Dr. Chong is an extremely fair and intelligent professor that appreciates effort and hard work and is not afraid to tell students where improvement is needed. There are numerous extra credit opportunities provided, and as long as you do the work to the best of your ability, you WILL pass with a satisfactory grade.
There are tests each week. You must read the chapter and pay attention to all the side stories. Know the definitions as these are key to be able to answer the essay questions on the test. He is generous with the essay questions. If you are in the ball park he gives you credit for the answer.
Great Teacher! Take if you have the chance. Clear directions and very caring. I plan to take more classes with him.
Professor Chong is great! Being online, clear expectations is essential to succeed. He provides well thought out feedback that is helpful for your success. For any online class, reading the chapters and participating in the discussion. He adds a little twist but it's good for the soul.
I was given incorrect information by other students. Dr. Chong appreciates effort. He's a though grader. However, if you do what is asked in the assignment, he will give you the credit and provide feedback if necessary. He also provides chances for extra credit. I currently have a B+ and hope to do better in last assignments to bring up to an A.
If you are looking for a professor that will interact with you and give you feedback, when you ask for it, this is your guy! The class is structured in a way that if you pay close attention to the reading, powerpoints, and professors personal videos you will do well. The tests are difficult, 37 questions with essay questions. READ the BOOK.
Dr. Chong is a reasonable and understanding professor. When taking this class it is important to have great time management skills. Also, the professor is a bit hard to reach. I believe he could have provided better feedback on assignments.
Took course online. You need to put the time in to be successful. Dr. Chong does provide the tools. It is up to you to use them. Tests are more difficult compared to other online courses taken thus far. Was a struggle early on. Reached out for some guidance. Dr. Chong was quick to respond and provided sound advice for success.
Best online instructor taking thus far.
Professor Chong really cares about his students. His teaching in class is very effective and he is very inspirational. He does a lot of group projects presentations to prepare us for capstone. Due to COVID I had to take him online it was very hard, a lot of reading and teach yourself. discussions, quizzes and exams. No reviews
Great professor but if you do take him, be prepared to do a full blown project. you will need the book because he wants citations straight from the text. Discussions are long (300 words) but he is really nice.
I have had class with Dr. Chong both on campus and online. In both settings, he is very knowledgeable and requires a great deal of work/reading. Dr. Chong likes giving assignments where you get to reflect on yourself as a leader and he enjoys group work so whether you take him online or in person, team assignments are a must.
This is my second class with Dr. Chong and he is one of the best professors at PBSC. Explains everything he expects from you in order to pass the class. If you show effort and do all the assignments you will pass. He is also straightforward with you, does not sugarcoat anything which is why he is well respected among students.
Dr. Chong is a great online professor. He gave clear instructions for each section. He puts a lot of efforts in his course to make sure you learn from textbook and lecture. Make sure to take class serious if you want to get a good grade. I have learn a lot from his leadership challenge course.
If you have the option to take Dr. Chong, I highly recommend it. I have chosen him every time he was an option. Do the work and you will pass.
Professor Chong gives enough feedback for students to learn. He provides clear directions on what he expects from students.
Dr. Chong is just as good as a professor online as in class. Normal online class with discussion questions, quiz, and assignments for each lesson. 2 tests the entire semester, midterm and final. There is a group project that makes up the majority of final grade.
Dr. Chong is great. I have taken him for a few classes throughout my BAS program. He is caring and if you complete the assignments as instructed you will do fine. Do not skip his EC opportunities he is very fair with it. I suggest you take Dr. Chong!
Make sure you do the reading and the assignments. This course is hard work but fairly simple if you do what is needed to do. Professor Chong is always available for questions about everything. Do the extra credit opportunities he gives out. One of my favorite professors at PBSC. I am taking most of my courses with him.
The group project is clear to do. Make sure to check the group messages. Read the textbook. Honestly it was one of my favorite courses. Leadership is important to know. You learn a lot about your own leadership skills as well. Extra credit opportunities are available so do them.
I have taken him both in person and online and perfer his class in person.
Professor is very easy. Class not hard at all. you have to put in the effort to complete assignments on time.
This class was taking online due to COVID19. From my experience online learning is tough because there aren't any live discussions to apply what we are reading. Be prepared to read every chapter, and have a test with every chapter. He is a fair grader, and the workload is doable. Just manage your time.
I generally don't like taking online classes, but because of covid I had no choice, great professor. He return work at a reasonable time. Lots reading.
Great Professor, do everything on time and what the rubric requires and you should pass. Will answer emails quickly.
Professor Chong gives constructive criticism on majority of assignments. I truly enjoyed the content of this course, but you must read the chapters of the textbook as he does not provide any lectures. You must be willing to put in the work in order to pass.
This was my first online class I've taken at PBSC. I was worried because I thought I wasn't going to get any help from my professor but I was wrong. Dr. Chong was really good at communicating with his students and gave us a lot of feedback that helped me with my writing.
Great professor. Very considerate of his students and he is a tough grader but only because he wants you to succeed! He is very inspirational and all in all, highly recommend. He is big on participation so you have to be willing to participate. Awesome Professor!!!
Chong is one of the best professors I have had!! He holds every student accountable and ensures everyone has a clear understanding of what needs to be done and how to do it. He runs the class in a professional manner and treats every student as a "scholar". I took him for the first time when I took Capstone, highly recommended professor!!!
Dr. Chong is one of the brightest professors at Palm Beach State College. He gives good feedback and is willing to answer any questions. You do have to work in his classes, but nothing unusual. Participation and effort matters a lot to him. He is respected by all students and he is a great source of knowledge. Take his classes! I highly recommend
Dr. Chong is a great teacher. He cares about his students and makes it easy to get a good grade. He also gives real feedback on your work and pushes you to improve. It is learning without stress. He makes it simple to get through the capstone process. TAKE HIM!!!
Dr. Chong is a great professor. He lets you know how things are needed to be done in a respectful way. He is very understanding with our technology issues. Attendance and participation is a must and he ensure we all have engage. Different class but really hands on.
This is my first time taking the time to rate a professor because what I have to say must be true with no favoritism. Dr. Chong is one of the greatest teacher that I ever have and it is an honor for me to be his student. Dr. Chong gives you direct and constructive feedback to make you aware and ready for your capstone presentation.
RMP. Very awesome professor! breaks you out of you shell and also has very good punctuality.
Excellent professor, takes the time to make sure you learn the information! Everything from the syllabus to assignments, everything is very detailed and easy to follow through. Not an easy A, make sure you put the work in and study for quizzes and exams! Very fair and manageable!
I enjoyed this class and Dr. Chong. I took this class online (like most of my classes). I was so nervous that we had a group project but it worked out really well. He grades fairly and if you do the work its not a hard class. I really enjoyed him and will have him again next semester.
