Class is great. Dosen't read out of the book and notes are notes, not scribble.
Really Great! But he is very religious and kind of against science

Great Teacher, Broke the Projector Screen in SE117 though! :-P
He was the best teacher I have ever had at SVSU. He was very clear and helpful
I felt like I learned so much from him! He is an awsome teacher!!!
He made class interesting. I learned so much in his class.
Very good, influential class.
good teacher, makes me laugh a lot
Kind of good but also a creationist so he is scary too.
Good teacher, very logical ; unfair 20-pg paper for 100 level course though

overall very good prof

funny guy~ i enjoy going to his class!
Lectures were very interesting. Attend class, take notes, listen...you should get a good grade. The readings were interesting but you will do well even if you skip.
Interesting class, good teacher
great prof! Funny & easy! recommend it~ besides the 20 page paper!
Very smart guy. Funny. Hates his cat aurthur. Easy if you pay attention, except for the 20 page paper (only one though).
This guy looks like Ted Nugent. :) Class presentations were very effective. Discussions were awesome. I liked the way he taught.
not sure how someone goes from electrical engineer to philosophy professor, but we did learn boiling kittens for fun is wrong.
nice guy and an enjoyable class.
completely stuck on his own looks, not very nice or helpful. assumes you know everything. i would not recommend him
In his class all you have to do is take notes and be able to think for yourself-yeah you might have trouble if all you know is how to spit back facts but if you can think you can pass. That and he is easy to distract to another topic if you want to.
Good teacher, presents course material well and usually attempts to take a humorous approach whenever possible. Take him if you can.
Loved this guy. Interesting material. Only real work is a 20 page paper but once the rough draft is done, it is pretty easy. PLus he is willing to work with you. Made you laugh a lot. Just all around good guy.
This guy rocks! I wish I had recorded his lectures for its comedic value! You learn a lot! Presentation and small paper, but you learn so much from lectures that you'll breeze through it. Just be sure to read the books when he tells you; helpful on tests.
Terrible! His classes are easy, but his personality leaves a lot to be desired. Oh, and he's NOT attractive--unless you like graying ponytailed professors who think they're God's gift to academia.

The class is a little like math and while he was funny at times and made the class as interesting as possible....still was kind of boring. But he is a pretty good professor, one of the better philo profs on campus, if not the best
Lots of class discussions, sometimes gest off track but the class is not too hard

