He knows his material, but he's boring. Not clear about assignments and papers. His tests are usually not too hard, but some of his questions tend to be confusing. Overall his class is okay, I just don't like him.

Basically he just reads the PowerPoint slides verbatim off the screen...if you have had psych prior to this class I would recommend just downloading the power point presentations and skip class...unless you need an hour nap in the middle of the day.

His tests aren't hard if you review all of the slides and read the material. I like the class because its very easy to know what you miss when you aren't there. He's not horrible but you need to pay attention and he can be very rude

Hot guy, but not the funnest class. It's a big lecture hall, I only ended up going to the test days cause the class is boring. He just reads off of the Powerpoint slides. He's nice to look at though.

Wagman is an awesome teacher. If you go to class and somewhat pay attention your fine. He gives small amounts of extra credit so tests are important. Very interesting class and its easy to pay attention when the professors hot like him!

He's hot, but I didn't like the class. He reads the slides during lectures but I still thought it was more helpful when I was in class. Class was hard and the study guides mean nothing. Even though there is only a little extra credit, do it!

He made class so easy. Go to class and you cant get under an 85. You can miss a few classes and be fine. He makes everything so clear and simple. If you need to take this as a prerwuisite take him, you will understand everything inyour next psych class.

He's an okay teacher. You have to study hard to get a good grade on the tests, but all you have to study are your notes. Your only grade in there is on your tests, so if your not good at test taking I would take the class with another teacher.

This class isn't so aweful, it's just not great. Go to class because he gives more notes than what's on the slides. Don't buy the book either, your notes are all you need to study. The tests are pretty easy, but they're your only grades. I would recommend anyone to take this class.

He's pretty cute but wow is he boring. His voice is really monotone and he puts misc. questions on the test so you basically have to memorize everything. He's really repetitive and the class is very boring most of the time. Don't buy the book b/c you never need it!

I really enjoyed this class. There are only 4 tests worth 25% of your grade and you do not need to buy the book. I really liked going to lectures because he seemed to know what he was talking about. I thought it was a very interesting class.

he's not as hot as everyone said he is! my guy friend told me to take him cause he's a stud...his voice is insane, drives me crazy. he's crappy when it comes to explaining things, but if you take notes your fine, that's all you need. don't buy the book, it's a waste of your money.

This class was very complicated. There were a lot of biological and physiological theories.It also was very philisophical at times. His tests were hard. There are no study guides. But print out the notes and study those. They help a lot for studying.

PSY 111. Very interesting guy, & this class isn't that hard to understand, & he makes everything very clear & relates all the material together. The tests are hard & he grades the papers hard, which sucks. I still like him though. There are study guides now for the tests. VERY helpful, i just look @ the study guide & I get 90%s & better. TAKE HIM!

This class was actually pretty interesting. I read some of the comments before I took this class and they were mostly bad. I thought he was a good teacher, if you go to the class and study the notes he gives you, YOU WILL DO FINE. I didn't use the textbook once so don't even bother buying it, because he bases the tests strictly on the notes

Really easy class only if you attend ALL of his lectures. His tests consist of some of the information found in the text books but the majority of it is from his notes. He makes a point in each lecture to somehow talk about his dog, or cat, it's annoying. Do not take this course if you have had an AP Psychology class, you'll be bored to tears.

This teahcer isnt the best and he isnt always clear with his teahcings. His assistants were the worst though, each one had a different answer to a question if asked at the review sessions. You will never use the book in class but if you study with it you will.

Class was easy if you read over your notes before tests. We never used the text so it's pretty worthless to have. Just attend every lecture and study the notes before each test and you should do fine! I pulled an A just doing that!

I thought he was a great teacher. He made the class interesting. He offers extra credit for every test, and all tests are mult. choice. All you need to do is attend lecture (most of the time) and review notes for tests. Textbook is useless. He looks like Steve from Blue's Clues.

