW*** This is one of the most interesting classes I've ever taken. Not only do you get to learn the Latin language, but Prof. Knapp tosses in bits of useful info that can help you understand English, Spanish, French, and other languages better. This is a rough class, but very rewarding. If you need a second language. Take Latin!

*LATIN 2 REVIEW* This is my third class with Prof. Knapp. He is, as always, extremely passionate about the subject. Latin 2 was much easier than Latin 1. Why? I was able to use what I learned last semester and build on it. I'm kind of sad that there is no Latin 3 being offered in fall. Once again, I would highly recommend Prof. Knapp. Take Latin!!

The class is wonderful. One of the benefits of studying a classical language like Latin is that you must also learn the culture of the people who spoke the language to really understand what is being said, and Prof. Knapp teaches is very well. Very down-to-Earth, intelligent, and humorous.

Professor Knapp is such a great teacher!! He does lecture but he makes it so interesting and easy to follow! He doesn't give an overbearing amount of work, but he makes sure that you are following along and understanding the materials. I have loved going to professor Knapps classes. He is very open minded, and enjoys his topic. He listens to his class. The only thing I don't like is he takes awhile to post grades. It was a couple months before I saw the first one posted.

Not a defined course syllabus to follow, stresses creativity so you won't get a lot of specific instructions on assignments. Show up, participate, do your assignments and you will have no problem passing.

I love him! Ive taken him for two of my humanities courses and I got an A in both! He is so funny and youthful! You will laugh EVERY TIME u go to his class. I almost want to be his friend in real life! his class is not stressful at all. Just follow along and you will be fine.

Attended first 2 or 3 classes then stopped going. All homework is online & you have 1 paper to turn in in person. Super easy A. I stopped going to lectures due to some false facts they he taught. He teaches the subject well but it's noticeable by some that he hasn't learned and studied Latin extensively. Do your work & you'll pace.

I feel like i learned a lot in his class, even though he wasn't too lecture heavy. Would definitely enjoy having him as my professor again!

Great professor, One of the best Humanities classes I ever took. I learned a lot, He is very knowledgeable about ancient Greece in particular. Look forward to taking his rome class! Taught me things that i never knew, thought i was knowledgeable but i learned so much. Really cool guy, and easy to talk to.

Knapp is absolutely amazing and funny. When he lectures be ready, you do watch 3 good movies in the class that is part of your grade so stay up, 3 essays that are easy to do if you pay attention in class and watch the movies. No quizzes or exams. It's impossible to fail his class.

This guy was hands down the best professor I have ever had. He really opened my eyes to what really goes on around us and is super relatable. He does a portion of his HUM 2020 class on poetry and it will really teach you how to read a poem.

I took him freshman year and as a junior I can honestly say he's still the best professor I've ever had. His classes are easy, but you still learn a lot. He's very passionate and educated about the subject matter and relates well to students. Highly recommend, but his classes can be difficult to get into as they fill up quickly!

Professor Knapp is amazing! I plan to take class with him every chance that I get! I am transferring to UNF next semester, but plan to take class with Knapp at FSCJ. (I will be paying out of pocket just to take his class) He was fun, funny, and caring! He wants his students to succeed, not because it looks good for him, but because he truly cares!

He's awesome. He focus on real life humanity more that textbook. we had to write a small paper every week about what we discussed in class, but he made the assignments so easy to understand. Please take him for you topic in humanity. because is the best. you cant fell his class unless you you don do the work or just don't show up in class

Course was not what I expected but glad I took it. Professor was is way too fair in grading. He gives a lot of homework but then gain its not homework if you enjoy writing about the things that you learn and do in and out of class. I would say an easy A but you need to attend, participate in the class and do the work.

Professor Knapp is enjoys his job which makes this a great class to take. I would definitely recommend him. Im not an art connoisseur by any means but I definitely gained a small appreciation for certain types of art. Overall its a good class to take.

I learned so much from Professor Knapp. He makes you dig deep and really think before just giving him a generic response. He actually wants you to think outside the box. Show up for class, do the work and you will get a good grade and learn. No book required but you will read tons of articles.

Professor Knapp its excellent. I really really enjoyed this 7 week class. I actually learned so much, his material is very to the point, understanding and enlightening. He also gives great feedback that many online setting professors do not. There are 4 essays, the topics are challenging and make you think. There are 3 tests, all open notes.

Professor Knapp is able to make a boring subject entertaining, he is high energy, funny and willing to work with work schedules, illnesses, and parental responsibilities. 50% of what you will need to know is covered in class the rest is in the material he assigns you to read. All assignments can be submitted twice, time limits are liberal.

This is one of best professors I have ever taken. he really likes what is he teaching, and tries his best to make sure everyone understand. Respect to students, and let us share our opinions. Barely take on-campus class, but def worth it.

