Although there was many assignments to get done, he tried his best for all his students to have enough time to get credit for everything and make sure we all passed

Best teacher ever. I thought MICROBIO was going to be the class I needed to be worried about the most, but it wasn't. If you need MICROBIO please take it with him, you won't regret it. He is genuinely nice and incredibly understanding. Easy A if you do all your work and are on top of your homework.

The professor is super understanding and does not try to drain or stress you out. Quizzes are held on lockdown browser, but they should not be something to worry too much about. 4 Lab exams, 4 Lecture exams, and 1 group project. These are the most important things to watch out for. Really funny and loves to joke around! Goodluck!

Professor Aquino's passion for teaching Microbiology translated into the students in our class which made learning fun and engaging! Grading was fair. Quizzes due weekly. Lecture exams and Practicals were based on powerpoints and labs! If you read and put the time required into studying, you are guaranteed to pass! Lockdown browser required.

A great, down-to-earth teacher who was available when I needed help outside of class hours. Class was always enjoyable, even when I had a headache or was just tired, and he really connected with this class. If I was taking another required science class I would most definitely pick him again.

Mr. Jeffrey Gomez is an excellent professor. I enjoyed the labs so much. No Homework, but instead he gives us 2 quizzes per week. Always answer the questions that we have in lecture class and in the lab. The PowerPoint presentations are well presented and organize. I recommend taking this class It will change your life, and you will learn so much.

He is a good professor, I took him for bio 2 online (non science major). He does answer quick on pronto, is an easy grader and everything from the exams are on the weekly quizzes which makes things easier to study; however he does give a lot of work so I dont recommend taking him with other difficult classes.

He gives a good amount of work but nothing over the top and he also provides extra credit to his students who need it. 10/10 would recommend for anyone who is taking any biology class!!!

Professor Aquino Gomez was an amazing instructor and extremely helpful when dealing with work and with lab experiments. The extra credit assignments were helpful with bringing up my grade, and the homework load was fairly light. However, it is mandatory to keep up with the textbook chapters for exams and quizzes.

He is 1 of the best teachers I've had. He takes his time to answer questions and makes sure everyone understands what's going on before moving on. His tests are not too hard if you study. There are 2 quizzes a week, 1 for lecture and 1 for lab. These are not hard if you understood everything that was happening. I highly recommend him as a teacher.

This professor was very patient and understanding when it came to the workload and made sure to not overwhelm us; while also efficiently going through the course material. So far one of the kindest professors I've ever had and it was truly a privilege to learn from him.

Make sure to show up, communicate and review all notes before exams. He is really understanding, wants all students to succeed, he makes time for any questions during lecture and outside of lecture as long as you communicate that you need help he is more than ready to give that. Take him! You wont regret it

Very good professor, always available on pronto. Not a harsh grader at all and he offers extra credit!! . Assignments consists of labs he provides a video of the lab and we have to just follow along and answer the lab sheet. There is always a quiz and a discussion but nothing difficult at all. I totally recommend this professor. :)

Amazing teacher, who always responded within the same day. And gave so much extra credit that I had a 103 at some point. I highly recommend taking him.

He answers any questions you have throughout the lecture and the lab. During the lab, sometimes I couldnt hear him so i'd frequently ask him to repeat himself and he never got annoyed. Best professor.

Great professor learned a lot about microbiology. Exams were fairly easy if you would practice the study guide.

He cares about his students and works with you when you need assistance. His labs are enjoyable and gives detailed instructions on how to preform each skill.

He cares about his students passing. Always answer your questions and provided great examples. Very informative while lectures and labs. Does give extra credit if needed. He is very organized and makes lectures fun as well.

He is very kind, caring, and understanding. I look forward to coming to his class every time we met. He is a very fun, and funny professor his class goes over a lot of information, but it all interesting I would rate him an 100 out of 10 a professor I will never forget

Very lenient with grading, it helped me pass.

Overall, this professor is about as easy as it gets. He's very understanding and will work with you in any given situation. As long as you put in the work you'll pass his course very easily. He gives extra credit very generously as well so as long as you take the time to do it you'll pass with a high A+. Would definitely recommend!

This professor has becomes a live saver, he has end less stories to talk about. He's nice and generous, he's not strict but he's always there to remind you about certain things.

Pay attention and ask questions!

This it's a great professor, the quizzes and exams are based on the lectures. All the information he teaches would appear in the exams. He always asks if someone has any questions and if they do he explains and answers the questions very well. He explains one chapter per day, which is really good since you get to learn the information more easily.

This is a great professor he goes over whats going to be on the exams very well. He goes over and explains the chapters and almost always what we went over on the exams. He is very nice and caring and will work with you if you have any questions about the class or the work. The lecture slides were also very well organized and posted online for us.

I really recommend taking his course because he is very detailed with his lectures and he is always willing to work with you if needed.

This professor goes into extreme detail in lectures all the while he describes these lectures in simple ways, he is also very understanding and doesn't mind when you ask an influx of questions, he encourages it!

He is a great teacher, and there are multiple opportunities to get a good grade in class. I chose bio for non-majors, and it was pretty easy. He is one of the most understanding professors that I had.

Definitely great as a teacher very intelligent and helpful. I believe does have expectations that aren't impossible to meet. Definitely do the extra credit assignments they help constantly.

Great professor, labs where done in groups and were easy to finish. quizzes every week with honor lock. Really easy class I would take him again. There is lectures one day and lab the other.

Responds to all student's questions. Not a hard grader. Made lectures interesting and fun. Overall, his class was not difficult at all.

