Really enjoyed taking this class. You learn a lot and makes subject interesting. There is no weekly homework, quizzez are take home, and test are not difficult if you pay attention.Gives you a study guide for test. There is library work due at the end of the semester but it is extremely easy. He is funny, and easy going. A great professor TAKE HIM!

Dr. Demsky was an excellent professor his lectures were fun and very interesting I enjoyed the library research allowed you to seek more knowledge on particular areas in which you the student found interesting just do the work he will help you if you have any questions also very funny. Dr. Demsky is the best history teacher i have ever had. We had many assignments but we always had more then enough time to do them. About once a week, he would allow us to go to the library and do our own research and get out of class. His lectures were very helpful and always interesting. He would always make the class laugh.

I've taken him for other history classes as well and without a doubt he is the best history teacher you can possibly get. He teaches in a way that keeps your attention and you learn that history is much more than just "things that happened". Attend the classes, and it's hard not to get a high grade and an actual understanding of the material.

Took online class. A LOT of work but he also did not have any deadlines. We had the entire four month semester to submit the assignments. I wrote him an email when I had trouble finding research sites and he sent back a few for me to look at. He was VERY helpful with the work but there is a lot to do. BTW: I learned SO MUCH about US history!

Dr Demsky is fair grader. His classwork is with group work and is simple. Just do the work and you receive full credit. His lectures are interesting and hilarious. Like he says he is not at "Time Warden" so if someone chooses to leave or not go to class, he is not offended by it. Highly recommend to take his class. Quizes are simple and tests.

Demsky is a fair grader. He lays it out on the first day. He made lessons interesting. Class was very straight forward. There is group work in the beginning of class and lessons were right after.

He is a really awesome teacher. really shows great enthusiasm with all of his lectures and constantly tells us how our govt is not a bed of roses and not instant problem solvers. tests are very easy with most of them being open book and research is very fair!! I highly recommend this guy for any of his courses!

Dr. Demsky is a beautiful man! His class isn't boring. He doesn't ask much from his student. Other than to do his group work, and quizzes; which both aren't difficult to do. I highly recommend him. His class is totally worth it.

Am taking online summer course rite now. the assignemnts are SUPER EZ! We watch a movie and write reaction. we look up five terms on internet and there are ten questions quizzes taken from the textbook. Professor seems fair and explains in feedback how to raise scores. I think I will pass w/o any problem.

this was not the worst online course I have taken and I have done more than ten. professor was organized and the assignments were open for entire semester w/no weekly deadlines. he also grades work very quickly. Passing class is not a problem.

Excellent teacher! The assignments are easy and straightforward. The quizzes are basically essays which are all take home. The midterms can be taken in groups in class! Most fun history class I've ever taken!

Great class. A lot of work but it's a self pace class so you have to have all the work done and submitted at the end of the semester. He puts up all the modules for you to work on. A lot of reading but if you do a module a week, you'll do fine. quizzes were really easy. No final. Just another book quiz. Can find answers easily in the book.

I took his HIST 100 online this Spring 2014, and his class was so easy and straight forward. He had 10 sections and for each section you had to do a quiz, watch a video and answer 4 questions about the video, and a discussion question. The quiz answers are in the book. He is an easy teacher.My gf and I finished ahead of time and got an A+.

Dr. Demsky is amazing! Love his personality and humor super easy class. Approx 12 portfolios due at the end of the course so simple you have to be an idiot not to pass, definitely recommend his class hes AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I took this class online because of the recommendations here. Professor Demsky is beyond awesome. He is quick to response to student. He grades homework within minutes with feed-back. His expectation is clear and precise. There's a lot to reading and writing assignments but if you follow Dr. Demsky's direction, an A is not hard to get.

The best online class I have had, and I have had 6. There are packets of work you need to complete, but for the most part it is on your own time, which really helps. The topics are really interesting and he is really nice! I wish other online teachers could learn from him.

I have never really been interested in history but Dr. Demsky made this class fun. I looked forward to coming to class. He assigns an in class packet that you work on with classmates and later he lets you use it on the final. AMAZING!! Take him I recommend it!

Took Dr. Demsky's Hist 101 class Fall 15 online. Very clear in expectations, syllabus is posted online and you are able to move along at your own pace. Gives feedback on all submitted work, and as long as all instructions are followed, his grading is fairly simple. Definetly would recommend.

Professor Demsky is clear and specific regarding what he expects from the homework assignments. This is a self-discipline kind of class, so if you are lazy go somewhere else. He uses videos that makes understanding the material much easier. His responses are quick and helpful. I absolutely hate history classes, but I would take his class again.