Topics in Humanities (Disease and Culture) I would highly recommend this course! The subject (content) is interesting and relevant. Professor Knapp is very knowledgeable about the course material and objective in his teaching to allow the class to form their own opinions!

Minimal assignments and quizzes. Very interesting essay prompts that require critical thinking about our culture today and how it relates to ancient cultures. Prompts are left wide open for creativity. Tests are very easy as long as you follow the study guides and read. Easy, clear grading expectations. Loved this class. I completed it in 3 weeks!

Probably the best professor I have had yet. You 100% need to take him and will have an amazing class no matter if its big or small. You will probably have 3 essays total. But he gives you plenty of time and is not a harsh grader over common mistakes. Wish he would teach my other classes

Very rarely am I excited to read about an assignment, but I was always ahead in this class because I couldn't wait for the next module. Professor Knapp gives great, detailed feedback and is always encouraging and inspirational. I would definitely take a course taught by him again.

I would take this class 100 times! It was so interesting like another commented stated I would read ahead. The class I took was about Disease and culture throughout history. Professor Knapp was super helpful and the assignments were very easy long as you read the material. 7 week course and passed with an A .

He is an easy grader. It is a fun class, but it still requires effort to get an A. He also replies to emails quickly for your questions, and he opens a discussion board for every module. He will announce the students every Friday morning to tell them what we will do next class. The final project is interesting because we build our own module.

His class was not hard. His class was my first online class and now I have a better opinion about online classes. Just do the work and go to tutoring. It was interesting to learn what was taught in this class.

Incredible professor. Fast at replying to emails and if you misunderstand anything he does a good job at helping/explaining how to do things. I 100% would take another class with him, and would recommend him to anyone who needs a humanities class still. His lectures are great as well, and he's really good at keeping energy up in the class.

Pretty fair grader on essay's, there are a good amount but the essay's are fun and aren't that tough. If you complete the study guide, you WILL ace the test. Best study guides i've ever had. After taking the online course tho i wish i had gone to him in person.

For the A7 session, we ended up doing 3 essays, and 4 quizzes. I genuinely learned a lot about Disease and Culture & Professor Knapp was there to answer any questions. He is a very fair grader and has very clear expectations for your essays. I would take his course again. :)

One of the Best Professors I have ever had the pleasure of taking.

I took a C7 (seven-week course in the back half of the semester), so everything was pretty truncated. I didn't learn much, but that is because I am an Anthropology nerd and already knew about 60% of what was covered. The teacher understood when I had a small mishap and let me turn in an essay late. Cool teacher. Would take it again.

Professor Knapp makes this class engaging and easy to learn. No textbook required, just his great lectures and clear expectations. Unstuckstudy helped me prep for the online exams. Definitely recommend taking this class if you need a humanities credit.

Professor Knapp was a gem of a teacher. To be honest, I did not want to take a Humanities class (it's not going to help me in my career). But since I HAD TO take a Humanities for a prerequisite, I thought the topic of diseases/plagues of the world was the most interesting. And my goodness it was! If you like history, you'll love this class.

I think Professor Knapp was amazing. The amount of reading was A LOT, however I found that it ended up being very informative. Being a some what fan of history, the idea of learning about disease as a topic was pretty clever. I learned a lot from this class and really enjoyed the reading selections chosen by Professor Knapp.

Professor Knapp was great. HUM2020 is one of the first classes I took starting college and his class has encouraged me to continue. He's a great Professor, occasionally hilarious (if you understand his humor) and everything that you do (tests, assignments, and essays) will be taught in class. I would advise to opt for in-class - if possible.

When I initially signed up for this class, I'll be honest I didn't have high hopes. However, Prof. Knapp exceeded my expectations. He always presented the material in an understanding way, he was always available if needed. I will say there is a bit of reading but nothing one cannot handle, and it is all needed. I loved taking Professor Knapp's class. At first, I thought I wouldn't enjoy it, but soon, I learned the material was much more interesting than I thought! The essay prompts were entertaining, too, and I enjoyed the writing assignments. He answered emails quickly when I had any questions regarding the course. He's a great professor!

Professor Knapp was very kind throughout the entirety of my course. He's not a tough grader, and he's very lenient when it comes to late work. As long as you do your assignments you'll get a good grade. His class material is also interesting, so I never dreaded any of my assignments.

Professor Knapp was my very first professor ever, and I greatly appreciated him because everytime i had questions he would answer within 24 hours, if im in class he makes sure we understand and if wedon't i felt comfortable asking any questions. He also made jokes and laughed with us, this class was only a few weeks long but I still enjoyed it.

Professor Knapp is a great professor, he is very straight forward with the expectations, and they aren't drastic "out of the norm" expectations. There were only about 7 assignments that were mainly quizzes and essays. There is lots of reading, but it was interesting and fun readings that helped your papers. He also encouraged to ask for help!