Dr. Chong is a great professor. He helps people break out of their shell and interact with one another. We had group presentations and a solo presentation. He is a fair grader and is very straightforward with what he expects from you. Like any class in college you have to put in the effort but he will definitely help when needed. Take his course!
This professor was amazing!! He gives really good constructive feedback, but you have to do the work. He also gives opportunity for extra credit, but dont rely on that. I plan on taking him as many classes as he teaches, signed up for two next semester. This was an online class, so you have to put forth effort to get results.
I took the professor on line based on the app, I find the class to be very informative, be prepared to know how to write a proper APA style papers, do your discussions, look out for his announcements in order to get extra credit, every chapter does have a test to take but you also have the pre-test that prepares you for the test, great class.
Professor Chong is very fair and gives extra credit where it is due. He can be a little harsh on the grading but if you pay attention, you cannot fail. I recommend you take his class if you can because you will learn a lot and not be disappointed.
Dr. Chong is AMAZING!! He is always there to help you and wants for you to succeed. He makes his classes as a way to help students prepare for future course and even work place. He does not give you busy work so best believe that the few assignments given are worth a lot, however he gives you ample time to do it. I am taking him again
Dr. Chong is a great professor as he encourages you and challenges you to do your best. He gives ample extra credit and feedback to improve. It is not class to ignore as it does take time. He would respond quickly to my messages within a day or two. You will not regret taking him, just remember to keep on top of the lessons!
Dr. Chong was amazing!! Would recommend taking him
Professor Chong is very well organized, gives honest feedback, helps you improve yourself if you want to and also respond in a day. In MAN3025 he will give you a research paper to write throughout the semester and 5 cases and chapter quizzes and discussions for each chapters. This class pretty much require some reading and good time management.
Dr. Chong is one of the best professors, hands down. However, get ready to participate, interact, and do a lot of home. One thing is a guaranty, "you will learn."
This is the second class I have with Dr. Chong and I will do more if possible. He is clear of what he expects of you and what you should expect from him. The best way to pass is to read the text so get the book, but because he organizes the class so it is not a heavy workload. Gives amazing feedback and extra credit opportunities.
The course content required per Dr. Chong stimulates the psyche. Class participation is mandatory as pertinent information is lectured during each class meeting. Structured, tailored for the student who wants to succeed! Easy to follow syllabus, content correlates and is an extension of other courses I have taken thus far in the Bachelors program.
This professor is the best online teacher ever, he is honest and requires you to be your best. Read the syllabus as your bible. As long as you show up, participate and follow his directions you will pass.
Great Professor !
Dr. Chong was a great professor, he is very clear about what he expects from you and gives feedback when he see's you need help. Reading the chapters is necessary but I found them interesting and very helpful with the assignments and tests. I would take him for every class if I could.
Dr. Chong was a great professor and he has clear expectations for the class. The group project was easier than I thought it would be but I had a good group so I suggest signing up for the first group the first day it opens. He gives a lot of extra credit and rewards us for good behavior by removing future assignments from time to time.
Dr. Chong gives assignments to stimulate your mind, to think outside of the box and pushes you to put in effort that is genuine and thought provoking. He respects participation and feedback. I've learned a lot in his class that I will use in the real world.
Dr. Chong is a great professor. He truly cares about teaching and is passionate about his job. However be prepared to work! Dr. Chong will move at a fast pace and you need to be prepared to stay on top of assignment due dates and homework. I will say that i have learned an unbelievable amount from this professor who will push you to be the best.
Dr. Chong is amazing, one of the best Professors at palm beach state hands down. Expect to put in effort and participate and you will do well. He grades based on effort shown. He cares about his students. Would definitely recommend taking him for capstone and any class that you can.
Dr. Chong is a great professor. He cares about his students. This is my first time taking him online, though I have taken other classes in person with him. He is fair with extra credit. Show up and participate in the group discussions, write the five cases, several tests and an apa paper. He responds quickly to questions.
The class was schedule to be in person but due to COVID-19 it was transfer to remote learning. Dr. Chong made the transition easier then other professors. Camera had to be on but this made the learning more engaging. The hands on approach made the class a bite easier. Overall it was great.
Overall I thought he was a good professor and worked very hard to communicate with his students.
Good professor, gave lots of feedback
Dr. Chong is the epitome of what a great professor is and should be. He is NOT easy in that he expects you to perform with your best EFFORT and won't sugarcoat what he says or be lenient if he sees that you could be doing better. He values interaction and expression while reinforcing that his students actually learn something. Very inspirational.
Dr. Chong is the best professor ever. If you have the chance to take him TAKE HIM. I have taken him for 3 different classes, and If I could I would have taken him for all of my courses I would of. There are no surprises, he is very adamant of what he expects from students. Dr. Chong truly sets the bar of how a professor should be.
I highly recommend Professor Chong to any student because he really cares about his students well-being and academic development. He sets clearly defined expectations and always provides fast and constructive feedback. He regularly reaches out to students to provide the motivation and inspiration to ensure students stay on track. The best at PBSC
I highly recommend Dr. Chong because he cares about students' success. His group project gives students the opportunity to engage with others to develop their leadership and team-building skills. He is an inspirational leader that students want to emulate. He always gives students prompt and constructive feedback. Opportunities for extra credit.
I highly recommend Professor Chong to any student because he inspires students to excel academically. He genuinely wants his course to help students be successful in their future careers. He always gives prompt feedback and encouragement. Pay attention to his weekly announcements for extra credit opportunities. The best!
Great professor. Has a sense of humour. Do the work and you will get a good grade. Interesting subject. I definitely would choose him again as a professor.
Professor Chong made it clear from day 1 of class that you must put in the effort to get a good grade. He has given several opportunities for extra credit. The quizzes were a little tough but it is to be expected with a Bachelors class. Don't procrastinate and you should be fine. He also grades rather quickly.
This professor is strict but once I did the tasks on time and followed the rules, everything became so easy. He is big on grammar and APA style but he also gives opportunities for extra credit. I truly learned a lot from this class.
Great class
By far one of the best online classes I have taken. I felt like the Professor was actually available, gave quick feedback, and I really appreciated the weekly messages and videos he posted. I also like the many opportunities to earn extra credit. There is quite a bit of work involved.
Great professor. Makes you work but always gives extra credit.
Read all policies for the class. Read them
Dr. Chong is a great professor who sets out clear guidelines on what his expectations are. Work is manageable and you must read to do well. There's a discussion and a quiz each week with a few assignments and a final research paper and presentation. There's no reason not to pass if you do your work and follow his instructions! Must take!
Dr. Chong is a tough professor, but he also gives his students clear instructions on what he expects from them. He doesn't sugarcoat, but is extremely nice about it. Although there was a group project, he was extremely specific in what wanted and how he wanted the information presented, which helped tremendously. Tests were all multiple choice.
