Probably the worst class I have taken at ASU. The Professor's grading system is ridiculously unfair. I missed one formula on the entire midterm and that one question was worth 25% even though it wasnt important at all. His grading and weighting is arbitrary and he is not receptive to feedback. Id rather drop out than take this class again.
Overall, not too bad. The workload is minimal, nothing to stress about. But hes a harsh grader and gives zero feedback. Also, all the course material/lectures arent even his, it appears he just copied prof Satpathy WPC300 outline. Honestly take him instead because it'll be the same exact experience, but maybe he wont be so harsh/slow at grading.
Professor Baum might be the worst professor I've ever had. The assignments were pretty straightforward and easy, but the final and midterm were unnecessarily hard. Given the allotted time, the exams were impossible to finish and the questions significantly harder than those on the assignments. CIS 315 is easy, but this professor made it worse.
Jeff has no idea what he is doing. He simply is a "monitor" for the course. Jeff does not keep up with grading, is unable to answer simple questions, and rarely responds to email. He is poorly organized and doesn't even understand the curriculum of the course. Jeff's grading is horrendous, offers no feedback and takes weeks to grade 1 assignment.
The two exams and the group project make up almost the entire score. Not receiving those grades back until the class was over was very frustrating. Although he seems nice his feedback on the group project was not helpful. The exam prep guides fall short. I would recommend trying dr Sapathy instead.
Lack of clarity in the course. Project instructions were vague. My group and I were struggling with requirements and barely received any feedback. All of the lectures are done by another teacher, which were very difficult to follow along with. There was no textbook which I actually felt would have been helpful for a course this difficult.
Honestly Baum was pretty good in this class. Sure the homework and tests can be a bit vague, but the department head makes those, not him. He told me how he would do it if he had control. He's very easy to reach during office hours and he'll do his best to help you. He's a really nice guy and I see this as the most useful class I've ever taken.
I Baum is a good guy. He is intelligent, easy to get ahold of, and gives good feedback. There are 2 exams and 1 project. They are brutally hard. Reviewing the quizzes won't help you on the final. Your Fd unless you really know the material. Your grade might look good going into the final but expect it to drop. Class average of final was 68%.
The beginning material is very easy, follow exact directions and strive for the max score to give yourself a nice grade buffer. Exam 3 material gets very advanced, so give yourself plenty of time to go over it. Overall, a really fantastic class for anyone going for a business degree. The professor is very nice and accessible to online students.
Professor Baum was a good professor in so much as he was responsive and supportive. The course I took with him, however, was poorly set up and maintained. I wouldn't put that on him but it's still something to note.
Terrible professor, he isnt even the professor in the videos you have to watch every week and has TAs do most of the grading. Its like hes getting paid to not teach and just grades. Very tough on grading and he does not give much input on the semester project. He talks about it in very general terms. This was one of the worst classes I took.
WPC 300 is just a bad class and none of the professors are good at teaching it. If you had to pick one that was the least worst I would go for Baum. Midterm is easy but the final is difficult. His biggest issue is he spends so much time going over the hw that you don't get to go over the PowerPoint and have to do it on your own time. Easy B tho
Very little contact between professor and students. Every lecture is recorded by a different professor. Tough grader and very unapproachable.
Quiz's, Homework, Labs are stupid easy... THE WORST THING ABOUT THIS CLASS IS THE STUPID GROUP PROJECT.... also he has 2 final exams!!! it says one Final exam but the practical is just as much as the final. these two exams take up 40% of your grade! STUPID STUPID. went from a 89% to a 60% for doing poorly on the practical.
WPC 300 is an awful class, but he really does show that he cares for students success. He tries to crack a few jokes & really tries to break down material for us to understand. He provides help both during and outside class. I thought he was great for teaching this class. The class overall is poorly structured but he makes it work for students
If you have him, get ready for an extremely unclear and over-explanation of EVERYTHING. In every announcement, this professor was very vague and made it very hard to understand very important information. The group project is a complete nightmare and even though it is a summer class, you have almost no time to complete it. GOOD LUCK if you take him
He isn't the worst considering its an online class and the majority of the quizzes are on Quizlet. Follow along in the example videos, you have a good chance of doing well on the weekly assignments. The group project is terrible. There isn't good instruction on what you are supposed to do and its hard to communicate with the others in your group.
Group Project sucks! Little to no instruction given on what exactly to do. He is not helpful in any way outside of class. Never even replies to emails or any help needed. Terrible class. Don't take it.
