Hot teacher and good to look at, but the class is far too demanding and the tests, though not too hard, are unfairly long and the material on it seems to come out of nowhere. The writing assigments are also too much.

She teaches film like a literature class, which makes you think! I think she's a good teacher, knows her material, and her class is easy if you talk to her about your grades because she is very helpful

Literature isn't exactly an easy subject for me since I am more into science, but she was helpful, and I was able to get a good grade in the course.

Literature is not the easiest to understand and she did a very good job helping me understand the material. I took her class in lecture and she let you use the book on some tests. She tells you the important info for all the units. I would recommend taking her class!

She assigns a lot of work...keep up with your portfolio and don't get behind, otherwise the class will be more difficult than it should be. She does have in-class grades that can't be made up. I turned my all of my papers in on time, got an A.

Ms Richraft is a hard teacher but is willing to help if asked. The 8 week internet class was very difficult but Ms. Richraft made it bearable.

Prof. Richrath made Eng 110 fun! There was a lot of writing, but if you ever needed help clarifying something, she was always there. Just keep track of your papers in your portfolio and take your corrections seriously. She is very fair in her grading! Great teacher! relates to students well!

Jen is one of my top 3 favorite teachers during the two years I've been at ICC. I regret that I was unable to take any more of her classes after my freshman year. She's personalbe and makes a point to say "hi" when I see her in the halls(over a year since I've had a class from her. And, yes, even if you don't like Lit, she's stunning eyecandy.

Jen is an excellent teacher! She doesnt bore you with unneccesary information. She is always willing to help, and is very personable. Her class is very discussion based! I would reccommend taking her for every class you can! She is an awesome teacher!

Very easy class. First online course I took and loved it!

Awesome teacher! Always says hi when she sees you. Very helpful and funny. Pretty cute thing to look at. its been about 3 years since i had her, but she stills says hi out on the town and asks how life is. I highly suggest taking her.

very enjoyable class made poetry interesting and class discussions were always lively.

I took both of her classes outside of ICC/ The first one eng 110 I received a B and the film class I also received a B. She was easy and the material was self explanatory., I would take her again.

Professor Richrath is a great teacher. I haven't been in any type of English class for 12 years and Professor Richrath helped me ease my fears about writing essays. I would highly recommend her to future English 110 students!!!

She was a very helpful teahcer. I was not so sure on my writing and she helped me past that. She is hilarious. Everything is fun in her class.For her final we ate donuts and left.

I took the course online. It was time consuming, but I got an A with a bit of effort. Great teacher! More than willing to help and doesn't make you feel like an idiot--even for those of us that graduated high school 20+ years ago! My only complaint was that she was rather slow in grading papers. I also took her for Film 110 online.

I took this class on-line, and I wish I wouldn't have. With the on-line course we were required to meet with the teacher at least twice during the semester. I took this online during the summer and glad I got thru it.It just sucked b/c it was over the summer and so I had to read the material super fast,which LIT isnt that interestn to me.U have discussion boards every week, tests are EASY,2 papers,and 1 group assignmnt,definitely worth takin online so u don't have to sit thru class!! highly reconmend!!

She is a very friendly teacher. The class was pretty easy even if you don't know anything about movies going into it. We only watched a couple of films in class that I found boring. The tests were fairly easy. They started as multiple choice and transitioned to an essay test at the end of the year. The projects and writings were few and easy.

PROF. R IS A GREAT TEACHER. I TOOK HER FILM 110 ONLINE. OF COURSE YOU HAVE TO PUT SOME EFFORT INTO THE CLASS BUT IT ISN'T DIFFICULT AT ALL. SHE IS A GREAT TEACHER AND WOULD RECOMMEND HER TO ANYONE.

I took this class online. I didn't know anything about film and passed with an A. If you take this thinking you won't have to do anything but watch movies, then you'll be in for suprise. If you just DO the work, you'll do fine. It's not an "easy A" class. You actually have to think!! After all this is college!

I took on online Film 110 class with her and She was great. A teacher with a sense of humor too! Her class is not easy but not too hard either. Great Teacher!

Professor Richrath is great! If you follow her instructions and the syllabus requirements, you will do well. She explains things very well, and if you don't understand just ask her.

I took her online summer class. What a ride. You had better be ready to keep up. She was fun, fair and attentive. My only complaint was that she moved up assignment due dates without notice. summer class already too condensed for me, but I got the A (She was gracious). She was way cool and very encouraging.

Team taught with Prof Vance. Material evenly divided, but averaged an A with Richrath and a C with Vance. It was a semester of frustration. Richrath was great; very helpful and expecting freshman level work for a freshman level course.

Prof. Richrath's lecture style makes class informative but also inter-active. There was a lot of discussion, and the material was interesting. It was a good experience...

