If you're the type of person who enjoys teaching yourself a subject and barely showing up to class, then this is the course and professor for you. For the rest of you who don't(like me)and want the hands on approach, I'd advise you to pick a different professor. Dr. Bell is very passionate about Chemistry but take advantage of all the extra credit

I have a degree from UCF and am continuing my education and took her lab. She was the worst professor I've ever had. She may be "easy" but she doesn't teach. She sits and plays on her phone and can never answer questions thoughtfully. I was absolutely disappointed and put off by her level of participation in the class. F-

If you like reading the book prior to lecture and teaching yourself all the material, this is the professor for you. Dr. Bell talks really fast, doesn't explain concepts and skips whatever slides she wants. Her lectures are just her doing the example problems from the book, not teaching. Basically we learned nothing, just memorizing for exams.

Easy A. That's all that I can say about this call. You learn nothing in her class. It is an easy A, but if you need this class for your major, I beg you to avoid this proof.

I would not recommend her at all!!! This semester she wanted to try something new an have us work in groups. Her instructions are very unclear for these assignments and everyone in my class is also confused. We also have to work on Pearson assignments an she doesn't open them on the correct day that they should be open on!

Shes terrible. I like Chemistry and to be honest I started tuning out her lecture because it was less helpful than the book. She doesnt teach you anything, you have to teach yourself. Its frustrating. Get the textbook, be there for random attendance quizzes do the problems from the textbook religiously. Shes not a hard professor, just frustrating.

Worst professor I have taken in all my years of school. I have had her for a few semesters now and keep hoping it'll get better, but seems to get worse. She had random mood swings almost every class and tends to take it out on the students. She also has unqualified STUDENTS teach her classes while she sits downs and texts. DONT TAKE HER ES LAB

This class went absolutely horrible. Of the 27 people enrolled in this class, at least 15 received C's or lower. The tests had none of the material that we learned in class, and learn is a strong word in this case. She goes over 2 examples then moves on, skips most of the chapter, and the tests are unreasonably hard.

Dr. Bell seems to put forth zero effort into her class. She has no clue on how to give direction. We did three separate group projects and every time every member of my group did extra work or had a problem with something or another. After asking her questions several questions her answers were no help. Dr. Bell to put was awful.

I would NOT take a class again w/ this professor if I was paid to. Never gives any clear directions on any assignments, be prepared to decide it as best as YOU can, or you can reach out to her if you are ready to be talked to very rudely and treated like a child. Also very quick to judge students, especially if student doesnt share same views.

She makes you download honorlock, a spyware chrome extension that records you, your screen, browsing history etc. while taking tests. This is an utter violation of privacy, and its unbelievable that you're forced to do this to pass. I will personally make sure I never take a class by this professor again.

Avoid. Took this class online and taught myself everything. Chem is hard enough as it is and we got no help. She would always tell us to ask questions then gave extreme attitude when we asked. Unclear grading criteria for the labs. Overall I just didn't learn anything unless I sat for hours watching YouTube videos on the things she didn't explain.

Avoid if possible. Professor is not good at teaching and feels as though everyone should know it because it is "easy." Wants students to participate and ask/answer questions but once questions are ask she does not give a direct answer. She also has an attitude if you do not understand something or ask questions. The grading criteria is unclear.

Lazy, unprofessional, and political. Didn't learn one thing. You have to purchase Pearson Reveal and thats pretty much your whole course. Ask questions and she will give you attitude. Overall a horrible professor that teaches her class as if its a side hustle. I will never take another class of hers. I don't even understand how she still has a job.

While her class was relatively easy it was extremely frustrating all steps of the way there. She had a bad attitude the whole time almost making you feel below her. Seems to insert her own opinions into all discussions and even swears sometimes while normally I do not care but she seemed unprofessional. She did have a lot of cool guest speakers.

I am just finishing her Intro to Environmental class and all I can say is that this lady needs an attitude adjustment. The way she talks to students that are just asking questions is disgusting. In class we mainly just met with group members for the discussion that was due that week besides that she read lectures off slides

Highly political, arrogant, rude, and disorganized. She's the kind of person you'd see driving while wearing a mask, if that says anything. The grading criteria and instructions for most of her assignments are vague and unclear. Berates and talks down to any student that has an opinion that differs from hers. Do not recommend her to anyone. AVOID!!