After taking Dr. Chong for three courses, both on campus and online, I must say he is rather consistent. His class is by no means an easy A, but once you get used to his expectations, you realize what he expects is very reasonable. His classes are always fun to take, they require you to think independently and put in work. He is a great professor.
Good on keeping the gradebook updated. The group project in this class requires a lot of cooperative and collaborative work, as well as time. He is very respectable and good at communication through announcements. Overall excellent curriculum.
I really enjoyed professor Chung, I highly recommend him!
This was an online class so of course you pretty much teach yourself the material, but he always made himself available for any questions or concerns you might have. He responded to emails in a timely manner and gave great feedback to help you improve your work going forward.
Prof. Chong is a great communicator and has awesome weekly messages. This was an online course so discussions and case studies are an absolute must.
Dr. Chong is actually one of the 1st Professors to ever push me to my limit. He doesn't want average work so get ready to put some thought into those discussions. I would definitely recommend him if your actually looking to learn.
RUN! He is highly critical and makes you feel like your work is never good enough. His class is all over the place with these strict guidelines. I have never rated a professor poorly, but he would be it. Don't waste your and get another professor.
Tough grader, submit your assignments on time or don't get a grade at all, he's very thorough. professor. The class was not bad, just did not fit my learning styles. If you prefer in-person classes, this class may be difficult for you.
Dr. Chong cares about his student success and wants everyone to succeed, his lectures are informative and the quizzes offer situations rather than textbook definitions. Case study every week but they are simple if you know proper formatting and did the weeks readings. I recommend taking his class overall due to his dedication to his students.
Professor Chong, is great with the material. For online classes, video presentations are a must, so if you are camera shy prepare your writing ahead of time and study for test.
He is awesome! This is the second class i have taken with him and if there are more, Ill do those as well! He gives great feedback on your grades so you can get them higher for next time. He gives easy extra credit. He cares about his students even when we are online!! A+++
I wish I had the opportunity to take him in campus only because I hate online classes. Dr. Chong will make sure you pass the class as you are willing to put in the work. I love his way of teaching and I would definitely recommend him.
Professor Chong is a great professor and as long as you study and do the work on time you should be just fine!
Professor Chong is an awesome Professor. He is very intellectual and knowledgeable. He cares for his students and gives good feedback on discussions and papers. He also gives opportunity for extra credit, "which is nothing to sneeze at" (as he says). His constructive criticism has helped me progress within his class. Take him, he is great!
Dr. Chong is a great professor. He is not easy, but he is fair. You will enjoy his class if you put in the work.
Dr. Chong was excellent. Easy to get a hold of. Lots of opportunities for extra credit. Do the work and you'll do well. If you're having trouble or have questions, he is easy to get ahold of and always responds with great feedback. 10/10 would take again
Not an easy A, makes you work for the grade, but it is achievable. Several extra credit opportunities. Lots of reading (PPTS) and some long writing assignments. Available for help by email/phone. Read the PPTs, do the extra credit, study with the self assessments and you should be good.
I highly recommend taking Dr. Chong (especially for Capstone). I am about to graduate and I took him for two courses. His class does require a lot of work but he wants to see you be successful and with that being said, he is very understanding and will provide you effective feedback that I would highly suggest taking into consideration. He's great!
Dr Chong is very specific in what he wants from you as a student. He gives great feedback on papers so you can improve on your work. This is not an easy professor if you don't want to work for your grade. You work as a group for the majority of the semester. Two main presentations but he prepares you for both.
Gives a fair share of homework, but emails back when emailed in a timely manner and is respectful to his students of their time. Grades fairly and is open to extra credit.
Dr. Chong has been a great professor. He emails back quickly and gives you feedback on your homework, good or bad. He grades on time and keeps you updated on your grades. I would take him again 100 percent. Yes, you have to study but that's with every class!
Took him for Capstone. To simplify, if you're looking for an easy class THIS ISNT IT. He is one of those professors that challenge you to succeed, get creative, and is your biggest cheerleader. This entire class was based on 5 chapters of a paper that you will present on. Ask questions, do the work, yes there is extra credit. I did really enjoy him
Dr. Chong is a true GEM. He is the most thoughtful, caring, and incredible professor at Palm Beach State. He tends to be a "tough grader" but if you FOLLOW DIRECTIONS and submit within the due date you should be fine. Work load is not overwhelming and he focuses on preparing us for capstone.
This is my second time taking a class with Dr. Chong. Will def take again if I can. 1 discussion, 1 case study and 1 test per week. Totally manageable and having the text is very helpful. Replies to emails quickly and gives you opportunity for extra credit. Do It!
Dr. Chong is the best professor I've had since transitioning to virtual classes. He clearly maps the entire semester so that you won't feel lost. He is super tech savvy and makes zoom classes simple and interesting. Participation is important and he will get you out of your comfort zone.
very organized professor
Professor Chong is honestly awesome. He treats everyone like their adults, and makes them work for their grade. If you put in the work, you will see the results. He replies in a timely manner. I would deff take him again.
Dr. Jehu Chong has by far been one of the most influential professors I've had! he challenges your mind to expand and trust me it will. The discussion and the applied assignments can be challenging but nothing to worry about too much. When emailing professor Chong he responds almost instantly. I would love to take another class with him again.
Prof Chong is one of the best in PBSC. Excellent communicator, makes you work, but you actually learn a lot.
Great professor, he definitely reads everything and gives you feedback on your work. The Long essay responses were not my favorite but I did enjoy the discussion posts, they're different from your basic post and respond.
Dr. Chong was the best online professor I have ever taken. I typically do not flourish with online courses but his expectations are made clear and he gives you a manageable amount of resources and work.
He's a great teacher. He responds quickly, offers great extra credit opportunities, gives clear instructions and grading criteria. He's pretty firm on due dates and you do have to do the work. But the subject is interesting and the assignments are straightforward. I would definitely take him again. He's really funny and he's accessible.
Class is four 1200 paper Assignments and weekly video discussion posts. 2/3 tests that are tough but not weighted too heavily. Stickler for format on assignments, so be careful! Overall Dr. Chong is great at responding to emails and leaving quality feedback. Take him for any class possible. Extra Credit is available and tests are randomly curved.
Great Professor, Take for any class possible. MAN3301 class is weekly assignment (300 word) weekly quiz and weekly discussion posts. discussion posts 20%, quizzes 40%, assignments 40% Extra credit is randomly offered and quizzes are sometimes randomly curved. Assignment format is more important than content so be careful!!!
Dr. Chong will tell you exactly what you need to do to pass his class. He provides fast feedback and he is available when you need him. Do the assignments, discussions, and tests and you will be fine. oh and watch his videos.
