I have never had a professor who was so willing to help you. She will give 100% if you are also doing the same for yourself. She really knows her subject and she wants you to know it too. You have to work hard and she will help you. If you are taking her class to learn, all you have to do is apply yourself. Great teacher.

Achieved a 4.0 in both lecture and lab despite all the criticism. Very helpful during office hours. Recognizes effort and punishes half ass work. Responds quickly to email questions. Very difficult subject, syllabus provides calendar, reading list, and expectations from day 1. Responded well to constructive criticism and feedback.

Obviously wants to prepare us for future professional programs. Do the work and study. If you have any trouble, she will do anything she can to help - just GO TO OFFICE HOURS.

I have read some of the other ratings and I just don't get it. Stop whining and do your work! Such a great professor who really cared about how I was doing. She really wants you to do well, but you have to work to do it!

Dr. Bourcier was the most caring teacher I have ever had. I really needed this class for my program and she helped me more than she was required to. It's obvious that she really cares about her students. Best teacher ever.

Dr Bourcier is the best instructor I have had because she cares. I had some problems so I went to see her. She really helped me and I learned how passionate she is about her students. Grades fair, but she doesn't give it away. She wants you to learn.

Professor Bourcier was more approachable than any other professor I have had I will warn you though this is one of the hardest class I have ever taken. If you do the reading and guide before lecture and go to her office hours to ask questions about homework an A in this class is 100% attainable(but not effortless). responds to emails w/in 24 hours

This class seemed a lot harder in the beginning than it turned out to be. There is a homework assignment after each lab that takes about 30-45 min to complete. Full points on them arent hard especially if you take your homework to her office hours. She will tell you straight up if you are missing anything. She'll walk you thru confusing questionsto

I needed this class to get into the nursing program so I was nervous to take Dr. Bourcier. It was a great decision because she was real helpful whenever I asked for it. Don't get me wrong, I had to study, but whenever I asked for help Dr. Bourceir helped me alot. She really cared about how I did.

After things that I heard, I wasn't sure about this class. At the beginning I was pretty intimidated. Turns out that it was okay. I worked hard, but Dr. Bourcier answered my emails and I felt like I mattered. I did well, and got a recommendation for my program too! Great instructor.

The best instructor I have ever had. No doubt. Dr Bourcier doesn't play around, but you know what is expected. I used what I learned in her class so many times in later classes. I gained so much confidence in myself from her class.

Dr Bourcier is so organized and u can see that she really cares about her students. Just do the work and you'll be fine.

Lab was fun. I learned a lot. Class is is challenge but if you go to her she will help you. I heard students making excuses, but if you study you will do well. Take good notes. All of her test and quiz questions come from notes and homework. I think Dr B was really good.

If you want to do well with minimal effort she's definitely not the professor for you. There are other professors that are significantly easier than her. She's very passionate and wants you to be passionate and learn. If you're willing to put in the effort you will learn a ton because she pushes you to have a deeper understanding of the material.

I went to office hours all the time and got a lot of help. DRB is the most willing instructor that I have ever had to help. She is understanding if she thinks you are trying. I am learning a lot and hope to have DRB recommend me into the nursing program.

I really only appreciated Dr. Bourcier after I was in the nursing program. At the time that I had her, I thought that it was a lot of work. Once in the program I realized how much I benefited from what she had taught, but more importantly that I learned to LEARN in her class Nursing school is much harder!!! Take her and get the advantage later!

I often had questions when I studied for tests. I was always surprised that Dr. Bourcier answered my emails, even on weekends. Once I emailed her before a test on a Sunday night - late, and she still answered. Don't get me wrong, I worked in this class but I learned a lot and Dr. Bourcier was very willing to help.

Dr.B took part of her lunch time to help make up two quizzes and work on my study guide. She is willing to help if you want to put in the effort.

I appreciated that Jenifer always made me feel that I was the only student that she had. I know that she teaches a lot of classes, but everytime I went to her she helped me and didn't make me feel rushed. She even answered my questions when I emailed her. If you want a professor who cares about how you do in her class, go talk to her.

a lot of the class was nervious after the second test. I went to Jenifer and asked about my grade in the class. She said your doing just fine and let me look at a spreadsheet of how the grades are determined. I was a 3.0! My best advice is to work and it and hang in there. Jenifer is on your side, you just have to do the best you can. Ask her

The extra credit and hidden questions on the exams are great. It makes it fun to try and find the bonuses. I really enjoy the extra spin that Dr. Bourcier puts on her class. A few weeks ago she even had an experiment that we could taste. No one else does that.

Very passionate instructor who is always trying to help those who help themselves. I went to her office b/c I couldn't make it to office hours. She was eating her lunch, but still stopped and helped me. Very caring. I learned a lot about micro. Dr. Bourcier wrote me a recommendation even though I didn't get an A. But i tried hard.

She loves her job so much that it's exciting to go to her class. She responds her emails almost instantly or within a few hours. She is always willing to give up her free time to make sure you understand the material. Study hard, and schedule meetings with her and you will be fine!

I really appreciate the effort and the organization of this instructor. I learned so much from her. I listened regularly to a group of students who were dissatisfied. I know, however, that many of them were not putting in the effort or initiating their own learning. Dr. Bourcier really put her students first and you could tell that she cared.

I didn't realize how important this instructor was to me until I reached the nursing program. So much of what I learned in Dr. Bourcier's class was invaluable to me when I met the challenges of the classes for nursing. Thank you Dr. Bourcier for preparing me and my apologies for not appreciating that fact earlier.

Dr. Bourcier spent so much time with me - and she never made me feel bad about it. She always had a lot of others at office hours, but managed to get us all in. She sometimes had us working together. So dedicated. You can tell this is more than just a job for her.

Dr. Bourcier is the best professor I've had since attending LCC. She is an amazing person and you can really tell she is passionate about what she's teaching. If you are willing to put in the time, work, and effort, you will be successful in her class. I would 10/10 recommend taking Microbiology with Dr. B.

Dr. Bourcier is passionate about her subject and her students. She believes that her students can learn and has office hours that I encourage attendance too. She takes time with her students so they can learn. She can be a little type-A when it comes to how things are done but respect her and she will take her time to make sure you understand.

By far the best teacher I have had in college. Always made time for us outside of class. Passionate and hilarious about her bugs. Dont get me wrong, she expects a lot but gives you lots of help.

I admit that I did not appreciate Dr. B a lot when I took her class. She was a good teacher, but the things that I learned only became really important later - when I entered by profession program & had to take some of the standardized tests. Life gives you more experience and wisdom. At the time that I took this prof, I didn't know - what I didn't know! It is only after I had to take the NCLEX that I appreciated Dr. B at the level that I should have. I used the info that I learned in her class to answer so many of the questions. Thank you. Such a caring and cooperative professor. She was always available between chats and zoom appointments. The subject required some work, but the online lectures are very good and I love that I can go back and listen again. Super organized. All due dates and expectations are clear and given ahead. Do the work and you will have no problem.

Definitely knows micro and makes her objectives clear. She helps in any way she can. Make sure you do the work ahead of the due dates because you can submit again if things are wrong. She helps if you go to office hours. Love Dr B
