Mr. Daniels is a great teacher. He is easy to talk to and he knows the material he teaches. To get an A, just do your work and participate in class.

I rarely come across teachers that I would classify as "great". Prof. Daniels is definitely one of them! I had a great time in his class. The assignments were interesting and very helpful in helping me find my style of writing. He creates a great environment for learning. I was sad when it ended.

Pr. Daniels is probably the best teacher I had in college as far as helping the students. He is very understanding and he is also very patient.He knows his material very well.I believe he can easily be a teacher in the best Universities of America. I'm international student and he was very helpful.

Jeff was a really great teacher. I would take another class eith him at any time. Be prepared to write and generate ideas for essays. His teaching material is interesting but requires one to think. Missing days can hurt you because you can miss a very important lesson. He is also funny!

Jeff is easily the best teacher I've had at HWC. He is one of the best teachers I've ever had. He is an extremely smart and funny man. I am still in awe of how quickly he can pull an example or story out. Jeff usually talks for the whole class period, but it is rarely boring.

I think he's a nice guy, but what comes to teaching and preparing for a research paper he didn't do enough. Majority of his classes he talked about interesting , but irrelevant things. When grading essays, he would give a grade, but wouldn't correct the mistakes, that's just lazy. Didn't learn much....

I don't understand why everyone thinks he's so great. I didn't learn anything in his class. He was talking a lot, mostly about irrelevant things (like animals:)), but as far as writing I did not learn much. He gave three papers to write, graded them , but never pointed out the mistakes.

The stories we discussed may seem irrelevant at first, but we were learning how to argue. Some of the slower kids never got that. I am thankful he treated us like real college students-- working in groups could be irritating when some kids expected the prof to fix their lazy typos and grammar mistakes. That's not how you learn! Anyway, great prof.

ENG 102 made interesting. Great class dicussions, not typical english class. Most classes debating, rather than note taking instructions. A It wakes you up! Jeff is a super smart guy, great arguer, and thought provoking. Provides a great example of how to argue in papers. You have to know what to ask if you need help though...be self involved!

This guy is a rare teacher. Hes so cool, I've been out of his class for 2 years and we still talk. He helped me open my mind for this creative writing class. I loved him hes the best.

He is a very good professor, easy going. I have learned so much useful things in his class without even knowing. He broke the boring tradition rule of English 102 class, made it very interesting yet profitable. He is smart, funny,patient and very nice. I admire his attitude towards English as second language students.

Creative Writing class was amazingly easy. Funny discussions about authors and easy assignments.

So far the BEST English teacher I have ever had in my whole life! His classes are very interesting and I am sorry that so many people quit in the middle of the semester, 102 isn't easy, but I don't believe any other professor could make it more interesting.

Great professor. He is very meticulous with grading you on grammar as well as punctuation on your papers. However, he is also very accessible for questions and feedback on your work both during office hours and by email. The class does take a lot of work to get an A but it is possible.

He cares about his students and is really responsible. He is very smart and open minded. He will challenge yu because he knows you can do better. He will not curve your grade, but he will give you insight on what to improve.

I took his Creative Writing course and he was awesome. He was very open minded and was helpful at providing new perspectives for class. Definitely would recommend this course to anyone.

Mr Daniels is by far one of the best teachers I've had. He explains various essay writing techniques and tools by applying them to real life situations making them easier to grasp. Although he is a tough grader he does it to make you improve I only wish I had the option to provide more than a 350 character comment on this truly wonderful teacher.

I could go on and on about how wonderful Mr. Daniels is. Truly the best professor I have had yet to date. Creative writing was fun and interesting, and opened up new doors for me. He is extremely passionate, and always willing to listen and help you. Looking forward to taking English 102 with him! Take his classes!!!

Nice teacher

Daniels made Eng 102 one of the few classes I enjoyed going to since I started Harold. The class isn't particularly hard, but you will be expected to participate in the discussions and write some of your essays on a computer.

Take this proffesor , he is great. You will Learn a lot and at the same time enjoy the class. One of the best English teachers I've taken.

Great teacher! he was very nice and very helpful. His lectures were so good, I've never bothered to look at the clock to see when the class would end. I highly recommend taking him for English 102! or literature and Creative Writing.

Currently in his class now and he is a very engaging professor. Very funny and allows a lot of room for discussion oh whatever poems we are reading. All he requires from us is given in the beginning of the semester in the syllabus. Has a lot of sweaters and the book wasn't needed because you can just look up the poems on Google.