Offers extra credit with each test. Only grades are four tests equalling 100 point. Reading isn't very necessary, most info comes from in class notes. Not very willing to help outside of class and don't come late, fall asleep or get up to go to the bathroom because he will get mad at you

I thought dr wagman was an awesome teacher.. his class is super easy. You do not need to read the book just make sure to go over powerpoints and the sample exam questions before an exam. Also attend the review session. Its pretty easy to get a A or B in the class

Dr. Wagman does a really good job of explaining the material if you go to class, but other than that he really doesn't seem to care how the students in his class are doing. As long as you pay attention and go to class most of the time, you can easily pull off an A or B.

Psy 111 and 110 are totally different. 111 is for majors and so smaller class. For both show up, ask questions, study the notes, attend office hours and you will do fine. There are study sessions before the test which help. Use the TAs. The more they know you as a person the better you will do because of all the discussions you have had with them.

I spent almost $100 on the textbook for this class and it is completely useless. In lecture the information he talks about are very simple, common knowledge types of things and then you get to the exams and the questions are hard! They are worded all weird and don't have much to do with what we talked about in class. He isn't a horrible teacher jus

A pretty good teacher but I don't like him as a person. Comes off as arrogant. Thinks he's funny when he's not. Kind of rude if someone asks a question. I would recommend trying to get a different teacher. Don't really need the textbook but definitely buy the other book for the papers. Buy the PIP packet for sure.

basically each class could be 10 mins long but he talks for ever. and is not funny, cool, or interesting at all. i hate that class. i dont ever recommend choosing him as a teacher. he tries way to hard to be witty but its just annoying and all the test are really difficultly worded and confusing.

Dr.Wagman is an informative professor. He knows his information and teaches it well however, he is very condescending and rude to his students. He comes off as very arrogant and rude, DONT use your cell phone in his class he'll flip****. USE the PIP packet but i wouldn't recommend the psych book..

Wagman was by far my worst teacher this semester. He talked to his students as if they were 5 years old, and when someone asked a question he literally NEVER knew the answer and always said we'd cover it later, which we never did. Don't go to the review sessions, they don't help. Overall, i'd highly recommend staying away from this professor

The class was way harder than it should have been. It's a freshman gen. ed. and the tests were not easy. I think personally he's kind of stupid. To me he seemed like he was in love with himself but didn't actually know much about psych. Some people liked him, I thought he didn't know anything beyond the material we studied.

This class is pretty easy if you go to class everyday and study your notes. I WOULD recommend reading the more difficult topics in the book because it really helps when it comes time to answer some tricky questions on the exams. Just study your notes, read the book if you have to, and go to class and you should do just fine.

Class so far is moderate. Not much reading to do. 5 easy short writing assignments and 4 tests is all the you are graded on. Tests can be tricky. Questions are awkward. He is awkward, socially. Not a lot of people show up for class, but its the only way to get the notes for the test. Not too bad of a class, just not very interesting.

This professor seems like he hates his students. He shows no respect what so ever and believes that if you don't get it then it is your fault. I would definitely recommend not taking this class with him. He is terrible and anyone who says different has not talked to him on a one on one basis

I was in a class of about 20. It was really boring. He thinks he's hilarious and is the only one to laugh at his jokes. He comes off as very arrogant. The tests are pretty hard. You really need to know what you're talking about. Makes the TA do the reviews which DON'T help. I would definitely try getting someone else.

He is very vague with his lectures. If you don't go to class, then you miss the notes so definately go to class or get notes from someone else. Buy the PIP packet because it's basically the lecture in a book. He has no personality whatsoever and also lacks people skills. He's not very helpful when you go in to ask him questions either.

Many people don't like him because he's not afraid to tell people to shut up or tell them how it is. He's an awesome instructor. If you pay attention, the tests are easy, and many times he will try to add some fun or randomly let you out early. He knows what he is talking about and he knows how to explain it. Get the pip! He never uses the book.

Don't bother asking him for help because he treats you like you're an idiot. This class wasn't too bad. You def need to go to lectures to learn info for tests. Going to class and paying attention helps a lot for the tests. He also gives tons of very good examples to help you relate to the material, which isn't too hard in the first place. Some studying is necessary for the tests. Overall good class.