Professor demsky is wonderful all you have to do is a 300 word essay 12 times during the semester then you do the reading and complete the question packets in class in groups then you use the question packets on midterm and final easy A if you follow directions and do the work

Dr. Demsky is very straight forward in his syllabus. Took him online and the class was at your own pace. Make sure to keep on top of your assignments. He always replied back within 24 hours which was appreciated. He replies to emails as Dear Student: so his instructions are meant for anyone. Highly recommend.

Honestly easiest class ever. Show up and listen to his lectures. He gives you class work and then posts up the answers right after class. You can use this on midterm and final. If you honestly dont get an A in this class is ridiculous. Seriously you dont have to do anything to pass this class ahaha.

I had Demsky for History 101, and I definitely should have bought the textbook. For the online class, there are 2 text-book quizzes per unit that ask specific questions from the text. His class is easy, but don't expect an A if you don't have the textbook. The discussions and video papers make up for the bad quiz grades.

I had taken Demsky based off of reviews online. All very accurate. He opened up all assignments at the beginning and didn't require anything in until the end. VERY easy curriculum. Watch a video a week and write a blog. Couple quizzes each week. Overall I was relieved by taking his class. Especially 8 week course.

I took History 101 with Professor Demsky this summer and really enjoyed the class. He uploaded all of the coursework at once and allows students to complete the work as they please. I completed all of the work in the first week and received an A. He gives clear instructions and great feedback on your work.

I took his summer History 100 course. There is no reason not to pass this class. All you have to do is take the quizzes, watch videos and answer questions on them, and do a discussion board. A book is must have. Easy and interesting. He also replied to my emails fast.

I just finished HIST 145 online. It was a really great class. The movies were all interesting and the work was not hard for me. Dr. Demsky read all my work and gave awesome feedback. Super quick on his email and very encouraging to me. I do not really like history but this course taught me a bunch of things I didn't know about California!

I took him twice. Favorite teacher at Valley. Lectures are hilarious. He gives you class time to do homework. class is not difficult to pass.

Professor Demsky is a great teacher. His class lectures are interesting. I've taken his History 101 class and have just finished the online Hist. 145 and this was not difficult at all. If you take his online class, you work at your own pace and finish the class as early as you want. I greatly recommend him.

I took CA History online in the summer and it was a very easy class. 5 quizzes, 5 assignments, and 5 discussion boards. I'm sure if it was a full semester it would be one per week though. I didn't have a final or midterm. I didn't read textbook but I kept it close by when taking quizzes. ALL answers are in textbook just got to look for them. 10/10!

All 5 units made available at beginning of course. Worked at my own pace. I took the 5-week, online course over the summer and completed it in 2.5 weeks. Tests are untimed. Viewed 5 videos and did 5 discussion board posts of 200 words each. Learned more about U.S. history in this class than I learned in high school. Great course!

Hist 145 online was easy. Every module was clear as to what you need to you. Very organized and well structured. Grades fair. First online class, and I highly recommend him!!

Very straight forward with his grading process. Show up, collect the handouts at the end of class and you'll have no problems passing the exams. He gives you the whole semester before turning in the writing assignments, but make sure to not wait until the last minute to do them. This was my downfall, and ultimately led to my easy A becoming a B.

Read, comprehend, write about it. There's very few assignments for this class but you must follow all steps in order to receive credit. A lot of reading is involved but it will ensure you a good grade. Professor replies within a timely manner. He is willing to review assignments before submission to ensure you'll get a good grade which is amazing!

Nice and relaxing online class. You have a fair amount of time to finish the assignments he hands out. The final was a 500 word essay which wasn't hard at all. There is a lot of reading but managable as long as you don't wait last minute

Just wrapped up HIST 145 online. Loved this class! The movies were amaze-balls and I really liked the Barrio Boy text. BTW: the prof was very helpful and nice. He listed feedback (very encouraging) on all my work. Was also very quick in returning emails. Could not have been happier with this class/professor. DEF RECOMMEND!

he's a wonderful teacher he teaches you the best way he can. every time he teaches he gets you into the subject like you really wanna know more. his work are easy and his test might be hard but that only if you miss out a lot of times because he covers everything in his liectures

I took his online class. It was easy as long as you read the material and give an effort. There's a lot of reading.. In the summer session he give you all of the assignments upfront and they're all due by the end of the semester. I would take him again. Easy A as long as you try. 7 short essays. 6 discussions. Watch 6 videos and answer questions.

I took Professor Demsky over the summer and there was a lot of reading to complete the assigned work. He tells you pretty clearly how to get an A and is super responsive when asking questions and feedback on the assignments turned in. The lectures are so interesting and easy to understand.

Gives feedback almost immediately as soon as you submit an assignment. Emails are always responded to. I did not take advantage that he could check your work prior to submitting an assignment (For one module) but loved the fact that he offered to do so. Amazing Professor over all, but do get ready to read.

prof was very clear in his directions and grading. he also was 100% open to reading "draft" work prior to my sending in the assignment. that was a big help. PRO TIP: online professors cannot grade work until the STUDENT submits the work for grading. the prof cannot grade anything "early." they can only grade after students send in their work.