Most of the material was not enough to use when completing assignments. Because the professor is not helpful the assignments are time-consuming. One of my classmates created a group online where most students joined to help one another because taking this course alone is not an option if you want to pass the class.
Great professor!
He is a really nice professor and cares about your grade!
Professor Baum is the sweetest professor. He truly cares about his students and wants them all to be successful. With the new layout of WPC300, it is SOOOO much better and definitely a more manageable workload overall. Definitely take him if you have the chance, he is super funny and easy going!!
One of the best professors I've had at ASU. He is very communicative about what information is actually relevant, & he's kinda funny. The course was completely redesigned so it's way easier. Every assignment has multiple attempts, except for the take home final. No assignments are timed, including the final.
Pretty easy professor. Does a good job making real-world connections with assignments and concepts. Not a super hard grader, most of the grades will come from MyEducator. Tries to keep class interesting. WOuld take again.
I was dreading going into this class at the beginning of the semester because of what I heard about the course. I was relieved to hear that the course was completely redesigned. Assignments had multiple attempts with no time limit, though could be a bit challenging at times and had a take home final.
My issues lie more with the class itself and not the professor. With that, Baum did his best, and seems to be the best option out of the WPC professor because he cares. However, the class is still terrible. Going to class is pointless because it doesnt relate to the HW, and the HW is hard. Again, not an issue with Baum, but with the class itself.
Professor Baum is a great! Although the assignments were not structured the best due to the facility who designed the class, he truly takes the time to explain things and help you understand the content. I had the opportunity to take his course at West campus and he set aside time to help 1 on 1 after class. He truly cares about his students!!
Professor Baum is a great professor! This class has been restructured, so this was his first semester teaching the new material. He did the best he could with what he was given. The material isn't super hard, but it's not super easy. The textbook is almost useless except for the quizzes. If he's an option, I would take him over anyone else!
Excellent Professor! Cares about students. By far my favorite professor here at ASU. Go to class, read the book, and you will get an A. Awesome professor!
Since this was the first semester with the redesigned version of the course, there were aspects of the class that were not ideal. Professor Baum was very receptive to class feedback and made adjustments to his lectures to help us learn more effectively. He always tries to keep class interesting to make up for the relatively boring material.
Baum was ok. Class is restructured so no group project-just lots of homework, but it's manageable. He is on the students side and tried to help when he could. He is somewhat boring in lecture, but the concepts are boring. I would recommend him to someone that needs to take this class despite the flaws. Passing this class is not hard in my opinion.
Man was this class boring, professor is trying his best to help you and keep you engaged
class was fun and similar to a stand up comedy routine, light hearted and easy work - definitely an easy A+ - they made the class way easier so forget about previous years bad reviews, definitiely reccomend the class
Great professor if you show up and actually put in some effort. Office hours are very helpful and he will make sure your questions are answered.
I really liked professor Jeffery Baum. It is a difficult class but he makes it manageable. he was very laid back and if i could, i would definitely take him again/recommend him to anyone.
Professor has a good teaching style. Final exam is open notes, 48hrs to competed it, take-at-home, lockdown browser. This course uses Mircosoft Excel for all assignments except for concept quizzes. Professor doesn't round up grades. Professor helps with homework in class. There are online videos to support the material. overall good.
I love his WPC 300 class he was really good at explaining and was attentive that his class was understanding everything quizzes were easy and homeworks were on excel and it was pretty straightforward and a lot of time professor helped with the homework in class, great professor and class a must take
Very passionate and contributive professor. He is willing to stay and help whenever a student needs it. He is also open to any criticism, which helps the class to develop and improve.
Explains the material well but sometimes class time feels redundant. Can trail off sometimes in lectures. The notes were not necessary to complete homework and case studies. Learned more from the textbook. However, he is a charismatic guy and knowledgeable about the course content.
Great professor, if you show up to class, professor will do the homework with the class, best professor for WPC300, take his in person class!
Won't roundup grades no matter how close it is. I have an 89.9%, and he won't round it to 90%. Worst professor ever.
This class isn't hard like people make it out to be (with this professor). Graded on quizzes, Excel, mini-cases, take home final. Wish we spent more class time being taught Excel than lectures, however do the prac problems (watch the vids on each step) and you'll be fine. Love this dude though, he's always there to help and remembers your name.
I spoke after class with Professor Baum on a couple of occasions to talk about the applications of what we were learning in class. He's very knowledgeable and has great real-world experience unlike a lot of professors that have never left academia. Understanding the WPC300 concepts can really set you apart. I highly recommend Baum for anyone.
