This teacher is not open minded she thinks she knows it all and is very narrow minded so if you have a creative mind this is not the class for you

she is nice an yes she gives jokes but i wouldnt recommend her as the best english teacher.she is very confusing an every paper you turn in no matter how long or short has to be rewritten. if you get her as a proffessor run especially if you are tryin to get into the nursing program.

I'm taking her eng99 class now she is not helpful at all. she is rude and likes to augur with students she does not have an idea how to teach students. very confusing and expects a lot from you. she just keep asking you do your summary. she doesn't teach how to write an essay at all. I want to pass catw test and want my money back.

I took her class in winter, the class was full, after few weeks, about 10 people dropped out the class, she gave us a lot of homework which confued us, and she never taught how to write an essay. We all know topic, thesis, but how, why? She makes so much confuse to students. After midterm, only 15 people, in the end, only 7! Yes, thus true. 7!

She is a very hard grader. she notes going to the writing center and she lets you redo your essay but still " this is not mu stander". Boom. the eesay is failed..

Very hard grader. Her class is a dictatorship, you have to shut up and listen. Yes she will clearly tell to at least half of the class to drop because otherwise she will fail them. We started more than 20 and ended only 7. But if you survive you will definitely know how to write a paper afterwards.

EXTREME AMOUNT OF WORK. a lot of assignments, a lot of reading, a lot of essays and rewrite. she is very hard in grading your papers, even if you put a lot of effort into it, she won't give you credit if is not up to her standards. i DO NOT RECOMMEND HER to anyone. don't make yourself miserable. you have been warned!!!!

She is hard grader, if English isn't your first language, don't take her class. She has discrimination of students and specially who cannot speak English as well. Good luck with this teacher. One little grammar error will cost you major points. On the one paper I have turned in so far, I have only received comments on how to use a spelling and grammar checker. HINT: Most checkers will not catch the "mistakes" this teacher will dock you points for. Using multiple checkers might save you.

Im a student with a G.P.A of 3.9, and 52+ credits. Having come from classes such as Calculus, and Physics, history,instructed by professors that have a Doctorate degree; I have learned to work hard for an A grade. very bad professor. she talks a lot in the class, but it doesnt mean anything. No matter how many times u have been to writing center, she still writes grammer errors on ur paper. Baumgartner is the worst english professor in this college. She judges students based on their race. If the student's first language isn't english, she will pick on that student. Unless you are a professional writer, do not take this class because she will not help or take you seriously. She is suppose to help students but instead brings them down

Thanks god I dropped her class in last moment. This is definitely the worst teacher I have ever had since I have been at LAgcc. She is not helpful at all. She does not explain what is required and she makes a big deal when you ask questions pertaining to the assignment. Beware of this teacher if you want to succeed and maintain a good GPA. She isn't very clear on what she wants on her essays topic. She grades hard and want lots of quotes in your essay, which will raise your plagiarism percentage up (even if you cite it right). She makes the class harder than it has to be, nice teacher but all over the place when trying to explain.

This was a Very tough class. Rewrite doesn't help you to improve your grade, ASK QUESTIONS doesnt help much because her narrow mind or get a bad mood from her . I believe this woman does care about students and likes to bring them down and failing them. dropping her class is a solution of your life.

the class itself is fine but the essays are killer. she wants you to be really specific and will attack you personally if you argue with her. wants things done her way. if you're used to getting good grades in english, prepare for a shock. there are better teachers to take.

At mandatory conferences, she attacks the student rather than give constructive criticism. Also is inconsiderate on time leaving students waiting hrs She does not want to hear anything other than you agreeing with her. If you do not agree with her, you have to hold it in or she will take it out on your grade.

Never had a worst experience with a professor. She goes on random racial and feminism rants. Her assignments are unclear and you will not get a good grade unless its done the exact way she wants it. Very bipolar, rude, and is not understanding. She doesn't believe in technology, so don't bother emailing. Avoid, period.

If you take her class, make sure you get on her good side: be prepared, come to class on time, and always agree with what she has to say. She goes on long tangents and you learn almost nothing. Toke her 101 this semester. I needed an A for nursing and I just found out that you can't retake a class unless you scored below a c average, she gave too much work and for someone who has always received A's on my essays she made that completely impossible, her feedback is garbage because it doesn't even matter if you revise, the grade change is very minimal

Very unorganized. She tells students to briefly write about something and then complains about things students didn't include, without her explaining or asking for them it. She isn't very clear about what she wants. She said it herself, she "doesn't give As". The highest grade you'll receive is B+ whether you deserve it or not. One of the worse.

When I took Jennifer class she was really demanding about the work we had to do for the class, it was really excessive. At one point I had an extenuating circumstance and asked for an extension she was so rude about it. It was honestly the worst experience I had at Lagcc thus far.

The assignments were vague. I could seldom take creative liberty on my work, and she would leave confused comments when I tried. She always asks for more, but never says what "more" is. Essay's had potential to develop unique ideas, but these ideas were stifled by her comments and expectations. Class discussion was an absolute train wreck.

This thing(JB) will assign essays & will REFUSE to help you if you have a question about the assignment. When I asked her a question about my essay, she told me to find help from anyone but her. It does not clarify anything about the assignments. That thing doesn't explain assignments well but it is a tough grader

She also expects everything done in the most specific manner and will not accept any onions from students, very suborn . She is passionate, but she just expects too much in too little time.

When I first started this class I was very optimistic. She seemed well-organized and had a timeline for the assignments. As the semester went on I learned that she doesnt care about how good your essay was. She only cares about her opinions and if you dont meet those expectations dont expect a good grade or even a grade at all. Run far away