He is very specific as to the criteria to get the best grade possible. All of the work is completed through the canvas site (i.e. quizzes, assignments, and tests). As long as you answer the questions completely and at college level, you will get full points for your work. That being said, hard work will be required!

Best professor Ive ever had for history. Prior to this class, I had a different perception about the subject. However, Professor Demsky made it interesting, clear, and concise. Amazing lectures. I failed history before but with him I received an A. Im not required to take the next history class but I am going to take it because I like his methods

Professor Demsky had all the modules open so you can work at your pace. Im not the one to know very much about history but, I passed the class with an A. He responds to email fairly quick and he always gives feedback on anything you turn in. Im so happy I took him in the summer!

Loved this class and this Professor I would def take any of his courses again. I learned a lot and he was funny and easy to like. Yes you have to show up and do the work but as long as you do you should get an A

really good at explaining Politics. Not my favorite subject but he made it easy to get. work was easy enough. I liked the cartoon assignments. just complete a module for each week. he is very open on the deadlines. the book was free!

I recommend this professor. Leaves the work open all semester and is very quick on grading. I was nervous at first but he was really easy. If you have to take politics Demsky is the best choice. he does not give extra credit which is one thing i wished he did.

This class was good. The professor was very organized and clear with the work. I wrote him an email to ask about an assignment and he sent me a sample answer that really helped. Dr. Demsky was by far my favorite professor to date. His lectures are informative which helps with completing the assignments. All of his materials help to make sense of how the subject relates to current events, he provides many examples to help make it click. I wish all professors were this easy-going and supportive of their students.

Professor Demsky is great. His assignments were kind of a lot, but he made the class so interesting it didn't feel like work. I just wish he taught more classes.

There was a lot of assignments but as long as you do them you'll pass the class. His lectures were also really interesting. He explains things very well. There were quizzes, a short political cartoon assignment, and weekly essay questions. These were 3-4 questions and were pretty easy if you paid attention during the lecture.

He is very passionate and gives excellent feedback, he'll know from your work if you do not understand the material. He honestly makes politics funner and interesting to learn about. Clear due dates and grades fast.

I took his online quicker paced class. Weekly work was given, but was all due by the last day of class. Each week involved a discussion board, lecture essay assignment, political cartoon analysis, and a textbook quiz. I completed all work in 3 days as a procrastinator but do not recommend. Watch the lectures & turn in all the work, you'll do fine.

This is my first rate my professor review but Professor Demsky has by far been my favorite instructor at San Bernardino Valley College. He's very well-spoken and doesn't give you bs assignments except for maybe one thing I don't like but I highly recommended him for American politics as an online course or in person.

Professor Demsky's pre recorded lectures was my favorite! He is very entertaining and communicates very well. If you have any questions, he is easy to reach and is a fast grader. Procrastinators beware, he does not have weekly due dates. As long as you turn everything in on the last day you're good, but coming from experience I wouldn't recommend.

I love this class! Although if you are big on procrastination I would advise you to proceed with caution as it becomes really easy to forget the assignments since he doesn't expect anything until the end of the semester, but other than that he is super sweet, and actually made politics fun to learn!

Professor Demsky is a very knowledgeable and respected professor. The modules are organized and have the same layout every week. You are given a week to listen to the lecture, answer the assignment on it, a textbook quiz, a class discussion, and a political cartoon analysis. It sounds like a lot, but it is manageable, and I am a procrastinator.

Very kind professor! You have until the end of the semester to turn in all assignments. Each module follows the same structure of assignments so it's never a surprise. He leaves feedback on all discussion posts and writings so that you actually learn from your mistakes. He is very sweet and records all his lectures.

The Professor is very helpful and responds back quick. The best student tip is be up to date with lectures and read the textbook to assist you with the quizzes. The professor is a great communicator on subjects and his lectures actually help you complete the assignments with less hesitation and more understanding on politics in America.

Professor Demsky is a great professor i took his online summer politics class and he gave around 4 assignments per week which could be time consuming sometimes but great teacher regardless. i enjoyed his lectures and feedback.

No due date, everything is due on the last day of class. Quiz on chapters, essay assignment, discussion and cartoon political analyzed. If you need help, send him an email he will responds within 30 minutes. He is fantastic

Very easy class! There's 4 assignments including a quiz due each week. It's very straightforward and easy as long as you do the readings AND watch the lectures. If you miss a week, he'll leave the module open, but don't skip too many or he might drop you from the class.

Dr. Demsky was a very good professor. There were no due dates, so there was no stress about assignments. There is a lot of writing in his online class and a lot of video lectures. Basically, the course was just a lot of busy work. The only problem I had was that sometimes your assignments get marked down a point or two for not mentioning a topic.