This is probably one of the easiest classes Ive had and if you actually go to lecture and maybe put in like 2 hours of studying for the exams there is no excuse for not getting an A- very easy! DO NOT BUY THE BOOK. you will literally never touch it. Tests seem easy...until you get your grade back. You must study a lot and definitely cannot miss any lectures. Rarely gives As. Only 13 out of a class of almost 400 got an A in my class. Hard work is definitely required. Goodluck

Don't buy the book, whatever you do. Never touched except once and it did nothing for me. He's not boring, he's actually quite funny but it might depend on the class too. He helped me whenever I asked for help during office hours. It's only for psych majors, but I enjoyed his class. Test were difficult, homework and papers were easy.

Dr. Wagman expects you to be responsible. Don't waste his time and he's very willing to help. He may come off as intimidating to some but I think it might be because he isn't here to babysit you. Don't ask him for the notes if miss class, just get it from someone else.

Come to the lectures. Definitely buy his pip packets they help. Everything on the tests are in the lecture notes. He is challenging but fair. I also have him for Psy361, which is harder than 253, but still interesting. It's nice that the information in these two classes overlap some-makes it easier. I never really used any of the books.

Dr. Wagman didn't really impress me or displease me. He was a good professor, but didn't do anything to stand out from any other good professor. He wasn't too hands on, but it didn't really affect my grade. I would by the book, but it's not required. It was very helpful for studying for tests. Also the PIP packet was a lifesaver, I'd buy both!

Wagman is very knowledgeable abt the subject. However, I feel that he was most times rude & heartless when it came to helping students succeed. There R only 4 tests 4 the entire semester, so if u don't do well, your grade won't be good. If there's any way to avoid this professor, DO SO BY ALL MEANS!! Promise, you will regret it if you get him.

Wagman is very thorough about what he does, but that's about it. If you don't understand the first time around than you better find a TA because he sure isn't going to answer your question. The only grades in the class are four different tests. Go to the review sessions they don't help a lot but the TA's basically give free answers and that's it.

Definitely easy to look at, that's for sure. The class is not that hard if you actually listen to what he is teaching during class. He doesn't just read off of the slides, so listen to his examples. The PIP packet is vital in order to succeed. The textbook is NOT necessary. I never touched it. Overall, I still got a B+. Missed an A by ONE point...

Generally, he was a nice person, but his class was very difficult. If you asked questions, he would just repeat himself instead of explaining further. He was never very clear either. You have to read every week or you won't do well on the test (which are difficult) I would avoid this professor if possible.

Going to class was a must as Dr. Wagman was helpful, and completely explained all the concepts. If help is needed office hours were always available. Very interesting material, but you do have to work. PIP packet very helpful too.

Yes Wagman gives hard tests, but if you study hard for the tests, you should get at least a B or A in the class trust me. My 1st test was a 77 then an 89 and 92 on the 2nd and 3rd cause I studied hard and got a well deserved grade. My highest recommendation is get the "PIP packet" That will be your best friend for this class and thats how you pass

Yes Wagman gives pretty hard tests, but all you have to do is study hard for a well deserved grade. My 1st test I got a 77 but then my 2nd and 3rd I got an 89 and a 92! My highest recommendation is to get what he calls the "PIP packet" and you will be golden. Just reread the powerpoint slides in this packet to study and you'll do great on tests!!!

He presents his ideas and information clearly and has decent examples during lectures. But it's his exams that bone you. If you get a high C or low B (77-82) on one exam, but do extremely well on the other 3 its very difficult to get an A. Offering little extra credit. Don't buy the book I never touched it. Buy his PIP packet and you'll be golden.

I am now a senior, with a 3.3 GPA, and this was the only class I have ever gotten a C in for my entire college career. He uses his class to show people that psychology can be difficult/interesting, but he doesn't have to do that. I fully respect psych majors, but this should be an easy class, and he puropsefully made trick questions etc.

I took psychology in high school and I did very well, but in this class I just made it into the B range. I would recommend getting the PIP packet, extremely helpful. Tests are challenging so make sure you do the extra credit whenever you can, because it was the reason I was able to get a B in this class! Overall Dr. Wagman was a good teacher.

DO NOT TAKE HIM. Theres only four grades in the whole class, which are all exams including the final. Attendance isn't mandatory but you need to go if you want to pass the class. He also offers extra credit that's due on exam days, so if you do get stuck with him you should really do the extra credit.

