Mr. Lindemann is the best! He really motivates you to do well. There are several writing assignments for this class and we really rushed to get it all done near the end. I still enjoyed the class and the writing. I'm sorry I won't be able to take his 1302 class in the Spring.

Easy class... though i dropped it just cuz i was too lazy... i didn't really like the timing!... anyways.. i had done 3 essays... and got A's on all three... and plus.. too much book usage... u better read the passages he gives u to read... there are quizes on it.. so don't get lazy with that... i think he's a good teacher.. and also interesting..

Mr. Lindemann is a really nice and sweet man. He really cares about his students. I reccomend you take the class of english is difficult for you. He teaches his class on a very elementary level. Not reccomended for people who are advanced in English because you will be bored. He is always in a good mood and always ready to help.

Has become one of my most fav teachers of all time! Thorough understanding of literature. Extremely helpful. Cares about teaching, the subject matter, and students. Will help you succeed. You will not find a teacher more enthusiastic and dedicated than Mr. Lindemann.

Very compassionate about the subject. Teaches at a very elementary/intermediate level. There is no final but there are 6 essays you have to complete throughout the course. Many short essay quizzes during the first half of the course that are easy breezy.

This prof is the best. He is so passionate about the subject, that I got excited about it too. There is a lot of writing, but he will always help if you need it. I was never a great writer b4 this but just check your grammer and be clear in your papers. I got an A in the class and wish I had taken him for my other english classes! Great guy!

Mr. Lindemann was a great teacher with real passion for the subject. The work was easy, the lectures were interesting. Unfourtunately, my class was full of idiots who had no desire to contribute. I felt that a lot of his energy was wasted on these people. If you enjoy English, or need help and are willing to work to improve, take Lindemann.

This is the 2nd time I have taken a class by Mr. Lindemann. The subject matter in this Early American Lit class was so interesting. I'd take him a 3rd time, but I'm done with my English courses! He is the best!

The best English teacher at HCC!!! However, one negative thing I have to say about him is that he is quite the liberal. Most of the essays and papers are based on topics in which the students have to agree or side with liberal and controversial points. But I must admit that his class was very enjoyable. I would recommend him to anyone.

He's a lot of work but I enjoyed his class. You don't have to enjoy writing to make a decent grade, but by the time you are done with the class you will somewhat enjoy writing. He's a silly nut, but he's a GREAT educator.

If you are expecting to make an easy A you have another thing coming. He is a good teacher, and he actually explains how to write a great paper. There is a lot of hard work envolved, which includes A LOT of Quizzes and 5 papers total. I went into the class being a mediocre writer, and I came out his class with an A.

One of the students said below that you have to be a good writer to earn an A or B. All I can say to that is, DUH! The purpose of the class is to help you to improve your writing. It never ceases to amaze me that some want an A just for existing.

I took him for 1301 and 2328 and he's awsome! He's extremely leanient and helpful. You must read the required texts and he pretty much gives out answers before the quizzes. His class was pretty easy. A LOT of reading, but he always went over the reading after it was assingned which made his simple daily quizes fairly easy. The exams are essays that you do at home which makes it possible to make a really good grade. I would recommend him.

He's one of the coolest professors that you will take. Not too easy, not too hard and very enthusiastic about the subject. Kinda contagious I must say. VERY helpful and you learn the material. Attends class every day!

Im taking his class right now, n he's close to being the perfect standard for all profs. U don have to buy books for class, he'll let u use HIS online sources. He will walk u through steps in essays, and happy to help u improve. U will have to work 4 ur grades, but he's very encouraging n helpful. Pay attention, Do works, n u will be fine.

What can I say about this professor, all i can say is that he is the BEST!!! Although i did a lot of essays on his class, (and honestly i hate writing essays) with him i learned to love it and have fun writing essays. He will help you in group as well individually. I took him for 1301 last year, and I'm about to take him again for 2328! He's a fantastic professor, loves what he teaches and really truly wants to help his students. Plus, he's funny and quirky and just plain awesome. I'm looking forward to it SO MUCH! If only he taught all the English courses.

AWESOME professor. He's eccentric and enthusiastic about teaching. If you fail a paper, you can re-do it until you get a C. He has very convenient office hours and will re-schedule to meet you if he's busy. Wish I had him for my 1302 class.

Lindemann's a funny guy. Took his class as a HS senior and aced it. Makes you read an essay for just about every class period, and gives a short quiz on them. He's a more-than-fair grader on essays, and helps after class if asked. You'll learn a lot, and if you can't make at least a B, you're either not trying, ESL, or hopeless. Top 5 HCC teachers.

Very enjoyable class. There is a lot of material covered and quite a bit of writing, so if you're expecting to breeze by with minimal work, look elsewhere. There were 5 essays (including the research project) and a multiple choice test as well. If you enjoy literature at all I would definitely recommend his class.

Best English professor ever!

He is a great professor. His lectures are interesting. He will get you hyped up with his lectures. You won't be bore. Your exams are take home essays of no more than 3 pages. If you receive a grade of ?R? on your first two essays, you can revise for a grade of no higher than a 75. He also gives daily quizzes. There are no make-up quizzes.

He is a great professor. Very interesting and it's obvious that he loves what he does. He's more than willing to help you if and when you need it. He's a very reasonable, if not generous, grader. One of the best English professors I've ever had. And it doesn't hurt to love Poe. ;)

Everything you need to know for his daily quizzes are discussed in class-if you listen! He gives extra credit. He listens-He answers questions. His enthusiasm for literature is contagious!
