the class was pretty easygoing and interesting, but i think he doesnt explain well enough what he'll be testing you on. you may have 80+ slides for a test and since he only does multiple choice questions (w/ remotes) he makes the questions really tricky. theres a lot of "it could be A, it could be C, or it could be D- which is "A&C." too tricky!

If this guy doesn't make it as a teacher, he can find a job as a comedian. His class feels more like an hour of stand up than it does an actual lecture, but he gets the information across and if you listen to what he says, you'll do well on the tests. If you're taking BMGT110 try to get Jeff Miller. You don't need to buy the textbook either.

Jeff Miller is the best business professor I've had so far at UMD. Take his class! He's a hilarious guy, there's literally one homework assignment and the exams come straight from the slides and module videos. Make sure to go to class (it's interesting so it's not a chore) and participate!

I really enjoyed this class. it was confusing at first, but then it got easier. he doesn't cover everything and his exams are a little tricky. He graded me really harshly on my paper which was worth 10% of my grade. my grade went down to C because of that paper. I emailed him about and he ignored. he doesn't care about his students.

When I say Dr. Miller spends over half the lecture reading news articles completely irrelevant to the course, I'm not exaggerating. He's funny and all but his class requires a lot of self-study as he barely teaches much in lectures. His tests are all MC and typically easy. His no-tech policy in class drove me nuts as I have all my notes on my iPad.

Really cool guy, spends half of class teaching and the other half discussing cool news articles and updates with the class. Minimal work outside of class. There's a neat business simulation we did, basically 10 minutes of work once a week. There were 2 papers to write and a small book to read, really chill.

While Miller is a very nice and funny guy, his classes are set up to fail really easily if you slack off in any way. There are few grades in the class so whatever you get on the exam is essentially your grade for the year, there is not a lot of ways to boost your grade back if you do poorly on the test.

A great guy, but not a great professor. He doesn't post slides until 12 hours before exams -- he's actually forgotten to do so for 3/4 exams, so make sure you go to every lecture. Attendance is random. Emails often go unanswered. Not many chances to improve your grade. Most of the in-class time is spent on news stories rather than content.