Professor Baum was amazing. He cares for his students and their grade in the class. He is very understanding and is willing to work with you! The class itself is not my favorite or strong suit, but honestly with a good and caring professor like him, he made me want to try. If you can tell a professor is putting in effort, the students can too.
He must've changed how the course was worked based on ratings prior. The workload now is manageable and well arranged. I've taken a lot of excel classes at this point and honestly this was the most clear one in understanding the material, especially the data analysis tools. Answered email quickly for when I had a question. Simple but helpful class.
The course provides valuable info....its just unfortunate that there is little real instruction from the instructor, instead everything is done by technology.
Professor Baum has high standards, but also follows them himself. The course was tough, but easily able to get an A. He went out of his way to provide additional videos to guide us through assignments. He is probably the only professor this far that had gone out of his way on weekends to help out.
Baum was amazing! The class used a built in Excel grader, that definitely had some hiccups, but Baum would make sure to record videos to help walk you through any hiccups before the assignment was due. He was also was very active in announcements and feedback. Overall I would definitely recommend Baum for WPC300 if you can take it with him.
Professor Baum is absolutely amazing!! This type of material isn't necessarily my favorite to learn but Professor Baum changed my entire perspective. He is very patient and genuinely cares about his students and their success. I highly recommend you take his course! If you need any help he will always be there to guide you and ensure your success!
As long as you do the work in the modules, you'll be fine. Professor Baum gave really great example videos to help you understand Excel. I learned quite a bit. Overall, this was a good course with a manageable amount of material.
Prof B is great, would take again. The class was current in information that is relevant to data today. The homework was easy, not egregious by any means, as long as you complete it you will do great in this class!
The online platform was quite difficult for me to comprehend. The videos did not really help me with the case studies as much, which is a huge component of the class and a major part of the final exam. The practice assignments were easy to navigate and the quizzes weren't too bad. I would wish the Professor had more focus on case tests in lectures
Professor Baum was very good. While the class had lots of material and the tests impacted your grade heavily, if you do the reading and the practice problems and homework you will be fine. Caution: don't save it for the last minute-read and practice ASAP so you have time to work through your homework in the event that you have any difficulties.
You figure it be best to know what our current grade is so we know what to improve on. He claims that the course grade in Canvas is not accurate and theres no other way to determine what our actual grade is in the course until the end of the semester.
Decent guy, tries to form a bond with students which is nice. Can be flexible on things if you reach out to him. Very passionate on his lectures and knows his stuff.
If you care about the class and put even an ounce of effort into it, you'll be fine. There is a lot of homework for this class, but it's not particularly hard. Professor Baum replies to emails quickly and offers tons of supplemental information beyond the reading.
Communicated with him in Japanese. Other than that, he's hilarious, work layout is simple enough, and I would absolutely take him again!
great professor and he really try his best to help you to achive this course
Nice guy and all, but he will talk your ear off about things that have nothing to do with the lecture at all, for a HUGE chunk of lecture time. Even if the lecture is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. If you care about your education more than getting a free period to do whatever, I would find a better teacher who knows how to use technology.
Great professor! He makes an effort to get to know the students and is easy to reach outside of class if you make the effort. Need to show up to class to pass but it's in your best interest because he'll give you hints on your assignments. He also helped me with a question for my internship and even reached out to another professor for help.
This class is mostly lecture based, which is not my favorite, but I think he did a good job of making sure things were explained clearly. The homework is mostly Excel related and he goes over the harder assignments in class a bit. Overall, he did a good job of teaching the material.
Best professor ever! Truly helps you get proficient in Excel. While attendance isn't enforced, going to class is worthwhile for the assignment walk throughs. Overall he is a fun professor to talk with. He is very experienced in the business consulting industry and is a helpful contact and mentor for all business related majors!
Weekly Yellowdig, practice assignment, test, concept quiz, & bunch of lecture videos. 3 study cases, cumulative Mid-term and Final that are timed with only 1 attempt. It's a LOT of work! lectures are hard to understand since it's recorded by someone who has a very thick accent. No extra credit! Save your sanity & find another professor if you can.
No complaints for Professor Baum. The material can be challenging, but he does a great job explaining during office hours. The course mainly consist of business stats in excel.
