He is a great math teacher! You can easily understand the way he teaches. He's very helpful when you ask for it. Will go over questions with you. Class is fun

Mr. Wood has been by far one of my favorite teachers in my college experience. He engages with his class, makes sure everyone understands the material before he moves on & is a fair grader. He's also very personable, funny, & witty. I had such an amazing time in his class, I was happy to be there & wanted to learn! Thank you Mr. Wood :)

If Mr. Wood is teaching a class that you need, take him! I never felt rushed. He always tried his best to make sure everyone was understanding the lesson. My favorite thing about the class was that he was very organized and kept the class on task. He constantly kept us busy, so the 3 hour math class didn't seem too bad. All around great experience.

Mr. Wood was very helpful in all his instruction. He always took time to go through material when some people in the class didn't understand. He was funny and had a good sense of humor , making the 3 hour class shorter. I would recommend anyone to take this class with Mr. Wood.

Mr. Wood was a great teacher, he made sure that the material was understood, he went into depth when needed. He was a fair grader and made a 3 hr class enjoyable. He grades very fair. Mr. Wood has been my favorite teacher of my college experience I would take any class he is teaching!

Mr. Wood makes taking a math class fun. He takes his time in explaining how equations work and makes sure you understand it before moving on. He listens to the students and responds in a positive way and doesn't make you feel stupid when asking questions. Mr. Woods teaching techniques makes the 3 hour class period fly buy.

Math gives me terrible anxiety, lucky Mr. Wood is a wonderful teacher! He's very thorough when explaining questions and showing us new math problems. He takes every question seriously and doesn't make you feel dumb for asking questions or not understanding new formulas. Gives are test back so we can see what we did wrong and study for the final.

This Professor, love math and makes it very interesting. During his lectures, he always makes sure all the students understand what he is teaching. if one student does not understand he asks what part was not clear and he then explains it in a different way.

Mr. Wood is easily one of the best teachers I have ever had. He is clear, patient, and cares about whether or not his students understand what he is teaching. With him there are no stupid questions. He will explain things over and over until you understand. Such a helpful and supportive teacher. I wish I could take every math class with him.

Awesome teacher who understands that math can be difficult for some students

I get nervous during test and his way of grading test gave me the chance to not completely fail. He gives points even if you have minimal errors on a question. It will not be a complete zero. Loved his class...

He is the most patient instructor ever! If you struggle with math like I did take his classes. He is great at explaining and breaking things down, and he will go over a topic as many times as needed to make sure everyone understands. I wish I could have him as my instructor for all my math classes!

I just completed Math 250, I would have to say that Mr. Wood has been by far the best teacher I have had. I am getting ready to start my next class Math 256 with him and am very excited about learning more math tricks for solving problems. Thank you a million times a million, which equals a zillion!

Great instructor. He teaches the subject and let the students come up with formulas on the math problems and work it to see if the formula is testable and easy to be understood

Awesome math teacher. Really cares about his students, and will gladly keep going over something if someone doesn't get it. Has many different ways to explain as well, and has a good sense of humor. Even though he teaches only basic math, I wish he did more so I could take more of his classes.

Great teacher. Always willing to take the extra time to help you understand if your stuck or as he would say "hit a brick wall". Uses different methods to help you find the one that works best for you. Four tests and drops the lowest score. Reviews before each test. Taking his next class, wish I could take him for the rest.

Mr. Wood is adorkable! He is amazingly patient and his instruction is remarkably clear. Wood is one of the best teachers I have ever had the pleasure to know. It also doesn't hurt that he has a nice butt.

As a person that struggles with math, Mr. Wood made learning/tests as stress free as possible. Tests were around 25 questions and covered what we took notes on in class/based on chapter we covered.. Final was a larger test due to it covering the entire semester, previous chapter tests were used for study for the final(loved that). Nice/funny also.

Math has never been my favorite subject, but Mr. Wood made it fun and easy to understand. Easy to understand and overall makes math fun. I am only disappointed he doesn't teach higher math because I would definitely take his class again.

Great attitude and demeanor. Always enthusiastic about teaching and great sense of humor. Fair, reasonable, and understanding. He was always made sure that the class understood the material very clearly before moving on. Explains problems in a few ways. Everyone should learn math this way. Wish i could take him for all of my college math!

Amazing teacher

This class was my second class with Mr Wood. He is very helpful if you ask for help. He is very patient and can be hilarious too. Just be aware that his classes are an accelerated one. So be sure to take good notes and pay attention. The book is not necessarily needed, but homework is expected. Thank you, Mr. Wood!

Mr. Wood is an excellent professor. He is clear on what he expects, never deviates from his syllabus and you can tell he loves Math which is hard to find. I wish the college offered more courses for him to teach as I learned the most from him this semester than I had my whole education process and I would love to follow him with my future classes

In high school, math was my least favorite subject. Combine that with having to take this course for credit and I was dreading this class. After passing the course with an A, I have a renewed interest in Math. Mr. Wood is incredibly helpful, takes his time to make sure you understand, and is a great instructor. I highly recommend him!

Mr. Wood was one of the best teachers I've ever had including ones in universities. He cares about the subject and there is no fear in the classroom to say you don't know the answer or how to do it or even to ask questions. He really cares about his students and it reflects in everyone's understanding in the material.

