Had him for three Psych classes, I really enjoyed them. The test were easy and his lecture was interesting.

I like him. he is very clear and if you do the work he will respect you and treat you with fairness. He is very interesting.

You can miss two classes. It's not that bad, and he appreciates people who talk to him and interact with him.

He will prepare you for further studies, but he is not for the faint of heart. Moody, but strives to be reasonable. He absolutely despises inattention to detail - lateness, interruptions, cell phones. Not very flexible. Despite all of this, he knows his stuff and he can teach those who prepare.

This was my favorite class all semster. The teacher can be somewhat difficult to deal with if you get on his bad side....so dont. Always be on time, put cell phones on vibrate, and don't complain. Tests are too easy though, strait out of the book.

Prof. Cohen is a very good teacher. He knows his subject well and is very informative. If you are a serious student and don't behave as if you are still in high school, you will pass the class with flying colors.

Honestly he is pretty easy if you follow his study guides. His exams are not tricky and straight forward. Cohen tells you what to read and what is relevent to the exam. Peace.

This class is pretty easy, just study the study guide and you will do well on the test. However, he is EXTREMELY ANAL! NOT the teacher to take if your are absent a lot. Attendance is worth 20 % of your grade soif you show up the class is easy. Also, DON'T be late, even by a minute. he takes roll EXACTLY on time, if not early!

i cant believe people are saying this class was hard. Read the book, take notes, you should do fine. 25 multiple choice questions. He even drops one of the exams. I got 24/25 on all the exams. I do agree with him being very anal. Dont talk, dont arrive late, dont skip class.

I had Mr. cohen for stress management and Human Sexuality. He is one of the greatest professors, really knows his stuff. You need to study, read & take notes, you know like real students do!! He is willing to help in eveyway possible, just don't be late to his class!! Participate as much as possible & you'll do fine!

However, these requirements are common sense. The test (MC) is not hard, although sometimes there are some tricky questions. And there is one term paper. Study and get an A as I did.

he's a nice, little guy. he gesticulates a lot and has lots of weird mannerisms, him being a therapist, i wonder if he tries to analyze why he does those things. he loves to use the word "facetious". he is super, super strict on tradies and following the term paper's instructions. I loved his classes! I took Life Span Psych, Abnormal Psych, and Psych of Sexuality with him. I'm female and found myself to always be in his good graces. Don't remember him favoring the boys. I was 5mnths pregnant while taking his class, and i passed with a B. I never read the textbook, honestly i did not. I just listened to his lectures, and i found him pretty funny and interesting. I found his abnormal class hard! he has 3 exams for the abnormal psych class. (7 chapters per exam, MC 50 questions) and 1 term paper which is a chunk of your grade, and it either makes or breaks you. It was a very interesting class becuase you get to learn about whats crazy and whats normal. overall, he's ok. just turn off your phones, and STUDY!

psych 101 with Cohen was great. its an easy A. he does keep track of attendance and he'll mark you absent for using your cell phone, besides that its an easy class. he gives out study guides for every test and each test is 25 questions multiple choice. his lectures are really entertaining and his stories make it worth while.

Hes very mean at 1st, but hes a cool guy, kind of funny. Just go to class and pay attention and youll be fine. You will learn some interesting things.

Attendance policy is ridiculous. Was late about a minute in total for the entire semester but that lowered my grade. Otherwise, extremely entertaining, and educational - as it should be. Prof. Cohen makes it clear on day 1 that highschool BS won't be tolerated. Cell phones aren't allowed, and the attendance policy is strict but necessary.His lectures are informative and his stories are amusing. He makes it clear that he doesn't like Pres. GREAT TEACHER! STudy Guides are key! Simple. Go to class EVERYDAY! Turn your phone off, and don't talk... get your term paper pre-approved, and there is your A in the class. This is an easy class. He explains well and gets carried away. Sure he has his favorites, but he keeps the room quiet which is good. I mean if your the kind of student who cannot not talk for an hour, or text, or just plain ungrateful then this is not your class. Students are at pierce to learn, not to listen to your conversations or complaints.

I don't understand what the hell is wrong with most people. Everyone thinks it's the end of the world to attend class and put your phones away. Professor Cohen is an amazing teacher! I took Psych 1 and 14 with him. He is helpful and clear. Don't trip out about how he gets angry when you use a phone in class. Its college, grow up and put your phones away. His lectures are always interesting. He only requires you to do one term paper, but I suggest you read the book so you can ace the tests.

Good prof., shows students a variety of exercises to manage stress. I fell asleep during the relaxation exercise on the first day & he laughed, & explained that it happened sometimes. Study the notes & the book both are necessary to do well on exams. There was also a paper & journal entries. He was also obsessed with, "Dexter." when I took him.

Really interesting class! Learned a lot. I enjoyed him and found him to be really funny at times. Class wasn't that hard. Just go over the notes and read the book. One thing though is that he really HATES it when you fall asleep in his class or if your phone goes off so make sure to put it away!

He's pretty straight forward, if you take good notes, come to class and pay attention you can get an A. He helps you with the paper that's due later on in the semester by giving you great feedback. There are about 7 tests , 8 including the final exam and 1 writing assignment. The tests are usually 3-4 classes apart and usually include 2 chapters, and the grade is given by next class. The book helps a lot, especially if you bring it to class. Make sure you get your article approved for the writing assignment, because that really helps!

Amazing teacher! Surely, he's no the easiest class but I could not have asked for a better teacher! I can honestly say I learned and I loved his class so much that I am planning to crash his class just so I can retake all the amazing notes he gave us!!!! University-level professor. Take him if you're planning to transfer. He's a good look into what university academics are like. Cuts through a lot of student's BS which is very refreshing. Read the book, attend class and you'll be fine. If you're the type of person who likes to get spoon-fed their academics then avoid him.

Professor Cohen is my favorite professor I've ever had. If you're looking for a teacher that doesn't care about his students and just hands out A's just for attending this is not him. He is an amazing professor and he knows his stuff and on top of that, he makes the class so fun and interactive! He is caring and funny and I truly enjoyed his class.

For our class there were 3 tests (non cumulative) and one 5-page paper. He gives study guides 2 weeks before the test so it's plenty of time to prepare. Just attend class (4+ unexcused absences-drop), and turn your phone off or on silent in class. He mostly gives lectures with some group discussions. He can come off as defensive and rude at times.

Professor Cohen was very knowledgable. If you care about learning psychology he is the professor for you. If you also are serious about being a student this class will be a great experience. Don't take his class if you don't value education. He won't let you sleep or use your phone which a serious student will actually appreciate. Great experience!
