Excellent excellent teacher. Really good course, I learned a lot, even considered majoring in psych. He says on the first day that his class will be one of the best ones you ever take, and he's right! Tests are all multiple choice.

He was awesome for social psych, funny and friendly but this semester he isn't as nice, he's gotten to be a much harder grader, and isn't as friendly. He does make stats seem very easy though as long as u show up and do all the work.

Easy statistics class. He takes everything really slow (a little too slow if you've taken Stats before). But slow is def. better than too fast...he is funny too, makes the class honestly laugh

If you have to take stats - take him! HE teaches it very clearly and slowly so that you understand and get a good grade!!

If you pay attention to the concepts and not the labels of them...then it is a very easy class. He has a great sense of humor and boyish good looks, which makes attending his class a pleasure and not a task.

I had Nichols for a few classes. He is tough with his tests, but he is very helpful in class. He knows what he is talking about and makes the class go by fast with lots of explanations and examples. His classes are interesting. Hard tests

Tough Tests, BEWARE, with this class comes great amounts of studying and effort, although you are not required to go to class, YOU SHOULD I want to be a teacher and I found this class very helpful, he's a really nice guy too just make sure you can put in the effort. Study hard he makes his own exams

Nice guy, and a subject like stats which most people dred he makes very clear. The one draw back though is he doesn't give 100s. On the Mid-Term I got everything right, and got a 95/100. I asked what I got wrong and he said "nothing, I don't give hundreds, U don't know everything" Thats BS right?

i dreaded taking this class, but he explained everything and actually cared that we understood. i can actually say that i understand statistics

Great professor - one of the best I have had. He is funny and easy going. He makes sure you understand the material and provides practice problems that REALLY help if you do them. I know Stats can be intimidating but once you sit in Dr. Nick's class you will see that Stats can be fun. Take him for this class...you will be glad you did!

This guy is a teacher first before anything else. Some have the degree and assume they can teach. Not the case w/Dr. Nick. DO NOT take Stats. with anyone other than him, especially if you have mathophobia. I hate math, but actually enjoyed doing stats! Love this guy! I'm looking forward to taking as many classes with him as I can!

He is an amazing professor! This was my second time taking stats and i didn't understand at all before, but with him i understand it completely. If you're terrified of taking stats take it with him. Its worth it! Its amazing. I def. recommend him!

Strictly by the book.I got an 89.7 average and received a B+. This was an online course, he was very reachable throughout the course. Great teacher and very helpful and understanding. Willing to help if you are putting the work into the class. I have taken 4 classes with him. Highly recommended.

Very difficult grader; pretty much doesn't give A's. Incredibly knowledgeable and willing to help, gives good examples and summaries. Points out the important points so as long as you pay attention you'll be fine.

Great professor! The class seems intimidating the first day, but stick with it! It's not as hard as he makes it seem. Just a midterm and a final attitude paper. No book, so he does take attendance everyday, but its a good class to go to, he makes it interesting. If you're a serious psych major def take it!

Nicholas is the "Gold Standard" for what a college professor should be. Never in my college career have I actually wanted class to CONTINUE at the bell. He is a busy guy and a HARD grader, but he is generous and quite the comedian. He is able to take very abstract concepts and relate them to everyday events. This course is a "must take" at BSC.

His lectures are great except he only explains 50% of what is on the tests, so u definitely need to study the text for a good grade. Funny, likeable guy.

I love him! What a great professor. I had him for an online class as well as a regular course and he was amazing. If you read the chapters and do the study guide its really an easy A. He constantly is sending reminders via email for what is due and offers easy tutorials that amount to an exam grade. If I could I would take him again in a heartbeat.

Great guy..Go to class and take notes. Also his tests seem to be half lecture half book so do what he tells you to do and you will be good.

Did the 5 week summer course and it was fairly demanding. There are 10 Mandatory Exams with 20 questions but only cover one chapter. They are very detailed though and require your understanding, and application of the subject. Voluntary assignments can be done to earn more points. Overall I learned a lot and would recommend him.

