Great teacher. No regular lecture, will involve student a lot in class. Lecture is really interesting. Gave one take-home exam & one multiple choice exam exactly from web-page. You have to write a long research paper though.

Flexible and somewhat fun, good teacher.

This is a really hard class, he made it as easy as possible. Im a lazy "C" student and I got a high "A" in his class. The big MC test is straight from the practice quizes on the book website. Still the best professor Ive ever had.

Riolo is the bomb!

Easy as long as you do everything he says (and he makes these things very clear). If you don't pass then you are just straight up lazy. The hottest is because he does have that older athlete vibe that is somewhat sexy. Plus smart men are sexy anyway.

I highly recommend this professor. If you read the material, do all the work, and get get decent grades on the tests you'll get an A. There is one big legal brief, it's about 1/3 of your grade. I really enjoyed this class. Would take him again. There are many opportunities for extra credit.

Go to class, take notes. He tells you whats going to be on the test word for word. Thrid test is straight from the website. You are a fool to not take him with the choices you have for the class.

A really good professer,if students don't pass his class then they are not doing well in their other classes. You will learn a lot nad he gives you all the answers to the exams. You have to read the chapters by next class meeting because if you don't you will be called out on it.

Grading isnt as hard as it initially seems. Prof. Riolo knows his stuff. Yes you are required to read for each class meeting. You actuaslly learn in this class. If youre looking to breeze by without expanding your mind, dont take hin.

Jeff is a great teacher. He made this class interesting for me. Yeah its hard work and you get called on at least once every class, but this is college. He knows his stuff and wants his students to learn. Highly recommended.

I don't get what the big deal is. He wants you to learn and if you're not interested in learning, he doesn't want you in his class anymore than you want to be there. Why are you here if you don't want to learn something? He's a hard a** in the beginning until you prove yourself but it's an easy A if you're willing to put in a little effort.

At first I was very intimidated by him but after doing what is asked he is very nice. He is obviously frustrate with those that waste his time and not put forth the effort.If you do the rquired work it is an easy "A" and it is somewhat entertaining to watch him call out the slackers.

A must take proffesor if u are willing to grow mentally in regards to law around you in general. His teaching tecnics are very effective in getting you to comprehend the subject and very helpful in real life. He is a proffesors that will have a very positive influence in a lot of students.

Prof Riolo is very fair, everything is laid out before you, to do or not. Some of the assignments had you go to a court house to take case notes, which was lame, but he give a lot of time to write the paper, and the tests have extra credit opportunities, drops your lowest of 3 midterms, note sheet on final.

Best teacher I have ever had.You have to read and go to class but very good in class conversations. You have to read and go to class, write a paper but follow the instructions and it is not too hard to get an A. Best is that you actually learn how the legal system works if you pay attention.

Riolo is one of the best professors at Mesa. He is spot on with his teaching method, and gives amazing lectures. The average grade for his class is a C, but if you push hard and actually read, you can get an A (as I did!). He's HUGE on participation, speak up often!!

professor riolo, is super sick. I got an A in the class, its not a walk in the park by any means but he stays connected with his students. he begins every lecture with a discussion and he selects students at random to answer his questions about the readings. Try and show up to all classes because he gives answers to his exams in his lectures..

I have to admitt that at first he seemed kinda intimidating to me but as the semester proceeded he became a cool professor he'll only help if you really want the help which means you also have to speak up. once you do that, he is the coolest guy and we do what he thinks is fair!!!

Best professor, I had no problem waking up for his 8 a.m. because of how good of a professor he is. If you go to him for help he will be the most helpful professor you can ever have in your life

He will do just about whatever it takes to help you out, but don't think this is an easy course, he's a hardass that doesn't care if you fail due to lack of effort. I can easily say that he's the best teacher I've ever had both as a college and high school student. I honestly think that he has the whole book memorized and he uses that to his advantage to offer one of the most useful classes I think that I will ever take (and I'm not even going into law). If you show up and do the work, you're guaranteed an A.

One of my favorite professors. Smart and direct. He explains complex concepts clearly and makes the whole course much easier to understand. He knows the book backward and forward so make sure you read...or else. Overall the course is not difficult and very interesting if you do the assignments.

AWESOME TEACHER! super funny, cool and laid back! He gives you the answer to the texts and all his homework is directly related to the exam. AND YOU CAN HAVE A CHEAT SHEET! he definitely has a lot of homework and writing specially his chapter outlines but! You can get an A if you do everything! TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!!!

This guy's rating should be a 5.0 he was an awesome teacher. Easy A if you apply yourself and do the work. He makes it known what he expects from you in order to pass his class. I LOVED this class!!

You need to come to class prepared everyday. He engages in class discussions regarding the reading and makes you feel dumb if you do not read. HOWEVER, if you do do your reading, you will do well. He tends to give out test questions. If you apply yourself, an A grade is obtainable. He helped spark an interest in law.

One of the best professors I've ever had. I had very little interest in the class and I had big doubts that I would pass. He sparked an interest and fire in me that helped me excel through the class. Sets up his course so that you can pass. If you fail then you're just lazy. Really cool guy. Highly suggest him if you WANT to learn.

By far my favorite professor. He's a total package as a teacher; he's very clear in what he's teaching, checks up on you to make sure you have kept up with the reading and the assignments, and he's a lenient grader. I highly recommend him!

