FAVORITE TEACHER AT MVCC!! Had never taken a soc class before and so glad I did! Young guy, hilarious, always making the class laugh. I would 110% recommend him to anyone taking sociology because he makes everything soo simple to understand. Weekly reading quizzes that are 5 questions online, 2 easy papers, & tests are easy. TAKE HIM!!!!!!

Very strict with deadlines. Always trying to have fun in class. Very funny. He compromises with the class.

I was always excited to go to this class. There was always a combination of learning as well as conversation going on in this class. It wasn't a stiff class where the teacher lectured and we listened. We were allowed to throw in our own ideas/thoughts or bring up issues we wanted to discuss. It made the class one big, informative conversation.

Perhaps the BEST teacher at MVCC. Easy class, very smart guy, and is quite hilarious. If I needed more sociology classes I would only take them if he taught them. A must-have teacher.

Took him for a three week summer class. The class was VERY fast paced but he made everything clear and detailed and most of all made it FUN! One of the best teachers I've had at Moraine :)

I did not like him. Got yelled at for having one notecard in my vocab pile that got mixed in from another class. But he does know his stuff give him props to that.

Doctor Jeffery is brilliant. He teaches class a very unique way, and really relates to his students. If you ask, he will do all he can to help you. His class was fantastic. The only negative are that his progress and inclass quizzes can be tough, and catch you off guard. He is also very strict on attendance. Other than that, he is fantastic.

If you're planning on taking Soc 101 at Moraine you'd be dumb to not take it with Jeffrey. He has a big heart and always made class at community college at 9am very bearable. His quirkiness made me laugh everyday and he gives points for easy assignments. Take this class!

AMAZING TEACHER. you can be absent only three times before you drop a letter grade and he will ask you to leave if you display your phone, BUT HE MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE TO FAIL. you have to be a incredibly lazy to fail. Everything is on blackboard and he drops 3 of your lowest quizzes out of 13 quizzes, 3 of your lowest lesson assessments and one test

Jeffrey is a best professor at Moraine. I don't usually register for the same professor because I like to experience different teaching methods. But I took 3 SOC classes with him & he is hilarious! I never get bored when attending his class because he loves telling jokes. I wish I'm able to take more classes with him. Take his class!

Jeff is an awesome!wants all of his student to pass. As long as you do your work, come to class and take notes you WILL pass with a B or higher. There was only one thing that i wasn't satisfied with and thats that he told the class to purchase the textbook that we literally didn't use once. My class was 2 hr and 40 min but he made it very enjoyable

I'm in my 3rd semester and he's been the best teacher I've had. He is very energetic during lectures and keeps the whole class interested. He was incredibly helpful during office hours. Quizzes and tests are taken online but are fairly easy. The tests are all multiple choice and he drops the lowest one. One of the best teachers I've ever had.

I just finished his 8 week class, he's a really good instructor. You don't need the book and everything is posted on blackboard. He has a great sense of humor. I highly recommend him !

Very easy. Show up to class, take notes and review them and you will do well. Exams are easy. Three easy papers. The "A" is handed to you, it's up to you if you take it or not. Whatever you do, do not waste your money on the textbook. He said that he's going to start teaching all his classes as hybrids though, so some people may not like that.

McCully is great! However the book we used in class "My New Gender Workbook" was one of the worst books I have ever had to read. The author of the book, Kate Bornstein, is in clear need of ADD medication; to make her thoughts more cohesive. McCully was incredible but the class material sucked.

The best teacher at MVCC! I love Jeffrey, he is always nice and ready to help you and answer any question you got! Take hm, if you want to have an A, and get a clear material from the subject!

Jeffrey is the best! He's incredibly organized and his lectures are very funny and to the point. He does pretty much everything on Blackboard, and we don't have a textbook. But make sure you show up to class so you don't miss anything. Also only assigns one paper all semester!

I loved this class & the previous 101 class I took with him. He is one of my favorite instructors, & this class is really an easy 'A'. There are pop quizzes after every lesson, but theyre easy, & not worth too many points. Blackboard is used for the class lesson assessments, & I think if you take this class it'll be hard to not want to take it!

Jeffrey is hands down one of the top 5 teachers I've had in college. The lectures are technically long but it doesn't feel that way. He cracks jokes the entire time and asks for class participation, which is always a great conversation. Prepare for goofy stories about his boyfriend, his dog, & "old dead white guys". I can't wait to take him again!