Amazing English teacher. She's super nice and extremely helpful. Goes over every paper with every student before it's due to help you out, making the writing lab essentially unnesessary. As long as you turn in all your papers and keep them for the end of the semester you'll pass with flying colors.

Dont let anyone fool you this class isnt the easiest but if you study the material given you will do fine. The Midterm was long but you get to use your notes!! And the first paper sucked but it was Richraths (Margo Vance). TWO papers, TWO test (Midterm & Final), and a few mini assignments.. thats it.

I mean't to say the 1st paper IS NOT Richraths its Margo Vances which sucks! But Richrath is nice and funny while Margo Vance is hard and not always the nicest.

This class was fun for a Minimester. You do have lots to do but she is a wonderful grader and a excellent teacher. Get ready to watch a lot of movies of all kinds.

I just finished a mini-mester in film 110 with her. She is awesome and fun! The course was intense with homework and essays but do-able. We watched a full film everyday. The course was really interesting! The first test is alot of memorization, the rest essay based. You cant go wrong taking her class! She is so neat!!!!

She was by far the best teacher, most helpful and genuine.

Richrath is a wonderful person and her lectures are clear and concise. She chose excellent movies for the class to critique and made the minimester truly enjoyable for me. Thanks!

Ms. Richrath is awesome. She's young so I think that helps in terms of putting herself at our level. Good with class discussions. Fun/funny, very thorough in directions. Understanding & good with allowing makeups.

Prof. Richrath is a great teacher! She is fair & friendly,teaches clearly, gives reviews & study guides on blackboard, and lets you use all notes on the Midterm & Final. Grade in class is homework, Midterm, Final, & 2 papers. Class is co-taught with Prof. Vance, who is very difficult! We also watched 2 R-rated movies in class,a poor choice I think.

Her class wasn't super easy, you had to work for it. But it wasn't something that was out of reach. She's just friendly and helpful all around. I'd high recommend her if you want a good teacher you can learn from.

Great teacher very helpful the class is pretty easy as long as you do your reading. I would truly recommend her to any one that is taking Film 110 there is not a bunch of writing pretty easy I would say and she is really easy on the eyes. haha

awesome! she actually read through all of a few of my papers before turning them in and gave me tips on editing them. not a lot of other teachers would do that. if you have any questions all you have to do is go and ask her. she responds to emails quickly which i found to be a plus. she is funny and helpful which made writing easier to accomplish.

Great teacher! Hard and lots of work but expectations are spelled out completely. If you do what is required you will get an A. Make sure you read the book! Lots of discussion board posts. Very kind, fun, and understanding. I took this online and it worked well with my schedule.

Took this class online. 4 units. Each unit includes chapter quizzes, 1 written assignment,2-3 movies you must watch, weekly mandatory discussions on bb, & 1 unit exam. She provides power points for each unit too. Also 1 group project. Simple & straight forward class.

I would recommend her. I emailed questions and got really quick responses. The class readings were interesting and some of the assignments were even fun. It was work but a good class overall.

Took her film class and enjoyed every bit of it. I'm not big on watching movies but I really enjoyed every aspect of this course. Only 4 exams including the final which you can opt out of if you have an "A" or a "B" prior to the final exam day. 2 projects and one paper. She explains everything well. Great professor!

I took this online over the summer it was an easy enough class.. but don't plan on getting your grades back for weeks at at time. She's pretty helpful if you just ask the questions. Overall, I would recommend.

This wasn't my favorite course, but it was a learning experience. You really have to investigate you teacher's online blackboard site before starting the class. Every online course is going to be a little bit vague, but once you learn about what your professor wants, it will become somewhat easier.

She was very helpful and very involved with her students! Despite being an online course, she tries to simulate a real college environment through her discussion boards. You have to watch about 12 or more films in the semester, so be aware!

She is excellent! be sure to attend class, open hand written note test, one paper and one presentation that is in the place of the final.

Overall a very good teacher. She did have lots of busy work with many discussion boards and small assignments that took time but nothing was overly difficult. Had us watch interesting films that helped us understand concepts from the class and the films were enjoyable overall. She was a very good grader as well and gave you what you deserved.

Easy online class...I managed to not read anything at all, had my book for every test and had plenty of time to look the questions up. You get 1.5 hours for 25 questions and a few essay. The quizzes are kind of hard, 5-10 minutes for 10 questions. She gives you a study guide that follows quizzes word for word mostly. Shes big on discussion boards.

Very great teacher! If you follow instructions, which are very clear, and syllabus, you will do great! Extremely helpful! If you need help with anything, she will help! Reviews and tells you what you did wrong on papers and gives pointers for the next! You must work for your grade! You want her as a teacher!!!

She cares about her students and will give you good grades if you deserve them. Nothing in this class was that difficult and she was good at clarifying what she wanted. The only thing I didn't like was the amount of small side assignments that we had. There were lots of discussion boards that were not difficult but took lots of time to complete.

