Professor Haglund was one of the best professors I had at SFC. He is a great teacher. I feared Microeconomics however Professor Haglund made the class interesting and enjoyable. If anyone fails his class its because they didn't try. I highly recommend taking any class he teaches.

The best and worst part of the course is that he will stop and explain anything as many times as it takes people to get it. That only works though if you ask questions, which virtually no one did. It's an easy A if you just participate. Also he tells a lot of awkward Dad jokes. Just a head's up.

Professor Haglund is amazing and states from the start of class what is expected of you. You are only graded on 3 exams and a group project. The rest of grades are quizzes that do not count against you they are used for extra credit. The work is tough because its economics but show up to class and you'll understand the material.

He is a great and very personal professor! I have taken him for Micro and Macroeconomics, and both times I slacked and didn't show up to class much and never bought the books, but still got a B. An A in the class is totally do-able, but I work 30+ hours a week, so I chose to sleep rather than to go to class most of the time.

He gave so much extra credit, you shouldn't be able to NOT pass this class. His jokes are sometimes out of place but he tries to be funny. Tests are okay but if there is a " questions with more than one answers" type of question. he will give you the point as long as you back up your opinion.

Professor Haglund is a great guy with vast real world experience spanning over multiple countries, so the real world examples aren't all hyper-local and more interesting. While your passing of this class isn't 100% dependent on your attendance to class, making to effort to show up really pays off in terms of extra credit. You won't regret.

He explains that you need to do (not mandatory but suggested) the assigned homework, quizzes, and reading the chapters to be successful for the exams. Jeffrey Haglund is a great professor. I took him for both, Macroeconomics and Microeconomics. His lectures are great and he makes the difficult topics very life-relating and always tries to make a joke. He is also very caring and gives lots of extra credit, which is always a bonus. Prof. Haglund is really a great professor. He gives great lectures during class time and does not grade too hard. He makes sure his students understand . You have to be prepared for the tests there are 4 of them, pop quizzes for extra credit, and a 10 page final paper. Just make sure you study and do the homework in the book and you will pass!

I took professor Haglund for Microeconomics and what I can say is DO the homework! It is extremely helpful for the exams. Attendance is not mandatory but I would recommend showing up because he gives a lot of extra credit quizzes. This class wasn't necessarily easy, but if you do the homework and put in the work you can get an A.

Professor Haglund is a solid professor for microeconomics. Show up to class, do the homework and you will pass. Doing the homework is very important as the two units that I did do the homework I got A's on the test, but the unit I slacked off on I got a considerably lower grade. He can be opinionated at times, but this doesn't affect his lectures.

At the beginning of the semester he warns his class that he makes a lot of jokes that might be offensive and that he doesn't mean to offend people, I thought he was hilarious. His class is easy to pass if you do well on the quizzes, they are all extra credit. The final paper is worth a lot of your grade and it is a group paper so get a good group.

I took this class as a Hybrid (Fall 2020) and I enjoyed it. The McGraw Hill software he uses works great, his lectures are interesting and are overall engaging. The only thing I really didn't like was that he assigned three essays total (they were interesting topics and not too long) but offered no feedback on them to explain the grade given.

He does warn of his humor & political standpoints as it is an economy class. Online wise, McGraw Hill is a great source. Do your HW, it matters + easy. Exams are based on the LearnSmarts and HW. Attendance isnt mandatory but keeps track & does take note into that if you ask him for help. 3 essays, 4 exams, minimum of 3 HWs a week or more.

You can tell he genuinely cares about his students and if you email him, he'd respond that day. He made the lectures fun and enjoyable because he interacted with his students.

There are 3 papers with intriguing topics and they aren't too long. If you put forth a decent effort in the class, you'll make a good grade.

The Professor was great he had weekly lectures and checkins and was always available. I'll be honest though, I don't recommend this online course. We used an online textbook where most of our learning tools were. Overall it was really hard, I can't believe I made it through. I failed the final exam but passed the paper and managed a B, a miracle!

Dr. H is cool guy and he truly has your best interest at heart, he will work with you if you reach out. I took his class fully online and from my personal experience I would take him again, but in person simply because that is what works best for me. His online class is entirely on McGraw, textbook included. Reach out to him asap as soon needed.