Awesome teacher! Practice problems assigned every night for homework at your own discretion, however, it is best if you do them because you will have trouble with the exams otherwise. He is a nice guy who knows how to keep his class entertained and involved at 8AM. Would take him again!

Make life easy on yourself and take him for Stats...He is funny and really wants everyone to succeed, makes the material easy to understand and I suck at math! Grade is based on 3 tests, practice problems nightly and attendance, as he says if you follow his prescription you will do well in his class! TAKE HIM!!

Second time ive taken a class with him! He is a seriously awesome professor and really knows how to make learning easy for his students. Final grades are based on 2 lab reports, a midterm and attendance.... not hard to accomplish with this professor!

Excelent teacher. This class is a lot of work. But, if you do the work you will learn satistics. I thought my chances in this class were low of passing. Now this is my favorite class I look forward to it. He assigns homework every night, but it is the key to success. This is the way to learn statistics. You will learn it.

Dr Nicholas is very nice and helpful. There isn't alot of work giving each class, but a major lab report due at the end of the semester, and of course the midterm and final. The key to the class is to learn how to do a lab report, and to go over some statistics again. He makes sure students understand everything,I would definately take him again!

I have never been a math person and I was afraid of this class. He is so a good stats teacher it was like magic watching him. Homework every single night and Tests were all cumulative, but I truley learned the matierail. Amazing expereince.

Awesome professor. Really engages you in his lectures; they're all PowerPoint and yet they're all really interesting. Great examples and the textbook is really helpful. Do the work and you'll get the grade you want, like any other class. Very enjoyable and very helpful.

Took him for an online summer class. Total of 2 chapters to study each week along with 2 exams. No papers, No HW, No forums. Do the reading and you'll do ok. Well worth it.

There was something about his personality that didn't click with me. I also didn't like his grading methods; as a math professor, he assigned what he thought you should get rather than what your numerical grade actually would be on the test. Nevertheless, I say take him- you'll use calculators, & you'll learn no prob!

Take him for stats! Don't let the fact that the grade is 100% tests scare you away. Very fair grader. Shows you shortcuts with the TI 30 calculator that make life much easier. Took this class with Dr. Morse & got a D, took Dr. Nicholas and got a B+. Dr. Nicholas is crystal clear and does not teach unnecessary material like Morse just what you need.

Took his web hybrid but we met once a week so only 14 classes. SO SIMPLE! All you have to do is read the chapter and take a quiz each week quiz is graded on complete/incomplete instead of score so all you have to do is take it and you get a perfect score There were 2 multiple choice exams that were tricky but fair if you study. Take him, he's great

I took his graduate level Personnel Selection and Placement class at Salem State. The class was a good learning experience, especially through the group project he had us work on. He has a true concern that the students are learning and made himself available after class. I also appreciated the thoroughness of his feedback on submitted work.

I really enjoyed this class. It was a little difficult because it was only one day a week but overall I feel like he was the perfect person to teach this class. You can tell that he really enjoys his job and he is always willing to help.

He's a really funny guy and a great teacher. I think most research methods classes make you do a big project/paper/presentation but all we had to do was a few easy hw assignments and a midterm and a final. Easy to get a good grade too

I learned so much in this class! The professor doesn't actually give much instruction, you read about thirty pages a week and then take a short quiz. The book was so clear and interesting though I probably would have continued reading it without the quizzes, definitely recommend taking Drugs and Human Behavior with him if you get the chance!

Fantastic Professor, I absolutely love his lectures. He is very helpful and grades are more than fair. He gives you an extra credits for only participating in research, which you have to participate anyway to get this course complete. You will enjoy classes itself. His sense of humor is absolutely awesome! Take the class, you’ll not regret it.

