He is a very very good professor. He cares alot about his students. I have taken many classes with him and he has always been very respectful to all his studetns. Too bad he has a girlfriend otherwise I would date him. I think he is hot.

I took this class at Kendall and it was so hard for me but then someone told me to take it with Miranda and it was a 360 degree better. I enjoyed his class and he made it easier for us. He knows the stuff well, now i am going to take Calculus with him. He teaches all levels.

I definately recommend taking Business Calculus with Professor Miranda. He's very helpful and pretty clear. He will go over things until everyone understands. The amount of homework is very reasonable and really helps you out. I'm bad at math and managed to get an A.

I took all my math Classes (3)with him. If you dont understand something he will stop the whole class and help explain it to you. You just have to ask. Best part is: HE SPEAKS ENGLISH! (Rare in Miami)

Guaranteed A! if... you do your homework, and go to class every day even tho is not mandatory. Extra credit in the exams. Some exam questios are directly from the book, homework is extra credit!! there is no way you cant get an A with this professor! Let me tell you about this guy: He is the best teacher I have ever had. I drive from Miami to Homestead and it is all worth it! He is fair, teaches clear, funny, sarcastic at times, a fun class over all. However, if you don't do HW, you have no chance. He assigns writing assignments on Math job related topics.

I drove from Kendall to take this class and I am glad I did. Miranda was worth the trip. There were some students that did not like him becuase he does not give multiple choice exams. I prefer to have someone to give me feedback when I make mistakes, can't do that when exams are multiple choice. I am taking him for Calculus one. I recommend him!

I finally understand factoring. This was my 3rd time taking Mat1033 and I finally understand what I needed to do in order to do MAC1105. If you struggle with math, this is the teacher for you. This is NOT an easy class but he makes things very clear and easy to understand, and if you put forth the effort and ask questions he will not let you fail. He once stayed after class for 30 minutes until I understood the lesson. Can't thank him enough, awesome guy.

i took intermediate algebra fast track. he is such an amazing professor. you do your homework and you get extra points on the test so I got a 4.0 in class! highly recommend him but DO YOUR HOMEWORK. it helps you understand it and you get more points!!

Great Professor, took 6 weeks mini term, 4 test, hw optional but 5 addt pts on test if you do do it. Tests are 10 questions, pretty easy if you pay attention and do the hw.

I loved this class, this was my first class ever taken at MDC and it was a great experience. He grades the homework the day of the tests and gives 5 extra points on each exam if you have the hw. This has saved me so many times.

Calculus 2 is a very hard class, so don't let anyone's ratings make you think that the class is going to be easy. I'm great at math, and this is probably the hardest class I've ever taken. Professor Miranda makes you work for your grade, but he's an awesome teacher. Highly recommended!

I took him for the Blended Express Mat1033 and Mac1105 in one semester. He is the best professor ever. You do have to put effort in it, everything is done through Aleks, he gives extra points if you finish the assignment before the test, also gives pratice tests that you can take as many times as you want before the test. Will take again for STA.

This is the first math class I've taken virtually and also the first I got an A in. He is very understanding. You MUST study in order to pass the quizzes and exams. He gives you reviews and I suggest you do them, multiple times even. His powerpoints are also very easy to understand. Math is my weak point but I passed with flying colors.

Prof. Miranda was great! all the homeworks are an extra 5 points on the test so they are really extra credit not mandatory. He is very clear and can sometimes crack a joke here and there. every test has 10 questions and you have to work out all the steps in order to receive full points.

I took MAC1105 which was partially online and he was super flexible with attendance and completing the class early. (I did a 6 week summer class in 3 weeks thanks to him). He is really chill and a very nice guy, I highly recommend him.

Prof Miranda is there for you. I took online and passed with a B. Total was 88% so I was close to an A if I tried harder. Reviews and homework really prepare you for the exams so do them!!

I must say that Dr. Miranda is by far the most helpful professor I have had at MDC. I liked the class and he is always there to help you. Looking forward in taking more classes with him.

Professor miranda is amazing on teaching college algebra, I always was so bad in math but with his help and going to the STEM lap after school to practice I got my first A ever in math, I'm not gonna lie but math is about practice and dedication will be the only way to pass this course.

Do your homework, use the practice tests and you WILL get a good grade in this class. Yes, the homework is tedious but isn't mandatory (only 5-10% of total grade). It helps you understand the material much better. Practice tests are like mirror images of the test just switched up numbers, DO THEM! You can always contact him at any time he's great.

He monitors your progress online and offer his assistance when he sees that you are struggling on a topic. He also give you the opportunity to take the tests before their due date if you want. I finished the course in less than 7 weeks! I would take another class with him if I have the chance!!

This class is blended, half in class half online at home. Math has always come easy to me so teaching myself online is a breeze but if you need a lot of one on one with a professor then his class isn't for you. All he has the students do is sit on the computers and work the same as if at home. 4 modules, 4 tests and 4 pre tests to use to study.

Dr. Miranda was always there for me. I needed lots of review but with his help, ALEKS and the tutor at the lab I passed! I am looking forward in taking Mac1105 with him too this summer. He is a cool guy but you still need to put in the work, hey after all this is college! Not HS.

Prof. Miranda's virtual class was the best decision ever! You have a 2 week free trial for connect math which you can finish within that time frame otherwise you'll have to pay $80 for the access code. Midterms were (30%) and final (40%) which you MUST pass with a 60%+ . Very easy to get an A or B if you are dedicated and study. He is there to help

This class was very easy. The class is once a week and is done online through ALEKS. There is 5 modules and 5 test throughout the semester. He allows you to use your notes for the test and if you finish the module on time you get extra points. Overall easy A just get your work done.