Professor Wagman's lectures were interesting, however his tests were extremely hard. Unfortunately, these are the only grades you receive for the entire semester besides the very few extra credit you can do. Overall a very challenging course!

Did not like this class at all. I really like psych classes and it interests me a lot but Wagman isn't the best teacher. You have four grades the entire class and they are all tests. He offers extra credit on each test but you can only get three points and its a lot of work for it and doesn't really help your grade.He doesn't teach well. Hard class

Wagmans class was kind of hard. I would recommend not skipping many classes. Buy the PIP packet because it has all his slides and makes studying easy. Do the extra credit it's super easy and by the end of the semester it will add up to 12 extra points. If you go to every class you will not need the textbook.

He is a very good professor. There is no homework, and he gives easy extra credit opportunities. Do no get the textbook it isn't needed, but get the PIP packet it is a life saver. Go to class because everything on the test is clearly explained in class. Go to the exam reviews ran by the TA's it helps too. If you put in effort you should pass.

Not easy to skip class, since no lectures are posted online. PIP Packet is required to fill in blanks of very visual and descriptive power points. Exams are tough. Pay attention to concepts in class, and make notecards!

He puts tons of notes online. His homework is relatively easy. He just wants you to be specific. His test are terrible because half the questions have 2 possible answer. Make sure you figure out who is in you class that way you guys can take the test together. It helps. Only gives one extra credit opportunity so take advantage

The homework is super easy. Everything online is set up in powerpoints so its well organized. The problem is, you have to look over so much info for the tests that it's hard to remember everything. Would recommend finding someone in this class to take the test with. I got a C in this class by the grace of Lord Jesus himself. goodluck...

For the online class, he posts all of the PP's. I would suggest taking good notes while going through them because that's definitely the only reason why I was successful in this class. Exams are online, timed, and linear (so taking it with other people would be hard). Your grade is pretty much all exams. An A is attainable (with some work).

You have to be willing to put in effort for his class. Go to class, participate, study a little bit, and you're good. Hardest part of the class were the writing portions on the tests, you just have to be thorough.

I love Dr. Wagman. He uses many analogy for this class in order for you to understand the material. He is strict. If you show up, take good notes. follow instructions, and turn assignments in on time you will be fine. He doesn't try to trick you. He's always willing to help when you need it. His class requires a little studying.

There were a few papers but they weren't difficult to do, and the random homework wasn't difficult. He graded easily on the homework, but didn't give much feedback on the second paper. He honestly made the class easy to understand and enjoyable.

Tough but clear grader. I've gotten a 100% on most of my assignments and he still gives feedback to help you improve. There is a LOT of material. Stay up to date on work otherwise you're screwed. Take a lot of notes and make note cards. 4 HW and 4 tests makes up your grade. Tests are very challenging-know all of the people and studies mentioned.

I thought taking this class online would make it easier, but Dr. Wagman has a lot of typos and it makes the tests and learning the material very difficult. The homework is pretty easy if you think it through, but I literally copied word for word what he said in the notes and it was marked wrong. I wouldn't recommend him for this class.

Taking good notes for each lesson is really the key to passing the course. Tests are the main portion of your grade. They seem difficult because they ask about "unrelated" things but its really testing your understanding not your memorization, which is something Wagman emphasizes a lot. Overall pretty good for an online class.

This online class is by no means a blow off class. His tests force you to understand and not just memorize. The class consisted of 4 exams (100pts), 4 hw (25pts), and up to 5 pts ec. The key to success was taking good notes and attending the review sessions. Overall, I enjoyed this class and it didnt take too much work to get an A.

Horrible. I worked hard, had an A the whole semester then he graded my last exam response and hw based off a technicality of wording and dropped my grade just below an A. At over 89% he wouldnt reconsider how he graded or round. Avoid this teacher at all costs.

The only assignments in this class are 4 exams and Im a horrible test taker so this class was very hard for me. Sometimes hell add extra points on the exam if the class average was poor. The study guides dont really help with the exams. He gives 2 extra credit assignments and they kinda saved my grade. I ended up with a high C in this class.