She is an awesome teacher! Her class is very straight forward in what she expects from you. This class alternates between weeks. One week will be a lecture day and the other will be a movie watching day. She is nice and very helpful if you need to get your grade up. I would recommend taking this class to anyone who still needs a fine arts credit.

Jen is an awesome teacher! Lit 110 is a very basic gen ed class. I took it online and got an easy A. Make sure you participate in the discussion board, read the stories, and write all of the papers. Participation matters but this class is not difficult. Make sure you actually read the stories! The test questions are specific. Highly recommended!

Professor Richrath has been one of my favorites! I wasn't particularity interested in the class but she made it fun and interesting! Homework isn't difficult at all and grading is straightforward. I didn't always make it to class but she was super helpful when I had to miss. Great with communicating-just email or stop by her office hours. A++ :)

Extremely genuine! Highly recommend! Especially for first year college students. Has a very smart way of letting you be an independent student but providing enough to not take up all of class time lecturing. She still notices me and briefly speaks to me in the halls a year after. That says a lot about noticing and caring for students!

She's the coolest professor. You watch a film on the first day and then every other time you meet. So it's lecture one day, and a movie the next. The first two tests are the most difficult but not too bad. There's a group project and a project on a specific director. Also there's one paper. Some tests are essay based. Shows good films, nothing dry.

Good instructor. Also willing to answer questions. Don't really need the book. Anything related to course can easily be found online. You write 5 papers. There are in class assignments that are easy. A couple quizes that you do online which aren't that bad. Other than having to write 5 papers the class isn't bad. No Final!

Highly recommended! Lecture every two weeks with a film shown between. The work for the class itself is easy, as long as you pay attention the lectures and apply it to the films you watch it's an easy A. Films itself were enjoyable, didn't have any that were hard to watch. She's always willing to help if you have any confusion with the class.

Loved this teacher. She was one of the best I've had. Makes Comp enjoyable. if your thinking about a teacher and her class works in your schedule, then I would recommend.

Before this class, I didn't realize how much went into filmmaking! The expectations are clear, and she will answer any questions you have at any hour of the day. If you're willing to do the reading and attend class, you'll enjoy the experience.

I loved Prof. Richrath! I took her for a four week class and she was extremely timely about getting our papers back to us before the next one was due so that we could have her input to improve our papers. She was prompt in responding to emailed questions and was very clear about deadlines and expectations. Would definitely take her again!

She's very nice, extremely helpful, and gives you tons of time for in-class writing, making it super easy to know you're doing the right things. You'll get an easy A if you're asking for help when you're unsure of grammar or how to word things. Just do the work and TRY. Class is sup. intrstg

I took this online so it wasn't too bad. Professor Richrath answered any emails pretty quickly. She did take a while to grade things it would take a couple weeks to get back tests or papers. Interesting class though if you like the arts and the more recent history of them

Richrath was engaging and took time to invest in her students. She made lectures entertaining and was understanding of other commitments. Very personable and likeable.

Great Teacher, great class. One of the most kind and understanding teachers I have had. She clearly did not let students walk over her and take advantage of her loose and fun classroom but when trouble came up she was more then willing to find a way to make it work!

Professor Richrath was amazing this semester! I had her for both ENGL110 Online and FILM110 and she was great for both! Not much homework or tests. Very accessible, caring, helpful, and flexible. DEFINITELY would take her again and would recommend! Always tries to make lectures interesting and was always prepared for class. Take her if you can!

Professor Richrath was a great Humanities 125 teacher. All homework is due every two weeks which includes: 2 discussion posts, 2 quizzes, the unit homework, and notes. She was a great choice for an online class. I would definitely take her again.

I took this class as a four week summer minimester online. I would recommend it to anyone. I wish I would have taken this as one of my first college classes. It was so helpful to have a refresher because now I feel more confident moving forward with my other classes. She was a great teacher! Very helpful and WANTS you to succeed. Take her!!!

I would highly recommend Prof Richrath. I've taken her twice (film and humanities) and both times were great. She is incredibly kind and supportive. You do have to work for your grade, but it never feels like an uphill battle because she wants you to succeed and is right there with you.

I recommend taking any of her classes if able. I took a 4 week Eng 110 class online and for being such a condensed class, she was amazing. She is truly what every professor should be. She genuinely wants you to do well in her class. She emails back fast, is a very fair grader and extremely understanding.

Sweetest professor ever, she always seemed so happy to be teaching, had fun assignments, and did not grade harsh whatsoever. One of my favorite and easiest English classes I have taken. I recommend taking her class!

Professor Richrath is a good professor. I enjoyed this class. I liked her choice of movies that we watched during the semester. The tests are a little difficult but not to bad. The director project was my favorite project.
