I really enjoyed him as a teacher. Very nice guy and even inspired me to have my paper published in the newspaper. I liked his humor:)

This guy is kinda odd but if that doesnt bother you take this class. You only have 4 or 5 papers and theres no final exam. You just need to find a way to keep yourself awake.

You won't learn anything, so the class is really easy. You never know when he'll take attendance. In general it was boring, but every now and then there is a good discussion.

Great teacher. The class is a little boring but it is worth sitting through. Do good on the papers (which are very easy) and you will do good in the class. He gives a total of 5 papers, but they are only 2 pgs long! Take HIM!

i have his class now, and i really like the way he teaches, and i personally learned alot from the hand outs that he gave out. so far so good. i am learning and at the same time enjoying his class.

Hes a great teacher. He assigns great books thats are really interesting if you take the time to read them. If you want to learn on how to write dont take him but if you know what your doing its easy. I recommend taking him, he has interesting insights on life! He should be in philosophy.

I took Mr. Brown over the summer and really enjoyed him. He's intelligent and funny. Knows a lot about a lot. He can talk on many subjects and covers them with ease and humor. He also heard that he had cancer several years ago, and this is why some may feel he is "boring." He didn't have the energy to get out of bed, nevermind teach. I admire him.

He's awesome. I can't believe you guys are ranking on him. He, like other adjunct professors, teaches six classes! Full timers only teach 4. And, adjuncts have to prep for new classes EVERY SEMESTER. Full time teach the same classes over and over, so sure he may seem lazy, but, dah! NO. He's kind, helpful, intelligent . . . He's AWESOME!

Great teacher. Wants students to think outside the box, encourages witty comments, and is quite funny. He likes to talk about a wide variety of subjects, but if you do the assignments and pay attention to what he has to say, an A is not out of anyone's reach.

My friend recommend me this class and it was really horrible. you'll do lots of jounals and he'll always give you a lower grade than you had expected. If you want to get an A in Eng 101 course. you should not take his class.

I really enjoyed this class. prof. Brown gave us 3 books to real for our essay assignments, and I loved all 3 of them. He is always talking about interesting material.

This was a great class, with an excellent, interesting and funny instructor. I learned more in Professor Brown's class than I dreamed I would. Professor Brown is very flexable, so if you require "extreme structure", don't take his class. If you have questions, don't be shy - ask! I found this insturctor to be approachable and very helpful.

Proff Brown is very interesting. He told us he gets bored and changes his course regularly so I can't tell you what exactly to expect. He randomly takes attendance so its hit and miss. If you know how to write well, this class will be easy. If you need help, may be hard. He doesn't show up sometimes which can be annoying. Overall, ok guy.

The ease of this class depends on your overall experience with the English language and English experiences. Most of my classmates struggled, however only 4 students spoke English as a primary language. I've took college prep classes in high school so I found this class to be easy. Attendance is mandatory but he canceled a bunch of our classes.

Pretty easy, just do the work that he assigns. He is funny and is willing to help you out. He talks about himself a lot. I did all the essays, about 4 did the journals and got an A.

Jeff Brown is a pretty cool guy and isn't afraid of anything. As long as you use your intuitive thinking and inner projection in his class, you'll get an A for sure. Peace!

Teaching English, heart touching the most honest person i have ever meet.

This teacher finds a lot a value in giving applicable advice to his students. Very little English is learned, but he is fully aware of this and acknowledges it often. I believe he genuinely cares about making an actual impact in the lives of his students. If nothing else, there is value and good teachings in the assigned readings.

The best teacher ever...take him if you want to learn something for your life...love him...super easy class.

Said I would be getting a b and have me a c. Talks a lot about success, etc. but don't expect a good grade in this class.

Not sure why he has so many haters. HE is the G.O.A.T.!! Inspirational and life changing. If you're a nerd and actually trying to learn English don't take this class. Funny guy, took his class for English MO1B Critical Thinking and wasn't disappointed. Only 4 essays due throughout the semester, including the final paper, hardly any homework or tests, and cancels class often.

His class is really fun to be in. Easy grader, two simple group projects and presentation, and a final. He goes off topic a lot on why school is a waste of time and he likes to talk about politics. Every now and then he may not even show up to class without giving any notice beforehand. Do the Essay's he assigns you and you'll pass with an "A" or B

I took Brown in the summer of 2015 and thought that this class was AWESOME! Ya he gets off topic but the essays are really easy to write. Just write 4 essays and 2 group presentations and you will get an easy A. For the people who actually want to learn, THIS IS NOT THE CLASS FOR YOU. This is for people who want to get an easy A and move on.

He is a very knowledgeable and brilliant professor. He knows how to teach, His teaching method is up to date. He wrote several great books and I read some of them. Love to take this class again..

Hes the GOAT just write his essays and do PowerPoints. Hes hilarious and wants everyone to do good. Straightforward on what he wants and dont think of it to much. Not the class for English majors. Definitely the class for all others needing to get English Compostion out of the way.!

He's one of the professors that does a lot of group projects. You do four paper which are relating to his lectures. Brings up a lot of politics in his lecture and relates it to the reading. He gives you good feedback if you have errors on your paper. He overall hilarious in his class.

Mr. Brown is easily one of the realist professors I have ever come across. This man will never BS any of his students, and is always 100%. Mr. Brown brings a business-like style to his instruction of English, which encourages us to be successful. All of the books he has assigned has benefited me in some way. I have so much respect for this man.

Loved him so much. You don't learn anything new, but for me being a student that just wanted my english credit it was amazing. Gives about 4 essays and one quiz. Your grade relies on how you do with your essays. One group work presentation that was easy. He mainly talked about politics and how he dislikes his family, but it brought a good laugh.

This guy is a absolute legend. Talk about an easy and educational class. No homework besides for papers and sometimes PowerPoints. I took this class over summer and didnt show up half the time and still got a A. You have to be either be a sensitive wuss or stupid to not pass his class. Seriously, something is wrong with you if you dont pass

Took his class during Covid. Lectures twice a week that are an hour long The lectures are based on your homework or reading for the week. You have to do four papers in MLA format and take one quiz. Homework consist of readings and YouTube videos. & you have a week to turn in the homework. Easy A.

I've never met a professor so caring, only 4 essays. Final was simple and easy. Great book we read in the class, not a boring book but a book that can help you towards life. 10/10 Recommend!

Prof Brown has a very strict but clear grading criteria. He outlines exactly how to get a good grade but it does require time and effort to be put into the class. I took this as a summer class and it was very fast paced. There are 4 papers (5 if reg semester) all 3-5 pages long except the last one 5-7pgs long. Not an easy A but very interesting!!

Professor Brown's class was such a refreshment. He incorporates the assignments with real-world knowledge and his insights gave a good perspective on the world that we are going into. He is very knowledgeable.
