In my three and half years at Concordia,Mr. Sackner has been by far my best teacher. He makes the class so interesting, always brings in great guest speakers and is always ready to help students and answer any questions . He is honestly the best!!!

By far the best teacher I have ever had. I look forward to going to his class, even though it's at night. He has taught me so much! I am so thankful to have had him as my teacher. Other teachers can learn alot from him.

the guest speakers, who he broght in almost everyweek, were admirable. you will learn real world knowledge in a relaxed atmosphere.

THis is by far one of the best teachers I have ever had, I got him once by chance and then I switched my schedule to take him again because I loved the class. His personality and the way he cares is truely amazing.

Amazing teacher! I took a class with him twice and it was the best decision I made. I actually looked foward to going to his classes, I've learned so much and had lots of fun. definitely a lot of business experience, humorous and entertaining.as for course material, sometimes it feels like he taeaches a chapter in 5 min, less emphasis on theory more on talking about it and relating to real life.not bad. participate.let him know you re there-get on his good side.can do well if u work for it.

Excellent teacher, theory is briefy looked over, but he makes sure that we learn to apply it to different situations.

I registered for his class this spring '06. He is very funny. At times you would think that you are in a theatre.He goes through lectures really fast. Does he explain the material? Very briefly. If you want to learn "DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS" .Appears to have preferences for Athletes.Be on his good side.

AMAZING prof. Likes to get the whole class involved. Great memory, remembers names pretty fast. Grading is fair & he really wants to help. You can tell he cares about his students. Explains concepts with vivid examples that are memorable. If you take this FUN class you'll get input from the real practical business world & the text! I took'em twice!

He is always available for his students either before or after class. he is so available he even gives his students his cell phone number. His lectures are interesting and focus on teh real-world. He brings in tons of guest-speakers, which really adds a lot to the class. he is funny and extremly knowledgeable about business and indusrty. Best prof!

He might have ADD because he goes way off topic when gets distracted. His lecture notes/powerpoint slides are very useful but reading the text book is crucial. He is always willing to help before or after class but sometimes he isn't very clear in his explanations. He also has unreasonably high expectations for students.

If more professors were like Jeff, students would actually enjoy coming to school...He is by far the best teacher at Concordia. EASY CLASS & EASY MARKER...Tells you exactly what's on the exam and even brings candy for his students...If you do your work, participate and listen to his jokes (BTW...he's HILARIOUS)...you're guaranteed an A+.

The most energetic and interactive course curriculum to date. J.Sacksner is totally involved and intent on making sure his students learn a great deal. There's no room for improvement here. I would register for every course he teaches without hesitation. A great asset to Concordia and the student population.

He is nice teacher but his teacher styles is not that great. He does not prepare the exam as it supposed to be. Pick Fred Mcgreggor the easiest teacher of all time.

Jeff is an excellent professor! COMM 210 involves a lot of work, but he goes out of his way to make it digestible. His sense of humor and teaching style make you look forward to coming to class. Pay attention, participate and do the work and you'll do great. I highly recommend Jeff’s class.

Definitely try to take him if you can. Jeff is a great teacher. He is hysterical, gets the whole class involved and makes sure you learn a lot. Made a difficult class lots of fun.

I took 2 classes with him. COMM 212 and COMM 320. He sounds like a nice guy and he acts like a real businessman. He provides something other teachers don't. He won't give u low marks but it is not easy to get an A from him. If you aim at an A, don't take him, otherwise his class is fun.

Jeff's class isn't easy. If you want to get an easy A, he's not your guy. Take him if you wanna learn and have fun. You have to read a lot and participate, the midterm and final are hard. But he def makes the class interesting. And don't be offended by racial jokes, he's an overall good guy and doesn't mean harm - just takes it too far sometimes :)

I wish all teachers were like him. Really tries to get you to participate. He does have an enormous amount of energy. In summary - enjoyable class and I learned a lot. Highly recommend. If he was teaching 401 I would take him instantly.

Energetic prof. The class doesn't require much of your time (not like any of the finance or accounting courses). We finished the course material weeks ahead. Quizzes are a joke. Impossible to get a perfect grade on presentations or the project though. Note: Make sure you establish your presence in his class. Very fun, RECOMMEND in a heart beat.

Hands down the best prof at JMSB. Intelligent, animated, funny, experienced, just plain and simply a great person to have teaching you a course. He expects alot out of you for both the exams and assignments but offers you all the help and insight you need. He responds to your emails within minutes. Highly, highly recommended

I've attended 3 unversities in Canada, and 3 abroad, and this teacher easily competed for the number 1 position in my book. Humble, confident, knowledgeble, thinks on his feet, a natural born educator and businessman. A great human being, a waste not to experience being his student. No B.S, gotta own your material.

COMM 320, is a pretty useless class, it's like a chapter out of OB and another out of Marketing taught over 4 months. Waste of time, that's why you MUST TAKE JEFF!! BEST TEACHER! Great for your GPA, never keeps you in for the full 2.5hr. grades for this semester: 1A+ 4A 12A- 13B+ 10B 6B- 1C+ 4C 0C- 0D+ 0D 0D- 0F

Just one word: Wow! The best teacher I ever had for the past three years. He knows what he's talking about, extremely motivated and simply alive. Attendance is important for him, his multiple choice questions can be tricky but if you studied well, you will do well! BEST PROF EVER, I wish he was teaching more classes!