This professor has zero professionalism. Relies way too heavily on TA's, they barely know what they are doing. Labs are hardly explained and when you ask for any assistance you're treated like garbage. I did fine because I understood the material but I watched others suffer. Teacher takes no accountability for poor teaching style. Avoid at all cost

Professor Bell was very quick with her responses, however, she was not very clear with them. Her instructions for assignments were not clear. I had a hard time with the group project at the end as well as the group discussions. If you have a difficult time understanding directions regularly, you may want to find another professor for this science.

Dr.Bell was one of the most unprofessional professors I ever had in my life. She does not answer questions clearly at all. She is very rude and when she is answering questions , she answers them like she is looking down at you. Her discussion posts directions are not clear and she will not help you.

This professor provides very unclear directions on her assignments, even after asking for clarification. This class is group-heavy and without a good group, you won't pass the class. Yes, even online. Her online classes are also date-locked so you can't work ahead. The amount of work needed to pass this was unnecessary, for a basic science class.

Dr. Bell is the worst professor I have ever had the displeasure of taking. She is unprofessional, and a bully. Her tests reflect nothing what she "covers" in class(she hardly lectures, just gives problems and expects you to come up and solve them) and she provides no exam review making passing them impossible. Shocked she is a tenured professor.

extra credit was the only thing that allowed me to pass this course. she is very knowledgeable in the subject but looks like she would rather be anywhere else. grading instructions are so unclear and group projects are the most prominent part of class. good luck :)

Poor grading criteria that is wrong and could bring your grade down for no reason other than her weighted grades are wrong.Directions all over the place and will ask a lot. Wouldn't recommend this course, unless willing to put in a lot of work without her help.Papers you must write are very specific, hard to research and politically driven as well.

This was the worst professor I have had so far. She used inquisitive and Norton which was easy but the discussions and the assignments were complicated and made no sense. The discussions and assignments are most of the grade and the instructions are hard to understand. If you are a busy person do not take this class.

Warning the weights in the grade book are wrong. Grades harshly with no reasoning. She grades the capstone DRAFT as if it is the final assignment and expects it to be flawless as a draft and will mark down 50% or more for one little mistake. Don't trust the final grade in the grade book she will post a lower grade then you expect to your portal.

Legitimately the worst professor I've had. Her assignments are tedious + confusing, with a lack of explanation overall. I currently having to prove I did her work to the school, bc she dropped me days before the quarter ends without notice after an error with the norton website (I did every assignment). Don't make the mistake I did, avoid this prof

Terrible communicator. Her instructions will often require calrification, and she will be condescending and rude about replying. Assignments are so difficult to understand, you will spend more time breaking them down and figuring them out than you will actually writing the essay. Grade book is not organized. Weighted grades make no sense.

Only had her for lab, not lecture. She is condescending. Be prepared to be yelled at. She does go over material and helps if the class is stumped. However, if you do anything wrong you're in for it.

Dr. Bell is a very poor communicator and has a demeaning way of talking to you. Asking questions is risky as she might lash out on you, even when you just ask for clarifications regarding assignments - she'll make you feel stupid. Heavy workload in this class with confusing instructions at times. A lot of opportunities for extra credit, though.

By far the WORST professor I have ever had. Has not updated my grade since the first week of school, and when asking her about it she essentially told me that I would not know my real grade until the last day of the semester. Is degrading and rude. Grades are confusing, as well as deadlines. DO NOT take her class.

Dr. bell was very rude and disrespectful, i was able to i was able to finish with an A because I ended up locking in and luckily she has extra credit available. I wouldn't bother emailing her because she will act like you're dumb for not knowing something.

Worst class I've ever taken. Expectations were vague, and when I emailed for clarification on a simple topic, I got a short reply that felt dismissive and belittling—and it didn't answer my question at all. If you want an instructor who treats you like a human and actually helps, avoid this section. I withdrew, even though I lost the money.