Definitely recommend this class online if you have a busy schedule. I work full-time and Psychology is not my major, but I needed more credits. Online you are only required to take 13 exams and he drops the lowest quiz grade. There also isn't a final. Very straightforward professor. Highly recommend!

the class was alright, sometimes very boring. I had him for an inter web, like half online class . I wish that he gave better examples so that the tests would be more understandable. It's an olay class if you just need to credits but if you actually want to learn about psych then I wouldn't recomend him.

Great class. He has his own method of teaching the class and it really works! I would definitely take more classes with him. Interacts with students, really wants you to learn and helps as much as he can. Seriously don't bother taking stats with ANYONE ELSE. Nicholas makes stats easy to understand. Always makes sure everyone knows what's going on before moving on. Only THREE tests all semester, SO DO GOOD. Assigns one practice problem every day for homework.

I took Online Drugs and Behavior with him. So easy. If you need an easy A with extremely little work effort, take this class. 1 online 25 multiple choice exam a week. Thats it (Exams are not timed either). If you want to thoroughly learn about this subject (it is really interesting) I would probably see if he offered it in class instead of online.

I HIGHLY recommend this professor! I was insanely nervous going into a STATS class considering I don't pick up on math very easily, but Nicholas makes the class so uplifting and fun and very easy to understand! his gives all the right resources and genuinely wants his students to learn and know the material. he makes it easy to pass!

Professor Nicholas is one of the best professor at BSU! He's extremely helpful and will go out of his way to make sure that you understand the material. No surprises on the exams, straight from the class material and he does a great review session before each exam.

Dr. Nicholas was by far one of the easiest and most straight forward online classes I've ever had. I took his class over the summer, 2 tests a week for 5 weeks. Most of the questions are online via Quizlet and some you do need to look for in the textbook. All in all, great class, would definitely recommend.

This class was very straight forward! 2 tests a week for 5 weeks, extremely easy and answers can be found on quizlet! This was a great course, I would take it again! I would recommend Dr. Nicholas for psychology courses. So good I'm taking him for PSYC310!!

Really a great guy. Entertaining to listen to and makes ideas easy to understand. Just make sure you take good notes in class, as they'll come in handy later. I look forward to possibly taking a class with him again!

Professor Nicholas gives three cumulative exams and those three things plus participation are the only things you are graded on. However, his teaching style and use of practice exams make this usually difficult class an easy one. He teaches his students well and respects every one of them.

Honestly, probably the best professor I've ever had. BUT he's a tough grader so it's really important that you check your work because one mistake could cost you an A. Awesome guy, funny and understanding of the fact that Math is hard. Follow his "prescription" and you'll do fine!

I took this professor for Drugs & Human Beh. & Stats. One of the best professors at BSU & is super funny, but is not a pushover so give him the respect he deserves. His packets made homework likable (never thought I'd say that during my College experience, but he'll convince you to push yourself to be your best).

One practice problem per day is his key to success and it works. That's the only homework, then theres a few tests and attendance. He's a great professor, and if you do the practice problems like he asks you're almost guaranteed to do great. He made stats understandable

I took this class over the summer. So there were two tests per week for five weeks. Those are the only assignments over the semester. Im not the best at testing. Overall easy class

DON'T take him if u slack when u have freedom. Only 3 things graded which are just exams. No zooms, no homework. He posts vids, learning guides & practice problems each week that are NOT required or graded so if u fall behind & wing the test u will regret it. Great professor for ppl who can manage their time and do the work if thats u take him.

I hated this guy in into but I understood stats because of him. Hes challenging but brilliant, not that I would tell him to his face because he has a bit of an ego. If your bad at math and willing to work he will work with you to make sure you understand. Really great guy and really glad I took his class

This class does have a lot of online exams that you have a week to take, which are very easily completed if you keep up with chapter readings. Course is extremely well organized and professor has amazing communication for an online course. Definitely take him. It's only the middle of the semester for me and I had to leave a great review!!