If you're timid or shy I wouldn't take this class. He calls you out at least once every class and if you don't know the answer he makes you feel pretty stupid. Participation is huge. Homework is difficult if you don't know what you're doing. You really need to take notes and do a lot of research to keep up.

Prof Riolo is a great teacher and seems passionate about furthering the education of his students. Yes, there is work to be done, but it is good for you; get over it, becoming a better person requires work. Get into study groups, take notes, turn in the easy assignments and you will get an A (recording lectures makes life really easy BTW).

If you do your reading you will be in solid shape, he gives the questions for the tests in lectures so it makes studying a lot easier. Took his class this semester for summer, i came in thinking he would be tough, not fun and a very bland lecture. Every morning, he made sure students read, how? he would as question up and down the rows. Read, its really simple, or just take notes on key words in the book, and that will get you by every day. Tests are challenging.

Was taken aback by this teacher's kindness. I had missed about 2 weeks worth of classes due to a personal issue and was close to not passing. Without asking for an explanation, he allowed me to turn in a couple missed assignments and let me know I might not pass when my grade was low. Truly cares about his students, and wants them to succeed.

By far my favorite teacher I have had. I learned more useful day to day stuff in his class then any other college course ever taken. Applies real world law into everything he teaches. Very clear with everything he expects, if you show up, pay attention, and do the homework... you will learn a lot! He expects you to read before class.

Definitely one of the best teachers at Mesa. If you want to get a firm understanding of business law this is your Professor, however you will work in this class. The good news is he makes the work do-able and enables you accomplish the tasks. Class notes can be adapted and used for mid-term and final. Can't recommend this Professor highly enough.

I absolutely enjoyed taking Prof. Riolo's class: he's very knowledgable on the sudgect, is very helpful and is super funny. The class is easiest if you have a study group to lean on. He gives extra credit. Wont get your final back.

This class was extremely intimidating at first, but if you keep up with the reading, do your homework, show up to class, RECORD LECTURES, & take good notes, you will do well. If you need help, he will help you and lead you to the answer, however he wont just dish out the answer. Requires a lot of studying.

Professor Riolo has been the best professor I have had throughout my entire academic career. He is so knowledgeable. He forces you to participate and if you do not like being put on the spot then you will have to learn to. I loved this about him because it kept the entire class engaged. Highly recommend him for any business student.

TAKE HIS CLASS! Pro Riolo is the nicest professor! Assignments are easy, just do them and don't procrastinate. He accepts late work! :) He's straight-up and will call you out if you're slacking (WHICH IS GOOD), but he's also very lenient and helpful. Riolo was an amazing professor. He truly cares about your education and wants you to succeed. As long as you do the chapter reading you will get an A in the class. Tip: do outlines for each chapter as you read them. If you do an outline for every chapter you get a cheat sheet for the final (and trust me, you will want the cheat sheet!)

One of the best professors at Mesa college! His lectures are fun and very interesting. He knows for sure what he is talking about! Very intelligent person. To succed in this class you just need to read the book chapters or summaries and do your homework! I would definitely take this class again!

Professor Riolo is an awesome dude. This class isn't a piece of cake but you WILL get a good grade if you put in the work. Riolo sets you up for success and the homework, grading criteria, Test days, etc. are extremely clear. Assignments aren't difficult but a little time consuming. Tests cover a lot of information but it's mostly just memorization. He gives you all the test questions in class so show up and take notes and you'll be fine. If you make a sacrifice to study hard (all nighters, flash cards, whatever) you can easily ace the tests no problem. Come on people, this is college, put in some effort and this class is an easy good grade!

Attendance was not mandatory, but I didn't want to miss any class session because there are a lot to learn.

I had this class last semester, it was a great experience as student involvement/engagement is a big part unlike other classes. Inorder to succeed you'll have to: do the required reading b4 class , attend office hours,record lectures, get good grades on the first two tests to avoid test 3, avoid procrastination. Prof Jeff is always there to help.

Gives the questions to each exam in class. His class offers SO much extra credit and exams are EXTREMELY curved. But, you definitely need to study for the exam even with a curve. Assignments are based on effort. Goes off on tangents in class. He'll call you out for not reading the chapter. Overall, he's a humorous, down to earth guy.

Read before class as he'll pick on people, but he's definitely not a jerk as if I say "i don't know" he'll not force the issue further. Do well on first 2 tests so you could avoid test 3. Riolo is a great professor. If you ever have issues, I suggest to see him during office hours. He is not an easy professor, but you will learn a lot. He knows business law back and forth. He gives all the test questions ahead of time, but be sure to record because he would not repeat. Reading and participation are necessary.

He is a great professor. If you at least put in the work and make an effort you will pass the course. He gets harder on you as the semester goes but he's a professor who cares about what you get out of the course.

He is a tough teacher, but if you read the textbook and come prepared for class he will love you! He does a lot of "cold calling" which means he will randomly pick on someone to answer a question so be prepared because he will remember if you're not prepared. Overall though, best class I have ever taken.

Knowledgable in field, knows his stuff. Kind-hearted and genuine but.. very disorganized, led a full ONLINE course purely via email (submissions, announcements) Sent assignments with typos, misspellings, repeats. Accessible via office hours, not so much via email. Easy if YOU put in the effort, I learned a lot, but a frustrating experience.