Wow! one of the best teachers I had at concordia! 14 A- and 23 B+ with no one below C in the class of 60 is a pretty high average, so he is not a very hard marker! I would definitely take other classes with him! :) highly recommended! and be sure to come to all classes, cuz participation is mandatory

Really fun and provides really good feedback...midterms are pretty tough though....gets external professionals which is really great...ull learn ALOT from him!

I've had Jeff for both Comm 320 and Comm 401. I love his approach to teaching. He has street smarts and incorporates them while teaching. He doesn't just lecture from the textbook. Makes you want to go to class and you want to do well so you don't disappoint him. Tough grader when it comes to projects but you learn so much from him.

Jeff is so friendly and approachable and his course was the highlight of my semester. He makes himself available to his students as much as possible and is so kind when helping you. He's absolutely hilarious and his lectures go by quickly. He's a fair marker and his exams are alright, just the usual university level.

Simply.. Amazing Jeff!!!! Tests are tricky and he provides great feedback on your report/presentation. I would pay to attend to his class, it is freaking entertaining..

Lectures are more entertaining than they are useful. He thinks he's the funniest guy in the room and it shows. That said, Jeff is a good professor who cares about his students. His slides are good and he prepares you well for the exam. Concordia professors can be a bit boring and distant - not Jeff. Worth taking at least once.

It was a great experience attending his class. Entertaining and funny (with dirty and offensive jokes) makes classes real fun. He is very vain and a few jokes were lame. I would not take him again as his grading is tough and he basically chooses a range (A- to B-) and puts you in one of those. He brings in outside speakers. Take him at least once!

He likes the work he is doing, not for the money i believe but to share his experience with the students. Never boring in the class, make classes lively and interacting. with hard work and participation, you'll definitely have a good grade with this guy.

Take this prof!!! He cares, is amazing, & is hilarious. His lectures & slides are also amazing. It makes the course material much easier to digest. This is a very theory-intensive course so you need to read everything regularly and test yourself. You won't pass if you wait until 2 weeks before exams. Definitely recommend & would take again!

Jeff is a great teacher, he has a strong character, makes his classes entertaining by cracking jokes, and is always energetic. He is demanding and expects work to be done, but can also be very understanding. Stay honest! His lectures tend to be shortened, and he doesn't focus on theory (no need) group work is where you'll get those grades

Amazing lecturer! Concordia needs more profs like Jeff who is hilarious & animates the class instead of put them to sleep. Even if they're full of themselves. Classes were super chill, especially for a boring subject like OB, which made it way easier to digest. Read the book & test yourself regularly or you won't pass final. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!

Great Teacher. Super clear grading system. He is super understanding and knowledgeable. Read his slides and you can easily achieve an A+. Definitely recommend taking him whenever possible.

Sacksner's slides are gold, he tries his best to help students, sometimes give tips, and he is generous. The only hard thing in this class is remembering the concepts and exactly write the definitions and explanations in the exams. Jeff tries his best to explain and gives real life experience. I would definitely recommend.

One of the best professors I've ever had in JMSB. You can tell he's a smart guy and he shares many stories about things he has done in his life. Just sitting and listening to him will increase your knowledge about the course and life in general. Extremely enjoyable class, my only suggestion would be to make sure you read the textbook on your own.

we all love Jeff, he is a unique character, he makes fun of everyone, i know a few students didn't enjoy so much his jokes, but who cares. he makes what it could be one of the most boring classes at JMSB a very enjoyable class. I would definitely take him again. Plus i know he hires some of his best students, so show your brilliance.

Professor Sacksner knows his stuff. He is funny, qualified and knows how to keep the class from falling asleep in a course as boring as COMM 222. The tests generally have pretty tough MCQs and attendance is compulsory. He definitely makes you work for your grade. I wish he would stop mentioning his son every 5 mins though. He is obsessed with him.

funny guy, who tells a lot of jokes. encourage people to talk even when the class is on Zoom. Brings great guest speakers to the class. BUT, boy, his guideline for the project was hella ambiguous and you have to guess what he might want. he has a tough grader who was almost trying to picking bones in the eggs from our exam and project.

Jeff was truly a great prof; he's an interesting person to listen to and a very fair grader. He does flip flop around lectures a lot with anecdotes and stories that he thinks engage us but end up taking up unnecessary class time. Aside from that, he involves the class a lot with questions and isn't afraid of being critical of your work when needed.

Good teacher, his lectures were fun. Midterm was tough so he gave everyone that BEHAVE (who attend classes) a bonus. Do what he asked and you will be fine.

My favourite professor at JMSB as a 4th year. This professor is amazing, he has a lot of concrete experience as he also works full-time. He is hilarious and his lectures are captivating to say the least. Wish I could've had him in more classes throughout my bachelor's degree. In-class attendance does count, make sure to show up.

My favourite professor I've had in my time at JMSB. He's very knowledgeable as he has a lot of real-life experience, and is hilarious too (although he does get off-track sometimes). He's very honest and makes sure you come away with real knowledge that will be applicable and helpful after graduation. Breath of fresh air, I highly recommend him.

Honestly favourite teacher I've taken so far and will be taking him again for my higher level courses that he teaches, does go a little off topic but very knowledgeable and gives interesting lectures.

Jeffrey is a very interesting person and always has anecdotes to share during class which makes the lectures better. He is great when it comes to work related stuff but lacks when it comes to teaching. I would still take him again cause his classes are fun even though he speeds through the powerpoints and he barely teaches the material.