Interesting class, nice and smart guy. Lots of reading and notes, 2 papers, 3 tests, if you take good notes and understand it, you be fine!
Mean very mean. 20 PAGE PAPER!!! Has no feelings for human beings and the class is so hard. He thinks he is god and the best of the best. Take Judy Hill instead, stay away I warn you please stay away.
One of the best Prof's I've ever had a SVSU. Knows the course material and teaches it well. Only bad part is a 20 page paper, but once it's done, then the course is easy. I would recommend his class to anyone.
Great guy. Makes class interesteing just take notes and study the night before the test and you will be fine.
He keeps classes interesting, and is a pretty funny, nice guy.
Great professor-fun and interesting, even when the subject material itself isn't too exciting. One of the best here at SVSU and certainly the best within his department, in my opinion. Yes, there is a BIG paper but it really isn't as bad as one might first think and he is always willing and availible to help with it.
Very Good! This is a very easy class as long as you show up. Just take notes and look at them the day before a test and you will get an easy A
The class itself was not the most exciting, but he kept your interest. There is a paper and a presentation to complete for this class. The tests are right from his notes. If you look over your notes than you will be fine. Very nice professor!
A very smart man that can get his point across most of the time. The summer class was easy to get through and the tests were simple. If you have a chance to go first for presentations, do it. He grades the first presentations very easily. Overall a good teacher and a good class.
Philosophy of Religion in 02/FA. Maybe 7 students total. He is christian and I am agnostic, so the class seemed like a debate between him and myself, which was perfect. Not afraid to give his P.O.V., but explained on 1st day he was x-tian so you know. His lectures clarified a lot, and he explained things well. I really enjoyed his class.
Fun class, very interesting... thats sayin a lot considering I hate school...
strict
He is very helpful and just like the other said.I would recommand him.
interesting class, fun teacher and fairly rewarding course... take him for phil, he knows his stuff
Awesome prof. Makes class interesting and is very helpful in clearing things up. Copy his powerpoint and study for the best and you will get an A!
Took Intro to Phil of Science in Winter 2007. Fairly interesting course - balanced opposing theories well. Paper grades unecessarily complicated; the first test will probably surprise you. I did not read a page out of either textbook or very much of the required readings he had us print off and still managed a B+. Make sure to speak up, though.
Projects are easy cheezy. First test sucks, he lectures a lot and offers little application to make it stick in your head. Other tests get better as things begin to click.
Hard class. He is pretty straight forward. The tests are hard surprisingly. I like him I'd take him again
This class could of been intersting. Uses goog examples, however it is vary diffcult to figure out what he wants you to learn. Graded papers hard. Presentation was not bad.
Does a great job of making the class interesting, and makes great use of examples that allow the student to understand easily what he's trying to say. Unfortunately it is most times a little bit unclear as to what details you should pay attention too. He also Grades very hard, and it is for these two facts that i do not recommend him.
Excellent professor. Lectures were extremely interesting for the most part 97% of the time. I'm actually changing my minor because of this class. Has reading quizzes, two questions each maybe once a week and always warns first. Tests are easy if you have the powerpoint notes. One paper, only 2-3 pages. Would definitely take again.
I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Koperski. Easy class, as long as you read; Lectures are funny and interesting; His random tangents are neither confusing nor pointless, but rather help you remember details and are usually funny; Huge trekkie, and will use episodes as visual aids; Koperski = Philosophy: easy mode.
Dr. Koperski was great. The only thing you have for homework is a reading (usually one a week), which isn't more than a few pages out of the book. The next class he'll usually have a reading quiz which consists of two T or F questions so even if you didn't read it you've still got a good shot. One of my favorite teachers ever.
Awesome teacher, explains everything very well and is all around a nice guy. Homework was just reading once a week and the exams were not that bad... highly recommended
Good professor, very helpful, and likes to keep class interesting. Read the assigned text, and he'll ask you two questions about it the next class day as a quiz. His test are easy if you read everything he assigns. Very willing to help students, and very, very, funny.
Professor Koperski is amazing! His lectures are interesting, because he knows how to teach the theories while still being humorous. As long as you do the readings and pay attention in class, you should do fine on his exams! Very attractive also!
He was a great professor and it is a super easy course! You have a 2 question quiz every day based on the reading you do for homework but he makes them really easy! He tries not to step on opposing viewpoints as well. Exams take 20 minutes and no cumulative final! Definitely take him!!
Koperski is a great guy! He sparked interest in ethics when I couldn't have cared less before class. He explains everything very well and is a fair grader. I highly recommend him as he keeps things interesting yet informative. He also has a great sense of humor.
This guy is pretty cool and his lectures are great. He is funny and makes the class more interesting rather than dull. Brings real world experience and examples to the class. Tests are pretty easy if you pay attention.
Professor Korperski is one of the best teachers I have ever had. There is a quiz at the start of nearly ever lecture, but they are so easy its really silly. Two questions usually true or false and are simple questions based on the reading assigned. He makes ethics fun to learn about. His personality really inspires students to do well.
Great teacher, Pop quiz are true false and simple, test are easy if you study and print out his powerpoint
Gives reading quizzes, but if you read the material you're basically guaranteed to ace them. Makes the lectures fun with funny, real life examples. Exams are a little challenging, but if you know the material, they aren't too bad. One small paper and a presentation in the class too, which are both pretty easy.
Very good guy. Class is entertaining and worthwhile for engineering students. He did not post grades which made it difficult to keep track of your own, however he was willing to show you at any time, and willing to give advice if needed. Some test questions were tricky, but that's the nature of philosophy.
Very good teacher of a difficult subject in Philosophy! Makes very difficult material very easy to understand at a basic level. Very funny, and very relatable as well. One detriment I can say is that the paper (worth a LARGE portion of your final grade) is on a VERY tough scale. Tests and Mini-Quizzes are super easy. Would recommend.