The best professor I have so far encountered at Moraine. Jeffrey an amazing person that will make you feel comfortable in class. He's also hilarious and keeps class fun. The material itself is very easy, and the class is an easy A as long as you put the effort in. I have over a 100% in the class.

All those people saying he pushes his liberal agenda need to get over themselves. He speaks openly about oppression in the world, and gets students to think about all the various issues that exist- it IS sociology course after all. If you don't want to hear racism and capitalism are bad then don't take the class.

You don't need your textbook if you take him, easy A just show up! He is very open in his discussions. I recommend him!:)

He's a great guy. Had him Fall semester 2016 for SOC-101 the accelerated 8 week course. Do the tasks on time. Read the material he provides on Canvas and you'll get a A. I agree he has some liberal views but pass over those and you'll see he's actually a great person.

Professor McCully is one of the greatest, nicest professors at MVCC, he's really funny, nice, well-respected professor, and very helpful outside class, his class was an easy A, and I would definitely recommend him, looking forward for his next class.

One of the best teachers I've had at Moraine, opened my eyes to so many new things with his lectures and influenced my thinking outside of class as well. The coursework is easy and clear, as long as you put in minimal effort you will pass the class. Only 3 exams, very easy papers, great lectures, easy homework, you can't go wrong with Jeffrey.

I am taking the online summer class with Jeffery. The class is a lot of work in short time, but it's online, so not so bad. There is no textbook, but there are other books. They're... different. Jeffery responds right away to email. Tests are done on campus testing center but you get a week to do them.

Took his online sex and gender class. You actually read the 2 textbooks THOROUGHLY. My Gender Workbook and Borderlands: La Frontera. Weekly online quizzes, some discussion boards, and a group online project!! Easy A if you study.

Jeffery is my most favorite teacher in this God forsaken place. He has long lectures , but it's a joy to go to. Quite a few group projects, but it's so easy a 10 year old could pass it. Very funny and sexy as heck. Good soc101 material and although the book was boring, he can only do so much to make that class fun. He awesome, I highly recommend.

Jeffrey was awesome. He only requires two books that are less than $10 each. All his lectures are online. Its an easy class overall. Hes pretty chill as well. Allows some absences and is a fair grader. Rarely any homework and if there is, its easy.

Jeffrey, was by far the funniest professor I have had. He did require a lot of assignments but he offered a lot of help. So basically, If you did not get an A in his class it's your own fault. Offers extra credit and drops 3 lowest assignments and lowest exam. If you do well on the first two exams, you don't have to take the final. Will miss him!

Jeffery is a very straight to the point kind of guy. What he puts on portal is what is going to be on the test. Show up to class on time! He is very strict about that but all in all he is a great teacher who knows what he's talking about.

MCculley is one of the best teachers at Moraine. His grading is confusing, but very fair. Just do the work and you will get a good grade. He saves you the money of buying a book and puts everything you need online. He doesn't teach you anything that you won't need for the test.

He is one of my favorite professors ever. He is super sweet and hilarious, very optimistic and makes morning classes something to look forward to. Just make sure to get to class on time because he will mark you late if you show up a minute after class starts. Other than that, he grades easily on assignments. His class discussions are always fun.

One of the best professors at moraine valley. I took they're accelerated class so the classes were longer but they made it so bearable and time went by fast. Very funny throughout the lecture. If you do what you are asked you'll should end up with the grade you want.

I liked the class. Quick turnaround on grades for papers and tests. Funny jokes. The course adds up to 100 points, so its easy to know how the grade works. Group project was meh.

Jeffreys is very hilarious. He talks through most the class time but he makes it entertaining. You have to do all the readings yourself but there not long or boring. If you get offended easily don't take him otherwise he's awesome.

Jeffrey was a very funny and respectable professor. They allowed the lowest test grade to be dropped, including the final. There are "pop quizzes" but they usually remind you in advance, or hint at them. The class is based out of only 100 points which is the real only downfall. Do your work on time and you'll get an A!

Definitely my favorite prof. @MV. The class is simple- do the work and you get the grade. If you expect to fly by with no effort do Jeffrey a favor and avoid the class. I looked forward to class every week because of professor McCully and if I could take all my classes with them I would. Come in with an open mind and be prepared to earn your grade.

