Easy, fun class. Online homework can be comlicated but just ask her in class how to do it and she will help you. 3 tests and a final. Finals not cumulative. Easy to understand and very helpful. 19 students in our class, lowest grade was a B.

She's nice, but I felt like I was in high school again. The class was easy, which is a good and bad thing. I was bored out of my mind. She gives ALOT of examples, and when she makes up examples that apparently aren't true she has to say over and over and over again how it isn't actually true. Kind of annoying, but she is very helpful with homework.

She is not a very good teacher, hw had nothing to do with what she taught in class. Good choice especially for those taking MAT251 with previous experience in calculus. She's accessible on the class discussion board. Tests were very fair everything covered in the lectures are what are on the tests. There were no surprises in content. Although this class may be difficult because it is a math course on differential and integral calc

Professor Boney is a really nice lady. You can tell she enjoys teaching math and she cares about her students. She tends to use a really roundabout way of describing things though, effectively using more words than are necessary to teach a concept. This leads to confusion in learning the material. Gives you a lot of homework and you are graded on none of it. The only thing you are graded on is pretty much exams and the final which count towards most of your grade. Would not recommend if you aren't a great test taker like me.

Course is run through ALEKS which can be good or bad, but was a plus for me. Prof. Boney was very accessible and will go back through your tests and check your scratch paper for any partial credit that you may be missing out on.

Course was taught through ALEKS so there was limited input from the professor just by nature of the course, but I found Prof. Boney to be very responsive and willing to help students who needed additional help. Held office hours at a time voted on by the students at the beginning. Class is a lot of work but not difficult if you put the time in.

Please heed this warning if it reaches you in time - do not hire or take a class from this individual (Jennifer Boney). I am a senior with a 4.14 GPA and I had to drop MAT117 because of how incompetent and literally menacingly this professor was. I had to drop the class less than a week into the class. They literally intimidated and bullied me...

Do NOT take professor Boney. I don't know how she is in person, but online she simply does not care. I actually don't know how she is still employed. The structure of this class sucks, and her topic goals can be somewhat unrealistic in my opinion. Please take my advice and take someone else if you can.

Although the class is frustrating, I don't think the reviews reflect Prof. Boney's class. She provides practice exams, which are identical to the real exams. I've taken higher math courses, so I didn't have to watch many course videos; however, when I did they were short and to the point. Lots of homework, but doable and easy if you put in effort.

Not a bad class, professor was responsive with me. This class is fair game because you get to take review exams until you feel you're ready to take Module Exams (that's a big plus). Not really a difficult course (ALEKS). My only complaint is uploading scratch paper 15 minutes after exams (I found it difficult). All and all, a good professor/course.

The weight of grades is extremely irrational. There are 3 exams and they are weighted in the 20%s. There is so much homework and quizzes but only weighted at 2%. The extra credit says optional, but you get a zero if you do not do it. Professor is very rude. Would never take again or recommend.

Professor Boney... I'm not sure how she still has the title of professor. The reviews say it all. She made one announcement all semester, closed the discussion board before finals, and offered zero support. Her advice to me after a bad exam, was word for word “focus and do better.” She's setting students up for failure. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!

Professor Boney does not give much support at all, and is a little hard to approach. However, the online Aleks course was easy for me, and it is a self paced course, which is nice if you finish all of the topics ahead of time, being able to not attend class until the final exam. But if you're a person who needs support, do not take professor Boney.

Attendance was mandatory 3 days a week despite the course being online. I wouldn't have a problem with that if the teacher was involved. The TAs did all the work when students needed help. I asked for help with computer issues during a test directly to the professor one time, and she basically told me to figure it out and it wasn't her problem.

I know there are a lot of mixed opinions on this professor, but I have had no personal trouble with her. As long as you do your homework on time and (if online) do your room scan right, you're fine. People in my class are making a big deal out of nothing, but even I with dyslexia passed with a good grade. She isn't the best, but is not the worst.

I dropped MAT117 (online) today because this professor insisted that I "figure it out" when I told her that her requirements for using Honorlock were not possible for me, and suggested I purchase an external webcam. She looks for a full view of your face as well as your entire work area at all times, which is just not possible with most webcams.