Dr. Koperski is a good teacher with a reasonable grading scale. You can tell he really enjoys what he does and is passionate about the material. Loves when students ask questions. Good professor.
Koperski is one of the few teachers I've ever met that presents both sides of arguments to tough questions in philosophy. He is not biased like almost all other teachers I've had. Also, he is hilarious and his lectures never go the full time.
Good guy, interesting class. You do a simple paper that amounts to a couple page summary of an article from a list of articles and an easy presentation. Tells you exactly what is going to be on tests and outlines expectations very clearly.
He puts his powerpoints up for you to study. There is reading quizzes but they are two questions- just to see if you actually read. Pretty interesting class. Not difficult at all.
He makes the class entertaining even when lecturing. Loves debating back and forth to promote a good class discussion. Attendance is not mandatory and he posts all of the slides on canvas.
Very ambiguous class.
Ok class, ok teacher... He does a great job with the lectures, but not so much on feedback for homework and exams. Only emails I get from him are for the class, mostly about not cheating and doing your own work on the homework, nothing about how you did exactly on your homework or exams (just a number grade)
Awesome teacher, has an amazing voice.
This prof was phenomenal. He's such a dynamic lecturer; I was so excited for his teaching. He'll assign textbook or article reading with a 2 question reading quiz to follow the next class. There's no homework, 1 paper, and the majority of the grade is test-based. He gets feedback from his class on the pace, the material, when tests should be, etc.
Everything is pretty much on his slides, but pay attention to his examples he gives you during the lecture. Gives quizzes every class(2 questions T/F)
Koperski is cool. His voice makes lectures less horrible and he's pretty funny sometimes. About half of the lectures included a "pop quiz" on the reading, but it's two questions that you'll probably know if you so much as glanced at the reading. His tests are worded tricky and he makes you work for the presentation and essay grades. Not a bad prof
Awesome professor, but the class was not an easy A. Four exams worth 60% of your grade... Never got below an 85 on an exam and still almost ended with an A-. He lectures well, but I definitely enjoyed him more as a person than i actually enjoyed the class itself.
Koperski is great, his lectures are interesting and keep you listening. I took him online hyprid and it wasnt horrible. I enjoyed the class and the way it was taught. Read and listen to an audio lecture and answer a few question. 4 exams. Not an easy A but if you work for it it is possible.
One of the best courses I've ever taken.
There are four different exams throughout the course and one paper. All of the information you need for the exams are on the slideshows, so attendance to lectures aren't really necessary. Definitely was an interesting topic. You have to read a whole book before writing the paper and it's confusing but interesting overall.
Very Quick Responder even on the weekends, organizes online content well to follow along at your pace. Weighting in the class is not impossible to receive an A, but difficult then in other courses. Exams are tricky some wording your required to know the whole topic to catch the errors for points. Does not leave reasons for scoring unfortunately.
Content and lectures are pretty interesting. Sometimes it's unclear what you're supposed to read for the next class. He doesn't offer any feedback and doesn't give any idea what will be on the exams. Exams are pretty tricky and worth almost the entire grade. If you put in a lot of effort with studying you should be fine but you'll have to work hard
While your grade was mostly determined by the two major projects, they were not difficult at all and well done. Lectures were fun at times, although they were all online and prerecorded so we could refer back to them whenever we needed to. There is usually some reading accompanying each lecture but it's nothing difficult or time consuming. Fun!
Dr. Koperski was an amazing teacher who made sure that his students had enough resources for their tests. He is very strict on assignments but understands emergencies. To do well, study hard and finish your assignments on time. Overall, his lectures were amazing and very descriptive and told how the subject material ties into real life.
Doctor Koperski made lectures interesting. The topics you learn about in this course are explained very well by him as he gives many analogies and examples to better understand the criteria. Beware, you are only graded by the exams, and one paper that requires you to read a full book. Exams are very tricky and somewhat difficult.
Amazing professor, he teaches with such passion and is always open for questions.
One of the best professors you'll have at SVSU. The class was in a hybrid format so we would only meet for exams in person. He uploads great online lectures though. Clear grader but check the syllabus daily for due dates! Textbook necessary only at the beginning. Pick up Koperski for this class if he's available!
Favorite prof so far. Lectures are entertaining and engaging. High recommendation.
He is very well read and reduces the philosophical jargon to language anyone can understand. It is evident he is passionate about the subject
80% of my grade was made of exams but they wern't that difficult. As long as you listen to the lectures and study for the exams they are really easy. My advice for studying for exams is just to listen to the lectures over and over.Overall, super intelligent guy and has some funny stories to tell during the lectures. Would take again!
All in all, he simplified everything to a great extent. Knows his stuff. Very very unaccommodating. Expects you to come on class on time for the reading quiz for which there is no opportunity to retake. Passive aggressive grading scheme in paper topics which demonstrates his personality and rigidity. Can be a bit rude and inconsiderate sometimes.
This class was online and exams were in-person. You have to email him your homework, and you better not forget the deadline, no late work excepted. The lectures were good, and all videos were uploaded on Canvas. Put in the work and you'll pass, he also curves.
Engaging lectures with a clear system. Textbook is required but useful. Use unstuckstudy alongside other study tools to ace the exams. Overall, a rewarding class if you put in the work.
I think this professor is pretty alright. However, they do not use Canvas very well at all so taking this as a hybrid or online option is likely to be a chore compared to many other courses. Does not tell you what your actual grade is and loads individual assignment grades into a spreadsheet instead. Course grade is almost fully decided by exams.
As easy as this class may look, unless you have to take it for your major don't. His lecture videos range anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, he doesn't grade via canvas, doesn't post assignment due dates via canvas, and can be very vague in terms of communication. However, he does reply to emails often and is easy enough to reach.
