Teaches well, answers questions, available at office hours, is eager to help students. The only thing is that our class didn't require a textbook, other students in MAT082 classes had the book. Kruse doesn't require it in his class, so be on time and the notes are usually very short. Excellent teacher.

Excellent instructor, I highly recommend taking his class. He does get a little off track so be ready to reel him in once in a while. He does make you think; when he lectures if he asks something that the class should know he will wait until someone knows. So be sure and pay attention.

I took Calculus 2 with Kruse, while he is a very good teacher he does have one aspect, which many would consider a downside. That downside is the fact that he like to go off on tangents about proofs and math's history instead of focusing on topic material. Personally I leked it beacause it made the class more interesting, but I'm a math major

When I took him MAT082, I thought I was going to have a hard time in there learning since math is my weakest subject. But when I took him in Fall of 2005, he taught everything and made it easy enough to understand the concepts. I liked the way he graded us, just plain quizzes every 2 weeks and no homework. Take his class, it's worth the money/time.

Kruse is all about the theory of math, so instead of teaching you something step by step, he wants you to understand the mechanics of it. He goes over a lot of proofs instead of example problems, so you'll have to teach yourself a lot. Practice tests don't represent the tests very well. Tests only have 2-4 questions, better know your stuff.