I am absolutely not a test taker - and these tests are unfortunately hard. But as stated by other students, the test are not weighted heavily. With all that being said, Dr. Chong is such a wonderful Professor. He cares about this topic and will make you feel inspired to work. He gives you extra credit opportunities that are enjoyable.
Professor Chong is very thorough. His class format is ideal, love the critical thinking discussions. His method used is very effective, very easy class!
Professor Chong was probably the best professor I had. He is a tough grader, super specific, but he makes you think and really put the effort in. He will help you out as much as possible. Super inspiring. DO NOT THINK YOU CAN PUT MINIMAL EFFORT IN AND THEN MAKE UP FOR IT LATER. IT WILL NOT WORK. He likes to engage as much as possible, hes awesome.
Overall I enjoyed this class and professor. However, he's not one of those professors that will give you an A for just simply turning in an assignment. But he does offer feedback and will tell you what you need to improve on to receive that A. Fast grader and provides opportunity for extra credit. Would definitely recommend!
Online classes can be very challenging as students can feel isolated. The professor provided opportunities to interact and informational videos. He responded to communication promptly. More importantly, assignments were graded in a timely manner with useful feedback provided.
I received an C in the class and i cannot blame the professor for my grade because he did warned us from the beginning of class. we put in garbage our grades would be garbage. He is an amazing professor and i am going to take him for the summer for GEB3375.
I took this professor and he was annoying, to tell the truth. When writing discussion responses it has to be 150 words or more. He want dialogue, the case stu is critical have to meet require like 3 or more resources or you fail assignment. And cannot do discussion and responses on the same day or it does not count. Besides that he is a-OK teacher.
Dr. Chong will make you learn. This is not an easy A, but you will get a lot out of the class. I took the class online and he was very responsive and encouraging, which helped me push through.
He was a great professor overall. I had him for an online course and each week for the chapters he assigned he would post a video with a lecture going over the material. There was about one chapter a week to do with a discussion board and responses, a quiz, and some reading. There were three tests and a quiz for each chapter. I am taking him again.
Be prepared to read the chapters. He doesn't assign a ton of work each week, it usually ranged from Discussion posts to 1200 essay's. Make sure you follow APA guidelines. He does provide some extra so do it if you can as the tests are hard.
Dr. Chong is real. He wants everyone to do well in his class but you must put in the work. He does not give out free grades and he give excellent feedback on everything. i will definitely sign up for his class again.
Professor Chong is tough. I do not recommend taking this class in the summer as it is condensed and he piles on the assignments. A lot of discussion essays with min of 2 replies each and the case studies, you must type your essays like mini papers with APA rules. Make sure you cite everything properly. research paper. No excuses for late- zero
This was a great class. I am taking this class in the summer and it was super fast but nothing I can't handle. I think it would have been easier if I would have taken it in the fall or spring. Either way, great prof and he really gives great feedback. I learned a lot in this class.
Great class, do the work you get the grade.
Good professor however, doesn't specify what is going to be on exams.
I highly recommend taking Professor Chongs class to any student because he genuinely cares about his students success. He always provides fast and constructive feedback. The course load is doable, and the global business project is a great way to learn about other cultures. Pay attention to his weekly announcements for extra credit. The best!
You do have to make an effort He gives extra credit Grades fairly and is always available Be prepared to do your best mediocre or barely making an effort will not work
Tough grader but more than fair.
Overall, a great semester.
He expects you to work hard and put effort in but is also very fair and really wants you to succeed. I found him to be very approachable and helpful to me. I would take another class from him in the future.
Best teacher at PBSC. Took him 2 semesters ago and did not hesitate to pick him again. Not the easiest class at all, he WANTS you to learn (and you will). He is a good grader and provides good feedback and genuinely wants you to succeed. Awesome teacher!!!
Dr. Chong gives good feedback and his expectations are reasonable.
Took his class online, he's straightforward with instructions and assignments due the work and keep up with the workload and you should not have a problem. There are self assessments, discussion boards, essay question papers, and exams.
Professor Chong is easily one of the best professors I have had at Palm Beach State College. Even though his class was 100% online (I hate online classes), he still provided us with the tools to succeed. Side note: The final project is 45% of your grade. If you put in the effort, he will give you the grade you deserve. Just do the work each week.
Online class a lot of readying.
Professor Chong is great. There are weekly video discussions due but he is a fair grader. Do the work and you will do good.
Makes you work for it, but had fun with the international project. I didnt love getting zeros for posting my discussions (and not responding to others) It made me not want to do it at all if I was getting a zero. But I sucked it up and got 40/70s instead.
Video lectures available, although course is online. Dr. Chongs expectations are clearly outlined, assignments stimulate thinking and enhance the desire to learn more! Respected, amazing lectures (never a dull moment), caring!
Dr. Chong provided excellent feedback and was available should you have any questions. Well prepared and thorough.
Class is 15% Discussion, 15% Assignments, 30% Midterm & Final, 10% weekly quizzes, and 30% research paper. Dr. Chong is very good at providing accurate feedback so that you can always succeed. He is a tough grader but fair and you can get 100% on assignments if you follow his advice/feedback. Great professor, great person.
The class was engaging and straight forward. There is a 250 words discussion post and 150 word response to 2 classmates per chapter, Chapter quizzes , case studies , class project , midterm and final. Extra credit is offered
Great Professor overall. Big research project but professors breaks it down into sections. Excellent communicator and takes his time to resonate with students. Highly recommend him, you will learn a lot of beneficial information.
Professor Chong will make you earn your grade. Despite his meticulous grading criteria he actually cares to educate you on the subject matter. This is one of the better online classes I have taken.
good professor, i will take him again.
He was overall a very good professor. He was very clear on his instructions and was available if you had any questions. He really helped me learn the material with the discussion questions. I definitely recommend
Dr. Chong is an excellent professor. I am already registered to take another of his class next semester. Hands down a great professor.
Lots of Homework. Lots of papers and assignments.
The class was cool, just do the work and you'll get the grade basically.
Professor Chong is really a good professor, his personality can be a little off putting at first but if you just give him a chance and look past his personality & do the work you'll be fine, he's not gonna "give" you anything, you have to work for it, do the work make it quality and you'll be fine!
This Professor could be a little more considerate as well as when emailing in to ask a question to gain more clarity on assignments this Professor comes off extremely short or sometimes ignores students. Its vital that this Professor understands that if it was not for students enrolling in classes he would not have a job so its always important t
Dr. Chong is incredible because he is so patient and dedicated to helping students improve. Following his directions is one way to guarantee success, participation is another. He is on the board for Capstone so who better to teach Capstone. Although he is strict and very direct, it is always with respect and he is open for questions and or comments
Most in-depth professor Ive ever had at this school. Truly cares about the performance of his students. Although he can grade hard, its because of the quality of work. This is not a class you can skate by in. Truly must work for your grade. Be prepared for video discussions as well. Overall, great guy at heart who cares for his students. ++++++
Quality matters. Provides feedback. Available for support. Stimulates critical thinking and ensures concepts are comprehended.