The majority of the course work will be facilitated through MyEducator on MS Excel. Every week has a homework assignment, Skills testing, Yellowdig, Quiz, and sometimes a case study. I was able to finish a weeks worth of homework easily in a day. There was a midterm and a final. Both were open book. I didn't purchase any textbook.
The class was majorly excel work, lecture videos via playposit, and yellowdig assignments. Two online textbooks were needed. The professor himself was great and always there for extra help! If you have to take this class, take it with him.
Professors lectures are absolutely useless 95% of the time. He will go over concepts from in the text book that do not help with completing assignments at all and waste your time. Class is almost entirely excel based yet he does not go over any of that in class. Stupid professor, class is not hard, he just does not add anything to it what so ever.
He's a pretty good professor, the class itself is just a little annoying. He's approachable if you're confused, but the work is honestly not too hard. Just make sure to read the book beforehand. Don't skimp on the conceptual stuff either.
Good professor but from his words, WPC300 is a course that gets changed a lot and to some extents I can see that. That is less on the professor and more on the structure of the course. The only one complaint is I would've liked more review on excel things since it's majority of this class rather than "Bulletproof" concepts but still nothing major.
Professor's goal isn't to fail you, so show up, its that easy. 1 class a week, 1 hours and 15 minutes, not terrible. Going to class and following along to the excel will definitely be a whole lot easier than reading the book that you don't really have to touch if you know your stuff, other than some more in depth descriptions.Assignments are Doable
I know this class has been "revamped", but I think it could still use some work. The professor is nice though and going to class helped me complete my Excel assignments. I do wish that we used less in-class time for concepts and much more for actually digging into the Excel material and working on more problems together. Overall, an okay class.
I know students get nervous about this class but having Professor Baum teaching will quickly take that anxiety away. Excel is not the easiest, of course the assignments will take time but he is willing to go through everything as many times as needed, as long as you speak up. He truly cares about his students, is compassionate, just a great person.
This class was really easy. You read the textbooks, follow the directions for excel assignments, and get high grades on open-note tests. Baum is a really nice guy and he tries to help students that are struggling with the excel, but really it should be easy because we've all taken similar classes and can read the book. I didn't go to class.
I didn't interact much with the professor. But we had weekly yellowdig discussions, all of the work was based on Excel. The exams did not reflect what was taught in the course content. There would be very few things that were directly taught through MyEducator. If you're a whiz at Excel (beyond the basics) you'll do great. If not.. Godspeed.
There were points I hated this class, not because of the professor but I hated excel. He's a really nice guy and would ask for student feed back. Class isn't mandatory but helps when he goes over the practice problems/cases. I wished he spent more time on Excel rather than the notes for the class. Chegg was my saving grace. Open note exams.
Prof. Baum responds to questions in a timely and thorough manner. All material needed for assignments is provided and he does a great job reminding the class of due dates, although at this level we probably shouldn't need the reminding but it definitely doesn't hurt. Overall, great prof.
Avoid if you can, he literally is one of those professors that wants to stand out and he thinks it is a good idea to not show our grade at all until he has it posted to our transcript. Something so simple yet so complicated for this professor can be unnecessary added stress for students and it is unacceptable.
Prof. Baum is a great professor! Two critiques I would highly recommend would be allowing students to see their overall grade (cause he doesn't) and providing better test/exam material regarding Excel. The majority of the class used Excel and some of the assignments are completely diff. then the learning materials, which made it hard to learn.
I loved how clear cut all the assignments were, and the grading criteria. If you don't do your work this class will be difficult. But as long as you watch the lecture and complete the assignments it's not difficult.
Do not be afraid to request help from professor. Professor took his time and explained material in a manner that I understood during our 1:1.
Best prof ever! Take him for an easy A. He's caring, funny, always willing to answer questions/explain it 10times if he has to. I feel bad bc its not him but rather students who didnt pay attention/missed class atm. I did well w/o coming to every class + no excel knowledge. He loves to interact + value feedback to improve the class. Overall 1000/10
He is very friendly and is clearly educated on the material. As long as you show up to most classes you should be able to get an A. He stays after class is over and will help students that are struggling with certain concepts. The class is basically all in Excel so be prepared to memorize a lot of functions. I had no problems with him!
Good professor with real life experience. Class itself is very hard and material is boring but class was required for my major. Professor Baum really cares about his students and wants you to pass, although material was hard he goes over most cases and exams in class and really wants you to succeed and is always available for help.
Professor Baum is definitely the best pick for this course. After looking and seeing all the negative discourse around this specific course, I was worried to take it. Thankfully professor Baum makes it extremely easy to understand. Works on all cases in class with you, helps with test your skills in class, also has a super easy midterm! Take him!!!
