I loved Mr. Olma's class. He is very helpful and easy to understand. He's been one of my favorite teachers so far!

I have taken Olma for ENC 1101, 1102, & Creativity 1. He's an awesome teacher. You couldn't ask for better. Be prepared to hear him repeat himself and talk a lot. He likes to put his students in groups for activities. I got A's in all of his courses.

Olma's awesome.Demanding assignments,but all you have to do is spend the time on them.He give you plenty of time to prepare and grades fairly. I got an A. He's very creative and a really fun teacher, take him if you have the chance!

Genius or Madman, whatever he is makes him a great professor.

The only way this professor would get a bad rating is because the student got a bad grade. It is very hard to get a bad grade in his classes. He lets you basically pick your own grade. This man is a genius! His teaching style is incredible. I hope I become a teacher like him someday!

Mr. Olma is a fine example of what a college professor should aspire to be. His goal from Day 1 was to ensure each and every student success in his class. I learned so much from him and would love to partake in more classes that he teaches.

Very good prof. Willing to help you and meet if you aren't getting it. I took it as an 8-week course so it was really condensed (paper due each week). Overall a really great teacher, just go to each class, do what he asks and you will not only pass, but you will learn how to be a good writer.

He is so nice, i really truely can say that he is one of the few teachers that actually care about his students, what they learn and that they succeed in school and life. Excellent teacher, and very helpful (if your papers are late, he doesn't take off). His Lit class is easily followed by the syllabus, but his Creativity class is a free-for-all and alot of busy work that's irrelevant is assigned. His Lit class is fun though, so definitely take that! B/C students will do well, and A students will likely make a 100.

Prof. Olma is a prof. worth taking, just because of this course. He makes every moment of the class enjoyable. you learn alot about your own creativity in this course. I enjoyed the class trip to Sally industries, corp. They design and build theme park animatronics (ex: Pirates of the Caribean. We were able to see creativity in the real world.

wow allteachers should be like him! because of olma im now going to school to be a teacher...he has changed my view of teaching,i would love to have the effect hes had on me for others. you can miss a lot of class and still make an A for all you surfers out there :) just write your papers and your golden. you will have fun in this class!!!!!

He gives you a prep for the final that makes you feel like you know the material if you paid attention in class, then during the final you realize that most of the questions have never been covered, and the ones that have were covered with elementary examples, yet the questions on the final are on the complex side. expect a B-/C

Great teacher. There's about 5 essays you write,a final exam and a portfolio. Stickler on attendence and you must turn in everything in order to pass. Easy though I got a B.

Prof. Olma is a wonderful teacher with a very good personality. He will make sure you understand the class assignments fully and he gives ample time to complete them. He is a wonderful teacher and sometimes he has special guest visit the room so be prepared. If you don't like to read take Pror. Olma he will change your mind. Excellent Class.

Professor Olma is a fair man with great spirit.I could tell that he wanted me to interact and enjoy his class.The first paper is basically a test of your capability.He will push you if he knows you can do better, but is more than willing to help you improve your writing.5 essays, slight class work that's fun, and a test.He goes over everything!

I took Mr. Olma for ENC 1101, ENC 1102, and LIT 2000 because he is a great teacher. He is very understanding and he teaches you on common sense level. Alot of fun group activities.

Prof. Olma has become somewhat of a mentor for me during my time at F.C.C.J. His English classes are fun and engaging, but if you take him for just one class make it creativity! this class changes the way you tackle problems and has been the most useful class I have ever taken. best elective ever! olma is incredible!!! i love to write and he made it my world! this class is super easy if you just do what he asks!!! take him and take the shorter class length like 12 weeks!!! i took the class at 630am just because i wanted him and i DID NOT regret it!

I loved this class. We had alot of class discussion. He is a flexible with any problems you may have. I wish I could take more classes by him. YOU WILL LOVE THIS CLASS if you have a half of a brain.

this profesor is easily one of the best in the state. he is very clear on what he wants, and will help at all costs. five short essays and a joke of a final. I missed 2 weeks of class in his 8 week course and he still helped me to pass the course. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Prof. Olma was a really good teacher. We only had 4 essays and didn't really have any homework. We didn't use the text book at all. He is hilarious. He cracks jokes all the time. I would definitely take him again.