I took him for my Capstone. Overall, I enjoyed this course. He is a tough grader; however, he gives a lot of extra credit opportunities.
Professor requires you to write a 1200 ( 5 page) assignment with cover page and reference page in APA format. Use the tips the professor provides to help construct paper. The is one test for every 3-5 chapters . Also, extra credit opportunities are provided throughout the course use them! Professor Chong is very knowledgeable give him your best!
Professor Chong is a great educator. He provided constructive recommendation every step of the journey. His weekly videos are informative and also a source of motivation. He is engaging, accessible and provides timely feedback for each assignment. Dr. Chong is one of the better professors at PBSC.
In my opinion, Dr. Chong is one of the better professors at PBS. 1) He provided clear guidelines for assignments and ensure grading is completed within a week after submitting assignments. 2) He provides a weekly video with tips for success and words of motivation. 3) Extra credit options are available.
Dr. Chong might have been my toughest adversary in my schooling. He takes detail orientation & understanding of the material very seriously. Get ready to be challenged and ready to put your best foot forward. He is very knowledgeable ovides the needed tools to succeed. I would recommend him as a professor if you're one that likes earned wins.
Dr. Chong is a phenomenal instructor. He takes the time to record videos for announcements, gives feedback and answers (email/course message/phone) when you reach out. I highly recommend Dr. Chong!
Overall good.
He has been my favorite teacher for the Bachelors program. I wish I could have taken him for more than two classes. If I could tell you to take him for every class you can, I certainly would. I had the pleasure of taking him for a class last semester as well. He is great, his videos are always pleasant and I love his overall personality.
Prof Chong is Amazing! This is my 3rd time taking him, and I would take him again if this wasn't my last semester. He is clearly knowledgeable and knows what he expects from his students. He is a fair grader, and also offers multiple opportunities for extra credit. One of the best Prof hands down!
Dr. Chung was amazing. I would definitely take him again if it wasn't my last semester. He gave good feedback and provided many opportunities to earn extra credit. He is always available to answer questions.
TAKE HIM! Few papers, lots of meaningful discussions, tough tests but ample extra credit opportunities that will help the grade. I didn't use the book much but was useful at times.
Cares about you, lots of extra credit, still have to work hard for your grades though. He will give extensive feedback if you ask. He is very available through phone or email. Actually wants you to learn something and keep in mind discussions should be unique and not repetitive.
professor provides great feedback in a timely manner
Up to 6% extra credit available throughout the semester. The entire class is one group project and 2/3 tests and a half dozen discussion boards. Teacher gives fast and useful feedback. It's evident he cares about students and wants you to succeed in his class. The one thing though is that he is a stickler for APA format so watch out!
This professor offers a variety of assignments to apply what you've learned in each lesson through the interaction+ engagement of your other peers, as well as individual projects. He cares about the success of his students,+ is easily accessible for any questions. He also engages w/his students+provides valuable resources+info outside the classroom
I took Dr. Chong two semesters in a row. His online class was very straight forward and paced appropriately. He is very particular with his assignments so read directions very carefully.
Dr. Chong is amazing. You have to be willing to put in effort in order to pass his class which I think is great being that nowadays many other professors do not care about their students. He does and that is amazing! I wish I would have taken him before. But I am grateful he gave me the CAPSTONE EXPERIENCE!
You work for your grades but overall good professor.
Dr Chong, was a great teacher, very organized, and willing to work with you, to help you reach your full Potential. It was an honor to have again as my instructor.
This is a honest review of my semester with Dr. Chong. He is a great professor and really helps his students succeed. I have taken him twice throughout college and have enjoyed both classes. The course load is not more than usual but he expects you to put the work in to succeed. He gives honest feedback and replies to his emails fast.
Discussion, assignment and a test is due every week. He is a tough grader. Discussion and replies have to be on different days which is frustrating.
Dr. Chong is very passionate about his work. He is very prompt and meticulous. He wants his students to succeed and makes the path very clear through the way he organizes the course. He likes efforts, energy and participation. In my opinion, any student who has him as professor, has a lot to take away from the course.
Dr Chong is a great teacher. He is very specific and very present. He does require reading and answering discussion questions and case studies are due almost every week. But, he's super present, super accessible and he provides several extra credit opportunities throughout the semester that are actually pretty interesting to do.
The online class is like many others. Very generic with the professor not putting their stamp on the class. Just read and do assignments and you will pass.
Great professor. Took him before this class and he was a great professor then, great professor now. You definitely want to take him for capstone. Gives great feedback and only wants the best for you. Very caring!!!
Great professor overall. You do need to work for your grade, but he provides very helpful feedback and offers some extra credit periodically throughout the semester. There are few assignments, so you must focus and try on those assignments to make the grades count.
Follow directions and APA format and you will do fine. Grades quickly. This class you had to record yourself in a 3-5 min video of the weekly discussion and post it for the class so that was new and a little uncomfortable at first.
You will need to purchase or rent the textbook for this class as it is an online class. He is a fair teacher, just follow his guideline and you will do just fine . He wants his students to succeed and to be the best students that they can be. For the test, he provides a study guide. I will definitely take another class with him and he is amazing!
Respectful, organized and inspirational. He really helps you challenge yourself to do and become your best. Capstone was great thanks to his breakdown and organization. Follow his recommendations always.
Dr. Chong is a great professor. He really cares about his students. He expects you to do the work, if you do the work you cant fail. Do the practice quizzes, they help a lot. Each week there is a discussion, chapter summary assignment, and chapter test. He gives extra credit, do them!!! Highly recommend taking any course that he teach.
Dr. Chong is a terrific professor. He is a tough grader, so be prepared to be very thorough with you homework assignments and make sure everything is in your own words or he will know. You can tell that he really does care about his students and wants them all to succeed and do well. He offers a few extra credit assignments as well. He is great!
Great Professor, lots of writing
He really helps you figure out what other professors like himself want in their work. He makes it easy if you follow directions to the T. I was not sure at first but I progressed in my work and discussed some really cool TEDtalks throughout some of the lesson assignments that I felt were most relatable to current events.
Do your best and you will be fine.
Do the work, all of it, and you will pass the class.
Dr. Chong scared me my first week lol but soon I realized how great he was. Very organized, and to the point. I passed his class with an A and learned a ton! Take him you wont regret it. I have him this semester as well. Tried to take him for capstone but ha classes get full quickly!
Do the work on time and follow the instructions and you will pass the work. Tests are more difficult, but there is a fair amount of extra credit available.
Turn every assignment in on time and up to the standards required and you will pass. Tests are difficult but he does have extra credit opportunities.