He was great for WPC300. A lot of students don't like this course, but he does a good job with it. He helps answer homework questions and with the cases. You can tell he genuinely cares about his students and did a good job explaining statistics in Excel which can be really confusing. I took it hybrid which I highly recommend!
Only about one maybe two assignments per week. There are two case studies that are each worth 10% of your grade and he does them in class with you so you get a free 100%.
Lectures were pretty boring and didn't help with Excel except for the days he went over how to do the cases. He was constantly late and then ended class late which was unprofessional and annoying to the students who signed up for his specific class time and had other commitments or classes after his. Had to miss important parts of the lecture.
Has attendance like 3 time in the year. If you go to the class you will get an A.
He was a decent teacher, late to most classes by 5 mins so don't worry about being in early. Did a lot of the homework in class, this helped tremendously. Things that I would have found difficult by myself he helped a lot. Try to interact with him in class if you want to have a fun time with him. Also had to stay late for a lot of classes.
The lectures are easy and quick. Attendance is not mandatory besides three times in the semester that he announces before. He provides solutions and help for majority of the assignments and solves some of them in class. It's an easy A as long as you do the assignments.
Professor Baum is one of the best professors WPC at ASU has to offer. He's smart, knowledgeable, friendly, and funny. He likes to keep class engaging by cracking a few jokes but also setting expectations for what's to come in lessons, future cases, homework, and tests!
Baum was the Bomb! He's knowledgeable, friendly, intelligent, and funny. He makes sure to go over the conceptual and Excel parts equally to fully be able to teach the course with the content presented. If I were you, I would take him for WPC 300.
Baum was the bomb! He's smart, funny, and friendly to his students, who are there to learn and do the job. He goes over the Excel and conceptual parts equally to fully immerse you in WPC 300 content. If I were you, I'd take him.
Talks too much and is not funny. Was rude to me and complains nonstop. Would not recommend
Baum made this class even easier; he reviewed the cases with you worth 20% of the grade and did his best to ensure students did well in his class. He seems to be the best professor who teaches WPC 300, as no other professor offers as much guidance as him. If you are taking WPC 300, I would recommend taking him. He also responds to emails quickly.
great professor overall but sometimes teaches over the designated time. very excel intensive but he does lots of your homework in class. Just do good on the Myeducator and you are set!
Pretty straightforward class. It's essentially just excel work. Professor Baum goes over a lot of the homework in class before it's due and runs through the excel case studies in class with you. He also helps prepare you for tests pretty well and gives you the lingo that will be used so you don't get tripped up. He also cracks some jokes in class.
Professor Baum is an amazing teacher. When going over different topics, he makes sure to provide easy to understand definitions and reasoning behind different functions. class isn't mandatory, but you do lose chances for in-class only points. Baum is pretty funny. SideNote: ASU is so expensive, why would you waste money not even going to class??
Professor Jeffery is a very interesting teacher. Every time before the class, he will bring the atmosphere and the class will help us solve the problem! I really like him!
Great professor. Cares about his students and does what he can to help you succeed, even when the designers of the class don't. His lectures are easy to sit through and will point out the most important things to remember, and he does spend some time each lecture asking how people are doing and goofing around. All around mensch.
Professor bomb is the GOAT. He opens class with jokes and small talk, showing he is a real person and relatable. His lectures are very clear and in depth, and make sure you understand the concepts well. He very clearly lays out step-by-step guidelines for how to do excel functions and formulas, making it easy to understand and remember. Take him!
The class itself is pretty difficult but it's mandatory so I had to and Prof Baum was literally the best. He explained things super well and was always available for extra help if you needed. Although it's a difficult class, if you do the assignments and pay attention you can get an A.
I truly recommend this prof for WPC300. The material itself can be challenging, but this prof truly cares about his students. He is accessible outside of class, has office hours, has a TA. The case studies will be the most helpful for the exams. Everything is through myeducator on excel.
Difficult class if you don't pay attention and try to breeze through it but otherwise, he's funny and an overall good professor. Chronically late to class though 😂 lol
Love this professor take him for WPC300! We do the cases in class together and he helps on the assignments if you need it. Only 2 exams, first exam is in class and second is remote. Open notes and can use past assignments. I seriously cannot recommend him enough! Also you can tell he actually cares for his students.