Even though he wasn't available on campus i decided to take his class online along with other students we formed a group chat were we shared notes the class was overall easy his practice test are exactly like the real test just different numbers. you won't regret taking him so glad i finished all my math courses.

I took mac1105 back in 2018 but drop the class twice after failing my first exam. I knew i couldn't fight around taking mac1105 but decided to try it online. the best thing i did proctorU really doesn't eyeball you down you have time to write your steps and answer them within 90mins multiple choose less than 20 question this was an Easy A for me

I took Mac1105 In Spring 2019 the best decision i ever made online classes are better than in person. For this class he only ask to purchase aleks to do the math homework which was $90 there is a mid term and final you can take it on campus or proctorU my advise proctorU is much better they don't watch you at all. This was an Effortless A for me !

This class is pretty straightforward. There is a lot of homework via Connect Math, but it is honestly where you really learn the material. You must score at least 60% on the midterm & final (proctored). Each exam is worth 30% of your grade.

I am not a math person so I was very iffy about taking this class, especially in the summer. When I walked into his class and heard his lecture, I felt like a huge weight was lifted off my shoulder. He clarifies the requirements needed for the class, he is very communicable, and willing to help with any issues or questions.

Can't get over how blessed I was to have him as my Professor. The kindest, it's truly unbelievable. I appreciate all the extreme second chances he gave me!!! The content is easy without a doubt and if there's a doubt you have help/options. midterm and final but it's not bad. ELITE professor though. side note: I took his class virtually.

Took him online. Plenty of homework, 4 quizzes, 4 tests, 4 discussions and plenty of time to complete each one. Both the midterm and the final are proctored and worth 30%. I'm not a math person, but you will appreciate this professor. He does hold the class to high standard but if you do the work, YOU. WILL. PASS! I would definitely seek him again.

I absolutely love this professor, im not a math person at all and i took him online but he posts videos and its so easy to understand, also the homework help you understand well too. He is very caring and you can tell that he genuinely cares for his students, you get very few professors like him in a 4 year degree. I am very grateful for him.

Loved this class and professor. Gave us the whole 6 week summer semester to write one 15 page paper. Super easy A just dont procrastinate and take the paper serious. He also gives great advice and feedback. The paper was based around real life finances and prepares you for the real world!

Although I took this class online Dr. Miranda was amazing via email. I'm easily confused by math so when I'd have a problem I'd email him and he'd send back a step by step solution which was great. 4 non-proctored tests, proctored midterm & final, and a lot of HW. His study guides for midterm and final are VERY similar to the actual tests.

Took him Fall 2020. Genuinely a good person who wants to help you pass, but you'll have to work for it. Used respondus lockdown for online testing. Was 100% tests, homework was only for 5pts of extra credits.

A great class with a caring professor. I took it all online and preferred it over in-person teaching. Depending on your skill level be ready to put a lot of hours into learning the course through Aleks. Only had 1 class a week which wasn't enough for me so I basically taught myself and used the class as a refresher. 5 tests, no retakes!

Amazing professor! The class consistes in a 15 pages (minimum) research paper about your life plan after college and a 5 minutes video presentation explaining your paper. Very recommended if you dont like math because you dont need to solve any problem. Very interesting and helpful topics. Yet, it is a very easy class to procrastinate, be careful

Prof. Miranda was very straight forward. Expectations and opportunities for extra credit outlined from day one. Class was blended (lectures online via blackboard/ exam on campus). The ALEK software really helped to drill in the topics.

Hands down the BEST math professor @ MDC. I took MAC1105 on MDC Live, and MAC1147 online w/ prof Miranda & received A's in both classes. He truly cares about his students, responds to emails quickly, gives you ample time to complete assignments, & very fair w/ the amount of workload. His classes aren't traumatizing as long as you do the HW & study.

I was happy to have Professor Miranda for this course. Understanding the algebra concepts takes a lot of work so if you work through each Unit and work hard you will do well. He was so responsive to any question no matter how easy or difficult and responded very quickly. The course is in Canvas so very easy to navigate. Highly recommend.

Hes such a great guy, truly cares about his students. I missed a few deadlines but i explained my situation and he helped me a TON. Awesome teacher overall. If you need help, dont hesitate to reach out, hell be there for you. The class itself is fairly easy too, basic algebra with a few new concepts, at least for me. :)

Pretty good Professor, always there to answer and help you if needed. There is about 6 Homework's but they have a lot of questions which is easy to manage he does give you time, Midterm and Final Proctored but if you stay on top of yourself it is very easy to pass the class.

He is very nice and whenever you need help is always there no matter what but .. he only really grades quiz not the assignment even though the assignment is like 30 lesson and you have to do it in like 2 weeks the you have to get 90s on the assignment or he drops you ..

Professor Miranda runs a rigorous MAC1105 class, with a focus on tests and homework. While challenging, his teaching style is structured and he provides helpful resources. Unstuck ai proved a useful study aid alongside the textbook. If you're ready to put in the work, this class can be manageable.

He's the perfect online professor. He responds quickly to your messages, as long as it is from Monday - Friday of course. He consistently reminds students when deadlines are due. The course work can be difficult, but there are a lot of tools available to be able to help you learn it as long as you don't procrastinate until last minute.