I really really hate math and have always had teachers who embarrass me and give me such a hard time, but Mr. Woods is the total opposite! Even though I'm really behind on things I should know, he never calls me (or anyone) out in the class, gives clear instructions/examples, happy to answer questions, and is just a really great teacher! Amazing ;D

I love taking his 250 class! Everything he goes over in class is on the homework and on the test. Overall he's just a very humble and kind teacher. You shouldn't consider any other teacher!

Mr. Wood definitely cared whether we all passed or not and continually stopped the lecture to clarify any questions students had about the material, ensuring that each student was on the same page. I appreciated the constant pace and his interest in math was infectious, I found myself looking forward to each class.

EASY CLASS! I took his 3 month long refresher class and it was all I needed. Teaching style was easy to understand. He will help you with a question until you get it. Clear grading criteria. We had 4 tests and 1 final. Show up to class, take notes, study, and you will be fine.

He's the best math teacher i've ever had. I will definitely be taking one of his classes again. He wants to help you and his lectures are very clear. I missed class four times and was still able to pass with a B.

He's just a really easy going teacher, treats everyone with respect and understands that math isn't easy for everyone. He answers all questions without making anyone feel embarrassed. I would recommend him to anyone, and I would definitely take one of his classes again. He's also pretty funny. He makes class funner.

Mr. Wood explained math in a way that made sense to me. He doesn't care what method you use long as the answer is correct. He shows you different ways to try a problem if you don't understand it. He never makes a student feel bad if they aren't understanding. He's funny and makes the time go by fast. He's the best

I would Highly recommend taking Mr. Woods for a teacher. I took a summer trig class with him and He really does care about the students and wants you to do good and pass with a good grade. I'd say he can make simple material a little confusing because he goes in to explaining it too much. Overall he made this summer class surprisingly enjoyable!

He has totally made me look forward to math class. I have struggled with math all my life and he made me look forward to each class. His method of teaching is awesome. He is also very open to students suggestions and never makes you feel ashamed of not knowing certain things. Wish he taught all math class! If you have the chance take him!

One of the best teachers I've had. Everything is pretty straight forward, just make sure to show up to class. I wouldn't recommend buying the book, I never even opened it. You only need my mathlab access.

Mr Wood was amazing, from his teaching methods to his unfortunate choice in hatwear. I definitely recommend taking his class, it's not hard and there is little homework. You usually drop your lowest test even!

Very good professors ! literally gives you his time till class time ends. Does not get frustrated if you ask however many questions you have, until you understand the materiel. If you pay attention you WILL pass.

I took this class to get more review on math and practice where my weakness and strength, however mr wood is step by step with you all the way and takes the time to spent with you in every problem u might have trouble. I recommend him to anyone who is ready to put the work in.

By far my favorite teacher. Really cares and is very patient. Would definitely recommend. Hilarious and never leaves a student behind. Always makes sure to keep you awake with jokes and stories. I've never been good at math, I avoided it until the very end of college because I hated it. This teacher completely changed my mind! I understand math now, he is very attentive to what you need, he completely works with you if you need help. He takes extra time to help you if need be. Amazing math teacher. He really cares and is pretty funny!

Mr Wood is an amazing professor, he takes his time to help you understand. Gives partial credit for work shown on exam which is a plus. He doesn't make math scary, definitely one of the best professors I have come across. Wish he taught more varities of math because I enjoy the way he teaches. Lots to say about Mr. Wood. I took both his 250 class and 256 math classes. He is very patient and will sit there and work with you no matter how many times it takes for you to understand. He has a very unique way of relating real life situations to whatever the class or homework will be. Also if you like a story teller hes your teacher.

I have had a horrible relationship with Math, I just can't get it. I have never come across a better teacher for Math then Mr. Wood. He LOVES math and cares that you understand it as well. If you don't understand something, he will come up with multiple examples and analogies until you get it. I took his shorter Math 250 and it was an easy A. :D

Mr. Wood is one of the best statistics professors! He makes material be as clear as possible and always makes sure you, or the entire class understands the lecture. Attendance is mandatory, especially in order to keep up with the notes that go along with the lectures. But, his lectures are always in depth so you for sure don't want to miss class.

Ive struggled my way through math my entire life. Its always been so difficult for me. But it goes to show you that the teacher makes all the difference because I LOVED taking stats this year! Mr Wood breaks every step down into an easy to follow plan, takes time to make sure everyones following, and genuinely cares about his students.

Mr. Wood was a great math teacher. He is super passionate about his teaching and genuinely cares about his student's success. He always has relevant lectures, and homework comes out of the book. The class itself doesn't have too rigorous material, and Mr. Wood is really good about going at a speed that makes the concepts easy to understand! 10/10!

Jeff Wood is the perfect math teacher. He lectures at a steady pace and will always stop and answer any questions. You get to use some form of notes on the test whether it's provided or your own and Jeff is a very lenient grader. Showing up to class is recommended to understand the material so you don't get lost. Class is hardly ever boring.

Really easy class. Our first two chapters we had a whole month to complete assignments whenever we wanted. Most assignments are on mymathlab. As you get closer to the end of the semester some of the assignments be will be on paper. As long as you watch the videos he assigns you'll have no problem. He's also a very understanding professor!