I highly recommend taking him for WPC 300. He truly cares about his students and wants them to succeed. Nothing but positive things to say about him. While the material can be a bit difficult to understand. I recommend asking questions in class, since he is knowable and will provide examples and feedback.
Lecture times are used effectively and homework is manageable; this professor uses lecture time very appropriately and is very helpful as well as explanatory.
Great professor and easy to engage with. Excel can be hard to learn, especially for someone like me who has never really used it. However, he walks you through everything you need to know formula wise. As long as you go to class, you'll be okay. I bombed the midterm and ended with an A because I did well on all assignments.
The professor is very funny, and he always cares about his students. He makes the class easier. Attendance is only mandatory on some days, and on those days, he posts a reminder announcement. The first midterm is in class, and the final exam is online. The cases in class were very easy because he helped us.
This guy truly is the bomb. He truly cares about his students even though he shows up late some days. However, he will go through cases with the class and exams are open note. He's also one of the funniest professors I've ever met at ASU. His pacing and structure of the class is perfect, and I'd definitely take another class with the bomb himself.
Professor Baum is the actual GOAT. He is super helpful with all of the assignments and can help you understand everything in the course with ease. His attendance is mandatory some of the time when there's a case in class, but I liked going to all the classes because he's just a great guy and I felt bad not going.
This class is one of those fluff, inessential, needless classes that ASU forces WPC students to take. The material is monotonous, but mandatory, so it's better to have a professor who doesn't make your life harder. Trust me you'll want Baum. He'll go over the assignments/cases in class, so if you just show up you'll get a lot done.
I was scared to take this class originally, but this professor made it easy and stress-free. He is super nice and will always help if you need it. Best WPC 300 professor for sure. If you can, TAKE HIS CLASS, and thank me later. Does a lot of the cases in class.
Professor Baum was very caring for all of his students. He would help us with anything we needed and his class was very easy to navigate.
I feel as if this course could've been half a semester long, but it did make class a lot more laid back as we usually did not cover a lot of the material. Baum would occassionally show up late, but never ran over the original class time, so it wasn't a big deal. My roommate took this class online and struggled, so I recommend taking Baum instead!
Very nice, funny professor. Doesnt do a lot of things by the book and does most assignments with the class.
He was one of the best professors I have ever had. He gives us very flexible options, for example, the lowest score on many assignments can be dropped, and the Final Exam was also an open book with a very long time limit online and overall a very flexible course. The prof was very jovial and funny and made the class very enjoyable.
One of the best professors I have had. He is not a tough professor; the class itself can get difficult/confusing, but he helps you through it to the best of his ability. He wants the best for his students and tries to engage with them every class period. Attendance was mandatory, like 5 times, the semester.
He is such a caring professor and wants to help! He does about half of the weekly HW in class, walking us through it. Attendance is only taken 5 times, and he tells you when to come. Yes the content isn't that fun but he helps get you through it. Midterm exam in person (open note), and final exam is remote. Recommend taking WPC 300 with him!
Baum made the class straightforward and easy. Each week, there's 2 assignments. There's also 3 cases throughout the semester. He walks the class through an assignment every week and most of the cases. Usually each assignment and case has at least 2 attempts, which is nice. Baum is very open to students asking questions during lectures
Best professor in all of ASU!
He is an amazing professor and extremely helpful.
Genuinely one of the best professors at ASU because he made a class that is typically not easy feel easy through his useful lectures. This is the one course I have learned so much valuable information and can apply it . Attendance is "mandatory," with attendance quizzes, but lets you know in advance. He's also super personable and funny!
Really recommend this professor, the class itself is mostly learning Excel and can be tedious but he makes it easy to follow along and you can tell he really cares. He's also hilarious too
Such a great professor, loves his students and loves teaching. Class was overall pretty easy (If you like working with Excel). Optional attendance but required for case/exam days
He is a chill Professor who will always ask you how your week was and if you have anything interesting planned for the week. His assignments aren't that tough and he usually goes over the trickier questions in class. His exams are not bad and his lectures are quite fun to attend. He teaches an interesting way to remember concepts.
I think people are being dramatic. He is a really kind professor and the class is easy if you try. Lots of excel but thats what the class is about. Creates a safe space to ask questions in class and the cases/ tests are just fine. Only thing that sucks is he won't round your grade but he mentions that from day 1 so not a shocker.
Professor Baum is pretty dope. He makes the mandatory class easy to get through with his lectures and walkthroughs. Provides a lot of resources and easy to contact. Learned a lot. Funny guy.