I had to take COL 101 but Professor Jeffrey made it so worth it!!! Theyre such a great professor and honestly they made the class an easy A, as long as you show up & do your work, you pass. Its that simple

He's a really chill teacher. He doesn't do tests or real homework in the class, you just have to participate in discussion posts and the occasional project. He likes to make jokes which to some are funny and to others can come off as offensive. He teaches well, making sure we understand the concepts and gives real world examples to relate.

Prof. Muccully was such a great teacher, he made the class super easy to the point where you dont have to go to the class to do the work. All the material you will learn for the year you can submit earl and not even show up hes a great teacher and makes the class fun. Doesnt give out test the only homework you will have is the projects thats it.

Mr. McCully is very caring when it comes to student's mental health. No exams. Friendly feedback, super easy assignments. Projects instead of a writing paper or exam that are so easy to complete. only a 1% reduction for missing assignments. He is awesome and made this semester stress free. I am so grateful to have him as my teacher. :)

Course is set up very straight forward and with every opportunity to get ahead in the coursework. Responds to emails and questions with thorough explanation and within an appropriate time. Mostly fair grading, does require hard work but does not overwork a student. Chances for extra credit, redo-ing assignments and late work (-1% Each day late).

Jeffrey was most likely one of the best professors I ever had. His online course is an absolute must! He provides us with complete creative freedom. There are no tests or quizzes, only projects over which we have complete creative control. If you follow the project instructions and guidelines, you will receive an A.

I had Jeffrey for Sociology 101 and best teacher I have had. He has the best lectures which makes it like im talking to a friend not a teacher. He does put his views out there but still is very respectful. Grading is super easy just follow his grading rubric and its a easy A. Attendance is NOT mandatory, acknowledges every students voice.

I love Jeffrey, literally one of my favorite professors. I'm currently trying to get into all of the classes that Jeffrey teaches. The classes that he teaches are an easy A, Jeffrey wants you to get an A in the class and if you ask for help Jeffrey will gladly help. Trust me on this one take his class you won't regret it.

I really enjoyed this teacher, and have taken two classes with them now. They have a well-structured curriculum, use a free textbook, and have no exams, just 3 group and solo projects. The group projects are graded individually, so you don't have to worry about others not carrying their weight. They always respond promptly to questions. Thumbs up

I took SOC 101 as an online class and in the beginning, Jeffrey had a set of rules that were easy to follow. You had 3 group projects, one solo project, and smaller assignments throughout the semester that were fairly easy. If you communicate with him, he will help you.

Easy professor, the class is based off of group/solo projects. you have no exams, and all the discussion board posts are really for participation and questions about if you understand the criteria of the projects given to you.

I took sociology 101 in the summer and Dr. McCully was an awesome teacher. Dr. McCully is not a tough grader mccully is a very straightforward teacher and provides students with a clear rubric of what is expected. I don't know why the reviews are so negative just follow directions as per usual in any class and you will do great.

seriously the best professor i've had, jeffrey wants their students to succeed! dr mccully is super straightforward and is there to help. lectures are never boring, always a few jokes thrown in there. attendance isnt mandatory, if you have an emergency you don't need to rush to email. i've never been this relaxed/confident with a class before :)

I took Soc 101 with Jeffrey back in 2017 and he was one of my instructors that I will never forget. He has instilled confidence in myself as a student and this has followed me throughout my educational career. Despite going onto my second doctorate degree in medicine, a totally different field of knowledge, he's definitely one of my best mentors.

I fell quite behind in the class but luckily passed with a decent grade due to Professor McCully's late work policy. Professor McCully created their own textbook for the course which makes quizzes and tests very fair. Also, they were able to provide a unique perspective to the course which I enjoyed hearing. I wish I took their class in person.

Class is so easy. Assignments take you like 10 min max - 1 or 2 assignments per week. The final is an essay. Don't stress about it because he graded mine within a minute of me submitting it- literally. Just make sure you meet all of the requirements and you'll get 100% Don't forget headings!!

Jeffrey is very passionate about ANT. You learn a lot with this teacher. I disagree with the people saying Jeffrey teaches their opinion and not facts. In this class Jeffrey goes over how ANT has harmed people which includes racism, misogyny, homophobia, lack of consent, etc. Jeffrey dives deep with the info they teach. Highly recommend Jeffrey!