His power points for his online class are simply large blocks of text (might as well read the full chapters in the textbook), are riddled with typos, and very few of the YouTube links work (in my experience). Grading is kinda nitpicky, but that might be courtesy of the TA. COVID-19 forced many classes online, and they are better than this one.

This Psychology class required a lot more work than expected. There are 4 exams, 4 homework assignments, and 2 extra credit opportunities. I would recommend the extra credit to help your grade. You will need to know and understand the lecture concepts to do well. I did not use the textbook much. If you struggle with exams, I might avoid this class.

To do well on the exams, you have to watch his lectures, read the assigned chapter (if there is one), and understand the material. If you don't study, you'll struggle. The tests consist of 40 MC and a 20 point writing question. I really enjoyed this class and learned so much in comparison to my other online courses this semester due to Covid-19.

I took PSY110 online my freshman year and really struggled. Pre-recorded lectures, only tests are given and that is what you are graded on. Must make an appointment to meet with professor. If you take this class, definitely look into getting tutored.

the only thing you're graded on is a few tests that are easy if you listen to the lectures. They are passable w/o tho :) He says to get the textbook, but I never once used it so don't buy it. He is pretty funny in his lectures tho. you have 2 opportunities for extra credit and he always has study guides for the tests which i found resourceful

The entire course grade is based on four exams and two extra credit assignments. If you take good notes on the lectures then you will do well on the exams. I never used the textbook so do not buy it. He offers study guides and example test questions to guide your understanding. Easy A if you are willing to put the time and work in.

posts video lectures that are not helpful (in my opinion) a lot of them are just screen recordings of youtube videos. Grading is confusing and doesn't give you any feedback. The tests are hard and you only have 4 assignments. I didn't feel like he cared much for our learning. Only take this class if you have to and be ready to study.

Took PSY 110 online with Professor Wagman. Class content was mostly pre-recorded lecture videos. There was an e-textbook, but I never used it after the free-trial ended. Grades were based off of four exams and there were two extra credit opportunities. Not a bad class or teacher- just wasn't that interesting to me and info can be a lot to remember.

This teacher is dead set on making your life as a student miserable. His lectures are prerecorded and hard to follow; the info does not relate to exams. Taken in fall 2022 as an online course. Dr. Wagman grades you on four tests along with extra credit. If you don't take notes on the posted lectures you will perform poorly as the way he writes questions makes it hard to understand without prior knowledge. The extra credit he offers is minimal.

I took this course online, so I never met Dr. Wagman in person. In my experience, the class consisted of watching lecture videos and taking notes, completing some (ungraded) practice questions, and then taking a test. There's only 4 exams, but don't miss 1 of the 25 questions or you'll already be at 92%. The content of these questions being hyper-specific examples of case studies he spent 3 min. explaining in an ONLINE lecture. I have a learning disability and when I asked for feedback on my short answer and he told me I just need to study more :)

His tests are 80% of the grade which have mostly multiple choice, most of which are asked in the most unnecessarily confusing way. This class created so much anxiety for me this semester. I spent min 50 hrs prep per exam. Add writing assignments to demonstrate understanding outside of an anxiety riddled, confusing, time constrained environment.

I took his class PSY 110 as an online. He posts 3-5 lecture videos per week with a test at the end of each unit. The tests are kind of difficult but if you go over your notes before you should be okay. The only issue is that you only get graded on the 4 exams through the semester, but he does offer extra credit opportunities.

He posts lectures for each unit that vary in length, but nothing too time consuming. The textbook isn't worth it and I did better on the exams with just watching his lectures. The exams can be really difficult and they're the only thing in the grade book. I wouldn't recommend his course if you're just trying to meet the gen-ed requirement tbh.

This is not an easy online course. He grades homework without rubrics, so students are always confused about getting back their grades. His test questions are created to be application questions, but are written in the most difficult form possible. He is a nice guy, but I can not handle the unnecessary placed from his grading and testing style.

The way he sets up his exams makes them difficult and tests your comprehension and not so much memorization of material. I did think his video lectures were good and that he explained material well, just do yourself a favor and set it at 1.5 speed since he talks super slow. He also gives you a lot of time to complete the lectures and homework.