The professor is very easy to talk to. He is very flexible with exams and uses HonorLock. He cuts the class into two sections. The first day would be lectures and the second half would be lab.

Don't be afraid to reach out to him for extensions to make up late work! Take advantage of the extra credit he gives to pick up your grade! And don't be afraid to ask questions, he's glad to help students in need!

He is a very understanding professor, which you do not see often. He made the course very interesting and easy to understand (considering I had to take this class again because a different professor was very hard). He is very nice and helpful, If I could take him again for any other class I would. :)

He was overall a great professor. Would take him again. Before an exam he gives you a practice exam that looks very similar to the real exam to help you study. You have assignments due every week. He uses lockdown browser on all quizzes and exams.

Great professor. There was 1 lab assignment and 2 quizzes per week, one being the lecture quiz and the other the lab quiz. He offers extra credit for each exam and creates a practice test for students that does not affect your grade. He is very attentive in class and if you need help with an assignments he will help. I had never had a good experience with a biology class until I Took Mr. Jeffery Gomez Aquino's class. He is a very understanding and caring instructor. He always asks if we have any questions after every 15 min. of lecture as to make sure you are getting the lecture. There are weekly quizzes about 2 per week and chapter exams every 3 weeks. STUDY

Professor knows what it takes to be a student, so he definitely try's to be fair with everyone taking his class. Class is fun and and his lecture were hilarious, I enjoy his class even though I don't like science. His assignments are straightforward and quizzes are over his lectures. He provides a lot of extra credit for lecture exams and lab exam.

I had a good time taking this class. This class in my opinion was easy, the labs and the exams were easy to take. He does give out extra credit, but it is optional. He is very understanding and will answer any questions that you have. I recommend anyone to take his class, and it was pleasure having to take him this semester.

Taking professor aquino is a 10/10. He is a great professor, understanding, and hilarious. If you have any concerns, he is always there to help. Grading is clear and assignments are easy. He speaks both English and Spanish, which is amazing. I would retake this class again, that is just how fun he is.

Awesome way of teaching and making class fun and enjoyable. He does give out extra credit and it is not required to do so, however, it is extremely beneficial if you do it because you learn more and helps you with all the assignments and exams. Mr. Jeffrey was one of the best professors I have ever had. I learned a lot in this class and he cared about his students and whether or not we were learning. The tests were proctored but we were allowed to use notes.

Mr.Gomez is very understanding. Although he has a strict deadline for assignments, he gives practice exams for both lab exams and lecture exams that help immensely. Don't ever feel intimidated with this professor! If you're having trouble, he is readily available to help. Very knowledgeable guy. You want a good class, take this professor.

There is a good amount of extra credit, and as long as you try, you are pretty much guaranteed to pass the class.

Prof. Gomez was always engaged with the class and willing to help us out during labs. A lot of content is covered in the overall microbiology course. However, the quizzes and practice tests allow you three tries, and the actual exams can be taken with one cheat sheet. Definitely keep up with your homework though, it can pile on fast.

The course is difficult as it is microbiology , but he makes it as easy as possible. There are a lot of exams, but everything is in the power points and it is very doable, he gives extra credit opportunities and makes the lab really fun.

The professor is amazing - def recommend! He explains the material very well and ties it well to the real world which made it more digestible. He is also willing to work with you if there is an issue. Very understanding! He also uses power point lectures which he provides you with a copy available online which is very helpful when studying!

Professor Aquino is an amazing professor overall! Took him for both 1408 and 1409 and have no regrets. His course consist of lecture and lab quizzes weekly, exams for every few units, research paper and final exam. He is flexible and understanding. Although biology is a tough subject, he makes class interesting and understanding. 10/10 recommend!!

The teacher was really helpful to us all students and was very respectful and helped us understand if we didn't know what something meant, and he would explain it to us in a way we could know. He would also explain the lab handouts so we could know what to do.

Such an awesome professor I really recommend, he is very caring and lenient. Microbio was so far my best science I've ever took because he made it so simplified and interesting. Professor Jeffrey Aquino Gomez's online class was very stressful. We had 2–3 labs almost every week, quizzes with Honorlock, weekly discussions with replies, and exams every other week (50 questions). A total of 89 graded items! He did offer extra credit, and I still passed with an A-, but it was a lot of work.

I took Professor Jeffrey Aquino Gomez in the summer and he was the best professor I've ever had. He is so nice and cares about his students. He gives practice tests- very similar information to the test. Extra credit opportunities. Wish he would teach BIOL 2 ! Just pay attention, take the practice tests, and do your work and you should get an "A".

Great professor if you have the chance to take him do it!!! The first week can be overwhelming but once you got the hang of it it's super easy took him in the summer he was rehash to reach out and really care about his students.

Mr. Gomez taught this class of 8 weeks and did well with the time allotted. There was some time crunch involved and some lectures had to be made available over the weekend. Even though he was busy with other matters he made time to respond promptly to student questions. The experiments were also very informative and were conducted safely.

Mr. Gomez is an amazing instructor. Very understanding as the majority of us are nurses or nursing students. He provides practice tests to help prepare for exams, and powerpoint lectures are really all you need for lecture exams as well. I enjoyed his class and have already recommended him to my friends who plan to pursue their ADN, RN or BSN.

AMAZING professor. Great with communicating with you. He assigns 2 chapters a week, 2 (5 question) quizzes, and a few exams throughout the semester. (everything is proctored and he will check recordings.) HE WILL HELP YOU IF YOU NEED IT! Just ask. There is a research presentation, very chill grader for that. Just do assignments and you will pass!