HE IS AMAZING! I HAD SO MUCH FUN IN THIS CLASS I DIDNT EVEN FEEL LIKE I WAS IN SCHOOL! If you are a bad writer take this class! he really helps you out and you never feel like you cant do it or its too hard. We played games to help us think, had circle time and passed around ideas. He does so much just to help you get ideas, Mr. Olma is the BEST!

I took his class back in the Spring '08 term but HE IS THE BEST!!!! I love literature & writing but he made it that much more enjoyable and interesting. You will love it if you love literature. He even got me to thinking of minoring in literature.

The most notable comment about the profesor is that you always know what to expect from him. He is always calm and very helpful and never seems to have a bad day. He includes everyone and asks that you write 3 papers: on fiction, poetry, and drama. I strongly recommend Prof. Olma, he is the best Literature teacher at FSCJ.

He is by far one of the best professors I have taken here at FSCJ!!! I have taken all of the classes he offers. He is very nice, and if you talk with him he can be lenient about due dates. I always enjoyed going to his classes, and am looking forward to taking his creative writing class!

yep, i can only tag along the train of infinite praise for this man. pretty much saved my very troubled record at this college, and gave me the confidence and support I needed to breeze through UNF, where I had similar mixed experiences. It is great someone like he exists to deflate the prejudice and contempt I got from the booger profs.

I can't excpress how much I apperciate this man. He made english in college fun. The stories he tells are funny. HE give wondeful feedback & is always there to answer your questions. There were group actitivies & we became like a little family in that class. Never really used the books. The final was extremely easy as well as the 5 required essays.

Great Teacher.However I had immature young kids in the class who would clearly irritate him.He was fun so they tried to take advantage.Wrote 7 papers and made a B on ALL of them!Got a B in the class.Which sucked by the way.You never use your book so take notes you will need it for the final!Awesome guy and very understanding.Take him for sure!

Mr. Olma is one of the few professors I don't want to forget. I took him for ENC 1102, Creative Writing, and Creativity I. He is truly one of the best. If you have an open elective, take Creativity. He's awesome in that subject and is probably one of the best classes I've ever taken.

Wonderful professor. he is very laid back and always helps his students. it's very easy to get an A in his class as long as you do all the essays. attendance to class is not mandatory, you could miss mant lasses and still get an A. i definitely recommend this professor!

He is the best English teacher i have ever had. He is always there to help you when you need him. I would suggest him to anyone he is soooo nice and actually cares about teaching and helping his students. he has a gret sense of humor and although i feel asleep in his class a couple times he does keep you interested some of the time. Essays are super easy and i would take his class over and over again if i could!

He's sarcastic and dry humored, but talks in the same tone the whole class. He talks really slow too, even though what he says is somewhat funny. You learn how to write well, but the class is still extremely easy. I took him this semester and just signed up for him again.

He does like to talk a lot and practically has a story for everything! If you don't take him, you're missing out on an amazing teacher!

Professor Olma is by far my favorite college professor ever. He is down to earth and sarcastic, he makes jokes and keeps you entertained. He challenges you to...think! First off, it's an English class; its not going to be terribly interesting. Prof. Olma is such an interesting, sincere and funny person that i found myself looking forward to going to class just to hear what jokes he has for us in store. If you have to take this class, go to him as soon as you can. You will not be disappointed.

Prof. O was my absolute favorite teacher! His methods are teaching are different. No book or tests! Class consists of critical thinking, participation, & handouts . He goes around the room and we all give our thoughts. Don't be shy! He doesn't judge. ENC 1102 consists of 4 papers and 1 annotation. As long as you follow the recipes, it's an easy A!

Professor Olma was amazing! He's a very understanding guy and willing to meet half way with anyone on their issues. His lectures are exciting and you will be graded on few things. It's pretty hard to fail his papers because he helps you out so much on them. This was my second attempt at ENC1102 and i ended with a B. Definitely an easy guy.

I hate anything English related, i came into the classroom expecting to just have papers to write and poem to read, and it wasn't like that at all. He was very much more focused on the students them self than forcing them to conform to literature standers. He wants to help you form your own opinions and work through the texts your way. He is great

One of the best professor in FSCJ. Just come to class and participate in his lectures and you will pass his class. There only 5 paper through the whole semesters. all the paper are very simple and preety easy.

He also takes great care to insure the assignments are understood. I found him a bit annoying at first simply because Im so used to hard hitting teachers but hes just a very laid back instructor!