This is a class where you must apply yourself and the professor makes that known. If you make sure to study and understand the concepts of the course then I think you will easily get a good grade. Some weeks there are more assignments due in connect than others, so if you are able to get ahead it will greatly benefit you.

Professor Haglund is an awesome guy but he does go super fast, so ask questions if you're confused. If you show up to every/majority classes you can get extra credit or he let me retake a test. I highly recommend taking Professor Jeffrey for Economics. He is super kind and really cares about your grade. He gave me multiple extensions when I wasn't able to complete my work on time due to sickness and personal reasons. I took the online class. LOTS of homework. Very fair guy, definitely wants to know you came away with sufficient knowledge of micro.

Communicates well, lets you make up exams if you have an emergency, easy helpful homework. All of the questions on homework and smartbooks prepare you for the exams. I would take him again!

All textbook material is posted online in the form of McGraw Hill. Assignments usually consist of watching videos that cover topics within the given chapter, a homework assignment, and a lengthy assignment that is usually around an hour long and may contain new material. There is a pass or fail paper in the course so be wary. I enjoyed the videos.

Great Professor, instructions and grading policies are clearly listed and defined. The online course uses mostly McGraw Hill Connect for assignments but weekly lecture videos are provided as well. Professor Haglund communicates with students very quickly and weekly help meetings are provided.

Professor Haglund is a very understanding teacher as long and has in depth power points. He has a good balance of homework assignments and tests, and he keeps class energetic. A very fair professor as long as you are a contributing student. Would take him again.

Professor Haglund's lectures is extremely engaging! My only complaint are the exams. I thought I throughly understood the concepts and studied for hours but bombed every exam. Micro is easy to understand, but the exams are very different from the assignments and the exams application of concepts are confusing.

The professor was good and the lectures were educational. However, I wasn't the fondests with how the class was structures being half online assigments with several being very painful to go through. The professor was nothing but good and the classes were entertaining.

My class met once a week, so it was mainly online work but just don't get behind and you'll be great. Professor Haglund is a fun and great teacher with lots of helpful things to say! I think that Professor Haglund was an amazing teacher. He was really funny and his lectures were always informational and helped with homework. If this class weren't hybrid it would be a lot better because I didn't really feel that prepared for the tests. This was an amazing class and got me to start investing and managing my money correctly.

I took Microeconomics online in my freshman year of college. He is a good teacher. I did the class online so there was a lot of self teaching and learning. Hw is McGraw hill. I have a B+ in the class but I'm sure I could have gotten an A I just needed to study more for the test, a good lesson I learned early in college. I would take again.

I took Haglund in Spring 2025. He was a great professor, but I had to drop the class because I couldn't wrap my head around a lot of the material. But he will do his best to try to make it make sense. He also had some great stories to tell to make the class laugh. I want to take him again.

This is my second course with Dr. Haglund and he is a great professor. He responds to emails quickly, is very understanding, and his lectures are very effective and engaging. Professor Huglund was amazing!!! I took him online and came to a few in person lectures, which I highly recommend because they were amazing. He explains the concepts really well and loves to help his students as much as possible. The class wasn't to challenging and exams are online through a free proctoring site.

Professor Haglund is a great and respectable teacher. He cares about how his students are doing and often participates in class discussions. There is a lot of homework but as long as you get it done on time you will do fine.

Professor Haglund was a great professor. His expectations were clear and even being mainly online learning was easy. The layout of the class and assignments makes it easy to succeed. I highly recommend him as a professor for Microeconomics, if I could've taken him for Macroeconomics I would've.

Professor Haglund is very straightforward and lets you know right away what he expects from you in this class. The material will be tough if you try and cram before an exam so make sure that you pace really well. Other than that he is really helpful and responds quickly to any questions. Highly recommend

Professor Haglund makes sure that everyone has a chance to participate in class whether its discussing related topics before class, during lectures or learning activities. He makes learning microeconomics a fun experience and cares about his students success. :)

Great professor and gave very efficient prep for tests and papers. He really cares about his students and wants them to succeed in and outside of his class. I would definitely recommend taking this class, just study and prepare and you will be good.

Overall, A very manageable course with lots of helpful material. Just make sure to complete all assignments because with difficult exams and papers, it would be pretty challenging to have an A with any zeros in the gradebook.