He is a good professor but does not grade easily. Be ready to learn his type of grading in the first few assignments, after that it's pretty much making sure you are always putting in effort. He will see if you are not. He offered extra credit and had one discussion free b and it was a nice surprise.
Read/Listen carefully to all instructions and follow them completely. If you miss any steps you will be marked off. He is very clear on his expectations. Meet them and you will do fine. Test are hard and there isn't any type of review so you have to really read the chapter fully. Extra credit is applied to test score so do it. It makes a difference
One of the best professors at the school! He actually puts time, effort, and care into his job and pushes you to do your best. Not an easy A, but put in the work and it will pay off. Offers extra credit, is very caring about student's success, gives great/timely feedback, answers questions and helps when you show effort. Had 2 classes w him *great*
Dr. Chong expect all students to put their part. Capstone is a group project, so working with other students and planning a schedule is important. Post your discussions on time and meet the 3-5 minute video and 250 words response requirements. Study for the tests and the peregrine. Take each chapter at a time as it does get overwhelming.
Dr. Chong is one of the best professors PBSC has to offer. Not only is he super knowledgeable, he cares for his student. This does not mean he takes it easy on you, he expects you to work and put in the effort. This is significant as a leader. If you are a capstone student, he expects the best from you because you are almost at the finish line.
Very supportive. Took him numerous times, If you do the work you will pass.
This class was not easy by any means. Decent amount of writing but great class overall.
This class is one where you must do a lot of reading on your own regardless of who your professor is. If English is not your first language and you are afraid that you will fail, do not worry, you'll be fine. Exams are made from the book material, but he uses concept learning which is not only learning the material but being able to apply it.
Be prepared to work! Dr. Chong is extremely fair and want to see each student succeed. Do all the assignments correctly and you will pass the class. For the group project. Don't wait last minute to submit each chapter.
Dr. Chong is a very fair grader. Our initial discussions used Kaltura or YouTube so be prepared.
Dr. Chong, is an amazing professor, answers all your messages on time, not many quizzes but a video report every week which is different then other classes for me. I would take any of his classes.
Professor Chong was upfront about his grading practices and expectations. Good feedback on how to improve. This course was taken completely online so commitment to reading the text and reviewing material was very important. Professor Chong incorporated video posts as a means to present student discussion work. Would take this professor again.
Dr. Chong is a great professor. He IS a tough grader and dishes a lot of tough love out but he wants to make his students are better than when they came in. He is strict about not taking late assignments so make sure you turn in on time. Other than that he does give you the resources to succeed and helps if you reach out.
He is a tough grader when it comes down to the APA assignments. The APA essay are actually easy to do if you just read the chapter. There are weekly video discussions & yes you have to record yourself! He is always available if you have any questions. Other students complain about how rude he was when he responded back, but I never had that issue.
He was a tough grader but also gave a very clear grading rubric for nearly every assignment. He is very easy to reach and always gave valuable feedback. It was the most immersive and worthwhile online class I've ever taken.
Professor is a tough grader, and if you do not do the assignment exactly the way he wants, he will give you a 0, even if it was submitted on time. He is accessible and will answer emails and calls but he can be rude at times and discouraging.
Very energetic. Very good class that had good explanations of the concepts.
Great Professor!!!
Not an easy A but if you apply yourself and follow directions you will succeed. Gives fewer assignments than other professors but expects excellent work. Discussion videos weekly, 4 written assignments, 4 or 5 tests.
Professor Chong did a great job with MAN3240 online. His sets his criteria for his grading and as long as you follow the criteria you will do well in this class. Be prepared to write. Tests will require studying. Extra credit does become available as extra work..do it. It will be useful. I would Highly recommend this professor.
Honestly, Dr. Chong is an excellent professor. You have to study, read, and pay attention to what he says. He does give good feedback. The best advise I can give you is to study, read, and listen to his feedback. Be relatable and honest in your writing assignments and discussions. I've learned a lot in his class, and yes I would take him again.
This is my 3rd class with Prof. Chong & that's on purpose. He's really straightforward about expectations and he is very fair. This class had less homework than my other classes with him. I feel like with the reading and his posted lectures and assignments, I learned at a comfortable and healthy pace. I enjoyed this class very much.
Great professor that cares more about growth than set standards. If you're in for the work you'll do well.
Great professor, It is a hard class for me, but if you spend your time, you will get a good grade
Professor can be rude, pay attention to assignments and due dates. study hard for tests. I liked that he used the rubric because it explained the purpose of the assignment grade. Very particular about the APA assignments. He gives necessary feedback to improve. I did learn a lot in this class. will not take him again
While the course was kinda difficult, it is something that you have to study and participate to receive a good grade. Overall, a tough professor with the course but is willing to work with you if you put effort into it.
I would definitely recommend Dr. Chong for the Capstone course. He gives great feedback and really tries his best to help everyone succeed. He really does care. Only 2 checkpoint quizzes about 4 discussions. and one long research paper with a presentation done in groups. He is amazing and super knowledgable.
Professor Chong clearly stated the expectations for this class. Do the work and you will receive an A. This was my second class with professor Chong and if there were other classes I needed that were taught by him, I would absolutely take his class again! Highly recommend!!!
This class was very aggravating for me. ENTIRELY TOO METICULOUS! There are some teaching styles that work for me better than others, THIS TEACHER'S STYLE IS NOT INTRIGUING. The material is already very boring and the teaching style could also be very dry.
Do the work & you will get a good grade. The discussions questions are require to be responded in a video format of 3-5min and every 2 Chapter you will have to respond to 4 questions with at 15-25min video. Test are 20 questions, midterm and final are 50 questions (75min). There is not a lot of work in his class (from 1or 3 assigments x module)
Dr. Chong clearly states the expectations for this class. If you read the instructions, watch his weekly announcement videos, and do the work, you will receive an A. This was my first class with Dr. Chong, and I would absolutely take one of his classes again if possible! I highly recommend!!
Dr. Chong does not overwhelm you with work or reading, grades in a timely fashion, and responds quickly to emails with questions/issues; there were a handful of writing assignments throughout the course and video discussions and reflection and analysis to do. I enjoyed the course and would take him again
Professor Chong was very difficult in the beginning of the semester but once you learn the way he does things and how he grades the class gets easier. The discussions are video discussions and there is an assignment every two weeks which is a 15 min video response so be aware.
I was a little nervous at first because the semester started out and seemed like it was going to be a lot of work, but once you realize how Dr. Chong likes things, the class is really quite enjoyable. He does a lot of different assignment types (video discussions, video assignments, etc). I enjoyed the class and learned a lot. Would take again.
You'll need to understand this professor's expectations on how to do assignments. Each week consists of either a discussion video (3-5min / 15-20min), with 500-word replies to another person's video, or a five-page paper, along with a few tests. I didn't purchase the book. Turn in things before Saturday, and watch the announcements (sometimes EC).