Great Professor for (Poetry)Lit 111 .... Engaging and open to different perspectives on great works. Go to class everyday and arrive on time because he does take off for poor attendance. You will definitely pass if you do his weekly discussion boards by Sunday 6pm. If you follow my advice you will PASS !!!

Took him about a year ago but honestly he's one of the most humble teachers ever. He can be a bit tough on papers but you will learn something from it.

He's also just fantastic at teaching. Inspiring lectures. He can get silly but remain completely professional when needed. Would take again if I could.

Jeff is truly the BEST teacher I've ever had. I wasn't a big fan of English classes or even a big poetry reader, but after being in his creative writing class, I didn't hesitate at all to enroll in his other courses. He's knowledgeable, understanding, hilarious, and more than anything, very kind.

Professor Jeffrey Daniels is awesome to say the least. Class felt like a group of adults having a discussion. I had the afternoon class, so we were a group of working students. He is easy going - just be sure to turn in all essays, as he is a tough grader and they are mandatory to pass the class.

I loved this class so much. I have never liked an English class until I took this course. Prof. Daniels made the class extremely engaging and interesting. The class was mainly discussion based. We discussed all the readings and he transitioned them into the papers we were working on. He is also very helpful and insightful. I learned so much.

I really enjoyed my classes with Professor Daniels. I could tell that he works hard to make the material applicable to the needs and values of our contemporary culture. He's quite engaging and the class is inspiring and very thought provoking. I was always bothered by my fellow classmates who showed up late or not at all.

Sweater Jeff is the English teacher that reminds you that it's okay to speak up in class, even if your opinion isn't exactly mainstream. ENG 102 is very much class discussion based, and the content he chooses to use for his lectures is fascinating. He will sit down with you to help you push your ideas along if you're stuck on a writing assignment.

I would definitely take this teacher again! The discussions we had in class were very interesting and I actually looked forward to going to this class. We had 3 big papers to write including an 8-10 page paper at the end of the semester so get ready for that! He genuinely cares for you and you can see that! Work hard and it'll pay off!

This guy has amazing lectures. He doesn't really go over writing all that much at all, but his lectures mainly serve to help you get a sense of how to break down information and make inferences from it. If you're a good writer, you'll be just fine, otherwise, you'll probably have to visit the writing lab.

He puts lots of humor into his lecture and really connected with us on a personal level. Hes the type of professor to laugh at any joke a student throws at him, but always gets us back on track. He always knows if you put all your effort into a paper or just whipped something up at 12AM. Overall, he is a genuine teacher that will help you succeed.

Professor Daniels is a gem!! Overall, he's amazing that he makes you think a lot in his lectures and he is hilarious. He goes above and beyond expectations that I would've rated him 10000000/5. Highly recommend, he will change your life.

So bummed that my class went online half way through due to COVID. I looked forward to going to Jeff's class every day. He has the best lectures and gets the whole class debating and energized. Would highly recommend and would love to take his poetry class when in-person classes return.

Professor Daniels' class was amazing and one to look forward to. Very fun discussions, and not too much work. There were three main essays and one easy midterm test. If you like philosophical/conceptual topics (and not as much technical /definitive info) then take this class because it focuses on that. Would undoubtedly take this professor again.

Professor Daniels is very easy going. He takes his time to understand everyone's level and tailors his lectures to reinforce areas needed to pass. If you attend interact "ask clarifying questions" do the work, he meets you halfway. He provides the reading so no book cost, but several papers are required... It's English! A very fare professor.

I enjoyed his class because he makes an effort to keep everyone interested. I think he pays good attention and truly cares about the work you submit and wants you to be better. He gave really good feedback and wants everyone to succeed, but he is not afraid to give constructive criticism, and your grade will reflect how much effort you put in.

I loved having Professor Jeffrey Daniels. His evening class lecture was my favorite class, but he's a hard grader. I averaged a B, and most of my classmates had Cs. Getting an A on his essays is next to impossible, you would seriously need to dedicate yourself to a lot of tutoring sessions. With that being said, take him to improve your writing.

An amazing teacher, I can't believe he isn't at Harvard or something. 1st English teacher I've had that's been able to tell when I BS'd a whole essay the night before. Motivated me to really put effort into my writing. Super fun & interesting lectures. Not an easy class for a slacker like me, but so worth it! Extra credit for having your camera on!

Honestly, Prof. Daniels was the best professor I've ever had. He's very passionate about his subjects and he makes the class easy to engage in. I think he's better for people who are new to college as he definitely puts a lot of effort into making sure you are learning. All in all, he's a fantastic professor