Professor Nicholas is a great professor for statistics. I was terrible at stats in high school, but Ive done well in his class so far! You are only graded on 3 exams during the semester, but if you study and do all the practice problems you will pass.

I highly recommend Dr. Nicholas. He has clear instructions on doing well. Keep up the the practice problems, make sure you listen to his lectures and you will do well. He is very good at responding to questions, knowledgeable and teaches the subject matter very well.

Professor Nicholas is the best professor! His method for teaching, communicating, preparing material for the class surpasses any other professor I have taken. He understands how to teach, really teach which sounds ridiculous but not many do. My only complaint is I wish he taught more classes. A real asset to the University.

I normally hate any kind of math class, but I really enjoyed Professor Nicholas' Stats for Psychology class. He really made the subject matter easy to understand, and went over steps as much as we needed. The overall grade was made up of three exams, so that means STUDY!! Failing his class just means you probably aren't doing any work.

EASY class because he goes super slow. Homework is "mandatory" but isn't really because he never looks at it or talks about it. Ever so slightly arrogant , but it is what it is. I would take another class with him again.

Dr. Nicholas is an awesome professor who really wants his students to succeed! I have take psych stats, research methods 2, drugs and human behavior, and industrial/organizational psych with him and received an A. If you come to class, read the book, and do the work, you're going to do well in his class.

If you're going to take this class, I highly suggest this professor. I had failed this class last year with a whopping 42... decided a 5 week summer class was the way to go! Nervous and ready to try again, professor Nicholas was amazing with his YouTube videos and homework practice problems are KEY to learning and mastering each weeks work!

Im not really a math person so I don't really enjoy it that much but Professor Nicholas definitely made me enjoy it a lot more. He gives at home practice problems for you to do at home and those are super helpful in succeeding in the class. I definitely would take him again as a professor if he is offered!

I took Stats with Professor Nicholas. He explains the material in a wonderful way. I was SO SCARED of this class but he made it so much easier. You have to do the homework and you have to study, but he provides all the tools you need to do well. You need to be willing to learn & listen, & if you are- you WILL do well. This was a hybrid course. All of the material was learned at home via video lectures, and we would come to class so he could see how we are doing with the content. Math comes very easy to me, so this was not a challenge. However, I can imagine this type of teaching may be difficult for some.

I am terrible at math but he made class very easy and understandable. He had many resources in and outside class. He didn't require much and didn't give homework. Definitely take his class.

Very easy class, consisted of a weekly exam and a chapter of the textbook, and if needed a YouTube video to follow. As long as you read and prepare for the exams it is an easy class. There was no final exam and there was a total of 25 q's on each exam. I would take him again if needed in the future!

Prof Nicholas is a great teacher! He truly wants students to succeed and actually understand the content of his course. He is the only teacher who taught how to actually use the functions on a calculator. There are only three exams for the whole course and this makes up your whole grade. Do the practice tests, show up, and you will be fine!

Professor Nicholas has a clear teaching style that takes some getting used to, but if you put in the work with the practice problems and study aids like Unstuck AI, you'll learn a lot. Not the easiest class, but manageable if you engage with the material.

By far the best math teacher I have ever had. I hate math & struggle with this subject. This professor will go over everything step-by-step, practice problems & calculator. The practice tests are just like the real ones. No homework! He will actually help you & is very caring.

This class is really difficult, but he made it so much more attainable. You HAVE to do the practice problems, study, and get help, and you will pass! He is so calm and you can tell he is very intelligent. No questions were ever stupid in his class.

Only graded by 3 exams and nothing else. He expects you to be responsible for the course content and if you aren't, you won't do well. His course layout is exemplary and if you match that commitment with your own effort, you'll be fine.

I have never been good at math but did very good in this class. Only graded on 3 exams but he does lots to help prepare I recommend going to class because his lectures are very informative. He has practice problems on blackboard that aren't graded but are very helpful. The calculator is a necessity! He is awesome and awesome for this specific class