As long as you follow the grading rubric for each assignment you will get a good grade, also Dr. Chong is very tough on APA format.
Overall happy with professor. Learned a great deal and would take his class again.
Follow the directions for each assignment or he will deduct points. Resume, cover letter, and interview projects
I didn't care for the 7 page apa papers but Dr. Chong was very fair on feedback and breaks it down to where you can understand. Great professor Highly recommend
The professor is professional, respectful, and made communication easy. However, there were a few things that were graded and there was not much of explaining of each topic. The textbook was needed for the checkpoint quizzes in this human resource management class which was easy if you do the self assignment quizzes. Overall, professor is good.
He is a great professor. Highly recommended.
He is an ok professor. Do your work you'll be fine.
Professor Chong is a good professor, he is very knowledgeable in his topics. He is very tough on his APA grading on essays, you will do fine if you read the book and make sure to study almost each aspect of the chapters as they can be on the test. He has a few extra credit every now and then so be sure to read the announcements thoroughly.
Professor Chong is very realistic! His course made me a better student and was very informative. If you follow instructions and do your work, you will pass. He responds to emails quickly and gives you feedback to grow as a person overall. I would definitely take another one of his courses!
This was an online course, I hate online classes! Not sure what my grade will be, either a "B" or "C" I am sure. But it was not based on difficulty of the class, the professor but rather myself. Take his classes, it is really not that difficult, but pay attention to the homework and do it all! I really hope I get to take him for my Capstone.
Dr. Chong is a great professor, not much of a tough grader as long as you get the assignment done on time and correct you will do well. Don't Hesitate to take him!
This professor was good for the Human Resource class not that much to do but the assignments was time consuming if you do your work on time and follow his instructions you will pass .
Professor Chong is an amazing person who cares about his students. He gives great feedback and grades fairly. I enjoy taking his class, however the only drawback are those video discussions. Will recommend him to others and take more classes with him.
For the assignments follow his instructions to the T, otherwise, he will take points off. He will give you assignments that will help you in real-life scenarios. He is a great professor, just read the chapters and you will pass the quizzes. Dr. Chong gives lots of feedback which is great.
The professor always has an announcement at the beginning the week to tell you about your learning objectives and the assignment due for this week's lesson. He also provides a lecture but it's essential to read the chapters associated with the lecture in order to be successful in completing the assignment.
Great Professor who gives meaningful feedback. I would definitely take a course with Dr. Chong again. Make sure to follow the instructions and view the rubrics for each assignment; if you do all of that, you should do great in this course.
I really enjoyed taking this class. There are so many helpful assignments that will prepare you for your future. View all the assignment rubrics since you will be graded exactly on what is listed there. I would definitely take again!
Professor chong is a very good professor. But sometimes it so hard to pass his class.
Dr. Chong is an excellent professor. I would take him again. Be ready to read the textbook and be sure to read all of his announcements. Pay attention to what he requires for each assignment, and you will pass his class. He gives great feedback as well.
Dr. Chong response very quick and gives great feedback and clarification.
Read His instructions well and pay attentions to the announcements. He is great!
Professor Chong was a great overall professor! He was very clear on what was expected and often communicated with. The assignments are really interesting and the peer reviews gives you a chance interact with peers. Watch the lectures and go over the book for exams and make sure your computer doesn't act up.
I will say this Dr. Chong is a great professor however the most important thing for his classes it to pay attention to detail for his assignment requirements. He is very strict about his policies for grading follow them and the rubric and you should be good to go!
Professor Chong clearly outlined his expectations on all assignments. There was one discussion most weeks and tests every 5 weeks. If you complete the optional weekly quizzes, the tests will be very easy as they are exactly the same. A couple of projects, only real complaint was having to complete the interview project twice.
Professor Chong is a very particular man who likes you to read every detail of each assignment and if you miss a step you will get points off or sometimes no credit. If you do assignments correctly and read you will do well in the course.
He is a very nice professor and his grades are fair. I like that he does things using video as his assessment but I have a problem with Kalture when it not work I love the course I am not a test taker, but I try his test as everyone has said is not hard, all you have to do is study the assessment at the back of every chapter and you will do fine.
Dr. Chong is a tough grader but very informative and a great Professor. You will for a fact learn in his class and improve more and more. All you have to do is complete your is study and complete your assignments, you will be fine.
Professor Chong imparts valuable information during his courses. However, if you enroll in his class, it is crucial to pay close attention to all rubrics and meticulously follow instructions. Despite his strict grading standards, he provides honest feedback that can greatly contribute to your academic growth.
Dr. Chong is a great professor, and his online class is set up very well. He is particular about his assignments and will deduct points if the rubric is not followed. As long as you pay attention to all the grading criteria, you will do fine. He grades quickly and responds in a timely manner. Also, pay attention to the course announcements!!!
Dr. Chong can be a tad annoying with his grading an assignments, but in his defense he tells you everything straight up, gives you time to do it, and gives very clear instructions. When you don't do exactly what the rubric says you'll know. As long as you do the work, turn it in on time, and follow the rubric he's a good teacher.. I'd recommend.
Dr. Chong Is a very hard grader, however, I think I also learned a lot from his feedback so I could improve each assignment. I would take other classes he teaches because I actually learned from him.
He was great, tough grader and takes a while to respond back to you. Does not take late work.
Great professor overall. There is reading that does comes along with this class. I have taken this professor a few times with other classes. As long you do the work and on time you should be good.
He was a good professor, however the workload was quite heavy and the grading was tough. If you try though you will pass the class no promblem.
Professor is to the point, get ready to read that will save you
This class was great. The teacher sets clear criteria, he is beyond efficient and is well versed on Canvas. The assignments were engaging &simulated toward real life, the tests were sparse. The point value of all the assignments was beyond fair. He is quick at responding too!
I took this class online; it might be a bit different than how it is in person. The videos Professor Chong uploads are helpful if you are already reading the information in the book. To do well in this class, you must score well on the DBQs and Discussion analysis questions. Read the book!! He might take a while to email back so keep that in mind.
This was my first class of his and would prefer to not take him again. He is exceptionally picky and wordy with assignments. Examples, links, and directions are provided, but you must read and re-read the fine print or lecture videos to get that one piece of information needed in order to receive credit on the assignment. Attention to detail!
Highly Recommend this professor! Very Important to stay on top of your assignments due but overall reasonable grader, was worried about taking an online course for this class but Dr. Chong made it easy as long as you put in the work you will be fine! If I could take him for another course I definitely would!!!! Very clear instructions.
Great at responding to messages.
Professor Chong is great and responds in a timely manner! Do your best! Would take him again.
Look into this professor if you're looking, he is a true scholar.
Dr. Chong is an awesome professor, if you want to learn you should definitely take his class.
