Dr. Jackson is an amazing teacher! One of my favorites. He has fill in the blank outlines. He only assigns homework over what you need to know for the test. He gives a study sheet for the test. So far we have had 2 tests and I have made a 100 on both! Easy class if u pay attention!

I don't know what your talking about. This man is one of the best teachers I've ever had. Maybe mr. 8/1/05 flunked out of his class because he didnt study. No one listen to comment 8/1/05. It's an awesome class and an even greater teacher!!! :)

He is somewhat picky as to how he wants his class run. Its better to just follow the rules and go with it. He doesn't like being interrupted during lectures, but will answer important questions. Overall, he is fair, tests covered the materal discussed in class. Not a favorite, but I would take him again.

Go to every class and do NOT be late, if you can help it. He's very good and very knowledgeable and wants his students to do well, but he sometimes talks over your head. But if you study, you will learn everything you need to learn in Acct 1 & 2. Overall very good.

Great teacher, and would strongly recommend. The information is a lot to take in, and is pretty confusing, but he does his best to explain it. Also, he gives subtle hints about what you really need to know for the test, so be aware. Don't be late, and DON'T MISS, or you will get left behind. Funny guy too!

One of the best and most influential teachers I've ever had. Very clear on material and expectations. Teaches from an outline that you get from Blackboard. Offers a comprehensive exam after final to replace lowest test grade. Checks 5 homeworks (for completion) and drops the lowest. Gives 3 extra credit assignments. Do NOT miss class.

The easiest ACCT professor in the history of ACCT. Some of these ratings are a joke, this guy is anything but difficult in the way he teaches. How dumb do you have to be to not be able to pass this course, when the guy gives you a review a week before the test? Grow up and learn to memorize basic accounting concepts. Or just be an english major.

One of the best teachers in my opinion at san jac. He cares about your grades and is always there to help out as long as you put effort. The class isn't hard at all, but it will take effort to pass it with a good grade. Attendance and doing homework is a must if you want to make an A in his class. Mr. Jackson is one of the best professors at San Jac. He is crystal clear in lecture and you can only fail his class if you don't try. He gives you every opportunity to pass, and he truly wants to see you pass. Take him for accounting for sure.

Dr. Jackson has been a pleasure to take a difficult class with. I say difficult because the subject is difficult-not the teacher. He gives you every resource available to do well. I had to study, read only parts of the book because his notes are awesome, and go to tutoring-no way around it as accounting didn't come natural to me. Take him!!

My comment from 2301 was killed for some reason. Just took him for 2302 and loved it also. Dr. Jackson goes beyond just teaching accounting, and provides tons of info on getting ahead in life as well. Plenty of experience to draw from, his stories are helpful and entertaining. I took Professor Jackson for Acct 2302 Spring 2010 and all i can say is WOW!! He is so interesting and very knowledgeable. Loved the way he made this "hard" class so easy and fun. Gives us so much advice for future. gives outlines and his test are exactly that so no surprises as long as you do outlines and homework. MUST take professor hes AWESOME

Dr. Jackson ROCKED. I took Acct Principles I and signed up early to have him for principles II. I work during the day, but even if I was so tired I couldn't see straight, I still looked forward to his class.

Didnot do that well but I passed. There is alot of reading and homework to do. Expects alot out of you but is very helpful and gives you opportunities to bring up your grade. He also provides you with real life examples and gives you dave ramsey to read for an xtra 10 points on exams.

Dr. Jackson was such a great professor! He was very clear in what you needed to accomplish in order to excel in his class, and when I'd missed a class, he gave me a photocopy of what they worked on without me. The homework is a must because if you don't do the homework, you won't understand a lot of what you'll be tested on. All in all, he's fair.

Dr. Jackson is my favorite prof I've had since I started college! Acct is challenging,I was two points from a B but that's expected for that class. His reviews were very helpful for the tests. If you attend class, pay attention and study to the review- you should get an A. The hardest part is the homework, but it helps you understand and is graded on completion, then you go over it together. He'd be my professor of choice any day!

Does examples from the book that help with the online Cengage HW which gives you 2 tries on each. 10pts on 3 test's from reading the Total Money Makeover-easy pts. If you don't go to class you will miss information from the handouts.

One of the few professors or staff at San Jacinto that knows what they are doing. Dr. Jackson takes his class very seriously and you should too. He covers the material very well and is very easy to follow because his class is EXTREMELY structured. He has this down to a science but keeps it interesting. Show up every day and pay attention.

Great Professor!!! Lecture are easy to understand. Grades depend on 4 test and cengage hw grades combine together as a test grade (1 hw each week going over the material learned). His test are exactly over the review that he gives before.. As long as you understand the problems in the homework and do the review the test should be similar.

Dr. Jackson has to be one of my favorite professor's at San Jac his class is very structured. His reviews help a lot for the exam no surprises, a total of 4 Exams and then there was a lot of homework but it was a 5 week course, overall if you study and make an effort, its not an easy A but its worth it! I would take him again! :)

Accounting was a very tough subject for me. Prof Jackson explains the material in a fun way that helps you understand. Tests are mostly multiple choice and there are plenty of "gimme" questions. He was extremely nice and helpful, wish I could have taken him for accounting 1

I took Dr. Jacksons Accounting Class my first semester of college, and I was unsure if Id like business at all, but he managed to make the subject interesting to me and his teaching style helped me learn a lot about what I wanted to do for a career, and now Im confidently pursueing a Finance degree. Dr. Jackson was amazing! Hes lectures are what you would expect on the test. There is a lot of homework but very easy to do and helps to understand better. Dr. Jackson is very specific about when and what is due. He is helpful via email, Zoom, etc. if needed, not only for the class but as an advisor as well. I suggest taking this and your first accounting course, if applicable, at the same time. Like most courses, if you read carefully and do the work, you'll do well.

What you put in to this class is what you get out of it. You can not slack or get behind in this class or you will fail! This class is not easy and you really have to study, read, etc. His instructions and due dates are clear. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because he offers no extra credits however, tutoring (tutortrac) helped me a lot.

Dr. Jackson is an excellent professor, and he does want you to succeed. I loved his lectures and he has a "No-Surprise" policy in his class. What's on the review will be on the test. Weekly assignments, 4 exams, and you need to buy a Dave Ramsey book.

The reading is alot , so be prepared to take notes. Make sure to do practice question it will help you alot. The homework is pretty easy. The test were very hard 3 exams and 1 final. so make sure to study. I am taking him for two more classes

He really recommends reading the textbook which is very helpful but I did not read it, it just depends on how you learn. Have to buy a Dave Ramsey book. Lessons are super helpful so don't miss them. One of the greatest Professors I have had in the time I've gone to San Jac. Even though I bombed the final, I would take him again. If you need help for any of his classes, there are several ways to get help. He is always available and gives you all the information you need to know to pass this course.

He was a great professor, syllabus matches perfectly. One homework due each week and given a week to do it. Test reviews match the test and didn't have to read the book, he taught very well for me not to have to get a lot of information from the book itself. I would advise showing up to class, as he lectures every class.

He gave us one chapter of homework each week. Does no surprises for tests covering the same stuff in class, in our notes, and on the review. Gives great advice on how to make a good resume and stand out when applying for jobs. He's not big on email, but he'll provide a tutor if you need extra help. Lecture heavy and gets everything from book.