The professor was great! He really was generous so if you need anything through the course, communication goes a long way. There are a lot of heavy assignments so be cautious about his assignment policies because it is easy to get a zero. The textbook is absolutely required, he uses a lecture but refers to the textbook directly.
Dr. Chong is a great teacher who clearly states the course outcomes at the beginning of the semester. He gives detailed instructions for all assignments that should be followed to a T. He gives a lot of extra credit opportunities and prompt feedback to help you excel throughout the course!
Although Dr. Chong is very strict on deadlines, he is a great professor and likes when students read and pay attention to announcements to get the assignments done the way he recommends. If you are disciplined, you will enjoy having him as your professor, and I will recommend him to any student who wants to excel in MAN3301.
Gives good feedback and is quick to grade assignments. Allows opportunity for extra credit if you pay attention to course announcements.
Professor Chong was great. I will be taking another class with him soon. He is a tough grader but stick to the rubric and follow all instructions and should be able to get a good grade. He also grades quickly and provides great feedback. 4 Quizzes in the semester (all from the assessments at the end of each module), and 3 major projects.
Be prepared to write 1200 word APA essays every other week; he follows strict APA guidelines. 3 tests all consist of about 5 chap. No study guide provided. He is fair and will give you time to complete assignments as long as you communicate. Do all of you work and you can pass the class. Also there are 15-25 min vid discussions.
Great professor and gives great feedback. Also, he grades the assignments quickly and give an opportunity to earn extra credit. I would definitely take him again.
Lots of writing for higher-level classes. 1400+ word essays every week and 15-minute recording videos, so beware.
He gives unnecessarily long discussions and assignments. Discussions are on video and you have to reply with 250 words to 2 different people. He deducts points for the smallest things especially if things aren't slightly to his preferences regardless of how much work or accuracy is in your work. Wouldn't recommend him if you take multiple classes.
Dr. Chong is a great professor. He wants all his students do be great.
Dr. Chong is meticulous with his instruction. Make sure to pay attention to weekly announcements and follow instructions and you should do well in his class. There are video recordings that will be required of you. As long as you hit the specified times and make sense you should be good. I will definitely take him again if the opportunity arises.
The professor is a tough professor. He does hold you to the highest standard which at times is not what we would like. His grading is tough. He requires alot of videos and I wrote at least 4 (1200 word papers).
Get ready to take videos of yourself responding to prompts and post them on the discussion thread. There's also a 15-25 minute video analysis that is due every other week. And lastly, 7-page essays.
Dr. Chong seems to be fair and he responds to messages rather quickly. The expectations are clear. If you complete the required assignments on time and with integrity, you will not have a problem in this class.
The course agenda is clear. The assignments are easy. No quizes, 3 exams, 2 opportunities for extra credit. Responds to emails within a timely manner. I will say this, he is tech saavy, do not attempt to cheat. Several classmates used AI for part of their assignments and he caught them.
You will pass if you do the work exactly how he asks. He's very nit picky. Usually grades and responds to emails in timely manner. Be prepared to stay on camera for this class, all discussions are videos and there are several video analysis. 5 page papers almost every other week .. with a week given to complete them.
The class was online. At first, it was a bit hard and discouraging as his grades were tough, but the class became easy over time and I am passing with a B. It was easy after all. He gives 1 or 2 assignments every week, and 3 quizzes totak which were through the lockdown browser.
Professor Chong responded to my emails quickly. Everything was clearly described and I enjoyed the class in it's totality. The assignments where I needed to talk into a cam for 15 minutes were daunting to me initially, but I was surprised with how much they helped me to improve my public speaking and my mannerisms. I would take his classes again.
Clearly states what he expects & gives good instruction. Lots of projects & peer reviews, but they are easy to navigate. Self assessments clearly reflect the test material, and as long as you read the rubrics and meet the deadlines he sets you will easily pass the course. He answers emails quickly and provides good clear feedback for assignments.
I took him for organization theory, overall a really simple class with15 assignments for the whole semester. Discussions and reflections are done by video recording. As long as you follow the time and give real life examples you will get a 100. Theres three 7 page essays make sure you follow level 1-2 headings. Offers extra credit.
Overall Professor Chong is good. There are about 15 assignments throughout the course. Pay very close attention to the instructions on each assignment as they play a very large role in the way he grades. Discussions and reflections are done by video recording. Follow the time and give real-life examples you will get an A on each of those.
You will have 15 assignments for the whole semester. Discussions and reflections are done by video recording. 3 long assignments/ 1200 words each. offers 2 extra credits so make sure you follow the class announcements to know when you have the extra credit assignments. Professor Chong responds really fast to all emails.
Gives excellent feedback on assignments. Grading criteria is very clear, you should get an A as long as you follow directions with your post discussions and APA formatting for each paper. Also very important to go through your class announcements, that is where the extra credit usually comes in handy.
very hard grader and will give you ZERO so be prepared
Very tough professor and a hard grader. I respect his push to have his students do well but at times it was a bit extreme in my opinion. He does respond in a decent amount of time. He offers extra credit so always listen to his announcements. Many 1200-word essays and 15-minute videos to create often. This was definitely a challenging class.
You must follow all directions perfectly, with no exceptions. He grades academically, not professionally, based on content. Recorded fake interview assignments are a bit too much. The discussion posts are video recordings, which also seem a bit much. Overall, I think this is an easy course modified to be more difficult.
This professor is a hard grader, but I think he is fair as long as you follow the instructions to the T. He responded quickly when ever I sent him msgs. pros to this class you basically only have one assignment per week. cons, you have to make 15min video speeches and a few 1200 papers. All in all, It is not the easiest but also not the worst class
Gave very clear instructions and grading criteria. Graded assignments promptly and easy to reach out to. Make sure you submit assignments on time otherwise will be given a zero.
The details about how to turn in assignments were annoying. He grades on whether you follow the rules more than how well you do the work. I am not complaining because I would receive high scores for that. I've taken Professor Chong several times; I would say that this class is heavy at first but then fun toward the end. Plus, Kaltura was TERRIBLE.
Worse Professor i have ever taking.
Dr. Chong is a fantastic professor. His name holds weight within the program. He has very concise instructions and clear grading criteria that make any grade you receive feel earned. He can be very meticulous and detail oriented but it truly makes you a better student. If you care about actually learning about the subject, then take Dr. Chong.
very tough grader but if you do the work EXACTLY how he asks you will do fine
This is a demanding class, but if you stay on top of the assignments and use tools like unstuckstudy ai for study prep, you can succeed. The professor is tough but fair - just make sure to follow instructions carefully.
DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR every assignment is turning in self made videos that go up to even 40 minutes of talking...every discussion is a video that you have to make talking about the prompts. Tough grader as well and overrall just a headache to deal with.
